We had a great time here! We were relaxing by the pool, enjoying the atmosphere, and it was nice to just sit back and relax by the water. We tried several different drinks throughout our visit, and every single one was delicious and well made. We also ordered the calamari, which was good. Our server was amazing and made sure we had everything we needed.

Came here today for lunch and overall had a good experience. My friends and I chose to sit outside by the water for the vibes and views since they had a dj playing some music and the weather was nice. It gets pretty hot outside so maybe if you're not in a bikini, choose to sit inside or under the covered patio area instead. They have pretty big umbrellas covering the tables but when the sun moves it can cause you to end up being stuck in the sun and being roasted. Since this restaurant is at a hotel they also have a pool but only hotel guests are allowed to use it. There's a nice large covered bar outside as well as high top tables in the shade as well. On the weekends they only offer the brunch menu during the day and then the dinner menu later on in the evening. The lunch menu is only available on weekdays during the day. They have valet parking as well as paid parking in a lot right across the street that's like $2/hr. The food and drinks were okay, nothing to rave about. I thought they were a little over priced for what it was but it wasn't bad. We got the guacamole to share and while the guac was a decent size, they give you about 3 chips for the dish so we had to order another serving of chips. For my meal I got the grilled chicken Cesar salad with a side of truffle fries. The salad was not my favorite. The chicken felt sparse for $9 and was a little dry/overcooked tasting and the salad barely had any dressing or cheese or anything on it. I also got the side of truffle fries which were really good! After a few bites I noticed a hair in my food which I made my server aware of and she immediately got the manager who offered to replace my meal and comp the dish which I thought was very nice. The place does seem like a nice little vibe to come get a drink at, but I probably won't eat anything here anymore. Our server was super nice and caring and took great care of us.

Lola's on the water formerly The Sands... Beautiful upgrade & decorated. Love the colors yellow & white. The staff really stand out with their bright yellow shirts. A group of friends visited to celebrate 2 birthdays. Our group was a party of 13. Our server was Steven, he was very professional & welcoming & very quick with our order. Zero complaints from us! We enjoyed the food & drinks!

Lola's on the Water is such a cute new spot in Pompano. Perfect place to grab a bite with girlfriends or relax on their day beds and soak up the sun right on the water. The service was not the best at first, but I honestly think it was because they had only been open a few weeks and we were seated at the last table outside. Once the manager realized we had not been attended to, everything completely changed. He was excellent and made sure we were taken care of for the rest of the meal. The food was really good. We ordered the burger, salmon, eggs Benedict, and margaritas. Everything was great, but the burger and scalloped potatoes were definitely our favorites. So much flavor. Overall, such a cute brunch spot with friends, and the fact that they are dog friendly is a huge plus. Definitely worth checking out.

Nice canal-side bar and restaurant Only had drinks and appetizers. Nice SHRIMP LOUIE and GUACAMOLE & PICO while watching the boats down the intercostal canal.

Really pretty setting for a sunset meal. The hotel lobby you walk through to get to the restaurant is cute and modern with a touch of whimsey. The restaurant area itself faces the inlet and is really nice to sit and watch the boats while you dine. The servers were also nice. The food was... meh. I don't think anyone was wowed with their meal. The fried calamari was soggy when it arrived. The branzino was ok, but needed more seasoning. The short rib was burned. The surf and turf was pretty bland as well; with the lobster tail overcooked. The burger was ok. All in all, it's a pretty setting, but the food is way overpriced for the quality you received. Also... the chairs were quite awful. Anyone with hips or is heavyset would have trouble dining here. We looked around and pretty much all the women were bulging out of the oddly designed chair arms. Not just the heavy people; normal curvy women. They should burn these to be honest. For this price point I'd probably go somewhere else unless the food improves. Maybe I'll try it for the lunch specials which are not as high, where a mediocre meal doesn't bother as much.

The view was amazing. Food was healthy. Perfect end to a great vacation. Alex was a delightful host to our evening.

