I' not sure what has changed over the past few visits but it's not great anymore. In the past we have always had nice host, great service and amazing food. My last few experiences have been hit or miss. Hostess was not friendly to anyone. Seated quickly though! Alway amazing looking and clean! The western decor is sweet! Waitress let us wait for 10 minutes before she said I'll be with shortly. Few minutes later we placed our drink and appetizer order. Drinks and app came quickly. Eventually after appetizer (Wild West shrimp, delicious) was gone and drinks the waitress came back to take our order. Salad came right out and so did our dinner. I had the fillet mignon (ordered medium) and salmon combo, sweet potato and brussels sprouts. Steak was rare and just a nuggett of the hardest piece of meat. A1 could not save it! Yeah that bad I asked for A1 sauce. Sweet potato not cooked all the way. Neither was my dad's. Salmon was so over cooked it was not worth eating. Brussels sprouts were delicious and so was the salad and bread. I would have said something but the waitress did not return for a long time. When she did it was a run by drop off bill. The workers all have been very pleasant, peofessional, helpful and provided excellent service, overall! At this location, we were served by Brian Freeman (lol, he was so nice that I had to know his full name) and he 2as simply amazing! It was such a treat and bonus to be served by a local celebrity! He sings amazing and I hope we get to see him perform in Dreamgirls!! He made our day with his very pleasant demeanor and helpfulness! Although he is very talented, it clearly shows that he cares about doing an amazing job at Longhorn! I watched him interact with all his patrons, and his authentic, kind demeanor obviously made it a joy to eat at Longhorn! He represents the Brand very well as does the others whom I observed! Now to the food, lol. The food is very reasonably priced and we love that you give comp yummy bread and butter! That's a rare treat there days! The chicken sandwich with all the fixings is very tasty, however, this time i did ask for little to bo salt added cause the last time I had one it was way too salty. I don't know if we have been lucky or what, but we always get good service and our food is always amazing. Today I had the French onion soup and it was so flavorful and cheesy. We also had the wings to start. We always get the Buffalo sauce on the side. The wings are huge and so crispy and delicious. I'm also a big fan of the bread. Our server today was so friendly and cheerful. I wish I would've gotten her name. I stick with the NY strip each time and always have to get the Parmesan crust on it. This was by far the worst service and will never come back. It was my birthday today and we decided to come here with joining the waitlist an hour before arrive with a wait of 70 minutes. We sat at the bar and the bartender was so incredibly rude. She complained about everything we asked for. We saw a guy playing with a golf ball and not helping. She was not interested in helping. We waited 30-45 minutes just to get our order in. Then after our meal, we waited 30+ minutes to get our bill and after asking another staff member for it. The bartender remarked at us "I prefer to do my own work". This was an awful experience and never have been made to feel so bad for trying to eat at a restaurant. We were both amazed how happy we were with everything!! The host gave us about a 25 minute wait, so we went to the bar to get a drink. It was a little slow. We ended up getting seated much earlier, and the service once we were seated was much better. Our server was friendly and fast. She didn't come back too often, but also never left us waiting. The food was all delicious! We started with the firecracker chicken wraps. We didn't even use the dip that came with them because they didn't need anything. Not the healthiest, but man, were they tasty. For my meal I had the shrimp and lobster chowder and a side Caesar salad. My husband ordered a steak (I'm pretty sure it was the Flo's Filet. We have been trying to get into this place for some time but they are always so busy. We finally found a wait time that was 30 minutes or less, so we waited. We are happy we did. The staff was friendly and busy. They were all about business and yet seemed to be able to be nice at the same time, which is uncommon at times. The place has a fully immersive feel to being in Texas. They even have the cowboy hats and rope on the walls. The place gives you a feel of being on the ranch. The place is smaller, which explains the wait times. I think the place is a good size to allow the staff more time with each table vs being flexible stretched too much. Now to the food. I feel that the food was almost like we would have made at home. Sometimes steak places over salt their food to give it flavor. This was not the case here. Let's start with the bread. It comes complementary and was nice and warm. The salad, which we chose Ceasars was really good! The dressing flavor was unique and had a slight sweetness to it. The sliced parmesan cheese was a nice touch and had some great flavor. The appetizer we got was a new appetizer which was not even on the menu. It came recommended by our waiter and he was not wrong. The flavor and Parmesan cheese crust was amazing. In addition to that the pita chips that came with the appetizer