Food: it was alright. Even the sauce is just the same as other places. The fries fish was good though, the batter for fish was not thick at all. I would like it more if they sauce have more seasoning, instead too much butter. I love corn the most but their corn wasn't great and because too much butter i cant even get the seasoning. Was in the mood for something new and on a whim decided to try Long Time No Sea. Any restaurant brave enough to have their name be a pun is worth at least one visit! I'm so glad we did try it out. It may not look like much from the outside, but the inside is huge! And clean - it was spotless, and unlike many seafood oriented restaurants there was no smell - at all! The staff were prompt and courteous. The menu is a bit different but they were more than patient in explaining the options for the various platters. I picked scallops and calamari for my two entrees - I like using scallops to judge a seafood place since they are very easy to over cook - same with calamari. I needed not have feared - when the food came out it was steaming hot and delicious! I ordered mine the first level of spicy and it had a nice zing to it. If you don't like spicy food, definitely order it without spice. You'd really have to like spicy food to get their highest level of zing - I found their hot levels more in line with what I would find in the Southwest and not the East coast - it was a pleasant surprise. They give you more than enough sauce to sop up with the steamed potatoes that are also included in the main platters - did I mention everything was delicious and seasoned perfectly? If I had one complaint - they bring everything out in the bag it's steamed in and you get to cut the bag open and empty into the plate - at first I wasn't sure if I liked it, but by serving everything in the bag it's guaranteed to be hot and fresh. So I actually prefer that. They are very prompt in removing the bags as soon as you are done with them. We will definitely be going back. If you are looking for good seafood at reasonable prices I highly recommend giving them a try! read more

This place was terrific! My wife and I were served by an amazing waiter who attended to our every need. Food was incredible. Absolutely delicious and the prices were reasonable. I had the crab leg and shrimp combo and my wife had the shrimp and crawfish combo. The steamed bag was brought to us and our feast began. Included were round potatoes and corn on the cob. I wanted to give more stars to this review but based on the experience we had, I feel like I cannot. My husband and I went for a nice dinner. Greeted right away and sat at a table properly social distanced from other patrons. Drinks ordered dinner ordered and then waiting waiting more waiting..... an hour before any food arrived. Observed restaurant operations while we waited -only 1 server, and 1 hostess front of house operations. Server had 9 tables of guests and also running the bar. Hostess was greeting and also running food from kitchen. No manager, no bartender no other servers. Not a good experience. Food was hot and my husband enjoyed his king crab legs, I got the butter garlic sauce seasoning and it really didn't have great flavor. Might try again, not sure yet. This was a truly needed restaurant in this area. There is an interesting excellent selection of Cajun food, including crawfish and frog legs, both of which I tried and were superb. Nearly forgot to write my review so I'm a little late so this is from last week...But I'm really glad we tried this place and that there were some reviews to go off of. We ordered delivery and it came quickly and with zero errors/order discrepancies. Like others, I tend to go to chains like Chasin' Tails or out to Blue Ridge for my seafood fix but this place was a home run on our first try. For starters, the price point is still competitive but slightly less than those chains, and you can customize your combo which is nice. The crab/shrimp tasted awesome and as you'd expect it to, and while I did not try to frog legs (mom loved them though) they were nice and big. I was a little worried about the Cajun fries, since there's no description I wasn't sure if that meant "spicy" or not, but happy to report it's more of a traditional "fry seasoning" than anything spicy, and I enjoyed them a lot. The hush puppies were also standard and delicious. They sent bibs, gloves, wipes and ample extra sauces for us and I LOVED the little hand sanitizer with the logo on it! Such a great advertisement for these times and obviously, also useful to have! I will definitely order here again and have found a new, nearby seafood place as a go-to. read more

Hmm, unfortunately, I have to give an updated review. This place was amazing when I first tried it, but it seems now to be a hit or miss. We stopped in and ordered two alcoholic drinks ( they were not good at all, had to send one back) I'm not sure they even knew how to make a margarita. We ordered the bags and both got Dungeness with snow crabs, shrimp and sausage. My dungeness cluster was rotten, it tasted of ammonia, and was obviously a bad crab. I tried to explain the taste to them and while they didn't really seem to understand, they did replace with it with another snow crab cluster. Still disappointing to be given a bad crab that I had a few bits of, and made my stomach hurt once we left the restaurant. Needless to say, it'll be a minute before I return, but I'm hoping the experience will be better and I'll be served fresh seafood . read more

I was planning to go to Chasing Tails but I decided to try out this place. The crawfish is frozen and after it is cooked, the shells will stick fairly hard. I had 2lbs of crawfish and 1 lb of crabs and I thought it was ok experience. I don't like the slow service and no refills on bev. I had the ice tea and the server never came by for refill. We actually wanted to eat at a different seafood location in Manassas, but their hours must have changed due to COVID, so we were highly disappointed at first. That is until we searched online and came across Long Time No Sea. After reading reviews we decided to give them a try. I don't know what it is, but I love the decor. The restaurant was incredibly clean with a casual atmosphere. The dining area is spacious and there is a bar, too. We came here on a Tuesday, a little after 11:30a, and there was absolutely no one dining in. A few came to pick up orders, but that was it. We had the entire area to ourselves! :) For lunch, I got onion rings and a pound of shrimp (no heads) with the Juicy Special sauce, hot spice level. My meal also came with a small cob of corn and two little potatoes. Thoroughly enjoyed my dish! The seafood came out hot and it was cooked to perfection with a flavorful balance between the sauce and heat. The portion of onion rings received was very generous! They too were cooked perfectly, weren't greasy at all, and the coating was crisp and the onions juicy. There was only one lady, but she was very hospitable and greeted us immediately as we walked in, checked on us periodically, even stopping to chat with us a bit regarding the opening and how COVID had affected their business. And I have to point out that when she took our orders, she didn't write anything down, but got everything right. I'd never be able to do that! :p This place exceeded my expectations and will definitely find the time to make a trip to PWC just to eat here again. read more

The first thing I noticed about this place is that even though the larking lot was full....this place was pretty empty. Next was the menu. The ONLY fish they sell in there are Tilopia and catfish...(the cheapest and most undesirable). And that spoke volumes to me about their business model/approach. We have a couple of places we usually go to for seafood but both of them are opened just for dinner, so we were looking for a new place and luckily we found Long Time No Sea, boy we were pleased. The crab cakes in the appetizer menu along with the hush puppies are one of the best we tried. The combo of snow crab legs, scallions with potatoes and corn on the cob are so flavorful and a nice serving. If you decide to try it, we recommend the cajun fried rice, you won't be sorry, it is delicious. We also had the catfish, french fries and cajun french fries.
