Going to a World Cup party, thought about getting food from Lord Empanadas. Of course the hostess already had the idea and told me she already ordered pretty much everything on the menu from this place. Times three! We tried beef, chicken, beans and even their banana and Nutella dessert empanadas. I was afraid it was going to be too sweet but I brought all the dessert leftovers home. They were great. Naturally sweet bananas. Didn't taste artificial at all. The beef empanadas were definitely the most popular. I still prefer the flaky Asian meat pies but this is still good. The dough is quite dense. We had enough leftovers, my partner brought several savory for lunch.
Wow! Delicious! Everyone needs to try the empanadas here! I ordered the caprese sandwich along with some pizza, black bean corn, and apple empanadas! 5/5! Amazing customer service as well!
Yummy! I enjoyed how they had so many savory and sweet empanadas. I think my favorite was the chicken Alfredo but it was a close call. I'd say 4 was the amount for someone because they are pretty large.
Nice little empanada spot by the freeway in Monrovia. Only got to try the chicken and breakfast sausage (wished the breakfast one had more sausage) but the chicken paired with the hot sauce they give was solid! Definitely need to come back and try the other flavors!
Decided to try a Birria empanada and Breakfast empanada w/ chorizo. I absolutely loved how crispy and stuffed both of these empanadas were! It is always such a disappointment when place give you soggy tasting empanadas. The spicy chimichurri was more like hot sauce and neither of us enjoyed it. However, we loved their regular chimichurri! The breakfast one was better than I expected, but it didn't taste like there was chorizo in it. We think they may have accidentally given us soychorizo instead. The birria empanada was really flavorful and had great quality meat. However, the consomme was bland and didn't add much to the overall flavor. I ended up getting a local pastry beer from here, which I didn't like and was insanely sweet. However, it did kinda taste like a marionberry pie, which was impressive. 3.5 overall. I wouldn't say it's top 100 worthy, but it's not disappointing.
When you're 39 weeks pregnant and craving empanadas! The beef, spinach and cheese, spicy asada, and mushroom empanadas all hit the spot. And the filling is generous and not overly salted. The space is small, but plenty of parking across the street by the old train station.
Lord Empanada stays winning. Came back for a second visit and grabbed a dozen empanadas with six different flavors--perfect for mixing it up. The beef is just as good as I remembered--savory and satisfying. The birria is deeply flavored with a nice smoky richness. Spicy asada has a great zing to it, and the steak stays tender. The mushroom filling is creamy and earthy, the spinach is cheesy and comforting, and the chicken alfredo is rich, buttery, and melts in your mouth. Brought them to work the next day to share, and they still held up incredibly well. Everyone loved them--definitely a crowd-pleaser. Safe to say this spot is consistently delivering.
Chicken Pesto with mushrooms and tomato is delicious. Spicy Black bean empanadas are my usual go to but I also like to try their new seasonal ones, they are all yummy and freshly made to order. Chimichurri is so yummy and goes good on anything, I like it with their fries. Cheeseburger was cooked perfect with an egg on top, amazing. Staff is always super friendly. Truly a Gem.
Tried a dozen empanadas here and no regrets. (I think you do have to buy 2 min for each chosen flavor for the dozen.) Singles are about $3.95 while the dozen is $42 before tax. I'm basic and liked the mushroom the most, but be sure to eat this one warm so the cheese and mushrooms blend in just right. Don't forget to dip in the spicy salsa sauce and house made chimichurri! All the beef flavors hit the spot too: Reg. beef - had raisins but didn't taste them besides some hints of sweetness Birria - came with consomme Spicy asada - just like the taco but not spicy imo. Also tried the chicken Alfredo (white meat), and spinach and cheese (had unique herbs added, maybe fennel?), and the mixed berry cheesecake (good but can get a bit dense). p.s. Lord Empanada seems to be going though some construction/remodeling atm so parking can be limited to the street. But there's a public parking lot diagonally across the street.
Background On Visit: I've drove by this place many times on my way to old town Monrovia, but never tried their food until last Friday. Credit Card: They're accepted. Restroom: There's a small restroom is in the back of the shop. Location/Parking: Located between E. Evergreen and E. Pomona Ave. on S. Myrtle Ave.. Parking situation is a bit tough, but you can park along Pomona Ave.. Ambiance/Decor: Doesn't really look nice from the outside, but it gets better when you step into the shop. Neat ambiance with modern furnishings Service: Tonya was very nice, attentive, friendly, informative, and offered great suggestions. Empanada Of Choice: Had two empanada's ($3.95 each). The beef and the spring roll. Loved how it wasn't dense as other empanadas that I've tried at other places. The crust was crunchy and flakey. Their housemade chimichurri sauce was quite good also. They include 2 for every 2 empanadas. If you want more, it will cost you extra. Dessert Of Choice: Got the Triple Berry Cheesecake. Thought it was very good. Cheesecake lovers will defintely love them. Lord Empanada For Thought: Would love to come back to try their beef stroganoff ($20), Choripan or Tri-tip sandwiches, or other empanadas.
