Baby back bbq ribs and Rib eye steak meal
Yong C.

Food is always good and so is the service. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We went on a Friday night for dinner and it was the best choice since it was not busy.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Strawberry side salad

[[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant interior is really great. Big and open while still somehow feeling homey.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]A small area of bar seating along with some hightop tables right near the entrance and a mix of booth and table seating in the rest of this large restaurant.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We were seated in a booth with menus by the host/ess and our waiter was over in a couple of minutes to take a drink order. Service was very good. Our waiter attentive checking in a few times and refilling waters. Our meals arrived in a good amount of time (as in not too fast or slow) and were cooked as ordered. Everything was tasty and fresh. I like the warm bread they bring to the table at the beginning too. Definitely a good stop for us.

Loaded Potato Soup

Not usually a fan of chain restaurants. Seems like a reverse Outback Steakhouse. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Decorated in a western motif.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The drinks are pretty generic. Tried a red sangria, it was more ice than drink. The bread is served similar again to Outback. Did not try the bloomin onion version they offer. Tried the stuffed mushrooms, basically cheese stuffed. I love mushrooms with anything stuffed in them. Had a surf and turf with the rice. Grilled shrimp skewers with a 7oz steak. Opened up with the potato soup and Caesar salad. 1 step above a Chilli's. The other meal was the Steak tips with mushrooms and mashed potatoes. Cooked medium. Credit to getting the temperature right. Overall a little pricey for a chain. Attentive service, plenty of available parking. If you're in the area worth visiting.

Wild West shrimp. This is only a third of the size

Had lunch Saturday 9/20/25 at the bar. We were greeted very warmly by the bartender Becky. She was awesome throughout our entire meal. We started with the Wild West shrimp-it was incredibly flavorful, crunchy and just delicious. Huge portion! We both had a lunch special. I ordered the crispy buttermilk chicken sandwich and it was the best chicken sandwich I've ever had. Crunchy, flavorful and it had lettuce tomato, pickle, and onion on it! My husband had the burger special and he said it was awesome. Both lunch specials come with a choice of soup, salad, or a side. Can't stress enough how friendly, professional and efficient Becky was. We will definitely be back!

T bone

We walked in and sat down right away at 3:15. We had some French onion soup fresh baked bread Awesome! Drinks came out in 5 they were delicious. Fruit berry margaritas, delicious! I had T-bone steak and a huge chicken salad. The waitress was quick fast n friendly. Prices were reasonable. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The atmosphere was quiet and spacious.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Pecan cheesecake! I'll be back

Rich, dark chocolate cake with a warm, molten fudge center with vanilla bean ice cream, finished with chocolate and caramel sauce

Have not enjoyed the delicious filet that Longhorn serves since Covid when we had to order take-out. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Little did I know that the interior is quite lovely as the last time that I ate inside there was prior to their remodeling.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Seating was determined based on my request and we were pleased that it was honored.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]We had a table that allowed us a quiet area to talk, away from a couple of large parties[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. Our waitress, Michelle, with her pleasant personality definitely aimed to please our every need. We each ordered the 6 ounce filet as our protein. One of us ordered the overstuffed bake potato and the other ordered the steamed broccoli and shared those sides, after enjoying the house salads. It was such a great meal. And then, even though we were satiated, we shared the chocolate molten lava cake which was delightfully scrumptious: Rich, dark chocolate cake with a warm, molten fudge center, served with vanilla bean ice cream and finished with chocolate and caramel sauce. It could not have been "sweeter!" And the waitstaff and hostesses also met that criteria!!

my 31 dollar steak
Kris W.

This was the first time we were here, and it will be the last time. I had a 31 dollar steak, it was tough it was supposed to come with two sides. I had brusell sprouts and broccoli. they managed to burn the brussel sprouts. the broccoli was not the best i ever had. My dad and i each had a beer. the beer was the best part of the meal.. i forgot to mention, the two side which were supposed to come with the meal . they charged me for one of them. probably the burnt brussel sprouts. They charged my dad, who had a hamburger steak an extra 3 bucks as well for a add on for his side dish, a asparagus that was too tough to chew. The meal came to $61.50 overpriced for what they served.

I had the center cut steak, was almost tender enough to cut with a fork. Very very good, expensive but good.

