We went to Logan's Steak house in Redding tonight. 1: my boyfriend ordered a rib eye, they tried to pass off a bland, tasteless, tough New York Strip as a rib eye. 2: My daughter ordered a sirloin tip salad, and wait almost 15 minutes to get dressing for her salad. 3: My boyfreind had a large COCKROACH crawl under his chair. 4: The shrimp on my shrimp skewer was cold, grey and mushie. 5: My broccoli came with a complimentary piece of Teflon pan or painted plastic piece to gauge out my gum while chewing. $92 comp was our end result. I really like the staff here. They're friendly and personable, and seem to stay on top of refills etc. The yeast rolls are delicious but the meals are so inconsistent. This used to be one of my moms and my favorite places to eat lunch together but after having several bad meals, we stopped going all together. Chicken sandwich wouldn't be cooked through and the bun would be almost frozen.. the French dip looked like my three year old put it together, was way too chewy and grisly and he roll would constantly fall apart. We had family visiting from out of state and wanted to try Logan's since they have something similar back home they liked. They ordered the brisket and it was so badly burnt we asked for it to be taken back. We never try to complain but as we had a large group we wanted them to be satisfied. The waitress came back and told us the cook said it was acceptable. So unfortunately they've lost us as customers until we hear things in the kitchen improve. read more

Arrived at 5pm on Thursday, but couldn't be seated in a mostly empty dining room because they didn't have enough servers. While we waited we couldn't help but notice how dirty and worn everything looked, especially windows. Went to restrooms, the sinks looked like they've never been scrubbed. Finally seated, the table was sticky. Ordered from a sweet young girl, but food took more than 15 minutes to arrive. Half rack of ribs had no BBQ sauce, only their "rub". Salad lacked balance of lettuce to toppings. Our 3 entrees were overpriced for what was served. Obviously absentee owner & poor management of managers. Well I decided to try Logan's again after my horrible experience back in March. Thanks Joshua S. for renewing faith in Logan's Roadhouse. I would have given them 5 stars but my chicken, supposed to be on a sizzling skillet wasn't sizzling. Other then that all was good. If you go ask to be seated in Joshua's section. 1 star because I couldn't figure out how to put no stars. As I sit with my wife and son waiting for 15 minutes 2 young girls sit down 2 tables from us. They are immediately served water and bread. Then there drinks were ordered and served. Still not even a hello from someone. So my wife goes to ask the hostess to get someone to help us. He brings water and bread with what seems like no butter and no plates. 5 minutes later someone else walks by and I ask to get down plates she brings me three plates stacked together. As I go to give my wife the top plate it won't come apart from the second so I use some force to unbound the cheese and bacon stuck on there from the last people. I see the manager go by and show him, he walks away mumbling and comes back with new plates, he says these are fresh out of the dishwasher( and they were because they were still soaking wet). Well now we get to the ordering from the server, in the middle is phone starts ringing with some inappropriate song. So he reaches down and fumbles in his poker like he is Going to answer it. Lucky for him he did not. Steaks were over cooked when we talked to the manager to fix it he never offered to fix it we told him about the experience and then he just said yeah we will comp it what's your name and number so we can keep track of it. Like I was a professional complainer. So I walked out without eating or paying and got into my $100,000 car and went down the street. It will be another 10 years before I go back. read more

We frequently go to Logan's for dinner. Last night we went and after we were seated it seemed like we were forgotten. After some time we waved over a waitress and asked for service. Sounds like I shouldn't be giving a five star rating does it? Well actually, without us even complaining or asking they comped our bill except drinks because they know they didn't give us the service that they like to give. I was very impressed to have this kind of service recovery without me even having to complain. The food was fantastic and the waitress did an amazing job of making up for the delays despite it being a very busy night. When you get this kind of service recovery please remember to tip your wait staff well. We tipped our waitress what the cost of our meal should've been. read more

Have been going to Logan's for many years, until mom passed 3 yrs ago. Decided to go back for family b'day. This was the worst service we 4 ever had. Waitress was nice but missed parts of our orders. Took a very long time to place our orders then took quite a while to receive them. We always order their Road House Original Tea. This time they were very weak. For my order I showed the pic of the 6 Oz sirloin and skewered shrimp, med rare, sides of baked potato and skewers veggies (which were great). Never got the shrimp and didn't realize it til after we left. I had forgotten to take my leftovers, with the sirloin I never touched, but wasn't going back for it til I realized I had never gotten any shrimp. Was back within few mins but even though everything else was still on the table the leftover box was gone. We like the relaxed atmosphere but were disappointed in the service this time. We hope this is not the norm now. Will try again before writing them off. read more

