I think this chain restaurant does steaks well. Sometimes one would believe that they will just pump them out and not care. At this location the chefs do care. And take pride in what they do. Yeah, here I am again at this establishment and from my prior reviews. It looks like about every three months and that's far far from the usual of me trying to get into Joe's deli around the corner but yet again today could not get a parking space in the lot and I could see there was no way even getting in the doors. so here I am at Longhorn steakhouse being served by Helen. The restaurant was rather crowded for a little before 12:30 and it usually is not so that's good news for them was greeted warmly and nicely and immediately seated. Helen was over-- took her a while cause unfortunately for Helen she was the only server for at least 14 tables of 2 3 and four people, but she did it with great reverence, aplomb and the best sense of humor I've seen in a while. And not one of the people I interacted with were acting rushed or rushing around or rushing me --yet another positive aspect of Longhorn steakhouse I usually order the same things, but I decided to try one of their lunch specials so I got the chicken strawberry salad and I ordered a side of their brussels sprouts cause that's the reason I go here or the one in Strongsville. once she got her Mojo going she was just cranking out the menus cranking out the orders bringing out the food, checking on our service looking at our drinks---- she was just stellar. I had a great lunch, which was exactly what I was aiming for today and then I went over to Westgate for a while but this was the highlight of my day. I keep telling you to go here. I'm hoping you're listening. We've gone here on numerous occasions and the service and food were AWFUL. We ordered the stuffed mushrooms and they came out and the server didn't even bring us plates. My mom's silverware had a piece of hair in it. My mom got the ribs and chicken combo and I got the steak and shrimp combo. My mom put her fork in the ribs to cut it and they were cold. She sent them back with the server. The manager came out with the same ribs she just sent back and said I want new ones and the manager said oh you wanted fresh ones so he went back the server proceeded to lie through his teeth and said oh no I through those in the garbage and the ribs sometimes came apart. He didn't ask me if I wanted steak sauce or ask my mom if she wanted another pop. Overall it was a very bad experience read more

Sure it's a chain and maybe the steak cooks won't be perfect but also the steaks here come with sides and is 1/3 the price of fancier steak places. Don't be too picky. The waitress was very friendly and was quick with service. She was also very nice to honor my request of providing multiple fruit slices in my water that made it better. We started with an appetizer of onion peddles which was very good. I ordered the T-bone steak with a salad and sweet potato. The t-bone was over cooked. They did remake it for me which was good. The sweet potato has butter and cinnamon and was delicious. The salad was also very good. From start to finish on a Sunday night we were there anywhere from 2-3 hours. read more

