Before I get into why I'm giving this rating, I want to say that our waiter provided excellent service. Started the experience with the silverware being dirty, and the napkin it was wrapped in was damp. I've eaten at many LongHorn Steakhouses over the years, so I'm very familiar with their menu and what to expect. Unfortunately, this location needs a new kitchen staff and stronger management. I now know why Texas Road House, just across the street had a huge group of people in line waiting for a table. The food was terrible. We ordered a ribeye and a filet, and both steaks were heavily seasoned with cayenne pepper--far too spicy for anyone wanting to enjoy the natural flavor of a good steak. My filet was anything but "melt-in-your-mouth" tender. It had the texture of a sirloin. I ended up scraping off as much of the pepper seasoning as I could and ate it because I was too hungry to send it back. My husband's ribeye was even worse. It was ordered medium but arrived well done and was so peppery he couldn't eat it. He sent it back, and we were told the manager would personally bring out the replacement. Instead, another waitress delivered it, and the new steak was rare. By that point, my husband had completely lost his appetite and said, "Forget it." The problems didn't stop with the steaks. The rice was over-salted. The only bright spot of the meal was the crispy Brussels sprouts--they were excellent. After our waiter spoke with the manager about the second steak, she finally came to our table. She offered to remove the ribeye from our bill, which we appreciated, but she seemed completely uninterested that her kitchen had repeatedly gotten the food wrong and ruined our dining experience. Yesterday I was trying to enjoy my 73 Birthday & by the end of the meal as I tried to be pleasant I decided to stop returning. Took quit a while for water to arrive I ordered Chardonnay & red came - ok as the wine was acceptable Bread came before the drinks I ordered the appetizer & it didn't come till the the main course None of the sides are scratch made NO GULF SHRIMP Potato was fine ( only 1 side came with the steak) As I ate the steak I realized most of it was under cooked Only in passing did the server ask how it was & she kept walking The manager was a tough looking woman & wasn't ok with me saying it wasn't the way I liked it - she said I should have said something - YET IM THE GUEST So she needs to go because she doesn't care & the company is into DEI Not yummy food The waitress didn't clear dishes so my table was cluttered towards the end The free desert was worth free I had to ask a few times for boxes & bag Then she disappeared with my Bank card for several minutes & I hope she doesn't take the information Better service at chix fil a's read more

To begin with we were unable to order most of the appetizers because they were out. The same thing with wines. Steaks were tough. Service was horrible. Server did not know the menu and when we got home the receipt showed a charge for a larger steak than the one received. The server did not like that I requested no cucumber. She told me I was weird. My husband took me there for my birthday today and everything was great! My porterhouse steak and my husband's lemon garlic chicken were super good! Whoever was cooking in the kitchen knew what they were doing! Our server Erica S was outstanding! She made it a special experience! Everything was clean and bright. I've never written a review like this before, but what happened at LongHorn Steakhouse yesterday was beyond unprofessional and flat-out disrespectful. Our group arrived hoping to enjoy a nice meal together, but instead we were met with rudeness and zero customer service. Manager Sarah told us she could not accommodate our party -- with no accurate explanation, no apology, and no effort to find a solution. We were calm and polite until she got over stimulated but as we walked out, she flipped us off -- completely shocking and totally inappropriate for someone in a leadership role. I'm honestly still in disbelief. This kind of behavior is inexcusable from anyone, let alone a manager representing the restaurant. If this is the kind of service LongHorn allows, I'll be taking my business elsewhere -- and encouraging others to do the same. read more

Where should I start? I have never left a review before but it was so bad I'm taking the time to leave this so no one else makes this mistake. Do not go to this restaurant. First we got a Cesar salad that had no dressing on it. The I got a 6 oz Sirloin it had 0 flavor and was tough even though I got it medium rare. My bf got a 12 oz ribeye and by the time he took all the fat off of it, it looked like my 6 oz. Paid over $70 and left pissed off because the food was absolutely awful. read more

