This place is a find! Great vibe, location is easy to get to when you're downtown, and the food and service is spectacular! Our waiter was Michael - he gave great recommendations, was really knowledgeable, fun and attentive. We had 3 different tequila drinks, all craft and so good. The guacamole is stellar. I was torn between entrees and drinks, and our server helped me figure out the Paloma (outstanding) and the fish tacos (also outstanding). Wowza, I am a Mexican food fanatic and have eaten way more than my share. This place is in my top 3 Mexican meals in have had in the states. Crazy good food. Waiter Michael E was simply not professional. He found it necessary to go talk to my date while I went to the restroom asking her personal questions. He literally addressed only her and handed her the restaurant's card when we left. He acted creepy and made her feel uncomfortable. Although it was quite entertaining I doubt we will go back if he is there. read more

Place was ok but not worth the money. Chips were good but the salsa was far too watery and completely flavorless. Steak fajitas were decent but nothing special and certainly not worth $27. My drink was ok but again not worth the price. The churros were excellent, however. Overall nothing tasted bad, but it certainly wasn't worth over $100 for two people. On top of that they have almost 5% in additional unlisted charges: an automatic gratuity for the kitchen and a credit card fee. I don't respect places that engage in such deceptive practices; as such I'm dropping my rating from three to two stars and I won't be going back. read more

My friend and I ate here over the weekend. For some reason google maps took us way past the restaurant (we were walking) and I called the receptionist to ask if she could help direct us. Mercedes went out of her way to actually meet us in the direction we were walking from, Printer's Alley, to get us to Lona which was around the corner. She stayed on the phone with us the whole time and directed us to the right spot! Talk about amazing customer service. Not a lot of people would have done that, and that is what goes above and beyond for customers! We ordered the lump crab meat guacamole and the elote, lobster quesadillas, and tortilla soup. As well as some fun watermelon and spicy margaritas. Had a great time but shout out to Mercedes for getting us to the right location! read more

I am 58 years old and my wife is 52. We went there tonight to have dinner and while waiting sat at bar. We are staying at hotel Noelle which Lona is located in. Bartender was a real asshole and ridiculous to ask a 52 year old woman for her ID. I showed them my ID and informed them that she was 52 and left hers in the room!! Power trip bartender refused to serve her so we left. I am all far enforcement of underage drinking but seriously this is ridiculous. The younger generation has zero manners!!!!! read more

Tried this restaurant because we love Mexican food. We are lifelong Southern California residents. Our meals were outstanding. We had margaritas, house salad, enchiladas and chips. Great new place in Nashville-- please, please consider visiting as it is clearly a work of passion with exceptional attention to detail. Never expected high-end Mexican cuisine in central Tennessee but here it is! Ambiance and service was impeccable-- Kayla was a delight. You'll never forget the huge mural on the wall -- I think it featured a mockingbird but Kayla will confirm the species with her grandfather. Vibe was so satisfying, music was chill, and the food... oh the food. Ceviche was so fresh it was like it had jumped onto our plates! Salmon was perfectly medium rare as the good lord intended. My wife loved her chicken tacos but doesn't describe her food very well so I'll leave it at that. Check it out and vote with your wallet -- Nashville is better for these kinds of places!! read more
