Came here today for lunch and overall had a good experience. My friends and I chose to sit outside by the water for the vibes and views since they had a dj playing some music and the weather was nice. It gets pretty hot outside so maybe if you're not in a bikini, choose to sit inside or under the covered patio area instead. They have pretty big umbrellas covering the tables but when the sun moves it can cause you to end up being stuck in the sun and being roasted. Since this restaurant is at a hotel they also have a pool but only hotel guests are allowed to use it. There's a nice large covered bar outside as well as high top tables in the shade as well. On the weekends they only offer the brunch menu during the day and then the dinner menu later on in the evening. The lunch menu is only available on weekdays during the day. They have valet parking as well as paid parking in a lot right across the street that's like $2/hr. The food and drinks were okay, nothing to rave about. I thought they were a little over priced for what it was but it wasn't bad. We got the guacamole to share and while the guac was a decent size, they give you about 3 chips for the dish so we had to order another serving of chips. For my meal I got the grilled chicken Cesar salad with a side of truffle fries. The salad was not my favorite. The chicken felt sparse for $9 and was a little dry/overcooked tasting and the salad barely had any dressing or cheese or anything on it. I also got the side of truffle fries which were really good! After a few bites I noticed a hair in my food which I made my server aware of and she immediately got the manager who offered to replace my meal and comp the dish which I thought was very nice. Lola's on the Water is such a cute new spot in Pompano. Perfect place to grab a bite with girlfriends or relax on their day beds and soak up the sun right on the water. The service was not the best at first, but I honestly think it was because they had only been open a few weeks and we were seated at the last table outside. Once the manager realized we had not been attended to, everything completely changed. He was excellent and made sure we were taken care of for the rest of the meal. The food was really good. We ordered the burger, salmon, eggs Benedict, and margaritas. Everything was great, but the burger and scalloped potatoes were definitely our favorites. So much flavor. Overall, such a cute brunch spot with friends, and the fact that they are dog friendly is a huge plus. Definitely worth checking out. read more

Really pretty setting for a sunset meal. The hotel lobby you walk through to get to the restaurant is cute and modern with a touch of whimsey. The restaurant area itself faces the inlet and is really nice to sit and watch the boats while you dine. The servers were also nice. The food was... meh. I don't think anyone was wowed with their meal. The fried calamari was soggy when it arrived. The branzino was ok, but needed more seasoning. The short rib was burned. The surf and turf was pretty bland as well; with the lobster tail overcooked. The burger was ok. All in all, it's a pretty setting, but the food is way overpriced for the quality you received. Also... the chairs were quite awful. Anyone with hips or is heavyset would have trouble dining here. We looked around and pretty much all the women were bulging out of the oddly designed chair arms. Not just the heavy people; normal curvy women. They should burn these to be honest. For this price point I'd probably go somewhere else unless the food improves. Maybe I'll try it for the lunch specials which are not as high, where a mediocre meal doesn't bother as much. read more