Came here on Easter with a large party and was seated promptly. Food was phenomenal and all of our steaks were cooked just right. We went there for a birthday celebration and we're truly disappointed when we mentioned it to the server she sent the manager over, who did nothing but apologize , when spending $150 for a night out you expect better service and quality of food and of course a clean restaurant ! The. Restrooms where filthy , and it took a long time for our waitress to remove our dirty " stacked " dishes,...hint , hint, we have been done with our appetizers. I was here last Wednesday for a quick late-night steak. I went back on Friday for a late-night steak. Both nights my food was amazing. AMAZING. My Ribeye was cooked perfectly the first night. The second one was served Medium rare instead of medium. No, you do NOT send steaks back and I'm glad I don't cause it was awesome. As someone who is VERY picky about his steaks, yes I select and grill meticulously, I loved this presentation. The broccoli is great and the baked potato well that's always good. Like that wasn't surprising enough the bartenders both days were really nice and attentive. This is a nice change because I never really cared for this place or it's service. Five star experience from start to finish. Thank God we got there when we did though because shortly after the entry way was filled with people. Appetizer. Wild west shrimp. Absurdly delicious. The peppers served along with the shrimp are a great pair Main. Parmesan crusted chicken. The 12oz portion was more than enough. Can't wait to eat the leftovers later for a snack to be honest. My fiance got the chicken tenders and even though it's a basic dish, they were cooked amazingly. The breading was not overpowering the chicken but more complimenting it. Desert. Peanut butter mousse on chocolate cake in a jar. Just a small sweet to split between the two of us. Perfect just to satisfy that slight sweet craving after a nice hearty meal. I've dined here a couple of times with my parents during visits home. This has always been an A-OK option for dinner. The service here has always been great. On my most recent visit the hostess was accommodating in placing us at a booth. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. We didn't go long without seeing our waitress and she properly handled everything we needed. The food is okay, but not anything I would come for again. Factoring in the price I would say it's acceptable. My steak was flavored okay, but not overly tender. My loaded sweet potato was bland, even butter and sugar didn't improve the taste much. Great domestic beer specials, the Tonion is a must order, and the bread is as good as the knives. Surprise! I'm not much of a steak person but my family goes for the Ribeye every time. Well marbled, comes to order, juicy and tasty. I went for their new Buttermilk Fried shrimp. Great meal. A little heavy on the breading for my taste, it was almost like a Tempura, but most would love that and I enjoyed it. The sweet potato with cinnamon sugar butter is my fave. I normally do not review chain restaurants, but we had such a good dinner on Wednesday night that I just had to drop in some love! I am surprised at how many times I visit a steak house and am disappointed with how my steak is cooked. That certainly wasn't the case at Longhorn Westgate! We were seated right away and greeted by our server Martha. We were hungry, so an order went in right away and just a few minutes later, food appeared on our table. We started with the Sweet chili Calamari. Wowwwww. The chili sauce was so good, my fiancée kept the leftover to put on his meal. The calamari were crisp on the outside, tender seafood on the inside. It was a good portion. As always, the bread was fresh and delicious. The salads are great too. It's a nice mix of greens with plenty of toppings. My 8 oz Renegade was honestly the most perfect steak I've ever had in a restaurant. I don't like my steaks with much pink, but I went with Medium Well today. It was a good call and this steak was cooked exactly how a Medium Well should be. It had just a bit of pink, was nice and tender, hot throughout and well done enough for me. It wasn't over-seasoned so I could actually taste the quality beef. My baked potato was cooked properly and served with ample butter and sour cream. He got the Parmesan-Crusted Chicken and broccoli and thought both were delicious. The chicken had a lot of great flavor- lots of melty cheese, crispy panko on top. We were both so pleased with our food and service and will definitely make this our go to steak spot! read more

My husband returned from work and he was all excited - "I found a LongHorn with hardly anyone there! Let's go!" So we piled in the car, looked for the Cabela's that was supposed to be 'right next door' and then we found it. The reason it was so empty? It's still being built! ha! Fortunately this location near Westgate was also close. We were seated right away and it really started to get busy after we were seated. Our poor server was running ragged, but she still remembered everything from drinks to apps to salads and entrees. We normally skip the apps because we get salads and bread but this time we got some wings and boy, were they good. The salad was also good, and the bread was warm and tasty. She even brought out a second loaf which we ended up taking home (excellent midnight hotel snack!) Then that steak - ohmy! I love LongHorn because they know how to cook a steak. I got the 8 oz. filet (the Flo) and hubby got one of the really big boys - the Outlaw, I think. Both were cooked to perfection. The meal was superb, the service was great. Not what it used to be, and we are most likely not going back. While our waitress was very nice and attentive, the food has changed. We ordered a filet mignon (medium well) with a baked potato. The steak came rare and swimming in a pool of oil, and it did not look like a filet mignon at all, more like ribeye. It went back to be cooked more. The manager explained what we considered a pool of oil is lemon butter, ok, but we still did not like it that way. They used to offer the Texas Tonion as a half size, they don't so that any longer, why not? The second dinner, Salmon on rice with asparagus was well done, although I would have liked the asparagus cooked more. We have noticed in general that all steakhouses have changed for the worse, and especially the meat has changed. You can hardly ever find a steak that is not marbled with fat, and that is not how steaks used to be. If I want fat in my Steak I order a ribeye! read more
