The medium wings were so tasteless and had very little sauce on them, I could have fed them to my 18 month old granddaughter without worrying that they were too hot. Our food was passable but nothing special, and unfortunately the service was not good at all. The staff members seemed incredibly busy and stretched too thin, maybe it's normally better than what we experienced. After receiving our food no one checked in with us again and we had to leave our table to ask for things we needed (like a refill and napkins, since there were none on our table and we were eating wings). We were also seated in the middle of the room at a table for two, right next to another table for two. It was ok, but a little uncomfortable hearing every word of another couples conversation. My Boneless wings were awful. Crunchy, cold with sauce poured over them. Blue cheese dressing was just water. I ate two and gave up. Visited Lakeside last week and decided to try this place as we were intrigued by the name. Still wondering how the name of the place came about. What I'm not wondering about is if the food at Long Wongs is good. It was awesome! Best food we had the entire week. Ordered takeout and the wait time was good, the staff at pickup was friendly, professional and very helpful. We ordered The fish dinner, the shrimp dinner and the ribs. The fish and shrimp were cooked perfectly and very tasty. They came with homemade shoestring fries that were greasy and delicious, just as homemade fries should be. My family has eaten a lot of ribs over the years and I can honestly say that these were by far the best ribs we've eaten from a restaurant, ever. They were tasty,meaty, tender,juicy and sauced perfectly. As a takeout order, I was impressed that every condiment that you could need was included in the order. The order was packed with care. Next time we are in Lakeside we will definitely be going back to Long Wongs. read more

We stopped only for a night for a quick trip on the white mountains. This place has everything, we stayed in their cabin, very clean and decent size, we ate a pizza and enjoyed their outside seating, finishing with a couple of drinks. Temperature were 30-40 degree cooler than Phoenix. read more

My husband and I were invited out to dinner with friends, we had never been before so it was our first time. The food was good but the service left a bad taste. Starting with our drink order, some of us wanted extra lemon for water, I requested No Lemon, my husband asked to Not have a lime on his beer, I asked for two lime wedges for my Titos on the rocks, the drinks came every glass of water had lemon on it, including mine, in fact it was the only time I got a lemon all night, and only one lime wedge on my Titos, thank goodness there was a lime on my husband's beer! After sorting out our lemons and limes we put our orders in my girlfriend and I ordered the grilled AYCE fish with veggies I asked for extra lemon for my fish, her husband had the AYCE fried fish, my husband had a hamburger. When the food came my friends both had lemon on their plate, my plate was devoid of any lemon. Server came back asked 'is everything okay?' Again I asked her for extra lemons, she said 'okay'. 10 minutes later she comes back and asks if 'are you ready for more fish?' We said yes, and again I asked for extra lemons. Here comes our fish, and again both of my friends have lemon for their fish and I had none, so at that point, I get it, she is never going to bring me lemons with my fish, much less extra lemons. I put in a third order of fish and while waiting two things happened, my friend's husband went and paid his bill, and another guy came by to take plates away, he went to take my plate and I said 'just leave it, I have more fish coming.' He rudely told me 'you know the fish comes in a basket?' I retorted 'I don't want to eat grilled fish out of a basket.' Meanwhile I run out of water and no one offer to refill it. As a server myself, this is just basic server etiquette.I finished my fish, said goodbye to our friends, went to the bar to pay our tab. While waiting our server demanded from everyone working the bar if our friends had paid their tab, and started huffing and puffing about how our friends hadn't paid their bill. I suggested that they paid at the other register, she basically called me a liar and continued to berate my husband and I about my friends stealing from them. There is no way in hell my friends didn't pay their bill, they are both upstanding citizens, small business owners, and regular customers of her establishment. And for her to speak to me and my husband about a fake theft, that NEVER HAPPENED, was unacceptable! I WILL NEVER GO BACK! Not quite sure where to start. I decided to check out the place since it came highly recommended by a coworker. We couldn't find where the door was to the restaurant, once we found the door we walked through the kitchen area and discovered a colorful array of