We came in to Lord Empanada to redeem our deals from the SGV passport. The offer was for buy any 6 empanadas get 6 free. An insanely good deal! I was excited to finally come here and try these empanadas. The location is on a busy street and parking is very limited. The alley is tiny and fits maybe 5-6 spots at best. Location has a handful of booths for dining and complimentary water. They sell their Chimichurri in a jar for anyone interested. The staff here were amazing. So very friendly and accommodating. I appreciated the time to answer all our questions and explaining our redemptions. Since we could order a dozen total we ordered pretty much what they had to offer that day. We saved $20 in total and the dozen empanadas came in a cool pizza box which each empanada in a labeled sleeve. All sauces were inside such as the chimi and birria consume + a hot sauce. They were deliciously addicting! Each of them was so unique with flavors. You can't go wrong with any choices. Their chimichurri pairs well. I loved the crispy edges and flakiness in each bite. Lord Empanda's style of empanada is one of a kind and memorable. If I had to pick a few favorites after the one visit. I enjoyed the Birria, Beef and Pizza. This place deserves more business fr ! tucked away on the side of a busy road, parking is pretty bad but there's plenty of free parking around the area and you can walk across the street towards. This place is sooo good! I'd definitely recommend getting their empanadas (emphasis in the name). They have a pretty good deal with buy 10 for $42 so great to split with a bigger party. Each one was so good and flavorful. the service was just as good, very friendly! I'll be dreaming of this place
I really like empanadas for a variety of reasons. They can be eaten for breakfast, lunch, dinner, dessert or for a snack between meals. Lord Empanada has perfected their selection. Not only for empanadas, but they have a full breakfast menu, sandwiches, and pasta too. This was my first visit, I ordered a variety of empanadas: Pizza (pepperoni, mozzarella and marinara sauce), Soyrizo (vegan), Chicken Breast with secret sauce, and Pumpkin Cheesecake (topped with a drizzle of caramel and powdered sugar). The size is perfect, full of flavor, I don't know which I liked the best. I can see why they are so popular. I bookmarked this place for a future visit to try their Chili Verde or Grilled Chicken Club, they also have loaded Chili Verde Fries on the menu (I'm drooling just thinking of this combination). If you like empanadas, you will love Lord Empanada! The shop is small and their parking lot is equally small. Inside the shop is decorated pretty cute. I like their seasonal decorations! While we haven't tried many thing on their menu aside from empanadas, I have never been disappointed. Our family usually orders a dozen and have a few leftover. Ones we've tried: *Beef - not preferred because it has black olives inside (too sweet IMO) & my family just doesn't like olives *Birria - my son loves this one the best. Normally birria is spicy, but this one isn't! *Breakfast - comes with egg, cheese, potato and choice of meat. Hubby likes meatless, son & I like either bacon or ham. I was not a fan of the chorizo. *Soy Chorizo - it's good and you should try it *Spicy Black Bean - also delicious *Chicken - it's just chicken and pretty good *Nutela - loaded with sugar and saucy, there's also some thin slices of banana inside They are always generous on the chimichurri sauces. It's so delicious and perfect to compliment the empanadas. The staff is always friendly and we usually don't have to wait very long for our order. read more
I discovered Lord Empanada via the 2023 Yelp's Top 100 Places to Eat (ranked #61) and stopped by here for a super quick lunch. [Parking]: Very limited parking spots adjacent to the eatery; however there's a sign stating extra parking spots available across street (SW Pomona & Myrtle in between gas stations). [Atmosphere]: Order at the cashier counter and the staff will bring food to each customer's table. Fairly casual dine-in setting with a cloth napkin, plate, and metal fork & knife. [Menu]: Empanadas include breakfast, beef, chicken, spinach cheese, spicy black bean (recommended by the Yelp Top 100 blog), birria, pizza, mushroom, soy chorizo, and apple pie (sweet). They also offer sandwiches and plates like beef stroganoff (another item recommended by the Yelp Top 100 blog). *** Beef (potato, hardboiled egg, olive + raisin - $3.75): Given all empanadas were piping hot and just came out of oven, it tasted pretty good. Not too impressed with olive + raisin dipping sauce. Spicy black bean (corn, red bell pepper + jalapeno - $3.75): Honestly it tasted just alright. Again felt underwhelmed with red bell pepper + jalapeno dipping suace. Apple pie with dulce de leche ($3.75): Can't go wrong with hot and fresh empanada, but the dulce de leche dipping sauce was slightly too sweet for me. *** While both apple pie and beef empanadas tasted solid, all dipping sauces were mediocre and I ate my empanadas without dipping them a second time. 