I'd read about this restaurant located on the Intracoastal in the Harbor Sands hotel. I'd bookmarked it. We'd been to this location previously when it was a few other restaurants. Lola's now has the inside as well as pool side dining, dockside, and at the bar. The restaurant soft opened in the fall, but has only "officially" been open a few months. There is free valet parking at the hotel for lunch -- which we did not see until we were leaving. There's also paid parking across the street in a lot. We sat at the bar and got to watch the water and the passing boats. My husband had a cheeseburger. It came with thin French fries. He said it was quite good with that charcoal grill flavor that he likes. I had their Louis salad. It had four huge shrimp, chopped egg, and ripe avocado slices over crisp ice berg lettuce. And the Louis salad dressing on top. Just so refreshing and delicious. Prices were not cheap -- is anything these days? But we felt that in a tourist area, on the water, at a hotel, what we had was quite well priced and worth it. A number of the bathing suit attired visitors seated by us at the bar were enjoying appealing margaritas. We got very good and personable service from Dylan, by the way. Next time we want to "play tourist" , we know where to come.

Open a few months now, Lola's on the Water is a popular spot! There is Valet Parking (free for lunch) or you can use the public lot across the street via Parking App (the machine is broken!). They offer inside seating with a patio opening on the pool as well as Waterside Bar seating. We sat at the bar to enjoy the Waterside view and ambiance. I ordered a Cheeseburger with fries. It was very good and had a nice char. My wife enjoyed her Shrimp Louie Salad with nice sized shrimp, avocado and lettuce. Great service from behind the bar offered up by Dillion.

From the moment we walked into Lola's, I could tell we had a winner. This water front restaurant just opened in pompano beach and it truly has the potential to be the next hot spot. We were here for Sunday brunch. The drinks were strong and the food elevated. Kristen H, our adorable waitress was just a ray of sunshine. I opted for the unlimited mimosas with my food. Each time she returned to our table, the glass got bigger. I love wait staff who recognizes the vibes and joins in! We were lucky enough to be seated at a table with a 360 view of the river. At Lola's you're also able to rent jet skis. They even have pink car shaped boat things that you're able to rent and drive out to the water. This is definitely something I'm doing on my next visit. At Lola's, a good time is a sure thing!

I love the reincarnation of this place! Lola's did a great job of taking care of us the other night. We sat at the outside bar so I can't talk about service at the tables, but on this night the bar was spot on! We arrived around 7:30. The bar was busy but we were able to grab a couple of seats. While it looks like a tiki bar- the food is anything but that. I had the short rib with risotto which was really outstanding, and my friend had the New York strip with mushroom sauce, broccoli and french fries which was also perfectly cooked and a nice piece of meat. Our drinks were also well poured by the friendly bartenders. You are literally sitting right on the Intracoastal which made for a nice view. And while I haven't been there during the day- I'm guessing the pool vibe that they have going on, makes Lola's fun then as well. If you're looking for a tiki Bar with great food and drinks, check out Lola's. She'll be waiting for you!

What a cute little spot. The decor outside is super inviting and photo worthy. We kept looking around like ooo, let's take a pic here lol. Service was great. Although it was near closing time, we didn't feel rushed at all. My dish was delicious. I went with the risotto and pork ribs; so flavorful. I had a couple drinks which were just as great as the food. I think one was a coco loco drink. I was concerned it would be too milky but it was a great balance. We went for dinner but I'm sure we'll be back one day for brunch.

What a great little bar/restaurant! First we spoke with Ivy from our boat and she was so nice and got the manager Jacob to come out to their docks and help us dock the boat for lunch. Our server Rylee was fantastic! She was super attentive and so sweet! We will be back to this gem!!

The first thing we noticed, which was a bit unexpected, was the decor. The ambiance was really nice and inviting. This is the type of restaurant where someone could host a party. The service was really good too. We received water almost immediately after being seated, and our server came by shortly after. The manager stopped by throughout our visit to provide recommendations, and he was really nice. It made the experience feel more personal. For our appetizer, we ordered the Baba Ghannouj, which complemented the pita bread really well. It was our first time having it, and we did not know what to expect, but it was great. It was really flavorful, and we finished it wanting more. For our entrees, we had the Lamb Chops and the Seafood Tagine. The lamb chops were great. It was not a huge portion, but the meat was flavorful and cooked well. The presentation was also really nice. The Seafood Tagine looked great, and the sauce was incredibly flavorful. Everything about the dish worked well together, and we felt that all the flavors complemented one another. There was a good harmony between the ingredients. For dessert, we ordered the Kunafa, which was another first for us. We had never had it before, but the description really sold us on it. It was really good. This is the kind of dessert that is best shared since it is a little heavy. Toward the end of our visit, a belly dancer came out to perform, and it was really exciting. La Vie is a great restaurant, and we will definitely return. We felt as though we got a true Mediterranean experience during our visit.

