    Half clean tables.

I've always had decent experiences at Razzoo's. However this night was terrible. As soon as you walk in this establishment, there seems to be dirty tables everywhere you looked. That we decided to order to go instead.

We went there on Saturday afternoon to take advantage of the secret menu special that we were sent via text. The service was extremely slow and for only a couple of items off the dollar menu, it took an hour to get our food and drink. But that's not why I don't recommend this business. My bill was $5.42, I gave my server a $20 bill, she brought me back a 10 and four singles... When I asked where my 58 cents was, I was told "oh we don't do change" I told her to consider that her tip. If a business is going to go to this kind of policy, then it needs to be in the customer's favor. Otherwise they need to cough up the money they owe me. I realize 58 cents is not the end of the world for me, but it's the point of the matter. Look how much they're making on every person every day doing this.

I placed an order for the CREOLE PORK CHOPS without the jalapeño sauce. I am not feeling well today but I know I need to eat. I ordered for dessert the KEY LIME PIE . I initially chose no whipped cream changed my mind and it melted in transit. Food is always A+ for this Louisiana native

The food was so good... I went in not knowing what to expect and came out a customer for life. the food was great, our waiter was on point And the food came out so fast it scared me But the food was fresh and hot. I believe my favorite dish of the night was the blackened fish Po Boy. I'll finish up by saying that I've only dined in once and I've only ever been into one location so experiences may vary. *Poor *Decent *Good *Great *Best *JLFoodie Certified Food. Great Service. So where should I start...Hmmm let me start by saying Mmmm and Mmmm. The Boudin Balls had the right amount of spice nicely fried and oh so good. Hubby had the Cajun Combo Skillet this meal came with Grilled andouille, shrimp Creole, crawfish e'touf'ee, red beans & garlic toast. He truly enjoyed his meal and I enjoyed tasting all of it. Lol. My meal I had the Hurricane Salmon which is Grilled salmon fillet brush with sweet & spicy Hurricane glaze. I substituted the mash potatoes for beans & rice and corn on the cob. Razzoos someone is doing something so right in that kitchen. Everything was wonderful. This was our first stop while visiting Mesquite/Dallas and I'm so glad we came here first. Ohh and have to mention Jesus our waiter was great. Had to edit my review because forgot to say please do not leave without trying the Bread Pudding! Perfectly made I tell you perfectly made!

We went to eat on national Margarita day so I expected it to be very busy. When we got there we were immediately seated. The drinks and the food was good. The lunch portion of the pasta was just what I needed. The bread pudding was very good and was just enough to share. I will be back.

This much for 1 person and crappy service... the food was cold when it arrived

I visited this restaurant at 4 PM and I was extremely disappointed in the service and the ignorance of the wait staff that ignored me, but when white patrons arrived, they were able to get seated and get their food while before I did, despite the fact that I had been here waiting first for over 15 minutes before someone would even come to my table in the bar area. In fact, I happened to notice that the waitress had to be told to come serve me by the manager, and openly displayed a bad attitude about being told to come to my table. I'm not a picky person, but when people give me reason to notice that they are trying to avoid serving me or helping, I think that it becomes obvious that I need to write the post for a review. I had waited unattended for 15 minutes before getting a glass of water on the table while sitting at a booth in the bar area. There was hardly anyone in the restaurant, so it wasn't busy. It just makes the over all experience horrible and I am disappointed and wish I hadn't come here. After I watched several white patrons get their food and appetizers before me, I had to say something to the waitress --and then my food came. To add insult to injury the food was completely cold, and it ruined my appetite. The waitress didn't come check on me either, so I packed the cold food and asked for the check. This is just not a place that I think respect diversity and when they see a black face, they just think that it's going to be a not positive experience. I didn't get my food until 4:45 pm and there was nobody in the restaurant. Contrast to popular belief, black patrons are very classy and respectful, and it just seen my Fay have a problem with serving blacks at this location . I hate being treated otherwise. This place gets a thumbs down and it's just not a place that I would frequently give my business .