I'd read about this restaurant located on the Intracoastal in the Harbor Sands hotel. I'd bookmarked it. We'd been to this location previously when it was a few other restaurants. Lola's now has the inside as well as pool side dining, dockside, and at the bar. The restaurant soft opened in the fall, but has only "officially" been open a few months. There is free valet parking at the hotel for lunch -- which we did not see until we were leaving. There's also paid parking across the street in a lot. We sat at the bar and got to watch the water and the passing boats. My husband had a cheeseburger. It came with thin French fries. He said it was quite good with that charcoal grill flavor that he likes. I had their Louis salad. It had four huge shrimp, chopped egg, and ripe avocado slices over crisp ice berg lettuce. And the Louis salad dressing on top. Just so refreshing and delicious. Prices were not cheap -- is anything these days? But we felt that in a tourist area, on the water, at a hotel, what we had was quite well priced and worth it. A number of the bathing suit attired visitors seated by us at the bar were enjoying appealing margaritas. We got very good and personable service from Dylan, by the way. Open a few months now, Lola's on the Water is a popular spot! There is Valet Parking (free for lunch) or you can use the public lot across the street via Parking App (the machine is broken!). They offer inside seating with a patio opening on the pool as well as Waterside Bar seating. We sat at the bar to enjoy the Waterside view and ambiance. I ordered a Cheeseburger with fries. From the moment we walked into Lola's, I could tell we had a winner. This water front restaurant just opened in pompano beach and it truly has the potential to be the next hot spot. We were here for Sunday brunch. The drinks were strong and the food elevated. Kristen H, our adorable waitress was just a ray of sunshine. I opted for the unlimited mimosas with my food. Each time she returned to our table, the glass got bigger. I love wait staff who recognizes the vibes and joins in! We were lucky enough to be seated at a table with a 360 view of the river. At Lola's you're also able to rent jet skis. They even have pink car shaped boat things that you're able to rent and drive out to the water. This is definitely something I'm doing on my next visit. I love the reincarnation of this place! Lola's did a great job of taking care of us the other night. We sat at the outside bar so I can't talk about service at the tables, but on this night the bar was spot on! We arrived around 7:30. The bar was busy but we were able to grab a couple of seats. While it looks like a tiki bar- the food is anything but that. I had the short rib with risotto which was really outstanding, and my friend had the New York strip with mushroom sauce, broccoli and french fries which was also perfectly cooked and a nice piece of meat. Our drinks were also well poured by the friendly bartenders. You are literally sitting right on the Intracoastal which made for a nice view. And while I haven't been there during the day- I'm guessing the pool vibe that they have going on, makes Lola's fun then as well. What a cute little spot. The decor outside is super inviting and photo worthy. We kept looking around like ooo, let's take a pic here lol. Service was great. Although it was near closing time, we didn't feel rushed at all. My dish was delicious. I went with the risotto and pork ribs; so flavorful. I had a couple drinks which were just as great as the food. I think one was a coco loco drink. I was concerned it would be too milky but it was a great balance. We went for dinner but I'm sure we'll be back one day for brunch. read more

Lola's restaurants sits inside and on the backside of Lola's hotel on the intercoastal in Pompano Beach. What a beautifully decorated and laid out Resturaunt and so colorful, bright yellow everywhere. It was greeted by three lovely women one of them seated us right next to the window and we had a lovely view of the intercoastal end of the bridge going up and down. Ciara was our waitress, exceptional service. She does everything by memory and also had three or four other tables at the same time class act all around. Very knowledgeable from appetizers food, cocktails, and wine. Food is exceptional in flavors, freshness, and presentation. Very lovely evening and an extra bonus was being able to watch the sunset from our table it was spectacular. Great first impression with a really nice young lady at the host station and that friendliness applies to all staff at Lola's. We had a table with views of the marina which was made even better because the bartender made good drinks. Started off with a variety of appetizers and the Tuna Tartare was better than most places and even what is often regarded as superfluous garnish in the dish was excellent. The nicely plated Crab and Avocado appetizer was also good and this was devoured. It is not a huge menu and we went with waiter recommended main dishes and while they were okay they were not at the same level as the appetizers. The Short Rib was a smaller portion than I expected and it was a little too fatty but the accompanying risotto was nicely cooked and often the rice used in restaurant risotto is not correct but here it was and it also had the requisite crunch needed for good risotto. A Penne Pasta was basic but not bad, however the Burrata lacked creaminess and it's kind of difficult to mess up Burrata. A Chocolate Cake for dessert had an artificial taste and I doubt it was made in house. Even though there were a few items that weren't so great - I would say the food was a three but the service and environment up the score to four stars. Lola's was okay and with careful ordering it can be better than that. read more