picnic tables and an underwater wonderland. Someone must have been feeling a little happy painting the place up. The waiter came off very flirtatious and very willing to describe the menu to us in great detail. After some deliberation we came to an executive decision. The chicken sandwich and the club sandwich. Two hungry gals just wanting some good food! After 30 minutes of no other customers and just small talk about the filthy tables our food finally arrived. The chicken sandwich was half frozen and half plastic and the club was charcoal! We dined there for the first time and since it was a Friday at 5:00 we expected it to be busy. We decided to eat in the bar area and was waited on by Stevie. After 15 minutes she took our drink order as we had already grabbed menus from the bar. 10 minutes later our drinks arrived and she then took our food order. About an hour later we saw her take what appeared to be our food order outside. Then after another 1/2 hour we flagged down a bartender to ask about our food. Stevie came to our table 10 minutes later and apologized and said she took our order to someone else who accepted it as their order so basically blamed them too. During this time period she never followed up with US after she delivered our food to someone else. She then went and consulted with the kitchen who said they could cook our order in 7 minutes. 15 minutes later she brought our food which was typical bar food, good but not great. Next we had to hunt her down to get our tab and then she DOUBLE charged us for our food. I then told her that we will not be returning as the service was horrible. She became defensive stating that she already apologized, she is human and makes mistakes but it was our choice to not return. There was no offer to adjust the tab or have a manager come apologize, she just had a poor attitude. So the moral of this story is, this place lost potentially good customers, from not only anyone reading this but our friends as well. TLDR: Good food, bad service, no regard for personal property (story attached), shady staff Food was good, service was on par with other reviewers accounts as being lackluster, busy, and took a long time to receive food. All in all, the experience was ok and I very well may have come back, or so I thought, until my experience with the staff and how they handled things came about.. I left my sentimental priceless baseball cap behind in the restaurant at about 8 p.m. Friday, the night we ate, 2 hours before closing, and I realized it was too late to call and ask. I called the next day ( Saturday) at opening, was told to call back in an hour for what I'm assuming is for them to look. Gave them some time and called a few hours later to learn they had it. My girlfriend and I returned and she went in to grab it for me learning that it was the wrong hat. The staff gave her the run around and said they had "misplaced" my hat and the "girl who was working put it somewhere". Needless to say they pretty much shooed her away and had her leave my number. Upon learning this, I went in to the restaurant myself and received much of the same treatment by some, but not all of the staff, they seemed annoyed, and bothered by my inquisition and I was told the that they would get ahold of the server who "found it". I said I would return the next day (Sunday), and did at opening to see if they had found it because I was going back home back to Tucson. When I entered the restaurant, they seemed to know who I was and handed me the hat immediately. I was overjoyed at receiving my hat that my brother had given to me while in the military. As I walked out and got to my truck, I went to put the hat on when I felt the cold, damp, lining of the hat like it was just taken off. Upon further inspection, the hat appeared to have sweat from wear, snags on the material, and grease covering the bill of the hat where someone adjusted it. Now, to me, it appears that this hat has been worn, adjusted, and sweat in by someone other than I. I've attached pictures for reference and can assure that the hat was not in this condition when I left it. This coupled with the runaround given by staff assured to me that the staff knew where my hat was all along, and may have even lied to me about it. It was a great disrespect to something priceless of mine and though it may not seem that big of a deal, is no way to run a business. I am not one to make rash accusations or be hasty in judgement but I feel this is pretty clear cut. Staff found, wore and took as own, realized I was looking for it, then left it like nothing and oh we found it. Again, it's no way to run a business and makes me think if it had a been more valuable item or cash or something. If you come here, watch your items carefully. Nice location, staff and employees, but miserable experience. While my wife and our kids dined with her friends and their kids on New Years Eve 2015, her vehicle damaged by a hit-and-run while parked