I've visited this Longhorns a few times. My food is always good and the staff, polite and proficient. Stopped by last night, with the family. Service was quick. Portions, hearty. Fair enough price - remembering nothing is inexpensive these days. Everything was delicious - from apps to dessert and drinks.

First time going. Loved the atmosphere. Staff is very friendly. Didn't have to wait long for seating. Food is amazing!

Longhorn is usually a pretty safe bet. At least at home they are. Auburn, ME location, not so much. I arrived around 530 and it was busy. They did get me seated right away. I ordered the seven peppers sirloin salad. It came out fairly quickly within 15 minutes or so. The steak was cooked perfectly, they left the croutons off like I asked. And the salad dressing was very tasty. The problem with the salad was the rotten lettuce that they left on it. When this is your entire meal it is pretty disheartening to have bad bits left on it. Also the server was non existent. I would not go back to this location!

I have not been here for a decade or so. This place was the place to go when it was new ! The place was not busy for 5 pm Monday . Our waitress was friendly but over worked taking care of too many tables to really serve us with refills ect . The man at the door the host didn't take pride in himself. Shirt half untucked , ect. We ordered beverages and the waitress brought out the bread . While sitting there waiting for our food you could not help but notice how run down the place was. Dirty . Tiles in the ceiling missing . Others water stained . Dusty. The divider between my table and the host desk has a Native American looking blanket as the divider. It was thick with dust . Bathrooms just as bad . All I could think was if t looks like this out here how does the kitchen look . Didn't make me excited to eat the food . Which was not great . A middle age woman was running around discombobulated , She had a burgundy shirt on with black pants. Her appearance did not seem appropriate for the job . This place is a dump and the food was not good . The health inspection needs to make a visit . I will never be back to this or any Long Horn Steak House .if I could give negative stars I would . Waste of hard earned money .

The service is always great. From the hostesses, to the bartenders and the servers, everyone is friendly and helpful. Our server asked us if we wanted bread before bringing it to the table which I appreciate so the bread isn't wasted when 75% of our table doesn't eat carbs. The restaurant is clean and conveniently located in town. The downside for me is that when I order a filet, I expect a tender piece of meat that I can easily slice my knife through without much trouble. As has happened before, the filet I received took work to cut because it was stringy and not that smooth piece of meat I would expect. There were several pieces of steak that I pushed aside as inedible because of the stringy pieces. I would definitely recommend better steak knives to start but also something has to be done about the meat. I love their sweet potatoes and the ribs are good too. The salad is also enjoyable mostly because they chop the vegetables down to a manageable-to-eat size. And lastly - if you save room for dessert, or if you're just going for dessert, go for the Chocolate Stampede. Most people tell me it's large enough for 4 people to share but I wouldn't know... get your hands off my chocolate cake!

Fresh and hot defined these apps perfectly! The sticks were warm and stringy, the pretzels were warm, soft, and salty. The cheese dip was actually delicious and tasted nothing like a can mix. For the main courses we had the home made mac and cheese that was topped with pulled pork which was sauced in Sweet Baby Rays and the Loaded Nachos topped with the Firehouse's award winning chili. The food all came out sized for a table of 8 with savory and sweet hints of deliciousness! The waitress was welcoming, outgoing, and offered sound advice on food choices. The cook staff was timely and efficient, and the bar tender was busy busy slinging cups full of the nectar of God (BEER!!)! The Firehouse House ambience lived up to the name with firefighter equipment, first responder memorabilia, and crafty decor. The only downside to this establishment is that is dark and throws a dive bar vibe. 9/10... we will be coming back here for sure (and ordering less food)!!

Gritty McDuff's in Auburn is an excellent choice for dinner and drinks!…read more I walked to Grittys from my hotel and sat inside the bar while they made our food to-go. The bar is spacious and on Thursday night they had someone playing life music. We ordered a pizza, burger, and pickle chips and all of the food was tasty. The service is also excellent! Only reason for 4 stars is I didn't care for their beers. I tried their blueberry ale and hazy IPA. I'm a bit of an IPA snob so don't let this ruin your opportunity to have an amazing experience. Grittys has an amazing outside dining area and a large menu! Check them out if you're in Auburn!

