No, I mean the chicory was bitter but the roasted grapes gave it the perfect balance of sweet. It was delicious. Gilberto was super helpful and kept our drinks full. I had the Rigatoni Bolognese as my main course. The sauce is cooked for 12 hours and it's one of the only restaurant that gives you enough sauce without having to ask for more. My wife had the lobster with the mashed and grilled cauliflower in a cream sauce. While I didn't have any of it, she said it was definitely worth the price. We will be back again! read more

This is not in the main Honolulu or Waikiki area. It is in a quieter, more upscale resort section of the island, right near the Disney Aulani Resort close to Marriott's Ko Olina Beach Club. Because the restaurant is inside the Four Seasons, the setting feels very elegant and luxurious from the moment you arrive. The resort itself is beautiful, and Noe has that relaxed but high end vacation atmosphere. It is a great place for a nicer dinner, date night, anniversary, or special meal while staying in Ko Olina. Prices are definitely very expensive, but that makes sense given that it is inside the Four Seasons at Ko Olina. This is not a casual Italian restaurant price point. It is more of a luxury resort dining experience, so you are paying for the location, atmosphere, service, and quality of the meal. Brandon was our server and took great care of us. We started with the focaccia bread and whipped ricotta, which were both a nice way to begin the meal. We also ordered the hot truffle mashed potatoes as a side with our entrees, and they were rich, flavorful, and a great addition. For drinks, we had beer, wine, and a Diet Coke. For our main entrees, we ordered the Noe tagliatelle and the stuffed pasta. Both pastas were well prepared and had that handmade, upscale Italian feel you would expect from a restaurant like this. For dessert, we had the tiramisu, which was a great way to finish the meal. Overall, Noe is a beautiful, upscale Italian restaurant located inside the Four Seasons Resort Oahu at Ko Olina. We came in expecting an experience, but ultimately left feeling that the food did not quite match the price point. We ordered the baked Kona lobster ($82) and the pasta al forno ($65). For the price of the lobster, I expected it to come with some sides, especially since there wasn't a ton of meat once it was cracked open. As for the pasta, it was good but not particularly memorable, and the flavor didn't quite wow us. Tastes so good with their house made focaccia Noe signature tagliatelle - my favorite pasta dish! Can definitely taste the truffle and the parmigiano reggiano does add a nice cheesy fragrant in each bite. The pasta had a nice al dente chew. Filet mignon - this was alright. Nothing absolutely mind blowing in terms of the flavor. The only good thing about it was the tenderness. Broccolini - pretty good can't gone wrong with veggies sprinkled with Parmesan. Tiramisu - we ended the dinner with tiramisu which was pretty creamy and chocolatey. Had a nice crunch from the crumbly coffee streusel. Cake - since they knew it was our anniversary. They gave us a complimentary cake! Which was nice of them. When you order the pasta and filet mignon, they automatically give you two portions so you don't need to tell them that you want two if you're on a date. But I don't recall if the broccolini came with two. Overall, I highly recommend this place if you want to splurge for a special occasion and spend quality time with your loved ones. The best, true Italian restaurant on the Island. Finally, the chef understands the flavors of the locally sourced ingredients and has mastered using Italian flavors to bring out their best. For example, the excellent mahimahi. Hard seared on one side, perfectly cooked interior. It is sat atop a sweet onion puree reined in by acidic dried tomatoes, briny capers and brightened by a mixed green salad and confit fennel. The multidimensional flavors surrounding the fish actually teases out its natural sweetness and very gentle oiliness. Another example, the usual mild flavor a Kona kampachi used in the "pescato del giorno", becomes exaggerated when paired with clams all set in a slightly thick clam guazzetto in this case tasting like it was made from a combo of green tomatoes and eggplant dotted with parsley oil. The green flavor of pea micro greens, briny green olives, acidic dried tomatoes all enhance different flavors of the fish. The beef tartare, vibrant and fresh but showcasing the texture more than the flavor of the beef. Precision cut micro cubes of beef with a decent amount of fat still attached is piled atop a mix of tomato and eggplant puree sat atop a creamy goat cheese. It is surrounded