I came here for the first time last night and I was very disappointed. The entire ambiance seemed cool and exciting but when I got there it was not a great time. The bartenders were super slow and never even greeted us hello. The bar wasn't particularly busy so I do not understand what the hold up was. They never came to check on us, we had to flag them down. Took at least 15 minutes just to get our first draft beer. I can say the food was amazing which is why I give it more than one star but the hospitality was just not there. The bartenders seemed to be more concerned with who I can only imagine is an employee who was off, or a mutual friend of theirs, as they spent the entire night drawn to this one guy. The place has the potential to be a cool go to spot but the service was horrible and made it not enjoyable. read more

Finally went to this place that's fairly close to home because a lot of people talk about it. First, the atmosphere is great for what it is: a neighborhood bar. It's really loud inside, so don't expect to hold a conversation. The TVs are perfect for a sporting event, there's not a bad seat in the house for that. Next is service. Here, things slide a little. We were greeted promptly at the door, seated, then ignored for about 10 minutes, during which the table next to us had people seated, greeted, and drinks delivered. After we got our food, we were again ignored, and both of us sat with empty drinks (never got a refill). Finally, food. We had the Reuben and the Philly; both were very bland. Edible, but ultimately "not good". The fries were at least tasty, but our sandwiches just ruined the dinner. Unable to recommend this place. read more

A hidden gem...this place was a nice surprise. Food was on point and so was service. Was a bit surprised by the night club breakfast vibe but enjoyed it; however that they had a kids bday party here and the crowd was less to be desired. Cool spot with nice outdoor seating, very open atmosphere. Great music playing on Sunday after the DJ was done. The service was fine, after the brunch rush it was not too busy! The food was very good! The salmon salad was delicious, one of my favorites right now. The salmon was a very hefty piece for what you pay for these days! Son got the Buffalo chicken wrap and he was pleased also. Kids pizza was enjoyed and plenty for the 8 year old. We will be back to try more and possibly the DJ brunch! read more

I recently went to Lookout Tavern with my boyfriend randomly on a Tuesday and it was the best experience i've had at a restaurant in a long time!! The food and drinks were spectacular, the berry mule was my favorite and I would recommend anyone to try it. The staff was amazing, always checking in on us making sure we were happy. I believe our servers name was Sarah, she had great recommendations on our orders. The manager was even so nice as to take our picture out on the patio. Made a reservation for brunch on my guy's birthday. Text reminders were great. We arrived at 10:15am and there was a DJ playing music. The music was so loud we chose to sit outside. Temps were light and they had a nice heater to warm up the space. My friend and I shared the 32oz ultimate Bloody Mary and the Buffalo chicken and waffles. So glad we shared, the Bloody Mary was just how we like them, a bit spicy, lots of pickled vegetables and good flavor. The chicken and waffles were amazing! Having had overcooked chicken wings the night before, this was delightful. The chicken was thick and juicy, tender meat, hot and cooked to perfection. The waffles were also perfect accompanied by a maple syrup with red pepper flakes. This was an absolute treat. I would definitely order these again. The donuts we got for the table, they were served hot and delicious. The perfect size for a taste and to share. The cinnamon roll Pancakes were soft and tasty, not what you would expect. They had a crispy cinnamon crust on the outside. They were good, but not something I would order again. The skillet was large, filled with flavor and crispy hash browns. The Cinnamon Toast Crunch shot tasted a little like Bailey's/Kahlua and was a fun shot. The pineapple drink was so full of flavor and good. I was worried because the reviews were mixed here on Yelp. I had an impossible burger with delish sweet potato fries Friends had salads and curly fries .. they enjoyed it. Hubby had a sandwich that had some heat... only negative he said "too much bread" but other than that good. Service was good. I saw someone complained that the staff is mask free... we welcomed that! Update: The Owner says the kitchen doesn't have space to make garlic parm for buffalo fries at 1:45 pm but they have regular French fries on the menu. That garlic parm and buffalo sauce must take up a lot of space. This just seems silly. Came in at 1:45 pm and was told I could only order breakfast items. I've been coming to Lookout Tavern since it opened and have thoroughly enjoyed the food and the service has been always excellent. My go-to order is a burger...they are big and favorable. I had the American burger tonight and it came out as a preformed patty (assumed it was cooked from frozen) and had no flavor. That's not the worst part, it was $17.50 for a crappy 1/2lb "brisket patty" that tasted awful AND they charged a 1.79% market adjustment fee to offset it the increase in the cost of goods. I get it if they keep the same quality of food but not if they cut corners and serve a less superior product. Super bummed and disappointed. I hope they go back to the original burger recipe. read more

Came in for happy hour and was a little disappointed at the beer offerings on the happy hour menu. Otherwise, everything was very good. I had the bacon cheeseburger and it was perfectly cooked (medium well, per my request), with the beer battered fries and a nice witbier. There was live music and it was actually very good, I really enjoyed it. Take a look at the taps in addition to the menu, there seemed to be beers on tap that were not listed on the beer menu. She served 4 other people who sat down long after w/o ever coming to me. Only reason I think she ignored me is due to the American flag on my shirt. Not a political shirt, just an American flag. We've visited this location more than 4 times now and always encourage our friends to go when they are in the area. It's mainly a spot we visit when we stay at the Hilton Phoenix Tapatio Cliffs during a staycation. The vibe is awesome and anytime we can play games while we eat, it's a BIG YES from us. They have tons of board games and card games to choose from and great patio space. We opted to sit inside with our family of 5 to enjoy scrabble, lots of TVs and good eats! We loved the Tot-chos and the pizza is great too! Service is top notch - always friendly, always helpful and actually great with the kids, helping get the food out fast. Just wanted to say that we have finally started visiting this spot -- wish we had started sooner. Staff very friendly. Manager Conner went over and above to get the WNBA game on a TV -- he didn't give up and we appreciate his effort. Hostess also was helping with that; neither of the forgot about us. Nice chill atmosphere on a Saturday afternoon. Food has been delicious on both visits. The lunch combo on weekdays is a good deal -- burgers were great on high quality buns. We also liked the dry rub wings "Dusty's" and want to try the other interesting sauces next time. Be sure to ask what beers on tap are on special -- we had $5 Stella on our visit. Final note -- I'm really happy they have made this location work. There were several different weird businesses here after Chuy's closed (RIP) and this one actually has lasted (even thru COVID). My family and I took advantage of a Groupon for the Lookout Tavern. A sports bar of sorts with attractive female servers and live entertainment. We went for their Happy Hour, which runs 3-6. they also have a reverse Happy Hour as well. They have a nice menu with craft burgers and cocktails flat bread pizza sandwiches and wraps. The live guitarist was very good. The food was great. I had the massive American burger, which was served on the softest brioche bun. I really liked it.