in the Long Wong's parking lot. Based upon the white paint scraped into her vehicle, it was most likely the huge SUV, of the same color, previously parked between my wife and her friend. As video documented, about an hour later with a phone and camera, most of the parking lot was covered in 1- 2 inches of solid ice. We had to file a Criminal Damage Report with PLPD regarding the hit-and-run which was actually labeled as "Criminal Damage". We called Two Hippies management to request if they had video tapes of their parking lot. We were delighted to hear that they did. So, we called the local PD and asked them to meet us at the restaurant to review the tapes to discover the culprit. Unfortunately, the Police and I discovered that the cameras don't point that direction. Not fun, but we filed the proper police report anyway. While the Officer took our report, he and I watched a Toyota, occupied by a number of dudes, spinning its wheels while trying to enter the parking lot. It was almost cartoon-like, ridiculous and laughable. After the driver gained finally gained traction (after about two minutes of spinning its wheels), it made it into the parking lot. Overall, a massively annoying and disappointing experience at Long Wong's Two Hippies, 2251 W White Mountain Blvd, Lakeside, AZ 85929. Both owners ignored our calls, text messages and emails regarding the incident and the conditions of their property. That is, until I sent them via certified mail a report of the damage. The owner, Robert B., finally called my phone on the 26th of January, 27 days after the accident. Robert stated, "Didn't believe your wife's car was damaged on our (Robert B's) property." Essentially calling my wife a liar. To date, I had held my tongue from expressing my self on Social Media in the hopes that they would speak with me as a gentleman, perhaps resolve this issue in a civil manner. Unfortunately, insinuating my wife is a liar went too far for me. Free speech is a Constitutional right and the truth is not libel. At this point it is a matter of principle, not money. I am looking forward to having the Navajo County Small Claims Judge review my 39 page report along with the testimony from my wife, her friend and the officer who witnessed the conditions of the parking lot. It will be interesting hearing Robert B. call my wife a liar in person. Overall the owners of Long Wong's Two Hippies, showed me and my family less respect and attention they do their neglected parking lot. Mathematically speaking, that is less than zero. Ordered Togo over the phone, we were skeptical due to some of the other reviews but our food was ready in about 20 minutes and it's great! We ordered a pepperoni pizza and it's classically done, really good marinara, a little greasy but again it's good classic pizza style stuff. THE RANCH IS BOMB!!! We also ordered 2 dozen wings, the medium sauce is thin but it's a butter based hot sauce blend so not the typical Buffalo sauce from a bottle so just ask for a side of medium sauce with it and mix to a consistency you'd prefer, the other posts complain a little too much about it... however the HONEY HOT is soooo good, highly recommend. A bit tangy and spicy, I also enjoyed dipping my pizza in it. Lastly we got a half rack of ribs and not only is it covered in baby rays BBQ sauce (the best) but I think they must brine the ribs or something cause the balanced tangy flavor goes thru the meat and is balanced out nicely with the BBQ sauce. Visit Pinetop a few times every year and never been here and will NEVER go back. Our service was horrible took over 20minutes to get drinks and only got them because another waitress had to ask if we'd be waited on yet. There were 3 other tables with customers so they WEREN'T BUSY. Our waitress ended up forgetting a pizza that we ordered and she never checked on us. When asked if we would get charged for the pizza she just looked confused and walked away. We also both got wings which had no sauce on them and we couldn't even get refills on water. So I ordered dinner through DoorDash. I received a call from Long Wongs telling me they did not have big potatoes. I asked for onion rings and they told me that would be an upcharge. It comes to the door pizzas cold, there are no onion rings, there's no tartar sauce there's no fish sauce, there's no barbecue sauce Nothing. So I called them and then they proceeded to tell me that the order was already almost done so they sent it out anyway. They just wanted the money and they really didn't care about the service. I live here full-time I am a neighbor and I firmly believe in buying local because I work for a place where I want people to be local. They told me to contact DoorDash and I said it's not a DoorDash issue. It's yours because you and I had a conversation on the phone. The owner gets on the phone and hangs up on me. I am from the valley I know good customer service and I also know shitty people and shitty companies.