I found The Shanty on Yelp…read more The moment I opened the door I was greeted, by the owner, with the most upbeat personality and smile! She showed me to my table, brought a carafe of water, and welcomed me in. I was quickly welcomed by Sergio, my server, who shared the special and the soup of the day. Once I ordered my soda I took in the ambiance of the bar, new lights, and the rest of the restaurant. It's not a large building but they make every inch count. Now, the reason you're reading this review- THE FOOD. I ordered the Hot Honey Chicken Sandwich with a Caesar Salad. The chicken (photo below) was perfectly cooked, topped with hot honey, slaw, pickles, and ranch then placed on a soft brioche bun. The meal was reasonably priced as well at $33 which included tip. I will absolutely be back to the Shanty next time I'm in town.

The restaurant wasn't too busy, but there was a steady crowd. People were either dining in or picking up to-go orders. They offer indoor and outdoor seating, so there are plenty of areas to dine. The bartender was friendly and helpful. I decided to go with the seared salmon, Brussels sprouts, and corn risotto. Thankfully, it wasn't much of a wait because I was hungry. My food came out fresh and hot. Everything was really delicious. My only complaint was there were a few flies swarming around me, which made my dining experience less enjoyable. I spent most of my time trying to swat them away. The bartender even moved me to another spot, but they still followed me. While I really enjoyed my food and the service, it might be a good idea for them to invest in small table fans to keep the flies away. Otherwise, my food was tasty, and the service was great!

Somehow, every time I've come here, the experience has been excellent. I honestly cannot remember a single bad meal. This isn't a place I visit every week or even every month. It's more of a special occasion destination every few months. Part of the reason is that every visit turns into an event. We always go for the full experience, and by the time we leave, we're completely stuffed, happy, and already talking about when we'll come back. The quality of the food is outstanding. Everything arrives hot, flavorful, and expertly prepared. Whether it's one of the signature cuts of beef, lamb, chicken, pork, or something from the Market Table, I've yet to find an item that disappointed me. Usually, by the end of the meal, I've lost track of how many different things I've tried because I'm too busy enjoying all of it. One thing that always makes me laugh is the famous red and green card system. In theory, you flip the card to green when you want more food and red when you need a break. In reality, after a few visits, the staff seems to remember what you like. I've had servers and gauchos walk by with cuts they know I enjoy and offer them before I even have a chance to flip the card. That's not a complaint. It's actually one of the reasons the experience feels so personal. The service deserves just as much praise as the food. From the moment you walk through the door, you're welcomed warmly. Throughout the meal, someone is always checking to make sure you're enjoying yourself, asking if you need anything, and making sure the experience lives up to expectations. It never feels forced or scripted. The staff genuinely seems to care that you're having a great time. We usually arrive around 5:00 or 5:30, before the dinner rush really gets going. That timing has always worked well for us and allows for a relaxed, enjoyable meal without feeling crowded or rushed. Fogo de Chão isn't inexpensive, but that's because you're getting an experience, not just a meal. Between the quality of the food, the attention from the staff, and the overall atmosphere, I've always felt like I got my money's worth. At this point, if someone asks me where to go in Providence for a memorable dinner, Fogo de Chão is always near the top of my list. Fantastic food, exceptional service, and a level of consistency that is surprisingly rare these days. Five stars without hesitation.

I intentionally didn't tell Sean it was actually my birthday (which he forgave me for) but my wife had called and ordered me a dessert, which the staff recommended chocolate lava cake. I'm not a sweets guy. At all. I'm a steak and taters kinda guy. But this chocolate lava cake, I could eat for dessert all the time. They put a movie on and treated them like adults. Parents at the overflow tables. Was busy and we had a big group, but service end to end was very slow. We were 30 minutes early, seated early, and I can understand the from end wait. We ended up there about 3 hours all in. I had French onion soup, dry aged NY strip and a baked potato. The soup was not thin and brothy. Was ok, but not what I was expecting. I think it dried up in the kitchen with the croutons in the ingredients so it ended up pasty. The NY strip ordered medium was hard to eat. The middle was moderately better but was able to eat about a third of it. Seasoning forward and very tough/chewy. The baked potato wasn't fully cooked so basically ignored that. Also at my table was the lamb and the pork chop, and both were said to be very good. Other adult table was a mix of steaks, sides, and salads with steak toppers. Mixed reviews over there but more over seasoning comments. A few people got dessert and they looked good. Friendly but slow, expensive but mediocre, as tough to go back as the chew on the steak.