The 2 for $20 special was super fantastic, and a great value. I had the cajun fried chicken which was deliciously tender. I also ordered the pasta, which was tender and had a creamy sauce. For my appetizer choice, I got the Canal Street combo, which included a bed of fried pickles, 2 Rat Toes, and 2 boudin balls. Needless to say I have a lot of food to take home and enjoy later. And my server, Tori, was no slouch either. It was "thanks to her" that I found out about the special.

The food was good but in the time it took for my wife and I to be served, at least three tables were sat, served, paid, and left.

Started with 3 pounds but it was so good I had to get two more pounds. The crawfish is seasoned the right way where the flavor is on the inside so they don't have to cover it in a dry spice. Also they were all big with just a few smaller ones. To top it off, having strawberry abita on tap is the perfect match for crawfish so I was extra happy. Saw the bread pudding on the menu and had to get it for dessert. It was warm, chocolate, and ate every bite. Delicious Southern Sweet Tea at that not what passes for sweet tea in Texas. I was not told to add grainy sugar into unsweetened tea like I was here. my tour guide was a local woman who's lived in the heart of New Orleans for 63 years, and was shocked and appalled when I read to her what the management of Charlie's Creole Kitchen replied to my critique regarding the Sweet Tea, (lack there of, as well as his belief that it isn't commonplace, or borderline essential) she was shocked in disbelief about as well as the astronomical prices we have to pay as their serving sizes in New Orleans are substantially bigger, for either equal or in some cases even cheaper prices. A Bowl of Gumbo in Texas, is a Cup in New Orleans this trends everywhere I visited. I understand importing certain coastal based ingredients can drive up the cost of the food, got it! that doesn't bother me as much as being gaslighted about things where this establishment does fall short. as a native Floridian, Foodie, and Avid Traveler. I don't really care how long someone's been running a kitchen (one way) constructive criticism should be embraced to increase the quality of an establishment, not gotten defensive over. Removing one star for having to go all the way to New Orleans to not feel like a crazy person about the Sweet Tea and Prices. This place is already really good! but could still be better! (OP) As someone from the Deep South, I have high standards for Southern Dives. First, a warning for my fellow Deep-Southerners: they must get away with this with their native Texan Patrons, but the lack of Sweet-Tea is Blasphemy. Unsweetened only. That's an automatic loss of a star. (that seems unfair over a beverage? no.) because for a lot of us from Louisiana, Bama, Florida, Georgia. That are looking for a little piece of home to dine at, A good sweet tea is the standard of a southern comfort meal. It's the peanut butter to jelly. The milk to cereal, the, Well you get it.. The Standouts: * Baked Stuffed Flounder (10/10): Hands down the best dish I sampled. The roasted red pepper sauce is incredible, and the cheese grits make it a real southern comfort platter. * Chicken, Shrimp & Bacon Corn Chowder (10/10): Truly New England-level quality. An absolute explosion of flavor. * Crab Cakes (10/10): Rich, delicious, and worth every bite. The Middle Ground: The Boudin Balls and Seafood Gumbo were solid (7/10), though the gumbo doesn't quite reach the level of a spot like Pappadeaux, it's decent. $11 for 3 decent Boudin Balls is highway robbery at its best. The Fried Seafood Platter was good, 7.5/10 but at $35, the platter is on the smaller side, especially only given one piece of catfish. The Oysters & Shrimp were good, the Crawfish decent, Catfish was decent, it had a small hint of fishiness, but it was good overall nonetheless. The side salads (3/10) the after thought of the menu, chopped head of lettuce smothered in ranch (or Italian) with one banana pepper, and one slice of tomato that looks like it was suppose to be on a burger, no toppings at all. Truck stops have better prepared salads. Which wouldn't typically be a problem if this was a budget-friendly eatery, but for its Texas-Sized prices, And New-York sized portions. The oversight of the Sweet-Tea and a decent side salad is for sure a miss. It might fully please Texans, but it left somethings to be desired from a non-Texan southerner. That being said! It is absolutely well worth the visit! The food was all above average for the region, the service was friendly, attentive and fast, the food came out quickly and efficiently. The location isn't great, but not bad. a little tight and congested, the interior is very mom & pop feeling which is nice. I truly did enjoy my experience, misses and all. And look forward to returning to sample more of the menu!
