I have been waiting for this business to get on yelp. I have ordered numerous times from L&E and the food is always top notch. I have been following them since their S Dixie days and the quality of the food doesn't change. From their boils to their deviled eggs to their mashed potatoes. It's all good! I take off a star because of the wait at times and because they are cash only. Pro tip: the smaller boils have a lot more sauce and just taste a lot more flavorful than the pans to me. Bad experience with my online order. I ordered product for Christmas stocking stuffers for my wife. After calling and emailing four times to be assured that I would receive the items by Christmas I was told four different things. One of which that I would receive an extra gift for the trouble. Since they're mainly run through their social media pages, it was a little difficult to find exactly what I wanted on their expansive menu. We ordered a huge pan of king crab and shrimp with sausage, eggs, and potatoes, as well as their mac and cheese. Although we arrived to pick up our scheduled order, they gave us a call saying that they were ~15 minutes late. Unfortunately, we waited significantly longer, but the food was definitely fresh. Our order was able to feed a family of four for two meals; we even made rice at home to compliment their sauce. Honestly, their sauce is amazingly creamy and fragrant, but slightly too salty for my taste. However, when mixed with potatoes or rice, it was delicious. You can never go wrong with their mac & cheese -- it is so filling and thick. We did order an extra container of spicy sauce on the side, but it wasn't spicy at all. An absolute gem! I've been eyeballing this place on Instagram for awhile now and I knew that when my birthday rolled around that this was the place I'd want to go to celebrate. We tried to order on a Saturday night on the way back from Jupiter but the wait was 2 hours to have an order ready. We planned instead to order on Sunday early afternoon for a pickup at 6pm. It's very clearly stated on the Instagram and the website that this place takes to-go orders and also delivery through some services. So getting upset about not having a sit down restaurant is on you and not them. Placed my order on the website that Sunday around 11am for 6pm and got an email back saying that my order had been scheduled for 6pm. Perfect. That night we headed up to Lake Worth and had a little trouble finding it- it's facing the street and it's not really clear where it is until you find the lot next to it, then you can call to let them know you're there. While waiting for our food, the lot got really busy and we got to talk to other people about what their favorite dishes were and what we all got and even where we were all from! We weren't the only ones from Broward and someone else comes to this place 1-2x a WEEK. We were so hyped, we got our food, CASH ONLY and tipped the guy who brought out the food. From their website it's a young couple who owns it and I absolutely love the idea of supporting their passion and hope they can grow it into what they're dreaming it will be. L&E did an AMAZING job from the set up, to the decorations to the food!! We had 80+ guest and it was the perfect amount! Everyone was able to eat as much as they wanted the entire time. This was my first time trying L&L and it won't be the last. Their location is tucked inside a shopping Plaza off of Congress Ave in Delray. I ordered the Shrimp Boil with Signature Spicy Sauce (single portion). It took about an hour before I could pick it up and cost around $25(cash only). After tasting this boil, all I can say is that the chef knows what they're doing. The flavor, spice, and seasoning was perfect. The food was all cooked well and the portion was fair. Overall my experience was not the best due to the lack of ingredients they had. I originally ordered the Rasta pasta with steak and salmon and another order of seafood Burria taco with a side of fries. They called on two separate occasion indicating that they ran out of steak, fries and crabs. That was disappointing due to the fact that this was our first time trying this place. Please be advised that when you get the address it is located next door to a Badcock furniture store because one number off and it leads you 10 mins away from the actual location(which is weird). I tried their food twice because I wanted to try both the seafood and the steak. Our steak seasoned well but was over cooked. I literally couldn't cut through it or chew it and that was a disappointment. The portions are huge so one plate can be eaten twice of shares with someone. The Mac n cheese was cheesy and very tasty. The mashed potato was seasoned as well but very dry. Now the seal food platter was really nice. I had their specialty sauce which I could tell was mustard base but still quite creamy and delicious. It wasn't to salty which I find that most seafood boils tend to over salt the sauces. That platter a was a def worth having. My only negative comment was the corn.