I ordered the branzino with potatoes, and the potatoes were undercooked and had to be sent back. The beer was served warm, which was disappointing, and the octopus and carpaccio was just mediocre. Hopped off the boat for a quick bite at Lolas. So they have been closed for awhile and now reopened. From what i hear the grand reopening will be early January and hopefully with a better menu. Currently the menu had limited dishes i tried the chicken Ceasar since you cant go wrong with that but... it was not my favorite. Hubby had the Mahi fish sandwich which he said was good the highlight was the fries. Also had the Pinapple Smash and was missing my mint . I have been here a few times and normally enjoy my experience. I love the ambiance and they have a pool you can cool off in even when not staying at the hotel. I think that is such an amazing concept. They staff is very nice and really personable. I would like to see the full menu coming next year after the grand opening and hopefully some seasoning on the chicken. read more

Loved our dinner here! It was our first time and we were in the right hands with our waiter Justin. I got the Korean rib, which was fantastic, and I liked my husband's burger too. The French fries were amazing. The kids were happy with their pizza and a misunderstanding about toppings was corrected efficiently and graciously. I haven't been to Lola's in over 10 years because of the distance. This 4th of July we can by boat, and it was a night to remember. The ambiance with the deck and dock lighting was a festive feel... and weak lit. The service from one of the dock girls helping with the docking was ready and willing with docking and tying up the boat. We were lead to the main inside dining area overlooking to intercostal with an elongated table made to accommodate our party of 6 comfortably. They served pizza and calamari, which came out perfect. It was flavored well with pancetta and cheese and was delicious. The fried calamari was cooked to perfection and was delicious. The drinks from the bar were perfect... and added to our groups delight. Put a smile on your face and everyone in your parties by making reservations at Lola's for any occasion. read more

Thank you Lola's for ruining our Valentine's Day. I made the reservation for 4 people on January 21 and 5 days ago called to add two more people at the same time (3:30). At first they said they didn't have availability to accommodate us and then she changed her mind and said since it's at 3:30 they would be able to do so. So we were all set! I looked at the reviews and they mentioned poor service except for Renee. I read they are still in soft opening mode so we decided to give it a try since we rented a boat next door. At 2:35pm yesterday we got a call informing us that the menu is a Prix Fixe Valentine's menu at $95 per person. WTH??? They also informed me there would be no food service from 3-4. We had planned on coming in and having some drinks and appetizers and not a full meal. I was very upset and they transferred me to a manager who said I could get items a la carte but she only mentioned 3 things. We were not interested in coming here and now being Valentine's Day we were left in a lurch. I found the manager rude and told her she ruined our day. There was no mention of a Valentine's Day menu when booking on Open Table or when I called to increase our number. I told her to cancel our reservation as we were not going to pay $95 per person and reiterated how horrible this customer service was. She actually hung up on me!!!! ZERO STARS FOR US AND WE ALL WILL NEVER BE BACK. Shame on you Lola's on the Water. read more

The concept and the atmosphere is great but they need to get the drinks and food to rise to the occasion. The drinks came out late, the appetizer was a tartar without anything to put it on to eat as small bites. The branzino was bland and didn't have any kind of side for $39, the mahi was also bland. Well. I unfortunately have to take back what I had said earlier. I made a late reservation for dinner and I was thrilled that they were able to fit me in. We arrived and it wasn't ready yet (no big deal). We sat at the bar and ordered drinks. There were four of us. Two got whiskey while two got wine. Whiskey came out quickly and correctly. There were no wine glasses so our bartender advised us it would be a little before it arrived. A few minutes later, the wine arrived. The glass I received was dirty. I gave it back to our bartender and showed her the food remnants stuck to the inside of the glass. A few minutes later she went to the opposite side of the bar and loudly exclaimed that she had to wash glasses because some people need certain glasses. She was extremely rude and condescending. Really upset with the service at the bar and the rudeness of the bartender. I had high hopes for this place but, unfortunately, it seems like they don't cut it. In an area that is starting to really explode with places like the W and the ritz residences, a place with such service isn't going to make it. Once we moved to a table and had a waitress our service was better and the food was good, but i think the damage was done...probably won't be returning anytime soon. read more
