It had been over four years since we'd eaten here, and we wondered if they were as still as good as we remembered. Arriving on a Wednesday afternoon we were quickly seated in the covered outdoor patio by a friendly and helpful employee. She took our drink orders and within a few minutes returned with them, and took our orders. I ordered their "Mahi Mango Salsa Bowl" ($15.69). This consists of Mahi (I chose it blackened) served on a bed of black beans and jasmine rice, drizzled with Costa Rican Lizano Sauce and topped with Mango Salsa. It's served with sweet plantains. The combination of the hot, blackened Mahi and the sweet Mango Salsa really hits on all cylinders! It was as good as I remembered it, excellent! The plantains were cooked just right and were delicious. I added a side of "LD's Homemade Slaw" - for $.11! Yes, eleven cents. It's their way of honoring local legend Kelly Slater's 11 World Surfing Championships (one order per entree). It was very good. Finally I chose their "Hatteras Red" to drink ($2.50 during Happy Hour). It was cold and refreshing. With surfboards, mounted ocean fish, and tiki heads as decorations, it's a very laid back and comfortable atmosphere. This location is only about a couple of blocks from the ocean so it's a great spot to eat a late lunch after a day at the beach. Good lil beach restaurant/pub... Stopped into LDs before heading out on a cruise. Fun place with good service, good food, and laid back Florida vibes. They have a nice outdoor covered patio area and air conditioned inside pub with good local draft beer selections. We'll def stop back in again. read more

This spot is close to hotels and the beach. We walked over from the Four Seasons to have dinner . I ordered a house margarita and it was delicious the perfect amount of liquor and sweetness. We also shared lemon pepper, wings, and hot wings with fries. I asked them to buy the wings a little extra crispy and they did the surfers were friendly as well. Glad we were able to try the spot before our cruise. read more

My husband said the hot dogs were amazing! I had a key lime salad and it was only ok. The flavors were a little odd. I'd try something else next time. They do have a pretty extensive menu. Oh and the sweet tea is insanely sweet. I love sweet things but honestly it was too sweet. read more

Took a random chance on this place as I had a hankering for a hot dog. This place did not disappoint. Although not a 5 star fine dining experience, this place earned 5 in their category from food to service to cleanliness. Was greeted warmly and sat at the bar. The young lady behind the bar greeted me and asked me for my drink order. I asked her to pick my beer and subsequently my hot dog. She picked me a hazy IPA and the High Life dog. The pairing was superb and the food amazing. Fresh and hot. The place is clean and has both and indoor and outdoor dining area. Parking was plentiful even though fairly busy. My bartender offered up a Key lime pie that was smooth, sweet and tart. Such a fantastic time here. I will be back. read more

We went here twice during our stay in Cocoa Beach. The first day for lunch, the second time for dinner. Lunch service was great - quick and easy, good value, and the food was good. We had the Elote Long Dog and the MORK. They're good for hotdogs and a good value. Dinner was good, but the wait was confusing. They had several open tables and would sit a single person at a 6-seater table, then cram four people into what was technically probably a 4-seater. Left numerous booths open for 15+ minutes that had cleared. Once seated, the customer service was great and the food was pretty good. Grouper sandwich tasted terrific but fell apart pretty quickly. Kettle chips were good and crispy, fries tasted good but were soggy/flimsy. The margaritas were great. Overall I'd recommend this place for a good value and great atmosphere, and our waitress was top notch read more

This is a cool local place with great service and incredibly good food. The house beer is definitely worth a try and their house sauce is perfection. I had the fish and chips with clam strips and my wife had some grilled fish with mango salsa and a grilled banana. Highly recommend a visit, they don't miss on the seafood! read more

We stopped by Long Doggers for lunch while we were visiting Cocoa beach. Pulling into the parking lot, we were greeted with an inviting tropical facade with games such as cornhole to help wait for a table which came by not to long. Long Doggers' menu is quite stout, with a sprinkle of some southern cuisine. Lest we forget the extensive selection of their hotdog sandwiches, but I elected to try out their fish and chips. Wifey chose some shrimp n' grits, and the kids as burgers and clam chowder. We had some onion rings as appetizers and they were cooked very well. Having a minimalist approach to the batter help the onion's flavor shine. The clam chowder was yummy as well, creamy and had ample amount of clams. My fish and chips were properly cooked and was delicious. Wife's shrimp n' grits were quite a revelation as well. OK, I was so hungry and the food was so good that I forgot to take photos of every single thing. Sue me. The pretzel bites were fantastic as was all of our meals. Great variety to select from. You can go off the rails, full vacay mode and stuff yourself until the crew from My 600lb Life offers you your own episode, or you can go the healthy route. One of the very few places where there a legit option. In fact, the healthy meal I had actually tasted good (chicken, rice, and broccoli). All of the staff was above and beyond polite and friendly. Do not go if you want friendly service!!! Asking simple questions proved too much for customer service. If you have allergies, forget about it. 2 questions in and our server was shaking her head and throwing up her hands in exasperation. ALLERGIES! I mean come on! We had high hopes for this place but left before even ordering, it was unbearably uncomfortable. If you have allergies stay far away from this location, as the server had no sensitivity towards those with food allergies. read more