Almost 3 hours later, we were finally leaving after a family dinner! Service was horrible! Not our waitresses fault though, they over booked her. Took 20 minutes before anyone came to our table. Rolls arrived after 40 minutes but no one ever brought plates. Bartender was rude to my brother. He ordered two drinks and the second drink came in a much smaller cup. He took it to the bar and the bartender told him it's the same thing, one just has more juice in it and she can dump it in a bigger cup if that's what he wants?!?! Really? Wow, that's some excellent customer service right there! We finally got our food which some of it had to be sent back. Hamburger was sent back, way too raw! By the time it came back out, we had to get it to go! All the food was over priced and either over cooked or undercooked. My sister in law complained to the manager but nothing got any better. Our tabs were so messed up that we had to spend another 15 minutes for them to get it right. Mine was still wrong but I paid it just to get out of there. Definitely recommend sitting at the bar. My friend and I went in the other night and had a pretty brunette bartender wait on us. It was a pretty busy night, not too long before closing time, and we had a great time. Liz was very nice, and drop dead gorgeous. Would have asked for her info had there not been a huge rock on her finger... very nice and great to look at, not to mention great at her job. She went out of her way to make sure our food was cooked just how we wanted. Made us excellent drinks, too!! I had a whiskey coke and my friend had one of the famous iced tea drinks. Both were perfect. I sit at a lot of bars, and this one may be my new favorite. Everyone was having a good time and Liz was making sure to include everyone (even the seemingly homeless guy who came in for a drink) in conversation. She was making drinks so fast and interacting with the other staff nicely, too. So nice to see that there are still good bartenders out there! I'll be back the next chance I get. read more

Called in an entree express order at 8:10, 50 minutes goes by and Logan's calls me back saying that entree is on their way but they're going to charge us a double delivery cuz it was past their closing (they close at 9).. but we called at 8:10.. so anyway the delivery guy gets to our house, and we asked why we were getting double charged and he told us Logan's messed up and forgot to call in our order and that he wasn't going to charge. So then we notice that my entire meal is missing but we got charged for it. So I waited and hour and a half for my food, and get nothing. Thanks for ruining my night and sending me to bed hungry Logan's! Might I add, we called for a refund(which they gave) and the manager didn't show a care in the world. read more