by basil oil and tomato water and all topped by micro greens. A wet version of tartare with so many nuanced flavors. Outstanding. A duck salad, incredible. Thin slices of sous vide duck breast add the perfect earthy mineral component to a pile of vibrant, zesty, refreshing citrus vinaigrette on greens, with sliced apples, watermelon radish, pickled mushrooms, and dried nectarines. The food was all on the salty side compared to usual. The best part of our meal was the dessert, which got comped because twice the servers messed up an allergy dish and served my MIL something she told them to take out. We appreciated that they comped the dessert. The dessert itself was all so good. Everything was perfect. Service wise, this past visit, was also a bit disappointing. We came here on a Saturday night but wasn't too busy. The food was great and it's really good for a date night! We started with the burrata pupu, and I was a little hesitant to order this because it came with papaya, which I've never had with burrata before, but it actually worked so well. It also came with these crispy brioche pieces that looked more like pita bread. I had the truffle mushroom pasta, and I'd absolutely order it again. So rich and comforting. My husband got the rigatoni bolognese, and he liked his too. Our server was really nice, but the food did take a long time to come out. I'm guessing the kitchen was backed up, or maybe they were short staffed. Not sure, but I'm glad the food was delicious. The atmosphere is really aesthetic and romantic. I can't say enough good things about this restaurant. We decided to go here for Father's Day and thank God we did. If you're looking for an atmosphere that allows children of all ages to be loud and have a good time while experiencing five star food - this is the place to go. The hotel is gorgeous. You're surrounded by beautiful views as you walk through to get to Noe, then you enter and it's so relaxing. The employees there are incredibly helpful and friendly. We didn't wait long to be fed or offered drinks. They were so kind with our son, and attentive to me being pregnant. My husband loves going here! Last year, our server Lee went above and beyond--surprising us with celebratory bubbly, helping plate the top tier of our wedding cake, and making me feel completely welcomed even as I brought in a non-alcoholic bubbly since I was pregnant at the time. Many places might have made me feel awkward, but not here--they treated it like the celebration it was. This year, to our surprise and delight, Lee was our server again, joined by the incredible Daniel. Saw this restaurant when we ate at Mina's and it looked great...we walked over and asked if they had gf pasta and the hostess said, yes they make all their pasta in house including gf. We then made a reservation for a couple of nights later. The restaurant was beautiful with an outside patio that looked like it was inside a rain forest. Our server was extremely kind and knowledgeable about the menu and then explained they do not make any kind of gf pasta. The choices weren't plentiful for gf. We started with steak carpaccio for the table, moved to the gf rigatoni bolognese, chicken Marsala, and then onto the chefs special baked pasta. They also provided house made focaccia and gf bread for the table. Unfortunately they did not have homemade gf pasta as their hostesses had confirmed for us three times. With this being the case, the hubby's gf ( barilla) rigatoni with bolognese was just average. The food to value ratio was off but the food tasted good. Steak carpaccio was tasty but was extremely small for the 30.00 price tag. The winners were the chicken Marsala and the chefs baked pasta of the evening with homemade shells, ricotta, tomato and Italian sausage. Hubby could only pick around the pasta for the yummy sauce . Unlike other restaurants where pasta's and steaks can be overly salty, every dish at NOE was perfectly balanced on flavor and seasoning. We started with the ahi tonnato carpaccio, which was fresh and flavorful, followed by the house smoked beef carpaccio, which had a delightful smoky taste. The Chefs special stuffed pasta was a standout, with a perfect blend of textured that went well with extra truffles. The ambience is unique and classy - there's an outdoor garden with a stream full of coy fish, and great lighting in the trees under which you dine. I am giving my 5 stars to Sherri of Noe, at the Four Seasons, Ko'Olina. She was an incredible representation of how f&b service should be. My partner and I felt so cared for and special on our baby moon. I always and forever have such low expectations for bougie resort restaurants. But due to convenience and me being very