What a fun place to eat! The hostess was so accommodating as we had close to 10 people on a rainy afternoon. She was able to push a couple of tables together and get a seated outside away from the rain. The waitress was funny and very sweet. A fun, beachy, laid back vibe of a place! All the kids got hotdogs and said they were the best hotdogs I've ever had. The adults ordered dishes and got peel and eat shrimp for an appetizer. Excellent fresh shrimp and I highly recommend. My pulled pork had such a great flavor. One of the other adults in the party got a salad and said it was very good. A few of us got cocktails in a bucket and enjoyed them very much. I legit love this place! From great hot dogs, incredible burgers to the best sweet tea in Florida, Long Doggers has never disappointed me. The service is excellent, friendly, upbeat and the outside dining area feels beach and has all the right vibes. My favorite is the chili and slaw dog and I order the onion rings - which are the best onion rings I've ever had in my life! Can't say enough good things about them read more

I'm so glad we decided to stop in to Long Doggers for lunch during our afternoon in Cocoa Beach. As a dog lover, the name and logo had me right away! It has a quaint little seaside 'shack' feeling with both great indoor and outdoor space to dine. The staff was super friendly, attentive, and offered recommendations which I love. They have lots of regional craft beer options as well as specialty frozen cocktails. We tried the Johnny O Dog which comes with slaw and chili and honestly, hats off to the chef because this was some of the best slaw I've ever had. We also had the grilled mahi sandwich seasoned with key lime pepper and I highly recommend ordering it this way. The key lime pepper really brought out the flavor of the mahi. It was incredible! Their fries were perfectly crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside and for the pièce de résistance, the clam chowder was *chefs kiss*. Highly, highly, recommend Long Doggers if you're in Cocoa Beach and looking for a laid back lunch with great service. I even left with a coffee mug with their logo on it and I've been drinking my coffee out of it on the regular because I love it so much! read more

This place isn't that great. We got the ribs special and they were dry as a bone. We sent it back and they brought out a new plate of ribs that were also still dry. Grouper was frozen and had no flavor. The shrimp bites and fish dip appetizer was good though. read more

Loved our dinner at Long Doggers! It's a super family friendly setup. The waitstaff takes your order right on their mini tablets so everything comes out super fast. When you have a four year old with a short attention span this is key. We started off with the smoked fish dish and I got the chowder. Both were tasty! The spicy relish was a surprise hit for me with the fist dip. Loved it. Since we were at Long Doggers I had to give one of their signature hot dogs a try. I went with the chili dog and it did not disappoint. It's as huge and I could only finish half of it. We also took some key lime pie home, it was the perfect combination of creamy and tart. Our waitress was wonderful (I wish I got her name). I look forward to visiting again when I'm on vacation! read more

I've seen and heard many good things about here, so I stopped by for dinner. We were able to see the rocket launch from outside, well at least the end of it which was cool. We were sat immediately, and chose to sit outside. We ordered the Mahi bowl, bhanzi shrimp, mahi sandwich, and chicken tacos. Everything came out without taking too long, and we tasted amazing! We got the mahi blackened, and it fit perfectly with the rice and beans. Unfortunately, no one ordered a hot dog here, but I heard many good things about them. Next time I'm here, I plan on ordering one. read more

We offer outdoor seating on our large patio to enjoy the Florida weather with a nice ocean breeze. We also have a nice area for inside seating in our surf shop atmosphere dining area with plenty of booths and tables for large parties. We offer homemade soups and desserts. Appetizers range from our famous chicken wings, to cracked seared peppercorn tuna, as well as fish dip. Healthy choices on salads, fish tacos, and bowls. Families and kids are our main focus. A key to our success is the prices on our menu where we offer great food fast not fast food and a price that is right for families. Kid meals are geared for them to enjoy with a ice pop included at the end of their meal where we invite them to come to our ice cream freezer and pick out their favorite color ice pop to enjoy!

History

Established in 1997.

The first location was established in Indialantic, Florida with a vision shared by our current and still active President and Vice President. The second location was opened in Melbourne followed by Satellite Beach, Palm Bay, Viera, and Cocoa Beach being the newest location to open in March of 2015. The company still to this day holds onto the values of not only putting the guest as the top priority but also the employee. It is apparent to see this on a daily basis at any one of our locations!

Not only am I the General Manager but also have a shared investment in the Cocoa Beach location. I have been with the company going on 11 years and cannot be happier in the workplace. I truly enjoy coming to week day in and day out!

The biscuit bread was absolutely amazing, rich, soft, and delicious (maybe a little too generous with the butter on top, but still delicious). It's a thick, hearty piece, about two inches high and roughly four inches square. The mac and cheese was a generous portion and easily enough to share, and it was really good. The homemade BBQ sauce was also a highlight. The only slight miss was my husband's Coke, which wasn't very sweet, possibly a calibration issue with the machine. Overall, this is definitely a spot worth trying if you're in Cocoa Beach and want something different. There's a lot on the menu, and we'll definitely be back.

