We ordered the filet with lobster along with the ribeye and both steaks were cooked well, flavorful, and satisfying. Came here during the week for dinner because on the weekend they tend to get busy & they don't take reservations! For being a chain restaurant we always have a good experience here so we tend to go to the same location. We started with the firecracker shrimp which are always good with a little kick & they're very generous with the portion. My husband started with the Caesar salad, loved it with the generous shaved Parmesan & I had the chowder which never disappoints! Then for our entrees my husband had the surf & turf with grilled shrimp.... steak was perfectly cooked & the grilled shrimp were large, grilled just right! I had the salmon with Mac n cheese & broccoli, the salmon was some of the best that I've had for a long time also the glaze helped tin keeping it from becoming dry & the Mac n cheese is my little splurge... love it! Everything was great from beginning to the end including our server who even swapped out my glass of wine because I didn't care for the glass of wine that I originally chose! The worst steak I've ever had in my life. I placed a curbside order- arrived right before the designated pick up time, checked in. No response after ten minutes so I called the store letting them know I'd arrived. Waited almost 30 minutes AFTER the food was supposed to be ready, the woman who brought out my order was rude, and everything was cold and extremely salty. I ordered steak and broccoli with a baked potato. Even the broccoli was salty. My first time trying out this restaurant and extremely disappointed with both the food quality and service. We went to LongHorn Steakhouse this past Saturday, and it was a great experience! No wait time, so we got seated right away. Anna was our server, and she was amazing super helpful with picking out our meal and checked in on us frequently. We got the white cheddar stuffed mushrooms to start and they never disappoint. The hostess seeing that my mom had mobility issues and walking on a cane, passed several open booths and seated us in the very back in a corner near the restrooms. We asked to be moved. We were then moved to a window seat. After 7 or 8 minutes they brought us bread. It then took over 40 minutes for our orders to come. Granted, there were a few large groups, but they were finishing up their meals, but we still took this into consideration. During our wait, no one checked in on us or gave us an update as to why our meals were taking so long. We thought maybe there was a shift change and our server went home. We tried to figure out why others who came in after us, received their food before us. Our salads came after we began eating our entrees, because we asked about them. Our server showed up after someone else brought our salads. I was never asked what kind of salad I'd like. The extra condiments never came. We just asked for to-go boxes. The server then stood over us while we discussed the bill, the tip and how we were going to pay. This was very odd and rude. The LongHorn Steakhouse on 75th Ave in west Phoenix has become kind of a go-to spot for us when going out, mostly because it nails the basics. The food? Always solid. I almost always order the rib eye with mashed potatoes. Perfect char, juicy inside, and the kind of portion that makes you wanna unbutton your jeans halfway through but keep going anyway The atmosphere is chill. It's one of the few chain spots that doesn't feel like it's trying too hard. The music's at a good volume you know loud enough to drown out awkward silence, but not so loud you have to shout over your date or server. The space is clean, booths are comfy, lighting is warm but not "romantic date night" dim. Now, here's the part that kills me to write: the service just... isn't great. Not rude or anything, just checked-out. It's like once you get seated, you have to start manifesting attention with telepathy. Last visit it legit took 35 min for bread and drinks and this was at lunch with maybe 6 other diners. We've had to flag someone down just to get soda refills or remind them we're still waiting for our dessert. It's not every server, but it's a pattern that has started the last 1.5 years. Too many visits where we've been ignored long enough to go from hungry to annoyed. And no amount of "great prices" or "reliable food" can fully make up for that so we hit up Texas Roadhouse down the road when it's open instead now a lot. If they ever get their server staffing and training right, I'd bump this up to a solid 4 or even 4.5. But for now, it's hovering between a 3 and 4. We still go because the food is consistent, and the vibe is nice, but every time I leave I wonder if next time we should just skip the frustration. Came in for our son's 17th birthday on a Sunday at 5, table for 5 and we were seated right away. 15 minutes later a waitress came to get our drink order and said she wasn't aware we were her table. We told the waitress we were ready to order already but she said it 'would need to wait'. 10 minutes later our drinks came and she took our order. 2 of us got the Parmesan crusted chicken, one with mashed potatoes and the other with loaded baked potato, 2 of us got the 6 oz Filet both with loaded baked potatoes and the last for the boneless ribeye with a loaded baked potato. 35 minutes after our order was put in the manager walked to our table and asked if the waitress had been by to let us know they were out of baked potatoes, ummmm no. So she asked what we would like as a replacement and we all said mashed potatoes- 15 minutes later our medium steaks came out overcooked on hot plates and no sides 'they were still working on the mashed potatoes' and the parmesan crusted chicken came out one with mashed potatoes the other with Mac and cheese?! Didn't order that but my son's friend kept it anyway and didn't complain. 5 minutes later 2 of the mashed potatoes came out- and finally we just told them we wanted to go boxes and to just box up the other mashed potatoes also as we would like to leave. The waitress says, ' so you would like a side of potatoes to go?' No, we would like the side that came with our meal that never came out, she then proceeds to count the potatoes on the table and says oh, I must have missed one. She leaves and brings back the check 15 minutes later and we finally flagged down someone else for to go boxes. Tried for a 2nd time. This time it was early before the rush. No wait for a table and the server was ready. We went straight for the food ordering 2 filets. They were cooked to temp, but I have to complain because I don't remember them having so much salt in their seasoning. It was hard to finish my steak because of that. My broccoli was over-cooked...almost too soft to eat and it too had a bunch of salt. The butter was good but not sure why the heavy salt. Only other complaint was too much dressing on the salads. We visited for lunch on 3/14/2025 with my family of four. I ordered my usual, but it seems like the food quality has declined each time we come. I got the ribeye, 12 oz, medium rare Pittsburgh style--perfectly seared on the outside and warm on the inside. However, this time it seemed like they just seared it briefly and rushed it to our table. After the first two bites, I realized the steak was cold. I flagged down a server since our own was busy, and I mentioned that the steak was cold. She said she would have a new one made, which I appreciated. A little later, our original server came by to apologize and informed us they were reheating the steak. I was surprised, as I thought it should have been remade entirely. When the steak returned, it seemed like it had been microwaved for two minutes, and it tasted even worse and was still cold. When our server checked on us, I explained that it wasn't acceptable and tasted like it had been microwaved. She apologized again and said they would take it off our bill. Longhorn has a great Outlaw Ribeye if you can afford it! Their prices are out of control. I won't be going back til Trump/Vance wins in 2024 and the prices come down. Longhorn need to take a look at the Red Lobster play book on what not to do if you want to stay in business. Red Lobster is closing more restaurants across the country amid its ongoing Chapter 11 bankruptcy process. In a bankruptcy filing Thursday, the company said it was rejecting the leases of 23 struggling locations that it had deemed to be a drain on its finances. It plans to vacate the restaurants by Aug. 31 2024. The closures follow the shutdown of 103 Red Lobster locations on a single day in May 2024. read more

My wife ordered the Filet ($25) and it was a great & was cooked perfectly- this is our favorite. I got the TBone & it was also really delicious. On previous visits I have also tried the Rib Eye & New York. Honestly, I love all their steaks! Every time I've left completely satisfied. Our party checked in and was told to wait an hour, but the host failed to take a name and only took a number. After an hour of waiting we asked when we would be seated and the host stated she has never "seen any of our faces before" and that we will need to wait another hour.
