Let me start by saying that I believe this Longhorn location to be the best value restaurant in the east Valley. I went in today with my wife and mom for my 65th birthday, and we had good food, and at very reasonable price. I spent several hours going through the bookmarks for restaurants I wanted to try looking for a good steak place with good service. I went through all 458 bookmarks I had, and I found most of the places over 3 years old were gone. I also found the majority of high-end place I was tracking were reporting more service problems than usual. You cannot have a great restaurant without a great staff, and it's almost impossible to find good people today! I noramally have the ribeye, but tonight I had the porterhouse steak, and I ordered it rare with a warm central. The filet side of the steak was perfect and delicious. It did have some hard to cut tendons, but that's normal for this cut. My mom loved her ribeye, but again she struggled to cut it, even with their huge steak knives they give you. She loved the flavor though, and it was cooked to a perfect medium rare that she ordered. My wife doesn't eat beef, so she had the strawberry chicken salad that she always loves. All in all we had our entire meal for less than half of the cost of just what a single steak costs at the supposedly best locations, and we had appetizers and an extra side of asperges that was cooked perfectly. I was only disappointed in the fact that as a member of their site that I wasn't even offered a free dessert for being a member for several years. I didn't make a fuss about my birthday, but the table for 10 next to us got a free sundae for their birthday girl. I didn't need or want the extra calories, but the company backend should listen to this. As I said before I think this place is one of the best value restaurants you can find. You cannot best their 10.99 half pound burger lunch specials deal! I will be going to the Keg for the free entree that they offer for a birthday present. Pay attention Longhorn! As a side note I don't recommend the spicy chicken egg rolls. They didn't look as pictured, and they seemed to be more beans than chicken. They do need some better and healthier appetizer options for sure! read more

I am actually kinda pissed. I ordered this lunch direct from Long Horn's own website. I came in person ahead of time and waiting for the appointed estimate time of 1:31pm. I called at 1:34pm as I received no text. Whoever was handling calls asked me for my spot number, which I gave. I waited and waited until 1:55pm at which point I double checked my texts and nothing. I called thinking maybe there was a problem.. it had been ready. I noted I called in and they said no one ever checked in. I noted I had called at 1:34pm and they said they had no record of anything. The person who walked it out identified themselves as the bartender and apologized. I accepted the food and figured okay, mistakes happen. I'm not going to berate the person who isn't responsible. Then I see the actual food. ... This 7 pepper sirloin salad was.. a salad. The amount of actual meat and the quality of the meat originally had me wondering if someone actually ate part of the meat. But I am more convinced that this is just representative of LongHorn's idea of a sirloin salad. I had the sweet potato as a side which, btw, was the only thing lukewarm warm. The sirloin was cold. The greens part of the salad was okay... I am so glad I opted for no dressing. Based on my in person experience, I will not be giving them my business again unless someone else I'm accompanying wants to go here ... and even then I would recommend somewhere else. No idea what the communication problem is between their staff, but if this is typical service, it can't be good for business. read more

