On Saturday night, we had the pleasure of having dinner at the Longhorn in Temecula. Our waitress Kaitlyn was amazing. We sat in the bar area and she waited on us and gave us really great service. We decided to have a couple of steaks and some salmon which all of it was amazing tasted very well. The wild West shrimp was simply divine. The corn on the cob was really really good as well. Good steak spot. Service and ambience: Nice staff and easy ordering process. Our waitress didn't know much about red wine so if the same happens to you, just ask for a sample. The restaurant has a good southern decor and vibes. Music matched the theme which was on point too. Food and drinks: A few decent options to choose from in each department. Their menu offers something for anyone. You can opt for steak only or full lunch/diner plate. I chose T-bone steak medium and got what I ordered. Really enjoyed the seasoning on the meat. This was very good! The steamed asparagus was very tender and had perfect texture. We also ordered BBQ pork ribs. Again, very tender and well prepared. There was lots of meat on the ribs too. Had not been here in a while but we found the food excellent again. Mark our waiter is still the best, efficient, suggestive, funny and pleasant as well as a quick waiter, always moving, bread refills, water etc! Longhorn Steakhouse is hands down my most favorite steakhouse of this tier of casual steakhouses. Compared to Black angus, Outback, Texas Roudhouse, etc. Longhorn always does a phenomenal job cooking their steaks just the way you want whereas most of the other spots tend to cook a grade more. I always get medium rare, and they've always been consistent every time I dined in. They cook it better than a lot of even the high end steakhouses I've been to before. The next star of the meal was their crispy shrimp which is also really yummy and with a generous portion. The staff are always friendly as well. We have enjoyed dinning in several different Longhorn Steakhouses over the years. And we were over joyed, when this location popped up a year ago. Darden is clearly expanding their footprint here in the Temecula Valley I-15/215 Fwy corridor. We have tried both their chicken and steak dishes, in our three visit over three months. The food is excellent. But as much as we like their beef offerings, they have outdone themselves with the Parmesan Encrusted Chicken dish. It is amazing! The quality of their meats are exceptional, too. For that reason, I tend to view LongHorn as a scaled down version of their Capital Grill, also a delicious foodie experience. Clearly their meat buyers have an excellent relationship with the butchers and suppliers. Btw, their Lunch portions are similar in size to their Dinner ones (see photos). Nice! On our most recent visits, our bill ran us about $21.00 each for Lunch and $35.00 for Dinner, plus taxes and gratuities. This place was very disappointing, visiting from out of town, so won't be back. I ordered a salad and it was so saturated with dressing it made it unpleasant to eat. I ate some of it instead of sending it back for another as I waited so long for the first one. Instead of the manager taking something off a $17 soggy salad she gave me a coupon for an appetizer for the next time we come. There won't be a next time. This place was not worth the money. It was my husband and I's First time here! As self proclaimed steak lovers- we had to try it! Service was pleasant and fast on a Saturday evening. I ordered a margarita and was surprised to see they brought not only the margarita but enough for three or more margaritas in an additional container. First time I have ever seen that! It was delicious! We ordered their breaded shrimp appetizer and were expecting the standard size appetizer but instead received a more than generous amount. When it came to our meals- the portions were just like the appetizer- more than we usually get at other establishments and needless to say- we both had leftovers for lunch the following day. We were in the area after enjoying the afternoon in wine village. Pro recommendation is to visit their online website and join the waitlist! This will tremendously reduce your wait time! We came over and got seated quickly because of this feature! Menu is great options and I had to order their signature steak, The Longhorn! Very pleased with how it was cooked to my liking of medium-rare. Brussel sprouts with honey just makes sense and a great side. Caesars salad to open the appetite too. Mi lady got one of the combo options which also has really good choices, so for her the sirloin with grilled shrimp was filling and great! I want to start with the outside looking in... seeing all those people waiting; i thought great 1 1/2 hrs wait for sure... just to check my wife went in and they said 30min... so we wait... 20 min later we are seated... our server Erica had our drink order and drinks on our table in under 10 minutes ... appetizer in 15... i was so impressed with the speed of service i wanted to thank management for a well greased operation...Once our main dish arrived I don't think they could have done more already to win my business... My husband and I have eaten lunch here about 8 times now, trying different things on the menu. My hubby likes the chop steak and it seems pretty consistent. And it's nice you can