I've been to this location a number of times and generally it has been pretty good; however, the last time I went there, it was uniformly horrible. The restaurant was barely one-third full, yet we waited almost an hour for our food to arrive. At the 30-minute mark of our wait, I asked the waitress what the hold-up was and she said the food would be "right out." Then we waited almost another 30 minutes before it arrived. My steak was full of fat, tough, and barely lukewarm, while the mashed potatoes were so cold that the butter barely melted for the entire time it sat on my plate. I don't usually review chains to often but if they are steak houses always have to give them a shout out for a good alternative! As far as drinks, they are not light on the Liquor! Which is great for those that like their mixed drinks a little stronger. The new bacon and cheese dip is delicious! As far as the steaks I feel as if they always cook it about 5 degrees under what you ask for. This could be because when the steak sits for a bit it continues to cook but I am more of a medium kind of guy and tend to get a medium rare out of this place when asked. Just had a meal at Longhorn in Cranberry Plaza. What a disappointment. Wife asked for Brussels instead of the sides that comes with the meal and we get charged for that! Kids k-way drink is small and get ripped off for $3 a drink. Probably 4oz. My salad was upgraded to big size, but lands up being the same size as small + chicken and I am charged $14. Killed in salad dressing and was not edible. Not a very pleasant meal. Probably not going to be going back. Thought it would be nice to help restaurants again but I feel it is better to stay at home for now. read more

It has been a long time since I've gone to a "chain" restaurant. However, for a friend's birthday, anything goes. The birthday request was for LongHorn Steakhouse in Wareham, at Wareham Crossing. My friend and I tried the Seasoned Steakhouse Wings for a starter. The wings came very quickly, but then I remembered this is a chain restaurant. Nothing wrong with that, but definitely an observation. The wings were smaller than your typical wings, but the waitress noted that they added a few extra for us, which was a nice gesture. The wings were very good. I ordered the beef tips and the fire grilled corn on the cob along with a Cesar salad. Everything was very delicious. I even had left overs, which could have been made into two more meals! There wasn't enough room for dessert, but I also had a Kentucky Mule, which was perfect to end the meal. My friend was very satisfied with her meal of ribs, which fell right off the bone. All in all, I was pleasantly surprised by Longhorn. We got a gift certificate for Longhorn's as a xmas present, so we tried it for our first time. Service was friendly, but a little slow. Everything we ordered was doused in salt, pepper and other spices. We had to ask for a new order of fries for our kids with no salt or spices. Unlimited warm fresh bread, salads are delicious and prime rib to die for. Thick cut perfect medium rare with au jus and creamy horseradish sauce on the side. The meat was seasoned just right. I have yet to have a bad meal or service from this restaurant or the Longhorns in Pembroke. I have had some bad service from the Raynham store though. I love coming to this restaurant all the time, the food is fantastic, has wonderful side dishes and appetizers. My grandmother in particular loves coming here for the steaks and she is a complainer of alot of steak cooked wrong at other places. I probably come by here once a month or more. I'm giving it three stars because the food never disappoints but coming from someone who's a bartender and has worked in the server industry for years, the service is awful. I don't typically grab a table, I'll go to the bar so this is pretty much directed at the bartenders. I'm not sure if they should put an extra person on but clearly one person can't handle it. The bar is always a mess, you sit down and get greeted 5 minutes later. Even a simple "I'll be with you in a minute" would make it a little better. It's no just one bartender either it's different people every time with the same slow work ethic. My advice; either put more people on or find someone who can handle the job. read more

Update Dec 4th 2017 My husband and I went there in the effort to save time since we had to be in the area anyways, and we were both craving steak. Based off of my previous experience there I wouldn't have gone if it wasn't for trying to eat quickly and local. We tried sitting at the bar but was unsuccessful, not because there weren't seats though but because after sitting for almost 15 minutes, we still hadn't even been greeted by the bartender. It was a little busier than maybe they had planned and there was only 1 on the bar so I didn't really have much of an issue with it. We went back to the host and got a table. The service was actually really good, our server was very sweet, friendly and was tentative. That's really the only reason they get a star, for her. They still have the good bread. We decided to get the stuffed mushrooms, normally one of my favorite app's at home or when we eat out. The mushroom stuffing was so mushy and oily that they were barely edible. It seemed as though the filling was all cheese, and once they cooked them the cheese just separated and the whole plate turned to mush. You need breadcrumbs In there! Being a steak house, and since we were craving good steak, we both ordered steaks. I got the Tbone, wasn't feeling the porterhouse and he got the filet. Both of us were extremely disappointed with the dishes. I ordered my Tbone to be cooked medium and once again it came out way over cooked. It was flavorless and dark grey. His filet (this was a first for me) had a bunch of fat on it! It's a filet, no one should be chewing un-rendered fat when they order filet. We have had one bad experience after another there and this was the absolute last time. Being local and convenient is no longer a factor for me. When the food arrived there was a mixup with our tables food and another party's l. They finally got all that sorted out and we finally got our food after half an hour. When we got our food I looked at all of the kids hamburgers and the presentation was horrible the top bins were just falling off the burger there were little to no fries on any of their plates. We enjoyed our lunch on a busy Saturday afternoon. Our server Anthony was prompt and professional. He brought us our drinks straight away. Longhorn Steakhouse is amazing. As the name suggests, they focus on serving all kinds of steak. Ribeye, Sirloin, T-Bone, Prime Rib, Flat Iron, Porterhouse,and the cream of the crop, so to speak, Filet Mignon. They are all cooked to order, from "rare" all the way up to "well done". My personal recommendation is the White Cheddar and Bacon Stuffed Filet. Cheese and bacon make just about everything better. For those not into steak, you can also get a variety of appetitzers, soups, sandwiches, seafood, chicken, pork chops, baby back ribs, salad, and other entrees Prices are on the high side, as it is a "casual dining restaurant" (for three people, each ordering a filet mignon and two sides, it was over $110 (that does include a tip). However, for the money, the food is fantastic. My steak was cooked just like I wanted it, and I was very satisfied. The bread they put on the table when you come in is also tasty, but don't fill up on it, save room for the good stuff. The only downside is, I generally like to have a soda with a fine steak, but they don't have any soda I like (I'm not a Coke person) so I usually end up drinking ice water. All the staff are very friendly, the host/hostesses, and the waitstaff. All in all, if you can scrape together the money, it's a fine meal. My Uncle D. took me out to eat for my 40th birthday celebration. I chose to go to my favorite restaurant the Longhorn Steakhouse in West Wareham Mass that is located within Cranberry Crossing. I know it sounds silly going to a steakhouse when I'm a vegetarian, but there is certain things on the menu that I can have one being fish. Our waitress comes over a very pleasant and wonderful woman she gives us our menus and asks us what we would like for drinks. She brings our drinks and I asked her if there are any other fish dishes like haddock; she stated they only have shrimp and salmon. She mentioned to me that this coming Wednesday there is going to be a new edition on the menu a lobster baked potato, she explained what it was and I was very highly interested. Today being Monday and the lobster baked potato was not being available till Wednesday, I asked if there was any way that the kitchen can make an exception. I also told her that I would give her a review on the lobster baked potato. She left our table to go ask the kitchen. And yes they made the exception. I also ordered the cheese stuffed mushrooms. I was extremely happy and pleased. Our waitress was great, I met the manager and gave him the review on the lobster baked potato. I thanked him. I told him how wonderful the lobster baked potato was and how great our waitress is. I told him I was a vegetarian and choosing a steakhouse is some what difficult for me.