'Nada Never Tasted So Good I've lived out this way for about a year now. I was already familiar with the area since I used to work around here, but something was different when I came back. There it was--a newer neon sign lighting up the night sky, as captivating as a TikTok life hack you'll never try but can't stop watching. But this time, I wasn't just going to admire it from afar--I knew I had to stop by. Lord Empanada had officially made it onto my Hit List (aka: the list of local spots I've been meaning to try). My sister and brother were joining my wife and me for dinner this past weekend, so I floated the idea of giving this place a shot. They were in. We were on our way. Alright, let's get real for a second--the parking situation? Yeah, it's limited. My advice? Park in the free lot diagonal (pronounced "diagnalo" if you're fancy) from the place and just walk over. Don't be lazy. Just do it. It's the most non-thinky, efficient way to get it done. Plus, feel free to double check me, but I believe the lot gives you a generous three hours of free parking--plenty of time to crush some 'nadas, including dessert ones (yes, they exist, and yes, they're worth it). We walked in (both entrances work--your call), and what we found was not just great food but genuinely great customer service. We ordered the Mix-and-Match Dozen, which blessed each of us with three empanadas--the perfect culinary freedom package #blessed. No one was held back. No one was forced into a single-flavor commitment. We were free to be our authentic, empanada-loving selves. Other places might limit your choices, suffocating your creativity. Not here. Now, let's talk about the real MVP of the night: the chimichurri. I'm telling you--it was so good, my brother-in-law snagged an extra container for me on the way out. This cute empanada shop is right off the 210 freeway next to the wizard of bras. There is a small lot with few spaces so street parking a block or two away is the safest bet. We ordered a different variety of empanadas: spinach and cheese, pizza, birria, chicken, and apple pie. My favorites were the birria, pizza, and apple pie. The empanada dough has the perfect consistency but some of the filling had left more to be desired. It was still decent and I enjoyed them. Service is great and I love how they label the different empanadas and automatically include dipping sauces as well. read more

Bought 2 dozen empanada to try all their varieties with the family. The crust was so flaky and yummy. I will be back especially for the birra but they were all yummy. Note: I only featured a few that I had plated in the picture. Service was exceptional. They were very nice, friendly and patience as I chose my empanadas and even gave suggestions as I informed them of my preferences. The interior is small and decorated accordingly. It's more suitable as fast casual dining. So no large parties nor a reservations type of place. Restroom is tiny and outside of the restaurant. Very little parking in their tiny lot. read more

Lord Empanada serves Argentine style Empanadas which have cousins throughout the world such as the Phillipines and other former Spanish colonies, India (Samosa). Australia, New Zealand, Jamaica all former British colonies often call them Pasties. Lord fries their Empanadas which, to me, creates a drier, denser, tougher crust especially where the dough is crimped to give a thick, hard, desicated, unsophisticated mouthfeel. I tend to like the Filipino style where the dough is slightly sweetened and baked with an egg wash to create a more cakey, softer, mouth pleasing, shinier finish. I deliberately chose meat based Empanadas here since many times I've experienced that vegan based foods can be bland. Service here is efficient and thoughtful. I bought 6 different empanadas, and inside the paper box flap, each flavour was listed in the order that the empanadas were placed!!! Bravo for taking the time & effort. Each order is fried fresh so our order took about 20 minutes. The smart regulars know this so some phone in a pre-order. * denotes more tastiness in my opinion. The fillings are eclectic mostly from the Latin American cultural realm. 1) Pizza: Pepperoni salame, Salsa Marinara, touch mozzarella. Had a diluted pizza flavour and couldn't taste the "Parmigian". Rather dry and only a verisimilitude of what a good pizza should be. *2) Al Pastor: Mildly sweet, fruity red chile sauce with a bit of piquancy. Chicken is meaty moist. *3) Chicken Fajita: red & green peppers agrodolce/sweet-sour, meaty moist 4) Spicy Carne Asada: Beef is a bit dry. What is it meant by spicy? Not particularly chile piquant; not hot spices like cinnamon, cloves, allspice. 5) Birria: Soft, moist, fibrous like braised pot roast. Light flavour of possibly herbs like thyme. Bland 6) Beef: Mildly sweet, beefiness. Precision diced micro-cubes of al dente potato possibly sautéed in oil. Unfortunately, many of the Empanada fillings lack a satisfying Umami. 1-6a) Sauces: *Chimichurri is a complex mélange of good quality, buttery olive oil with addition of garlic, oregano, thyme, parsley, etc. Red Chile Salsa reminds me of Salvadorean salsa for Pupusa...watery, mild, no piquancy. **"Spicy Tan Sauce" flavour & piquancy of Habanero chile peppers, touch citrus fruity, black peppery, bit of Umami, good acidity, nice piquant kick. ***7) The Bread Pudding here is unique in that it is the perfect blending of bread and egg and milk based Flan. I can't tell where one ends and the other one begins. The gradation is so fine. Ultra soft yet sufficiently firm, velvety yet dense. It's an elegant exercise in plush mouth textures. Good amount of vanilla to add aroma to keep it interesting. Addition of sweet, semi-leathery raisins here & there to add a counter point. It is such an excellent bread pudding/flan that it is worth the drive to Lord. Drizzling Grand Marnier, Amaretto di Saronno, Frangelico, etc. could make it even more decadent. Overall the Empandas are 3 stars, but the Bread Pudding and the pert, patient, informative, young lady server and other servers, who helped us, propelled my rating to 4- star. PS There is only what seems to be a "swamp cooler" which is good in that it is more energy efficient and hydrating. However, please fix it since it wasn't properly pumping cool air out on a 95℉ afternoon. Your workers and customers need to stay comfortable especially in the hot kitchen. read more