add a side salad for $1.99, which is much better than most places. I usually get one of their lunch specials, where you can pick a main and a side dish. If you get one of their "signature" side dishes however, expect to pay $3.99 more, which is a bit steep. The picture shows the brussel sprouts which are one of these signature sides and they were OK. Not bad, but not really worth the money compared to other versions of this dish I've had elsewhere. I do give high marks for the ambiance, lighting, decorations and music, which is why we keep going back. So many restaurants are in strip malls and don't really allow you to relax and feel pampered. The way I made it here isn't important. I have been wanting to go to Longhorn Steakhouse, to me their reputation preceded them. Well... It was a solo trip so when I got there I was offered a seat at the bar and was greeted by Adrian. He was AMAZING, he game me my menu and offered some suggesstions and I decided the surf and turf with a cesar salad and el lote corn. Salad check, El lote corn check... that's when it went downhill. The steak was supposed to be med rare it was not it wa overcooked for my liking and the way the meat was didn't seem right to me. Then the lobster wa dry even with extra butter. I was given the option to give it back but was on a time crunch so just took it to go. The level of disappointment ran deep. It wasn't overly expensvie but still not what I did pay. From the moment that we've entered the front doors, we were welcomed by two smiling hostesses, and we were given the option to choose a table within the main dining area. Almost instantly from being seated, our server, Desire, came by to welcome us, introduce herself, and ask if she could get any drinks going. Her affability and efficiency allowed us to receive our beverages and food rapidly. Complimentary crusty bread with a pillowy interior, 4/5 stars. This is similar to a freshly made pan de sal from a Filipino bakery, but the LS bread has less sugar, and the crust is toasted well done. Shrimp and lobster chowder ($1.99 add on to entrée): savory, creamy, and it had bits of sweet shrimp and lobster, 4.5/5 stars. White cheddar stuffed mushrooms ($12.49): rich and delish with a slight acidity to balance the flavors. This is a bargain for gourmet cookery, 5/5 stars! 18oz T-bone steak ($32.29): juicy, well-seasoned, and tender with that ever so pleasant charred crust. Perhaps they marinade and/or finish the steak with worcestershire sauce. Nonetheless, the T-bone was simple but executed perfectly, 5/5 stars! Side note, I prefer steaks to be cooked medium-rare, but this steak remained succulent despite that my family member requested it to be cooked medium well. Their lunch specials are available Monday through Saturday, which is perfect for those who are on a strict budget or just want a great deal. One of the options is their half-pound steakhouse cheeseburger, and of course, I go here on the only day that they do not have the lunch specials, lol! Seriously, it's fine and just another of many reasons to return. I've had the pleasure to dine at an LS once before in 2018 at the Mesa, AZ location. It was obviously a memorable and fantastic meal; therefore, I was thrilled to discover this Temecula venue while driving within the area. This was my first Longhorn experience. My go to for filet mignon is usually seasons 52. But this was delicious. I ordered Flo's Filet medium, Cesar salad no croutons cuz I do low carb, broccoli as my side which I never do because usually it is under cooked or tastes bland but this ooooweee I ate it first and got full! The lemon butter in it I had taken a pic of cuz I asked for a side and poured it over when I packed my broccoli and that's just because I'm extra. My husband ordered Parmesan crusted, chicken and a side of baby back ribs. You will see he didn't get the barbecue sauce on the baby back ribs because he also does low sugar. I tasted his chicken. It was absolutely amazing. Was that even chicken breast? Tasted like chicken thigh it was absolutely juicy and delicious!! he liked his broccoli as well. We didn't even have to add salt. The service as usual was top notch and the Caesar salad is an incredible deal as a meal add on. For today's lunch, I ordered the ribeye steak, medium rare. The steak was closer to rare than medium rare, but I'm not one to usually send food back, do I went with it. Where I take exception though was the fact that roughly 1/4 to 1/3 of the steak was full of grizzle and inedible. I should have taken picture, but unfortunately I did not. I did alert the waitress to tell the cook about the issue. I guess I should have alerted the manager as well; but based upon the price point that Longhorn sells their steaks at, I just decided to leave it at that. Highly recommend the berry sangria- it is SO good! We were starving so we ordered the "tonion" appetizer which was delicious. Onion petal, lightly breaded and fried- lighter than a traditional onion ring and served with a zesty sauce. We were very impressed. We each ordered a ribeye steak with a side. Really bad experience for dinner here tonight. We came with a group of 10 people to celebrate a birthday. One person in our group had a larvae (worm like) right on top of her steak. Attaching a photo. A manager did come over and apologized and brought a new