This place was right down the road from where I live and I really wanted an açaí bowl. I remember a friend told me about them and said that they had some good ones. So I decided to give them a try. The place is an open area with tents up so you have shade and there's tables to sit down while you wait for your food. I had the brownie açaí bowl and I must say it was really delicious the brownies were very soft not hard like some brownies are and everything was just the right portion. I will definitely be going back to try a different açaí bowl. I also heard that they have good coffee too so definitely need to try that as well. read more

Decided to try a new coffee spot today. Trying to support more local when possible. I've been craving a good black sesame latte and saw this place had good coffee reviews so off we went. The sesame latte was so good. Got it with oat milk. Not too sweet and you could definitely taste all the sesame. Daughter decided on the Loke latte even though I told her someone reviewed that it was really sweet. She liked it but it definitely was a little too sweet for me, but it was a honey sweet so not bad. The only downside was we went around 1030am and the neighboring truck was full on bbq-ing their chicken so the smoke was intense. After 15-20 of being there we came home with our hair and clothes smelling of smoke :( Not the coffee shop's fault but still a bummer. Super cute little trailer in the Waipahu shopping center. We both had acai bowls and the vanilla oat latte. Everything was fresh and tasted great! It was honestly pretty busy for a Saturday morning nearing 10am. So we waited about 5-10 mins for everything. Coffee was strong and had great flavor. Not too sweet! One of my favorite spots to get matcha , right in the heart of Waipahu, so I don't have to drive all the way to town! I've tried all their different matcha flavors, and the banana pudding is definitely my favorite. It's not too sweet and has just the right amount of bitterness, exactly how I like it. They also don't skimp on portions , you really get what you pay for. The taste is consistent every time I go. Parking is decent, and the staff is always friendly. Theirs a small little seating area but keep in mind theirs other food establishments as well so I can see it getting busy, I usually just grab my order and go. I stopped by to try their banana pudding matcha. I had to wait in line in the hot sun to order and then wait another 20 minutes at a table under a tent for the drink. There's surrounding food trucks and I was offered a huli huli chicken sample (a whole drumstick) while I was waiting. I'm grateful, but I did leave sweaty and smelling like smoke. The matcha itself was just okay and the pudding alone was just okay too, but mixed together was pretty good. Unfortunately, I don't think I'd go through all that again for another drink. I finally got the rare opportunity to try this stand.. and when i say rare I mean their hours are 8-3?.. but i work 7-3:30. By some stroke of luck, my Boss wanted to go to Tanioka's and I had asked him if we could stop by. I tried to call 4 different times because i know how busy it can get for them. Three tries and it went to voicemail, one time someone did pick up(asked me to wait) and then hung up. We decide to just head down and there were about 5 people in line, it seemed like a Family had just placed a fat order so they were trying to hurry and fill that, plus everyone in line, plusssss their online/phone. So do pack your patience. I ordered the Banana Pudding matcha and Thai Coffee. At the end of it, it was too watery/weak for my liking. But I'm also the type of person to drink straight espresso. The cashier was very friendly and the price point was average so that's why I'm not too bothered by the experience. I do understand it's a small business (much less a stand) and they do try their best to offer different opportunities to place an order but at the end of the day, the real coffee drinkers really want to be in and out. I waited 30minutes all together, both drinks with tip $16.. Having the option to phone order (but not picking up the phone) or DoorDash (but the estimate time is 45m-1hr) makes it hard on both the Business and Consumer if you don't have the man power. But I'm glad I got to try them! They have some wonderful menu items for Breakfast so if you're in the area without an agenda, I'd say it's worth checking out. read more

This coffee shop is in a little grouping with food trucks in the middle of the parking lot. Place had good music playing and felt lively. The lady taking my order and than man who brought the drinks out were very friendly and inviting. The cashier was clear on wait times (25 minutes) and it actually came out around 20 minutes. As I finished a long day of work I realized I needed a bit of caffeine before heading home. My original idea was a sad iced coffee from Jack in the Box, but my plans changed immediately when I spotted the Loke Aloha Coffee truck! I parked and took a Quick Look at the menu before deciding on the black sesame latte, which they kindly blended at my request. I also could not resist the strawberry Nutella croffle, most of which came home with me for later because whooooboy did I have enough sugar in my system after a bite or two! My latte was perfectly exactly what I needed. A shot of espresso, the nutty sesame flavor, and the fun of a blended drink kept me going for the rest of my day. The lovely attitude of the young woman working the window put a smile on my face, especially as I watched her help the customers in line while I waited for my order to be made. I love that there's a tiny food truck gathering in the middle of a bunch of established restaurants. This is proof that there is space for all types of food and plenty of business to share. With customers coming from every direction- including above via the rail stop just a block away- it will be interesting to watch this neighborhood change. Loke Aloha is a tiny establishment sharing a parking lot with two Filipino restaurants, an El Salvadoran place, a Chinese standby, and a bunch of fast food. Stopped by Loke Aloha Coffee in Waipahu for the first time & tried their iced Loke Latte (got two regulars). The man taking orders was incredibly kind and welcoming--really set a good tone for the visit. The spot is tucked away in a food truck lot near Jack in the Box and Arby's, w/ outdoor tables where you can sit & wait or enjoy your food. The menu was full of delicious-looking drinks and food. After ordering, I was told it'd be about 10-15 minutes, which sounded fair. But in the end, the drinks took exactly half an hour to come out after ordering. There were a couple of ppl in front of me so maybe things got backed up a bit. I go to many cafes to try out diff lattes & this latte was pretty tasty. I've tried a handful of their drinks: black sesame latte, loke latte, banana pudding matcha and coffee, haupia matcha, mango matcha. Majority of what i've tried are good. Dont know if they use ceremonial grade matcha but, for the price and taste, I can look pass that. My fave is their haupia matcha. I would pass on their mango matcha. I ordered it to try something different. I like mango and I like matcha so I figured it'd be something I like. But I was wrong. The flavors just didn't complement each other whatsoever. read more

I discovered a new coffee place in Waipahu suggested by a friend. Well it's actually a coffee truck and it's close to where I work. I have stopped here twice and have enjoyed my coffee. The menu has a good selection of simple drinks to speciality and matcha drinks. I have yet to try the scones and acai bowls. That will be next time for sure.
