This place reminds me of a Texas Roadhouse, but not as good. They have the same peanuts that they seem to encourage you to toss the shells on the floor. It has the same chain feel to the restaurant and the faux friendly servers. I think the food is just not as good. I got the bacon cheeseburger ($15), something not so complicated to make. My friend got the rib eye with mashed potatoes and some weird veggies. Service was fine and the food showed up in a timely manner. My friend's steak was cooked a little more than he would have liked, but he ate it anyways. He said the meat quality was just OK and was a little tough. My bacon cheeseburger was just OK, it was made incorrectly, I mean the assembly was backwards with the meat patty on the bottom and the veggies and tomato on top .... WRONG! You put the meat on TOP of the veggies so that the meat juices wont soak directly into the bun and make a squishy mess and have the burger fall apart in the diners hands! Basic burger making people! I flipped the burger over and just ate it upside down. My fries were not hot as they should be, so they were sitting uner the heat lamp or my order just was sitting on the ready counter for too long before the server got it. Overall I've had a better experience at a Texas Roadhouse. This place not so much and I don't think I'll be back. Better steaks in Redding elsewhere. read more

We had a great dinner here while on a long road trip. We picked this place because it's dog friendly and has an extensive menu. The service was great--friendly, fast, and welcoming. Our dinners came out quickly. The chicken fried steak was good (4 star), the gravy was okay, mashed potatoes were good but very garlicky. The coleslaw could have been better. The hot rolls were fantastic! My husband devoured two of them and was super happy. The grilled shrimp were good and served an a small bed of rice. The steamed broccoli was plentiful. If you want it without sauce, just ask. The side salad was very fresh and crisp. The banana pie was good--just wish they used real whip cream. They do a group sing for birthdays and that can be noisy. Overall, it felt as if Denny's and Cheesecake Factory had a love child and it was Logan's. read more

Saturday night prime rib! There are a FEW restaurants in the Redding area that serve prime rib. But quality can be hit or miss at most of them. Not at Logan's! The prime rib was cooked to perfection! And ya know how frequently you get that piece that looks right but just tastes dry and "powdery" in your mouth? Not here! Our slices were seasoned and cooked to perfection. So much so that even (careful) reheating of the leftovers produced outstanding 2nd night dinner. Ricki Bobby, our waiter, was OUTSTANDING! He made appropriate recommendations and really knew what he was talking about. He was always available and generous with refills. Went there tonight for dinner with my husband, and unfortunately, it was a very disappointing experience. The service was decent, but the food was terrible. I ordered a steak, mashed potatoes, a side salad, and shrimp. I specifically asked for the steak to be cooked medium rare, but it came out extremely overcooked, well past well done. It was rubbery, dry, and nearly inedible. The shrimp were just as bad burnt, flavorless, and overcooked. I'm not sure why the kitchen thought it was acceptable to serve food in that condition. The only somewhat enjoyable parts of the meal were the mashed potatoes and the side salad. In total, we spent $61 and honestly, we would've been better off grabbing fast food. read more

Lets say this restaurant is in a great location near any Hotels, and Holiday Inn is close for dinner where I was currently staying at. Moving foreword, so I walked into this restaurant as it is right across from where I was staying for a night. Let's just say my experience was subpar, I didn't felt welcome coming in, I wasn't greeted or anything after patiently waiting for a good 10min at the front lobby waiting to be seated as stated "Please wait to be seated". As I find myself a seat, and I chose a random seat near the bartender, as I asked politely ask for a waiter/waitress if I can get a menu. Which was a bit awkward, as no one has ask me on where to be seated. As I was told "have I been helped". Other than that, this place definitely has potential, maybe all waiter/waitress or host/hostess needs proper training in my most humble opinion. Pros: -Great location near all restaurants and Planet Fitness, and also near hotels. -Military Friendly -And has happy hour on drinks only. Best to pre-game and come here for a drink. We found this gem of a place while in town for vacation. Ambience: very good atmosphere and western look, went for dinner. So it was busy but even then, timely. I entered the place, and a hostess greeted me. I told her I needed two dozen frozen rolls (we always serve Logan's rolls for Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners). She returns and takes awhile at the register, but finally hands me the bill. I paid with a twenty and got my change. I gave her a couple bucks tip (not much, but all she did was walk to the back and grab my frozen rolls out of the freezer). Then I noticed that I was charged $1.10 tax. I informed her that uncooked, unprepared food was not taxable in California. She said that she would inform her manager. Somehow, I suspect that nothing will be done about it. But those frozen rolls are no more taxable than any other unprepared food, and they should know it. Even the receipt labeled the item as 2 1 Doz Frz Rolls. I read that to mean 2 1 dozen frozen rolls. Later when I got home, I noticed another charge: a cc fee of 32 cents. Not much to complain about, but what is a cc fee, anyway? I've never seen such a charge on a restaurant bill. Edit: I researched cc charge. It's a fee for when you pay with a credit card. I paid with CASH. read more

You really need to educate your waitresses and hostess on how to treat people, and how to actually BE a waitress. The hostess was just rude. And the waitress seemed entirely overwhelmed when it really was not that busy. We had been so looking forward to "going out to eat" at Logan's as a treat. Went in today 4/5/25 service was mediocre waited a good 15 minutes if not more before our servers came to the table and asked for our drinks. We ordered, food came which also took forever and all except my husband left extremely dissatisfied not surprised though Logan's has gone downhill for years now they use to have great managers now from what I saw today they all seem clueless just standing around chatting with each other. I ordered a simple salad and the "fried chicken" was oozing oil and just tasted horribly like it had been cooked in old oil. This is not the Logan's I use to go to at least once a month I can confidently say I will never step foot in Logan's again $100+ on dinner for it to be completely disgusting. read more