We had an extremely frustrating and unacceptable experience with the hostess staff. We were told the wait would be 25-30 minutes, yet my family and I were left waiting for two full hours. We were seated directly in front of the host stand the entire time, and not once did anyone provide an update or acknowledge the excessive delay. Instead, we watched smaller parties get called ahead of us while the staff stood there giving us dismissive looks. After two hours, my sister finally had to ask what was going on, only to be told the table they were waiting for had already been occupied for three hours and they had no idea when it would be available. That is information that absolutely should have been communicated much earlier. To make matters worse, when we politely asked to have our name removed and decided to leave, the two hosts exchanged smirks and watched us walk out. That level of unprofessional and disrespectful behavior is completely unacceptable. This was a clear failure in basic customer service and communication. Great service! I never knew that this establishment was here in this location. I'm in this area all of the time so when I was invited to din din, I could not picture it's location in my head. Upon entrance, everyone appeared to be busy but then, someone came to seat us. The place is spacious. I had the sirloin combo meal which came with a garden salad, a 6" sirloin and shrimp skewers over rice as well as, a huge baked potato. The meal was good but my steak was over cooked. They also brung out bread which wasn't the freshest. The bread was hard and flaky making for a messy cut. The bread wasn't very warm êither and tasted as if it had been out for a while. Celebrated my birthday dinner here in Phoenix at the longhorn steakhouse. Waited wasn't long maybe 15-20 minutes for a table for 4. We got seated in an oversized booth, plenty of room. The ambience was nice rather dim but not an issue. Started out with a the baked Parmesan mushrooms. They were creamy and soft washed them down with a tall miller light. I ordered the New York strip with a side of grilled shrimp and a loaded potato. Steak came out as o requested, medium. The was a nice crust on the steak that held in the juices. I was very delicious and flavorful. Overall my first experience was impressive, there wasn't a long wait time for food everything arrived in decent amount. Very disappointed with my meal and staff at this location. My steak was over seasoned and salty. The A1 steak sauce arrived after I finished my meal. The broccoli was DEAD ON ARRIVAL. And some pieces had brown spots in the center. Why would you serve your guests a side of vegetables in this condition? Upon leaving the restaurant the greeter/ seater at the door did not have the manners to say thank you and come again but kept her head looking down at her feet. Whoever manages this location needs to re train the staff.....to have a 'personality' . Additionally, have the wait staff ask customers whether or not or how much seasoning they prefer on their steak order. There are many people today who restrict the amount of salt/ seasoning they use on their food. As regular patrons for over 20 years at this location, I can honestly say this is our go-to for filet mignon, burgers & ribs! Always fresh and always delivered with the best service. Bobby is the friendliest server, really cares about his customers and it shows at every visit. Steve is friendly and personable and Brent has always stopped by our table to say hello and see how our meal is. Haven't been here in years but was in the area very hungry. Stopped in to grab a bite to eat and everything was very delicious. The inside was very clean and the hostess sat us promptly. We ordered the Ribeye Steak with Loaded Baked Potato and Baby Back Ribs with Loaded Baked Potato. It came with a Caesar Salad, Garden Salad and unlimited bread. The steak was cooked to perfection with the ribs falling off the bone. The only thing I didn't like was the bbq sauce was overly sweet. Other than that, everything was executed perfectly. My food was great but later on I realized that the price I was charged for the 10 oz salmon was higher than other locations. I also checked past receipts on my fetch account which shows the price variation. It also didn't look like the 10 ounce cut. I get the Salmon on each visit to Longhorn and have ordered both cuts. The Salmon is my favorite annd it truly is exceptional at Longhorn. The cut on this particular visit was definitely not a ten ounce cut. I didn't say anything to my server while there because I was at dinner with other people. I didn't wish to make a big deal about it in front of others. That's embarrassing. I was definitely dissapointed it was not as large as it should have been. I still highly recommend Longhorn and will go back often for the Salmon. read more

We rarely go out anymore. Not a fan of "corporate" restaurants. Nevertheless, recently on a Saturday night here we were with our two little granddaughters (6, 2) asking for a table. Nice hostess, prompt seating, discreetly tucked away so nobody would trip over the high chair (yay). Cocktail service was quick and the old-fashioned was well balanced (had a second one to ensure quality was consistent.....you know, in the interest of scientific evaluation for this Review). KIDS MENU - shout out for an actual menu of Real Food for kids under age 12. IYKYK, moms! Yes, there is mac & cheese and burgers but also Grilled or Fried chicken tenders and for a little more a sirloin steak. But it is the Sides that rock - choice of sweet potato, loaded baked potato, mashed potato, rice pilaf, fries, broccoli or fruit. REAL food. Side note: beauty of two kiddos is ordering two meals with different sides and then mixing/matching to come up with a nicely balanced dinner. The Broccoli was fresh, lightly steamed, worth eating. I had a swiss cheese bacon burger that was fresh, juicy, well seasoned. Side salad was crispy, fresh (Not wet) and included tomato, cuke & croutons plus shredded cheese. We were craving steak & couldn't get into Flemings so we stop in Longhorn. We realized we had never eaten her. We had steak, fire corn, baked potatoes & strawberry margaritas. The food was delicious. They work as a team so note your service will be great. When person will bring you at your drinks another person will bring you your food. The person will bring you out. The food will get any kind of condiments or stuff you need. The only downer is that the restaurant is dark & the carpet in the front entrance smells. They have TV so if you're sitting at the bar and boost close to the bar, you'll be able to see the TV but the place is dark and had a funny smell in the entrance, the floors are sticky but the restaurant smelled ok & the bathrooms are clean. read more

Saturday around seven to eight p.m. 5/17 So I decided to try this place again Saturday night which was extremely busy. Based on that, I decided not to get too upset that every spot at the bar was covered with the previous customers food. As soon as I sat down the lady helping the bartender cleared my area and got me a drink. Last time I ordered a medium, and it was extremely rare, they hooked it up and refired it for me. This time I thought to avoid that I would order it medium well and that should cure the issue. See the pic. When the bartender asked me if I wanted bread, I said no, she then brought me bread. So, besides the shirted manager, there was a couple of them I'm not sure which one it was, coming out of the kitchen area fondling his zipper, overall it was a good meal. The girl handling all the takeout orders and curbside pick up was awesome. Not to sound creepy but her perfume smelled like candy. Being in the restaurant business in the past, I understand it's not easy to constantly watch everything on a Friday or Saturday night rush. Probably better if I go on the off days. During my business trip in Phoenix area, I decided to come here for dinner. I was served by Sidney, and she was a fantastic server. She was attentive and friendly. I ordered their 12oz Ribeye with Baked Potato and Rice Pilaf. I asked her to switch my rice pilaf with French Fries, as I was craving for some. She was able to help me with my switch. Don't waste your money for steak here. The appetizers were good, but the steak--no flavor and it had a weird soft tenderness to it.

