This location is on Anaheim street in Long Beach in a neighborhood that has been up and coming. It is one of their smallest locations. There is a tiny parking lot and limited street parking. There are no thrills and it is out of my way. But what i go there for, is their delicious grilled chicken. It is sort of a secret that i have been, in a selfish way, reluctant to share for a long time. They have a charcoal fired grilled chicken station setup in their parking lot and only on weekends (Friday, Saturday and Sunday) from about 9am to 6pm. If you happen to be driving by and didn't know about them. The smell alone would make you hungry and draw you in. They cook their chicken on coals. The rub that they use is so incredibly tasty. The whole chicken is only $15. It comes with a good amount of tortillas and a house made pico de gallo salsa. It is some of the best street food grilled chicken I've ever had. Ever since i discovered this hidden gem a few years ago, I've been going there just about every weekend to get my chicken fix. Great prices, friendly service. amazing grilled chicken. Honestly I didn't know what half this stuff was or how to cook it, but it was so fun discovering new foods. Walking in was like traveling to a little corner shop in Ghana or the Ivory Coast. Totally unpretentious and "authentic" in its simple stark white shelves stocked with packets of powders, cans, and seeds. Both the owner (a woman) and the store employee (a man) are very helpful explaining how you can use something. If you're an adventurous home chef and you want to cook something different, give this little hidden gem a try. Our fufu turned out great! And for those of you for whom this is your family's cuisine of origin, I can tell you that I took a friend there who's from West Africa. For what it's worth, she was crying tears of joy over the dried fish and frozen cassava leaves, so I take that as a big YES. (Sorry, though, no East African foods... The man being asked kept asking "A quien?" numerous times, and the kinder man would reply, "La senora," pointing to me. He finally came out, looked at me, and said "No, cerrado." What was the point in asking "Who" if you were not going to let me in before actual closing time anyway, unless I was one of your people. Big let down and very disheartening as I am only a few houses down and frequent this little market often. I'm sure my voice means nothing to most and to whoever is the owner, but I thought I'd put my review in anyway. Very sad about this.

I will say that the meat pricing is much lower than the typical American markets and even lower than some other Asian markets I've been to (such as H Mart or Ranch Market). Plenty of fresh and packaged noodles, along with a variety of fresh produce.