Normally, I'm not one to leave reviews on Yelp - good, bad, or otherwise. However, in the case of Long Doggers, I feel especially compelled to do so. Being from landlocked Kentucky, when I get time to venture to the coasts I want good local food that I can't get back home, and long doggers hit that mark exceptionally well. If you're looking for local food, this is the spot, bar none. Jenna took care of us, and I'd personally recommend that every one in search of a uniquely good person to interact with, request her. She reflexively knew the menu and guided our selections, navigated serving during a global pandemic with poise, clear experience, and unmatched attention that you rarely find elsewhere. (Not a jab at the service industry but you know, it is what it is). She really went above and beyond to recommend local places to visit, and to help us experience the in town in a light that, I felt, was more of a local feel than the typical annoying touristy experience. Highly recommend Long Doggers, and if you're lucky enough to stumble across Jenna, tip her well - she certainly deserves it. Thanks, y'all! read more

This was our first visit to Long Doggers. Staff was appropriately masked and friendly greeting, showed to us to an outdoor table (covered deck area) with plenty of social distancing and table spacing. Food was excellent, brought quickly to the table, hot and lots of flavoring. The tico pico pollo was great and reminded me of my Costa Rica "pura vida" years. Corn crab chowder was good, with a bit of a kick. An extra supply of crackers was supplied upon request, and was needed. Katie did a great job taking our order, keeping the water glass filled and removing empty plates promptly, all with a masked-smile revealed by her eyes . We would definitely eat here again. My friends have recommended Long Doggers multiple times now, so I finally gave in. At first I wasn't sure how sanitized it would be amongst the current pandemic. That was until Luisa our server that night explained how sanitized and the steps taken to keep Long Doggers a safe, and friendly restaurant! We tried Long Doggers on the recommendation of a friend. Everything about it was great. Friendly staff and super clean dining areas. The Banzai Shrimp appetizer was incredible, as was the soup special - Conch Chowder. The 11 cent coleslaw (named To honor local Kelly Slater's 11 world championships) was worth 10 times that, at least. :-) The Riptide Mojo Pork was tender and had great flavor. The black beans and rice, and a side of sweet plantains were a great compliment to the pork. The best part of the experience was the amazing and attentive service provided by Jenna. I have about 3 long doggers locations that are all closer to me than the Cocoa Beach location but one particular employee of yours, Heather, is the reason I travel to Cocoa Beach! She is always pleasant and consistently goes above and beyond to take care of her customers. Jenna specifically was super awesome to have as a server, she was super attentive, very friendly and basically all around a rock star. Really live up to "Relaxed Dinning" It had such a lay back and relax vibe from the moment we walked to the hostess. The manager was there and helped get our baby a high chair...In fact I think he cleaned off our table himself, he didn't have to ask anyone around. Every other waitress and staff were just as helpful making sure customers were taken care of without a fuss. Food was delicious, patio was pleasant. My wife and I came to cocoa beach on our honeymoon and decided to try this place out for lunch. Service was excellent, our waitress Kayla was very quick with getting us our food and drinks and making sure we were topped off with refills consistently. The food itself was also very good. One of the best restaurants in the county. The meals are always consistent. Our visit last week was no exception. The clam strips and fries were cooked to perfection. Wow, what a wonderful place! We ate here our first night in town, showed up late and close to closing but our waitress Leah said we had plenty of time. She recommended some of the favorites and we enjoyed every bite of the beach bum meal with pork and the fish & chips! The waffle fries were crispy and perfect. The teriyaki veggies were my favorite. When it finally did show up, it was... fine. It's bar food, and it tasted like bar food. Unfortunately, the extra 45 minutes in development didn't evolve it into a Michelin-starred masterpiece. Nobody at our table hated their meal, but nobody was writing poetry about it either. Now for the part nobody comes to Yelp to read... the bathrooms. Friends... these bathrooms achieved what I can only describe as the Three F's: Floods. Floaters. And Fecal matter. It looked less like a restroom and more like the aftermath of a natural disaster that FEMA had quietly decided to abandon. Maybe I'm weird, but I've always believed the restroom is the restaurant's backstage pass. If that's what customers see, I start wondering what the kitchen looks like when nobody's watching. Would I come back? Maybe... if I had just climbed off a floating tiki bar, the sun was setting, and my expectations were somewhere around sea level. Otherwise... I'd probably keep driving.

Located in a strip mall it's got a bayou kind of flair inside and while in a strip mall, it's close enough to hit up Ron Jon's and some other attractions so you can walk off your meal! We had some frog legs, fried mushrooms, fish, and crab legs. The frog legs were sautéed and really light tasting and the garlic butter was delicious to dip the mushrooms in. Speaking of mushrooms, they come with that gooood ranch! You know the kind, thick as pancake batter; that goooodddddd ranch! Mom enjoyed her fish and crab legs did taste fresh. Sweet enough to eat without dipping in butter. We waited a bit for food and drink refills but our server was pleasant and no huge issues. The inside is a bit cramped but even on a Friday night, you didn't feel like you were bumping elbows. If you want solid seafood, check out the Old Fish House. If you want waterfront, look elsewhere but you won't go home hungry eating here!