Food & service perfection! Our server Brian gave us the perfect amount of attentiveness and brought refills on our sodas without being asked. The complimentary bread had a nice nutty flavor. The stuffed mushrooms were garlicky and cheesy, the fried shrimp appetizer was fresh, delicately battered and perfectly fried. The salad had lots of cold and crispy toppings, Our ribeye and t-bone were perfectly seasoned and grilled to perfection. The baked potato was fluffy and generously topped with cheese and sour cream. A delicious meal to celebrate our 47th anniversary. It's becoming increasingly difficult to go to dinner and have all the stars aline with service and food but this was it. This place really was pretty reasonably priced for a steak joint. They were pretty busy and there was a wait to get seated but service was quick once we were seated and everything was pretty good. I had Mac and Cheese. They use a richer "stinky" cheese so it was not quite what I'd anticipated but it wasn't necessarily bad by any means. Loaded potato (which really wasn't that loaded, but still good). Brussel Sprouts (were a little sweeter than I'd like but they were good). Seasoned fries and the Longhorn Porterhouse. The steak was pretty good. I ordered medium well and it came out more on the medium side but I suppose that's better than overcooked. I am not one to send food back and I tried, but we both sent them back. They brought them back out and they were still raw and not warm to the touch at all. I could not eat it after that. The utensils brought to our table were visibly dirty, with leftover residue and water spots that made them look unwashed. This is basic hygiene, and for a restaurant that positions itself as a quality steakhouse, this is unacceptable. Clean silverware should be a given, not something customers have to question or request replacements for. We celebrated my wife's birthday on Feb 15th. She wanted to go to Long Horn for her favorite crusted parmesan chicken and their version of street corn. Well, no corn on the menu but the food that we ordered including the appetizer was the best ever, My half rack of ribs were fall off the bone juicy and matched with the chicken, sweet potato and brussel sprouts were a dream come true. My wife had the chopped steak smothered in onions and mushrooms with asparagus and potatoes on the side. We were suppressed that the place was so full because the day before was valentine's day and we figured everyone would have been there for that. But with no hesitation they seated us and the waitress showed up for our drink order. I asked if the ribs were good and Deniz (the waitress) said that they were exceptional and I'd be missing out if I liked ribs and didn't try them. All through the meal she was very attentive and friendly but still very professional. something you find very often anymore. She brought out a surprise birthday fudge sunday for my bride which made the experience so much more then just a dinner. We love the ambiance, kinda rustic with a modern clean fair. We dine here often. The food is consistently very good. Our favorite is the salmon, street corn, asparagus, sweet baked potatoes and the salads are always fresh and delicious. The only negative is the ladies restroom is in need of a refresh. (I can't speak for the men's restroom) The tile floor especially. read more

4 of us came in, it was a pre birthday dinner for my husband. I had the cowboy ribeye which was cooked perfectly. Got there 30-min early and was told they couldn't seat us until at least 1/2 of our group was there. Had that amount 5-min before our reservation and they said, "Getting it ready now" Well, we didn't get seated until 30-min AFTER our reservation time, WTF!!! Why even bother, there were tonne of tables free too! Then our food took 45-min to show up after ordering. But only half. Waiter said, "had to send your order in batches to kitchen" WTF! We should've walked out right then and there. After another 15-min, rest of order finally showed up. And they couldn't even get orders to correct people. Came with my bride and son for my wife's birthday dinner. I had a Kiltlifter 22oz beer, and my wife had a 12oz bottle of Coors Lite beer, while my son got a soda. We ordered a cheddar cheese stuffed mushrooms appetizer, and they each got a bowl of Lobster Shrimp Chowder. My wife got the 6oz Filet medium rare with Asparagus, my son got the 12oz Ribeye Steak with Mac n Cheese, and I got the 12oz Strip Steak with Brussel Sprouts. Our waiter brought us fresh bread and butter and our drinks and glasses of water right away. When the appetizer came it was wonderful. Simply superb! The Chowder and salads came next and they were also excellent. When the main courses came the steaks were done perfectly, not overdone, and the sides were also done very good (I loved the Brussel Sprouts!). Our waiter checked back frequently and also brought us more bread and butter. We finished off the evening with an order of Cheesecake and Pecans which we all shared. Great experience! We decided to come here because someone in our party loved a burger they got at longhorns. We popped in on a Friday and it was very busy the last week of the year, however, the wait time was a lot less than they estimated! Score! I started off with a Hendricks martini, which the server served table side. We had the onion appetizer, and then decided to have the filet mignon and loaded baked potato and salad.
