We just did the lunch carry out. For a price comparable to fast food we had Longhorn quality for less than we'd spend at , say, Chipotle or Chinese options. This was a birthday Lu ch for my husband and he really enjoyed the food and the service. Everything was securely packed and ideal temp with the cold stiff cold and the hot stuff hot. I can't tell you home many times my carryout has dropped or spilled or leaked all over the inside of the bag from other places. They had heavy/divided or partitioned containers and a heavy shopping bag. My soup was intact vs leaking everywhere the portions were very generous - in fact my chicken sandwich was not only great hut large enough to feed 2. So end of the day- we'll be back and end everyone to know that Lo thorn is the place to go. It's a gem. I thought it just another chain restaurant but I was wrong. We were there on Fri night for little one birthday dinner. And to my surprise, we barely waited for 30 min to be seated. The place look nice and clean also. Nice bar area but was full so couldn't find a seat. The waitress was very friendly and helpful with the menu choices. She came back and check on us often, made sure we are ok with the food and have everything we need. Needless to say, the food was good, the drink was also great. We had a great time. My husband and I dined at the LongHorn Steakhouse on Harrison Avenue last Friday evening, and overall, we had a pleasant experience. The restaurant was clean and well-kept, which is always important to me, and the staff was friendly and attentive without being overbearing. Our server, a nice young man, was polite and checked on us just the right amount--something you don't always find these days. I ordered the 6-ounce Flo's Filet, cooked medium, and it was tender and flavorful, just as it should be. The mashed potatoes were creamy, and the seasonal vegetables were fresh, though I do wish they'd offer a few more classic sides (perhaps some green beans cooked the old-fashioned way). My husband had the Outlaw Ribeye and cleaned his plate, so I'd say that's a good sign! The only reason I'm not giving five stars is that the noise level was a bit high for our liking--it seems like every restaurant nowadays plays music a little too loudly. Also, while the prices are fair for the quality, it's still a treat rather than an everyday meal for folks on a fixed income. The restaurant was buzzing with customers when we arrived and I really thought we would have to wait the full 45 min as we where told by the hostess. We sat down in the waiting area and where so happy when our name popped up on the wait list after only 20 min. Our server Amber was super nice, and delivered our drinks and salads in a flash. Our main course arrived super quick as well. The house salad was aooo tasty!!! Freshly made - not out of a salad bag!! I opted for Salmon my hubby for baby back ribs. The fish was cooked perfectly and very delicious. My hubby was raving about his ribs saying that they where cooked to perfection. This review is far overdue, as LongHorn Steakhouse on Harrison Avenue has been a favorite of mine and my husband's for years.. Tonight we dined before an FC Cincinnati soccer game, and we were pleasantly surprised at how quickly we were served and on our way to the game given the crowd. (I highly recommend using the LongHorn wait list.) Our server was extremely friendly as well and checked back often to see if we needed anything. The restaurant manager also stopped by our table to see how we were enjoying everything, which was nice. To start off, my husband and I shared a bowl of the Shrimp and Lobster Chowder, which was amazing! For my entree, I ordered the 7-oz salmon with crispy brussel sprouts. Everything was delicious and cooked to perfection, especially the Brussels Sprouts. Yum! My husband had the ribeye steak with corn, and the steak was enormous! For dessert we shared a piece of the Strawberries and Cream Shortcake, which was devine! It was the perfect size to share, and the calories are not too bad as desserts go. It was oh so good! I ordered the New York Strip with a baked potato side. The steak was cooked perfectly just as I ordered it and the potato was very tasty and came out nice and hot. Our waiter, Anthony, was very friendly and accommodating. He checked in on us several times, the food all came out correctly and well timed in between our salads and main entrees. He was great at refills and making sure we had everything we needed. The negative would be the wait time as the estimated time compared to actual time was off about 20-30 mins. Also we were told our table was ready by text message and when we came up to be seated we were told we were "double-paged" with another group (in other words they gave our table away) and we had to wait an extra 10 mins before our party was seated. Taste and tenderness of their steaks has greatly diminished over the past year or two, to the point I've decided to no longer patron this establishment. Baked potato was excellent, as was their house salad. You are better off ordering lemonade then an alcoholic drink, which there is no taste of alcohol. Service was excellent on a very disappointing meal. Hamburger would have tasted better then their Flo's Filet. I WAS a regular customer, despite the increases in their prices, but my last three visits were VERY disappointing, and at least for me, three strikes and your out. Many friends have the same opinion. Great place for a good inexpensive small steak dinner - I got the small (6 oz) renegade sirloin steak - love their seasoning and there is little/no fat/grizzle but the steak is still flavorful and tender when ordered rare (and they did cook it to right doneness) came with a nice baked potato and quite a nice tossed salad with bleu cheese dressing. Very good for a mid-priced steak chain. Our waitress did a great job, knew her stuff, was friendly and checked on us the right amount to make sure all was good with our food and drinks. A Flo's filet, chopped steak, and stuffed mushroom appetizer all were excellent, but the main point of this review is that the online order with curbside pickup experience was FLAWLESS. Every single item was prepared exactly to order, including some special instructions, and even all the minor things like butter patties and croutons were included. The order was fresh and in my hands within less than 5 minutes from pulling into the parking space and notifying them I was there. It may help that I ordered at a relatively non-busy time, and the tip I added when I placed the order was a little more than the 10% default the online system suggests. We recently dined here on a visit from California. We found this location to be run much different from other locations we have visited. Our server, Charle was very efficient however the restaurant has issues. First we found that it was not very clean. It was obvious the floors under the table hadnt been swept for some time. There were napkins, and tissues under most of the tables. Also, both of the menus were very sticky. It was hard to miss the 4 employees standing by the check in podium chatting. I was pleasantly surprised by Longhorn Steakhouse. With my husband having to be up early the next morning, we decided to have an early dinner at Longhorn Steakhouse. We were seated upon arrival. The food was great. Steak and burgers were cooked as ordered. My steak was vary flavorful. There was a nice sear on the outside. My sweet potato was fluffy and delicious. After a while, both my children found the fries to be too spicy. They didn't seem spicy to me, but they were too salty. They may have been interpreting that as spice. The free bread was warm and soft, with a crisp outer crust. My only complaints about my meal were that the salad was obviously from a bag, with extras placed on top to try to hide it, and the plating. Though, I would rater have bad plating and amazing food, than beautiful plating a bad food. Decor could be described as country kitsch. Being a chain restaurant, it's about what I expected. The restaurant was nice and quiet for the first half of out meal. After that, a party of 8 was seated next to us. The noise level quickly rose to that of a bar. My husband could no longer hear me over the table next to us. The food was good enough for us to go back. I look forward to trying the desserts on our next visit. read more