I had a very bad experience with my dinner that consist of 5 and a baby last night around 5 pm. We walked in, there was one person being helped by the cashier, we waited for her to be done with him, we went to walk up to be helped she walked away left us standing there we then was approached by another girl asking us if we had been helped we said "no" she walked off, another girl walks by us in a red shirt walks to the register then the other girl came back they then started talking to each other nothing about work, we then got asked if we had been helped again we said "not yet' she said to us that she would get help for us the first girl ended up saying she would be seating us we told her there would be 5 and a 1/4 which was a baby she acted as if we didn't say anything to her then she said to us "for 2" we then said it again for "5 and a 1/4" . We finally get seated.Our other partys get there which we had asked for a high chair we ended up having to hold the baby for a good 10 15 mins before we finally got somebody to bring one then it was to low for where we were seated she couldn't even see up at the table. So finally we were asked what we wanted to order we told her our order then asked if they had a higher chair for the baby it took for our salad to come before the second chair came. I then got up ask if they did the Happy Birthday thing to people they said "Yes" but it wasn't singing it was shake these things and made a bunch of noise. She then asked me "where was we seated I told her she then said she would take care of it. They never came.We are finishing up our dinner my husband then told her it was his Birthday not a word from her then she comes back with this little tiny bucket of a whatever it was. Now mind you our meal was over a $ 100.00. we were never talked to again to see if our food was ok or how we were doing we were asked once if we wanted anything more to drink. Maybe this is good food for this area but I was not impressed neither was my boyfriend, first of all do they mention the peanut shells on the ground smashed everywhere? No. We ordered two different burgers both over cooked, and took 25+mins to arrive at our table, it was 8oclock and the rush had all just left maybe they were trying to recoup? But the actual hamburger itself was Ammonia tasting like cheap old beef.... Fries were good. Ate here on Friday, 9/15. Won't be back. It is becoming very dirty and run down. Our waitress was unwilling to check with the bartender to see what IPA beers were on draft that night. My husband ordered a T bone steak medium rare and instead received a rib eye medium well. The waitress didn't offer to replace it, just said "sorry". We have been long time customers (since opening in Redding). Last night we received the worst service ever! It took a while to be seated and we were placed at a table in the bar area. Our server took a long time to get to us to take our order. Having sat a while already we ordered our dinner at the same time as our drinks to save time. Or s we thought. We also told her we would have a take out order as well. After another long wait our drinks arrived. We had indicated we would like rolls which came even later than the or drinks and were over baked! After another long wait a different server (both had been working the bar) showed up and said she was taking over as our server. She indicated that she was going to check on our take out order! We told her we were still waiting on our dinner to which she replied she would check on both. Eventually our dinner arrived via yet another server. We had ordered the meatloaf which we usually enjoyed. his time there were so many chopped onions in the meat loaf that it practically falling apart. My guess was that it was packed with way more onions than usual to cut down on the amount of meat used to make the meal. In addition all of our sides were cool! It was obvious that the meal had been setting a while before being served. No one came by to as how everything was with our meal or to refresh our drinks! We finished our meal and sat waiting for our take out order and the bill. After a long wait the order came and our server dropped off the bill and quickly left again. We placed our card on the bill and placed it at the end of the table in plane sight. We could see that our server could see it but she did not return to take payment for over 15 minutes. Finally, we had had enough and went up to a floor manager and asked if he could ring us up, that we had been waiting a long time for our server! Of course then she was right there! He ran our card then gave everything back to our server and he quickly shot off to the kitchen. No apologies or questions. Our server handed the receipt and a pin to us and said have a nice evening and left us standing near the kitchen entrance! We ended having to give our signed receipt to yet another server who was ringing up another order! Worst service ever! Anywhere! Lastly I would like to add that the place was not even that busy! I really hate to leave a bad review but the last few times we have been here the service was horrible. We sat there forever before our drinks came, took even longer before we got our order taken. She tried to walk away before all of our orders were even taken! Dont know what was up with this girl? Off day? Had to ask for a soda twice before she brought it. Same with a side of ranch. Asked her twice to refill the soda. She kept saying sorry that she forgot. Food took over 45 minutes (which isnt the servers fault). But the food was really good. Server got one of our orders wrong but we ate it anyway because we knew how long it would take to fix. They werent very busy. Or maybe there was only one server for the whole place? Who knows. The hostess ended up picking up her slack. Bathrooms were gross. Its really unfortunate because this used to be my favorite restaurant. Probably wont be back for a while. And definitely wont be recommending it. If the food didnt make up for the horrible service, I wouldnt have even been back this time. Good job kitchen. read more

After fishing all day my husband and I were hungry, tired and didn't feel like fast food. As we were driving back to the hotel we saw that Logan's Roadhouse had a parking lot with several cars and an inviting appearance. We walked in and the peanut shells all over the floor made it look like a fun place. Our server brought us water as ordered however, when she delivered them it was in such a hurry that it felt like she threw them on the table with no eye contact. When she came back to take our orders we told her she forgot the lemon for the water. That came back again with a quick toss on the table. After about 15 minutes our order finally arrived, again tossed onto the table, turned around and walked away. My hamburger was well done as was my husbands. We ordered medium. As I was getting ready to pick up my hamburger I felt the top of the bun was chilly. I pulled off the top bun, felt the underside of it AND IT WAS FROZEN!!!! My husband had to get up, wait at the bar for someone to notice he had a question and the waitress was sent to our table. She apologized for the mishap, ordered another bun, warmed, and the manager came to our table to deliver it along with a side order of fries, and apologized. All in all it was a tasty end to a very long day and we were especially thankful for the discount we received for the mistake. read more

My 2nd time eating here and once again my steak was overdone than brought to me completely raw. And again raw till the 4th time and it was leather. The manager proceeded to argue with me about there being a little pink in the middle of this 4th one so I gave up. I also had to tell them that i needed New sides as mine were now freezing after 45 minutes. The manager offered to take my plate off the bill after the 3rd time but my family had already eaten all their food by the time i got mine and it was Mother's day. My son told them they should cover all of it so he did. The thing is, you can't charge 30.00 for a steak if you don't know how to cook it. I'm happy to pay a decent amount for a good steak but learn how to cook it. The waitress didn't come back to check on us ONCE after the manager took the bill.