plate out and took that charge off the bill but I've never seen anything like that and you don't really feel like eating much after that. I understand bugs may be on lettuce or vegetables, but they really need to wash their produce much better. The other thing that didn't go great was in the beginning we had a guest that has a severe peanut allergy. We wanted to order 4 appetizers and I asked our female server if any of the 4 appetizers we had ordered had peanuts or nuts. She said they had a catalog and I could look at the ingredients and check? I asked if she could just check with the cook or ? She reiterated with a little bit of an attitude that I could check the book (where was the book? Did I need to leave the table and walk to the hostess stand?) The way it came off was a bit rude and not helpful at all. She then brings the book over and my husband and I checked the appetizers and none of the appetizers had any peanuts or tree nuts except for the Strawberry Walnut Salad (which would be obvious). It would have come off way different if she had said "I'm not sure but let me grab the catalog and we can look together" Something helpful and not basically "You can check yourself". Just poor communication and tone was off. The male server was polite and apologetic and no issues there. I will also say the manager who handled the larvae issue was also kind and professional and I appreciated that she answered one of my questions honestly and directly - she was great. This was my third visit to Longhorn Steakhouse since it opened and each visit has been exceptional. I'm a fan of Flo's Filet, it's so tender and very tasty, like buttah. The meal comes with a good sized salad with choice of dressing, bread and one side. I always do a baked potato. One of my favorite things is the Perfect Margarita. Basically it's two and a half glasses worth. Shaken at the table and poured into the glass with the remaining libation left in the shaker. Each time I've been, every staff member has been amazing. From the hostess, servers and food deliverers. Friendly, engaging and knowledgeable. It's fairly small inside, but decorated cute, western style. I like to go for early dinners so I don't have to wait and they have a waitlist you can join that's pretty effective. read more

Removing 2 stars!! Ate here this evening wanting to wine & dine myself. I ordered a ribeye steak. What do I get? A NY steak. I love NY steak, except I wasn't feeling it today... I wanted a ribeye. I love beef and KNOW my cuts to the appearance, texture, and taste. When my plate got there, I noticed it looked just like a NY steak, so I told my server that it was a NY steak. She says "No, that's a ribeye it just looks like a NY steak, we cook it in separate grills and that is a ribeye"... I cut into it and tastes just like a ribeye. I call my server again to tell her it is a NY steak and she tells me "I placed an order for a ribeye and that's what you got!!" Thing is, I KNOW my steaks and this was not a ribeye. And bc I don't like to cause drama I did not get loud or angry nor call the manager..... but her service was extremely disappointing to say the least. Thing is: 1. If we have cooks in the back mixing up a ribeye vs a NY steak, they should NOT be working at a steakhouse!!!!!!!! 2. If servers can't even: A. Distinguish the difference between a ribeye vs a NY steak just by looking at it..... B. Listen to the customer's concerns that what I had gotten was NOT what I had ordered bc it was not a ribeye...... *then she should NOT be working at a steakhouse!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I only ate half of my steak bc I was already disappointed that on a day that I wanted to wine & dine myself, I did not get what I had asked for. Tried to correct it by telling my server, and she did not believe me that what I had gotten was NOT a ribeye. For future, maybe Longhorn needs to TRAIN their staff or idk, maybe like take some kind of match game or like steak names and appearances 101. For steakhouse staff to not know what in the world they're cooking & serving is really disappointing and when they don't believe the customer that there is an issue or try to address the situation is an even bigger disappointment. We love to eat here when we are in Temecula. I had the lemon garlic chicken and my husband had the filet and lobster tail. Mine was so flavorful and my husband was really pleased with his meal. He added the strawberry pecan salad and loved it. Our server, Dillon was wonderful. So attentive, friendly and got everything right. We recently visited the Longhorn Steakhouse in Temecula for the first time for lunch. And although the lunch special menu is rather limited, there are other delicious items on the regular menu. The service and food were what we had expected and the interior ambiance was quite pleasing. We were not rushed, the server was attentive, pleasant and helpful, and we truly enjoyed our time there. That said, the only minor hiccup was upon paying the bill. BEWARE that the "Suggested gratuity is calculated 'after tax' and before discounts." In fact, it is written on the bill. Therefore, I can't say that they are misleading their customers. They're not. However, I would rather calculate my gratuity based on the "before tax amount" since their "suggested gratuity" is nearly 2% more. read more