was the best pita chips we've had. They were slightly crunchy, but soft in the middle. The two steak dinners were as expected. The Texas fillet was really tender and flavorful. I ordered medium and it came out nearly perfect. The other was a sirloin with shrimp. The steak was nice and tender but the shrimp was AMAZING! The sweet potato with butter was a great side choice. The only downside was due to the steaks being a little mushy. They were not overly mushy and had some texture, but we felt that the steaks at home had a little more body. Wow. I had the best experience by far from all chain steak restaurants. Longhorn is incomparable to Texas Roadhouse, outback, and more. The wait was pretty long when I went, but the service and the food was great. We got the Longhorn and one of the other steak, along with the Strawberry Pecan salad and the Caesar salad. The sweet potatoes as a side and the sweet strawberry pecan salad just kept me and my friends digging into the steak. We were in town for a convention and got out of our last afternoon activity at a little before 5pm, so we had a bit over two hours between that and a show at 7:00pm, about 15 minutes away. We were all hankering for a steak, so I suggested LongHorn, since it was right down the street from our convention hotel. We knew the one near our house in Chicago was good for a tasty yet reasonably priced steak, so it sounded like a great idea. I put our name on the waitlist via the app, and we headed to the restaurant. I was a bit dismayed that we were 15th on the waitlist, but I hoped for the best. I was even a bit more dismayed when we arrived at the restaurant to find a very full waiting area, but the hostess estimated 25 minutes until we'd be seated. It ended up taking 39, but that still gave us a little over an hour to eat. As long as we ordered quickly, and our food came out fairly quickly, we should be okay. And we WERE! It was wonderful! We told our server, Joshuah Z, that we were in a hurry, and he sprang into action, turning our order in quickly then bringing our drinks, bringing our food out within about 10 minutes (if that), and being awesome the whole time we were there. I had the 6oz filet and lobster tail, and it was delicious -- nicely seasoned and just the perfect size. My Caesar salad and side of broccoli were also perfect. Everyone's steak was delicious -- one of the guys even commented that it was the best steak he'd ever had. My Tito's Texas Tea was also the perfect drink to have with dinner, to unwind from our very busy day. At the end of the meal, Joshuah Z asked if we were celebrating a graduation (my husband and I were with two young friends, who he may have thought were our sons). We explained that, no, we sing barbershop, and were at a nearby barbershop convention. Just for fun, as a thank-you for the great service, since we had all four voice parts, we sang a quick "tag" for him (the last part of a song): Falling in love, over again with you ... foolish over you. He loved it, and imagine our surprise when the restaurant patrons near us erupted in applause! When we're back in town again, we'll make it a point to go back. We had no problem waiting but later we found that they mistakenly put us down as a part of 12 instead of 3. Nathan aka the general manager but likes to call himself the Managing Partner was so helpful that he was able to get us seated 20 minutes faster than our original time!! Our server Justin was so chill, knowledgeable and efficient with our food and order! I also appreciate his honesty for letting us know that they were short staffed. I don't know what happened this time but this restaurant is about 30 minutes from where we live and haven't been here for a few years. That time everything was superb and the place was packed. This last Saturday we went after dropping our son off at the airport. We waited over 30 minutes for a table and it wasn't even busy. Service started out good then she ghosted us. She had multiple tables with issues and we got almost forgotten. I had the NY Strip and my wife the Full Rack of Ribs. I said no spices on my steak yet it came really over seasoned with pepper. OK I can live with that BUT my wife's ribs were charred/ burnt. They hid it by flipping them over. The manager came over and he took them back so the others wouldn't get served like we did. Everything was taking so long and we just wanted to pay for what we got and get out of there. Had to go ask for the manager again so we could get our bill. Horrible experience all around. Not kidding this turned out to be a 2.5 hour ordeal/ night there. Never again. We'll go the Outback or Logans next time which are less if not even in cost. read more

Food: The food was amazing. The Texas Tonion (onion rings) were very plentiful, between two people there still was leftovers. The ribeye steak was cooked to perfection (had it cooked medium). The mashed potatoes you can tell we're home made. They don't have any kind of gravy for the mashed potatoes. Like what's mashed potatoes without gravy? And if there is no gravy I would at least expect there to be some melted butter on top with some kind of herbs for taste. The Mac n cheese is nothing special as well. They use white cheddar cheese and no flavor. Over all the place was alright but nothing was grand about the place. Environment: It's very cozy and comfy. Forgot whether or not they played any music.