My steak was brought to me in room temperature. I complain to the waitress and she handled it very professionally. I was super impressed.. The manager brought the cooked steak back to me, and she started blaming me for ordering, medium rare rather medium. When I told her " ma'am I am not stupid this steak was cold rather than undercooked" she started accusing me of referring to here that she's stupid. Started a whole fight in the middle of the restaurant. I think her name was Angel. She was the most unprofessional manager I have ever met in my life!! It was a wait when I arrived but we got seating within 15 minutes. We got sat near the bar. We ordered some cocktails and they turned out pretty good. Ordered some appetizers, the Tonion which was okay. It was pretty crunchy and the dipping sauce was good. My wife and I split the Outlaw Ribeye and got a few sides. The steak was cooked just right, medium rare. After we got our entrees, it was tough to get ahold of our server, even another server that was around. I know it was busy for a moment but a lot of tables were not cleared around us, even the bar area for a while to a point that other guests had to move dirty plates aside to sit at the bar. First & foremost, the steaks are cooked to perfection! Depending on how you request your steak to be cooked. Honestly, the best cooked steak is medium rare. They do this true to specifications. It's literally on their menu. They will cook it to your liking; however, I cannot speak of any other steak prepared otherwise. Our waiter, James, was amazing. We dined on a Tuesday evening. James was awesome. He was very attentive and super knowledgeable. I couldn't have asked for anyone better. Thank You James! We ordered both the bone in rib-eye & the 6oz filet mignon with lobster tail. The 6oz. is tiny but it was a perfect for me. I believe the next larger is 9 Oz. The salads were spot on for salads. The shrimp & lobster chowder was delicious. It had very good flavor. Do not compare it to a lobster bisque. This chowder was a myriad of flavor and very delicious. We added just a hint of tobacco. My husband and I sat at the bar and had the delicious firecracker wraps as an appetizer. Our server was extremely professional and didn't miss a beat but she was almost robotic like. She didn't give us a lot of her personality which would have been nice but she was darn good at her job as a service provider. I had the sirloin with grilled mushrooms, it was perfectly cooked and seasoned well. My husband had a burger with bacon, not bacon I have ever had. It looked like it came off of a pork loin and not bacon strips, it was beef jerky like in texture and tasteless, but the burger itself was cooked to perfection and delicious . All in all a very good meal and the bar was quite quaint with just a few people. The waiting area was getting very busy though. read more

Terrible food, Requested medium steak and it came out med rare. The wait was not worth the quality of food.

A client took me here for lunch. I must admit that I was a little disappointed in the fact that we were eating at a national chain restaurants when there are plenty of good local restaurants in the Mobile, Alabama area. It also doesn't help that I have a longhorn roughly two miles from my house so I can go there every time. Well, I must say that I was in for a pleasant surprise. Since both my client and his wife what are the parmesan chicken oh, I figured that there must be something to this dish. Boy, were they right in choosing this. It was an excellent dish. For my side I want with a loaded baked potato. This was an excellent lunch. The chicken was very flavorful and you can't go wrong with a loaded baked potato. Service was exceptional. I must say that the whole experience was a positive experience. I would definitely recommend a visit to this restaurant. read more