Desert Heat in Suburban Florida…read more Coral Springs is not exactly known for culinary danger. It's polite. It's manicured. It behaves. And then you walk into Falafel Gourmet and suddenly you're not in suburbia anymore -- you're in a little Middle Eastern oasis hiding in plain sight on State Road 7. First thing that hits you? That glass case of baklava. Not two sad trays. Not corner-store pastry vibes. A full shimmering lineup of honey-soaked, pistachio-loaded, syrup-dripping architecture. It's the kind of display that makes you whisper, "I'll pretend I'm taking it home for later." You're not. You're eating it in the car. Then the homemade lemonade. Not powdered. Not lazy. Fresh. One sip and you realize Florida doesn't deserve this level of refreshment. Now let's talk shawarma. Lamb. Chicken. We had both. And this is where things get serious. Juicy. Properly seasoned. Wrapped tight. No soggy collapse halfway through. No bland filler. Just meat that's been treated with respect and cooked like someone's grandmother might actually yell at them if they messed it up. If your shawarma needs sauce to survive, you've already failed. This one doesn't. The service? Warm. Real. No robotic upsell script. You feel like they actually want you there. We started with several appetizers including spinach pies, falafel, and the Hommous sampler. The falafel was crisp and packed with flavor! I can't recommend the toum (garlic dip) enough. For dinner we had their moussaka and shish combo. The lamb, chicken, and kabobs were perfectly cooked- so flavorful and juicy! For dessert we had their bread pudding and Dubai chocolate brownie that came recommended from our waitress. Definitely enough to share and very decadent. Lastly, I want to compliment the service. Our drinks were always full, food came out altogether, and they took the time to explain various dishes and how they differ from the typical Mediterranean dishes. I always order this salad in many different states and countries and I love it. This was the only time I couldn't eat it. It was just way too much green onion in it (really competing with parsley). Like tons and large crunchy pieces of green onion. I took the salad home hoping my husband would eat it but he said "This is green onion Tabbouleh, not parsley". So yeah, that's my only disappointment here. Maybe it was the only time they made it like that by accident.. or maybe that's their ratio recipe, I wasn't sure. The Lentil soup was delicious! The service, atmosphere, and quality of the food never disappoint. This review is based on two separate visits, and both were outstanding experiences. On our first visit, we stopped in on a Friday evening and were lucky enough to grab seats at the bar. We were immediately greeted by our bartender, Matthew, whose warm and friendly personality made us feel welcome right away. He took our drink and food order, offered excellent recommendations, and introduced us to their newly launched happy hour menu. My spouse and I were genuinely excited to see that they had finally added food options to happy hour. In the past, we often skipped coming during happy hour because there weren't any food offerings, so this was something we had been hoping for. For our second visit, we specifically returned to try the new happy hour menu. Thankfully, the bar wasn't too busy, and we were able to grab seats again. Although, after posting this review, I may regret letting everyone know about this hidden gem because the bar area is small and those seats are going to become even harder to get! This time, we were greeted by Stephen, who crafted some fantastic cocktails and walked us through his recommendations from the happy hour menu. We were also warmly welcomed by the manager, Peppa, whose genuine hospitality made our visit even more enjoyable. When we told her we came specifically to sample the new happy hour offerings, she shared some of her personal favorites, and every recommendation was spot on. We sampled several cocktails, including the Espresso Martini, Perfect Pear, Violeta, Guava Dream, Cucumber Twist, and Velvet Dynamite. While they were all excellent, our favorites were the Perfect Pear and the Velvet Dynamite. As for the food, the Greek Salad and Pita with Tzatziki are always must-orders for us. The Aegean Bites have also become one of our favorites. We tried both the Feta Saganaki and the Shrimp Saganaki--the feta was absolutely incredible, and the shrimp version was equally delicious for seafood lovers. The sliders were a generous portion, and my spouse thoroughly enjoyed them. My only minor criticism would be the chicken slider. The chicken had a loose, ground texture that wasn't my favorite. I think it would be even better with grilled chopped or diced chicken instead. It certainly wouldn't stop me from coming back, but it's the one item I'd probably skip next time. Needless to say, I absolutely love this restaurant, and I'm even more excited now that they offer what I think is one of the best happy hours around. A huge thank you to Matthew and Stephen for their outstanding service behind the bar, and a special shout-out to Peppa for making both of our visits so welcoming and memorable. We'll definitely be back!