pregnant we didn't have the energy to venture back out and Ko'Olina is a bit farther from some of our Yelp Bookmarked spots. So we walked up to Noe without a reservation to just attempt to get in. Surprisingly, it was only a 20 min wait. A lovely night as well as the night before was a non stop dreary monsoon. So tonight's breezy and beautiful evening was perfect for baby daddy and myself. Everyone from the entrance until we left was so sweet and kind. Making sure to make eye contact and say hello and show such beautiful aloha spirit. Sherri - above and beyond. So sweet, so knowledgeable, and continuously checked in to ensure our first beverages were full, our bellies were happy and just get to know each party. She's incredible and I hope the managers see how amazing she is. This woman deserves a raise!!!!! She totally turned my perception around of resort restaurants and I'd come back just for her service and kindness. We got the special of the evening stuffed pasta, bolognese, honey truffle ricotta with freshly made focaccia bread (so yum), baby daddy got a bikini blonde, and we were so stuffed we had to pass on dessert - but Sherri of course - went the extra mile and brought us a congratulations on the new baby special treat on the house. Service here is definitely top notch. You'll be assigned a main server, a co-server and a busser/food runner for your table. It's really like a dance, watching them do their thing on the floor. Not to mention, the ambiance can't be beat! We couldn't decide on what we wanted to eat, so we opted for the tasting menu. A little bit of everything to try. He shook it so long & hard there were "ducks on the pond", literally an icy layer on the top. He also made a great recommendation on their gin & provided little snacks of various olives and a walnut/pecan spiced offering that was delicious. Our main wait person was Tanner, although there had to have been at least 4 other people bringing out/taking away dishes or refilling water glasses, etc. The setting was beautiful! Outside right in front of the koi pond surrounded by the lusciousness of Ko Olani with a full moon. Probably our most romantic anniversary (over 50 years, so you can imagine we've been a lot of great places, but this was the best). Started out with the burrata and the ahi salad. Both were pretty good, but I wouldn't say memorable. Then we had the Noe tagliatelle & the bolognese.. both were excellent. We saved some to take home as we wanted to try the fish of the day (sea bass) with clams and the baked lobster. Lobster portion was a touch on the smalll side, but was very beautifully prepared & tasty.... But not worth the $80+ price tag. We also ordered the King oyster mushrooms - which were sooo good with our entrees. We went w/Michael's favorite desserts... the lilikoi crostada (very citrusy) and the warmed olive cake.. so moist/tender. We were also given an anniversary gianduja rocher which was chocolateky and nutty. We likely would have only ordered one dessert had we known they were giving a dessert to us. Think Tanner should have given us a heads up. Regardless, the setting was fantastic, the drinks were superb & we enjoyed our dinner. Really wanted to like this place but really the service was super slow. Long gaps between server arriva,l and order to food arrival. Really liked the endive salad. Very cool spin on a Caesar. Carbonara wasn't anything special. Seemed buried in a cream sauce and the normal flavors didn't pop. We did like the rigatoni Bolognese. Wanted to stay for dessert but the table next to us had waited so long for theirs that one of their party left early (seemed like) and he took it to go when it eventually arrived. Spectacular outside venue with tons of space and lush garden. Our bench seat cushions were thin and we were mildly uncomfortable. 10/10!! The food here is sooooo good! The service is fantastic, everyone is very friendly and servers are very accommodating. Beautiful ambiance, it did rain during our dinner but we were given umbrellas. We were given a free dessert to compensate for the rain and relocated inside, but all was well. Yes it is very expensive but the service was exceptional! My water was never empty and my table was constantly checked on. Must bring your best food palate to really taste all the flavors the chef had to offer. A lot of the dishes had truffle in it which i am not a fan of but the dishes I did order definitely were fresh and a first for me. The portions seem small but the spacing between courses helped digest and keep my palate clean. The house water and wine was really good. There was very loud music coming from next door(possibly a wedding) and The seats were uncomfortable for me. read more