The service was horrible. I sat at the bar and the bartender acted as though I was bothering him. I had to ask for bread three times and only received it after the man next to me received his shortly after he was seated and I brought it to the rude unwelcoming bartender with an attitude from hades attention. My order of lamb chops was brought out blacker than midnight. I sent it back and the second order was still overcooked and blackened. I reheated it in the microwave for 30 seconds and my daughter asked what was the burning smell. I couldn't eat the crap needless to say. $76 on a takeout meal just wasted. For starters our server was Joye, anything but a Joy. Our party of 2 (which was on the wait list) came early and were seated really promptly which was a great surprise. While walking through the restaurant to our table I rapidly understood why...not busy for a Saturday at 6pm possibly due to the fair and other activities in town. Ok I thought, experience will be really awesome since we could be "catered to" a bit more than usual since I told the server it was my husbands birthday. 1. I wish someone would take the time to teach a "hostess" to actually be one. Just grabbing menus and "literally ""RUNNING"" to the table without slowing down enough to engage with your customers and giving them a chance to catch up is ridiculous. Some folks are elderly or in a position that they have mobility issues, others are toting small children and it's cumbersome to stay caught up with the hostess (which has no other job except seating customers) which makes it sadder still that they have no time to devote to the folks that pay their paycheck. This is where the horror began. 2. After being seated we were quickly and I do mean "quickly" greeted by Joye. Already I sensed we were being rushed but I gave her the benefit if the doubt. My husband ordered the sangria and I ordered the old fashioned. It took about 20 minutes to get our drinks and her excuse was that the bartender had been on vacation and forgot how to bartend, basically. Faux Pas #2. 3. I specified "dressing on the side" for my salad...NOPE it was smothered in dressing. I should have returned it for a do-over however it should never had been served incorrectly esp. since she did write it down. On that note, husband ordered the steak med rare and it was overcooked. Again, we settled rather than sending it back, but you by now know the story. 4.Lastly, during our time there, Joye stopped by our table twice and before we could ever actually finish, she dropped off the bill. We took our card out and placed it on the edge of the table along with the bill so that she would hopefully notice it. Fast forward, we waited about 20 minutes (and she passed by our table an additional 4 times) and NEVER once did she stop. By this time we had enough so I went to the hostess stand and some very nice person (whoever was running the hostess stand) and NOT the one that seated us took my bill and I paid here that way. It was 45 minutes wait, so I just decided to go to the bar and grab a wine and ate there. My ribeye steak was amazing. It was cooked perfectly medium rare. The steak was juicy and tender and not mentioning the fats (YUM). Roscato was a perfect pairing with the steak. My baked potato was good. The service at the bar was great. She definitely took care of us. The next day I came to get a burger and a chopped steak. The burger was good. I'm very disappointed in the service that was provided by the waitress. She didn't come to refill our drinks or asked how were doing. She walked around the tables that were near us and refilled their drinks and kept asking how they were doing. We felt ignored and not appreciated. I did look at her every time she walked pass us to see when she will notice that I need a refill. I usually drink like 4 cups of water with my meal. This time I only had one drink. I was having a hard time finishing my meal. Service need to be consistent. read more

I would like to start off by saying this was my go to meal because it rarely disappointed. The past month they have completely struck out. The 20 oz Outlaw ribeye is the only thing I ever get. Twice I've had to send it back because it was way under cooked. Tonight we got take out and if I didn't live 20 minutes away I'd take it back and chunk it through the front door. Placed a pick up order. Was given a pick up time. Arrived two minutes before pick up time. Sat in car and waited an additional 45 minutes in parking lot, for food to be brought out. After paying with gift cards, was told one card would not work, so paid balance with Debit Card. After leaving, received a phone call from restaurant that gift card we were told would not work, did in fact work, and to come back and get it. What a Circus, no management apology, no incentive to come back. Horrible experience!!!! read more

Went on a busy Christmas party night. Was told it would be at least a 25 minute wait and the possibility of getting a table may not be available, due to the large groups. We accepted booth seating and waited. Roughly 10 minutes later we were being called to be seated and we got a table. We placed our order and the waitress was spot on all night, despite having a migraine. Our steaks were cooked to perfection and did not need any extra to enjoy. My husband had lobster to go with his steak and I got a taste, not a big lobster fan but this was good. We enjoyed our night and conversation. We asked for the bar area but were told it was full having 6 guests in that area. When ordering cocktails we also asked for water. Ordered app, drinks, and entrees together. Server brought out bread immediately, then drinks shortly after. LITERALLY AN HOUR LATER, our app comes out, which was fine. Then our entrees... 1) burger cooked medium came out medium on one end and well-done on the other. 2) bun was burnt? Stale? Idk y'all- gross either way. 3) salmon so well-done on one end it was inedible. 4) soup was cold. 5) asked to speak to a manager... who decided to make excuses for each of our issues (!!!) Longhorn has some of the best cuts of meat I have ever had. I understand that they cut it there on site. Regardless, they know meat. They also have everything to go with a good piece of meat. The salads are always fresh, and the sides (broccoli today) well prepared and well seasoned. One of my big favorites here is the lobster chowder. Muy delicioso! Give it a try- you won't be disappointed. One last shout out to the bread. Not unhealthy white bread, but fresh, whole grain bread. You can avoid an unhealthy meal here and still eat like royalty. read more

Very glad I chose to come here for lunch! My server Victoria was very attentive and sweet. She always checked on me and made sure I was okay. Even as I was waiting on another person. She didn't make me feel rushed and made sure she kept me informed throughout my entire meal. Even with my drink taking a little longer than usual. My food was delicious.