Disappointed, what a joke! All 3 of us ordered the same 16-oz ribeye steak. All three of us got a different version. Mine was so fatty and grisly I sent it back to the kitchen. He had to tear his steak off piece by piece from the silver membrane (facia) that covered the entire bottom of his steak. A proper meat prep or sous chef wou have removed it when the steak was cut from the original side of beef after it was received from the butcher or meat vendor. Her steak was ordered medium rare (as were all) but there was barely any pink left and the meat was tough as leather. Lesson? If you wanna pay premium prices for substandard steak, Logan's is the place to waste your time and money! read more

I was staying at a hotel right across the street from Logan's roadhouse and decided to just walk over and have dinner at Logan's. This was my first time eating at a Logans roadhouse. I kind of figured It would be similar to a Texas roadhouse, which I have eaten there before. As soon as you walk in the first thing you see is the bar area which look pretty cool. It is located right at the center of the restaurant. Unfortunately I was to tire I just wanted to have a quick dinner and go back to my hotel room, so I sat at a booth. I went ahead and order some calamari, which was actually pretty good. The batter was well season and it actually had a nice crisp to it. I also went ahead and order the Roadhouse deluxe burger, which is a monster burger. I actually enjoyed it. It was nice and juicy, but what I really enjoyed more was that it was filled with red onions and grilled onions. I can see though how a person that doesn't like onions as much as I do might not like it, but in this case, I really enjoyed that. I also got a great service from my server Kara Jones. She was super friendly and very attentive. I like the fact that she kept on passing by to check up on me in case I needed anything else, so that was very much appreciated. read more

Logans Road House in Redding. The waiter was arrogant. The cook couldnt get my prime rib done the way I like it, had to send it back twice. The brocolli was mushy and our waiter was arrogant. He handed us our ticket before we could even start eating. And told us that our waitress couldnt tend to us cause she was in the rest room then came back and told us that she was sent home and he would be our waiter. He was polite but arrogant. Told us someone went to google reviews and posted nice things about him and that because of that people came in and told him they read it and just had to come in. What kind of waiter does that? You dont talk about your co workers or yourself like that. It is just not right. On our way out to the car I realized he was our server before and in the past he rushed us to leave before we could even get through ordering and then again as he placed our plates on our table( in the past) Logans Road house no longer has the peanuts. The hostess that seated us and our waitress Krysten were amazing. The food however was disappointing. The steak ordered was overdone and under seasoned. We were recommended the "fall off the bone" ribs but struggled to get the smallest sliver of dry meat off. We were grateful our waitress offered to replace them- chose the brisket the second time around. The meat was tender but both slices had a large ribbon of fat down the middle pretty much equal to the amount of meat so a lot went to waste. read more

I had to commend the exceptional service today at lunch. We stopped in during a road trip and I asked if we could sit outside due to having a small dog in the family. The host and hostess were exceptionally accommodating and insisted we sit inside with her. Our waitress Brandi was extremely friendly and attentive the entire stay. Overall the food was good. Salad, burger, brisket sandwich all hit the spot. My young niece was enjoying one of the coin operated machines but failed to win a prize. As we were getting into the car after, the host came out and gave her a stuffed animal, which was such a wonderful gesture. So nice to be treated so well by complete strangers! read more

We visited this location on a Friday evening with a very large party. Our waitress did an amazing job of managing our entire group on her own. I am not sure why another person wasn't assigned to assist her as she had to juggle our drinks, and food orders. She did an excellent job, the kitchen however did not. I ended up being very disappointed in my dinner, this is mostly my fault as I really do not know my steak cuts, they also did not cook it the way that I had requested. I wanted it medium-well with a little pink inside and it came out actively bleeding on my plate, which is a rarer than I would have preferred. I am too polite to send food back though, so I just ate it as is. Ironically, another person's steak came over to well-done and she sent it back for another one. I think that they had mixed our two steaks up, but I had already started eating mine or I would have offered to trade with her. The person sitting next to me ordered the ribeye, which is what I should have ordered as it is looked perfectly cooked. The baked potato was delicious, the macaroni and cheese was a bit more Velveeta polymer that I would have preferred. I did enjoy my Bloody Mary, which was just spicy enough. read more

Everyone is so nice, Emily is the hostess and is so very sweet when she realized we had four hungry boys with us she took their orders right away. She brought us the most delicious buttery rolls and that was amazing. Boys were happy as could be. We ordered Caesar Salad with Grilled Shrimp, the dressing was delicious and the shrimp were served hot and delicious. Fried Shrimp was so good with the side of coke slaw and baked potato. Wow it was allot of food and so good. Delicious cole slaw!!!! The kids had burgers and fries and they loved it. It was almost closing time and you would never know it by the service we got, everyone was so nice and friendly. Went to dinner on a Saturday evening, the place was busy but no waiting, which was nice! We had 4 people at are table, the 3 of us order the prime rib dip sandwich. 2 of us asked specifically no mushrooms. Upon the food arriving all sandwiches had mushrooms, 1 plate didn't have fries and they stated they would be ready soon, and the last plate of food was missing the side of broccoli that we had to mention was forgotten. Server apologized saying it was the kitchen that messed up the order. Dinner roll arrival was very delayed. Upon checking out we asked to have our bill split. When they brought are bill mine had a credit card charge fee already added (I was paying cash) and the other party didn't have the added fee. I asked our server why I had a fee added for a credit card in advance and he stated it was auto generated to be included in the price but would be removed when paying....kinda strange since I only received it and not the other bill at the table. I'm very frustrated that an added fee would be included when presenting the bill before even knowing the payment method. Overall the food was ok, server was really trying to hype up everything about the restaurant, and bad business practice by adding in extra fees.