We were surprised to see a pile of jalapeños included - maybe it's on the menu and we missed it. Corn bread was moist. I opted for a build your own burger which was great. No bun, lettuce and tomato. The waitress told me to just tell her what I wanted on it and she'd get it for me. Cool. She didn't tell me I would be charged an extra $1 for a tiny bit of spinach, and 75 cents each for grilled onions and mushrooms. Not cool. I definitely would have just selected an "already made" option. I asked for sautéed mushrooms and onions so was a little surprised to get deep fried shrooms. There were good - I would probably order, and even be willing to pay extra, for them again. My issue was not being told. The seasoned fries were really good. The iced tea and Hazy IPA were (of course) good. Our waitress was a bit too attentive. It seemed almost like every time we took a bite, she was asking if everything was okay. Maybe just check in a couple times over the course of the meal? Please do remember that 3 is not bad. For me, it's a solid average.

I don't know if they stepped up their game, if last time I was here was an off day or if my man in the kitchen has anything to do with it. But this place lives in a while different place in my brain. Apps Asparogi Avvolti: Prosciutto wrapped asparagus with fontina cheese and balsamic glaze. Sweet young asparagus, wrapped in salty prosciutto with nutty fontina melted over the topped, drizzled with the perfect about if sweet glaze. Fried Calamari: calamari, fried cherry peppers, arugula, and cherry pepper aïoli. Fresh, breading was light and crispy. My only complaint here is there weren't enough tentacles, a lot of rings. I usually only eat tentacles because the rings are usually close cousins to rubber bands. That was not the case here, but I still wanted more tentacles. Either way very delicious. Main Brick Oven Brie Pizza!! Amazing, they crossed perfect, light chewy cooked through, not soggy in the middle. Everything you want out of pizza crust. I find myself constantly disappointed in the Lewiston Auburn area when it comes to pizza. There's one other place I go that's in Auburn, it's nice to know there is a second option if you want a pizza crust that doesn't taste and feel like cardboard. I was honestly shocked to see a real veggie option on the menu that wasn't a veggie burger (although they have that too), so I had to try the chimichurri tofu. It was cooked well - 4 slices cut thin enough to give it a good crispy exterior. The chimichurri sauce was tasty. However, it feels like whoever created this dish has never cooked with tofu before or at least not very much. My suggestion would be marinating the tofu before cooking. The chimichurri made it somewhat enjoyable (I did finish it all!) but the flavor dissolves quickly as you chew through the tofu. I think marinating it will really seal the deal on that dish. Otherwise, the service was great, very friendly and very prompt. The building is quaint and bigger than it looks from the outside. I think my entree was a little overpriced for what I got at $23, but I digress. I see the vision and wish them success.

I really hope this restaurant stays. I have one concern.....the parking, yes, for the customers, but more so for the restaurant staff. Restaurant staff are getting parking tickets. What's the point of working downtown if all restaurant staff tips go to paying parking tickets? I suggest the owners of all the restaurants downtown talk to the city of Lewiston, and ask if restaurant staff could get a free pass to the garage after they show proof of employment. Use a sticker on the window IDing cars exempt from payment to the garage. City of Lewiston, please step up and help hard working people not lose their tips to parking tickets. Don't want to lose good workers due to parking tickets. Lewiston, you have wonderful downtown restaurants. HELP KEEP THE HELP!!!!! Abby was amazing, kind, attentive. Enjoyed her very much. The ambiance was relaxing. The lighting is prefect, not too dark, not too light. There were not many people when we were there, probably due to no available parking, so I don't know the noise level. I could guess, based on the height of the ceiling I would think it would be noisy, echo'ey, if it were packed. But not so loud as to prevent a conversation with your party.
