The entrance is inconspicuous; it is located on Level 2 of the market. It's like a speakeasy. A local friend took me here. There was a nice selection of cocktails and mocktails. I got the Tiki-Bucha (pineapple kombucha, muddled mint, lime juice, orgeat, and almond milk) and it was yummy. I did not have any of the food, but their bar bites looked good. New favorite restaurant in Seattle for me goes to Lonely Siren. So unexpected! Normally I am hesitant for restaurants in tourist areas but this one hits even though in the busy market. Amazing bartenders and delicious Portuguese food. First and foremost, the beautiful Batatas Bravas people! They subbed standard potatoes with a potato pave those thin layers of delicate potato swimming in bravas and soubise sauce! The octopus salad was lovely as was the clams in vinho verde and fresh dill. Their espresso martini has brandy, licor43 and nutmeg! And the ginja liqueur was a perfect finisher! Went here last night for a date night and we absolutely adored this place! The staff here was super sweet and helpful. We got four plates and it was very filling. The service was really good, despite how busy they were. They gave some great recommendations and were friendly without compromising efficiency. The drinks are fairly varied, but definitely more gin options given the Portuguese influence. The food was fine as well, but it's a unique take on the patatas bravas, with it being more a quiche or potato cake slice bravas. The ambiance was really cool both inside and in the greenhouse patio. Cute Portuguese inspired restaurant in Pike Place. Came on a Thursday night for date night. Servers/bartenders were all friendly and attentive. We ordered a good selection of small plates to share. Batatas bravas was my favorite! I loved both the sauce that came with it. I also enjoyed the steak skewers with kale chimichurri. We ordered papo seco and I ended up dipping the bread into the kale chimichurri sauce from the steak strewers. The grilled sardines and Spanish octopus both came with Molho cru. The molhu cru was so flavorful and tangy but the grilled sardines and punch potatoes from the octopus dish were too salty for me. I think I drank at least 4 cups of water throughout my meal. We ended our meal with Ana's Pastel de Nata and cinnamon ice cream. The sweetness helped balanced out it the saltiness from the meal. Overall, this place is a 3.5/5 for me. Such a beautiful hidden find within Pike Place, I would gatekeep if I could! Great happy hour deals from 3-5 with the best selection of unique drinks, friendliest staff, and Portuguese dishes. In a space previously occupied by Shama, the Lonely Siren is a Portuguese inspired bar/restaurant hidden below at Pike Place Market. Stopped by for a light bite and some drinks, and really enjoyed my first visit. Started off with Vascos Barril - barrel aged rye, ruby port reduction, Cynar. I loved this Manhattan-styled drink, and the whole bar set up is lovely. I also tried batatas bravas - crispy potatoes, bravas sauce, smoked onion soubise, which had a great presentation and flavors. Excellent cocktails and great offering of Portuguese wines, at decent prices to boot! The good: -batata brava was awesome. Lovely presentation and unctuous sauces. The prep of something like this takes a while and there's a lot more bites than meet the eye. - the bifana was downright delicious, simple yet exactly what I was looking for. It's a classic Portuguese food that doesn't need sussing up. - in house baked bread, the sandwiches just wouldn't be the same without it. - mushrooms were meaty and had a wonderful texture. - pasteis de bacalhau was simple but tasted just like something you'd get in Portugal. The bad: - the clams were a let down. They add wine to them but don't let the wine cook down first before adding the clams so you get a boozy, unappetizing broth. Wish they would just do it like in Portugal - a ton of garlic, cilantro and using the juices of the clams to be the broth. Oh well, can't win em all. Will be back to try the prego! read more

We talked to a bunch of downtown locals and they had never heard of it even though it is just below the Market. From the main level, you can take a semi secret elevator that almost drops you off in the restaurant. Kinda sketch but also kinda fun. It was pretty empty when we were there but the food was really well prepared and tasty. Drinks are great, too, making it perfect for some socializing with some apps if that's what you're looking for. My phone died so wasn't able to take pics but I will next time. read more

When we entered the restaurant, the staff did not acknowledge our presence. The restaurant had less than 10 people so it was empty. After a while, we asked if we should just sit anywhere. Then they just told us to wait then we asked again and they said yes (barely). 15 minutes into sitting and looking at the menu from our phone (because they did not give us a menu), we walked away. My friend and I had a funny time finding this place b/c we started where the actual address leads you. We should have actually followed the directions on their website, or at least go from inside the market; take the elevator inside the market. So when we found it we felt a great sense that we found something special, or like a secret. It was a good place to have a private conversation. We ordered mushrooms, brussels sprouts, a steak dish with the chimichurri sauce and the patatas bravas which were probably the best thing as others have said.