Finally got the chance to try Lord Empanada. It has been on my list of places to try for a while now. So while visiting some friends who now live in Monrovia. We went here for lunch. You order at the counter and then pick up your order at the counter. They have a few tables inside. It is a small place. And of course, I had to try a bunch of them. So we got a dozen to share and I took the leftovers home. We got a bunch of savory flavors and a few sweet flavors so we could have lunch and some dessert too. They have classic flavors like beef, chicken, and spinach and cheese. And they have different flavors like birria, spicy asada, spring roll and al pastor. They were great after re-heating them too. Since we only ate two each for lunch, I had 8 empanadas to take home. read more

Great little local spot. The empanadas were really good. We got spinach with cheese, breakfast, birria and chicken with potatoes. All were tasty. The oil dipping sauce adds the perfect flavor. Ordered from DoorDash, thus I cannot comment on the service, look, or ambience at the restaurant. But, I can say the food delivered was well packed, nicely labeled, with all the great sauces to complement each wonderful tasting empanada. Each empanada had a nice flaky crust outside with warm tasty filling inside. The filling was an ample amount too, which was great. I ordered the dozen in efforts to get a good taste of everything: Beef,Birria, Chicken, Beef, Breakfast Ham/Sausage, Pizza, Mushroom, Spinach, Apple, and Nutella. Definitely give this place a try you won't be sorry. It seems that they have great sandwiches too! read more

I remember coming here years ago when it was originally Tall Pines coffee shop. I ordered one of each mushroom, birria, and spinach cheese empanadas. I waited around 10 minutes for my order to be ready and the employee placed plenty of salsas inside my bag to compliment the empanadas. They were all delicious so I recommend when ordering to try out all the different flavors that are available. read more

I don't know why I haven't tried this place earlier!! I ordered on DoorDash cuz I was feeling lazy and it was the quickest option that wasn't fast food. The empanadas arrived hot!! Each one was so yummy. They were packed well, and it was easy to tell which empanada was which cuz they wrote it on the box :) the birria came with consume, and I got two other sauces as well. All of the sauces work so well with the empanadas. I love how filled they were. I was expecting the breading to be overwhelming but these were perfect. I definitely need to come here in person and bring a dozen home. The vibes seem amazing. They have some other unique items on the menu too. I definitely want to try the stroganoff next time. And all the many different empanadas!! I'm definitely going back here next time I'm in town. read more
Not a frequent consumer of empanadas but this place looked interesting so I had to try it. The parking lot when you first drive in is super tiny. You have to get street parking if you cannot find a spot in their little lot. The restaurant itself is adorable and really feels authentic and homey. The staff taking our order were super nice and patient. I wanted to try most of the flavors so I ended up getting: 1. Mushroom - love mushrooms but the flavor was lacking unfortunately. To me, a little too bland but the mushroom paired well with the cheese 2. Birria - the meat was nice and tender but this one also lacked in flavor unfortunately. Was too bland for me 3. Chicken - chicken was nice and moist, once again too bland for me 4. Spicy Asada - liked the spice in this one. Meat was a bit dry but this one was pretty good! 5. Al Pastor - by far my favorite. Good flavor, meat was juicy 6. Beef - just not spicy compared to the spicy asada. Same texture They gave us 2 sauces to go with the empanadas. The herby oily sauce was alright. Not really sure if that one worked well with the empanadas. The other burgundy looking one tasted great. Added a nice tangy flavor. The actual empanada shells were very fresh and very crispy. My other complaint would be that we ordered in person and it took over 30 minutes to get our order. I would definitely suggest calling ahead to place your order before coming. I'm so glad I finally got the chance to try Lord Empanada. After seeing it on the Top 100 list for Yelp and realizing I live so close, I knew I had to try it. Was it truly worth all the hype? Yup! I decided for my first time to go with something simple yet classic; the empanadas: 2 spinach & 2 meat. WOW! To bite into these was magical. Each empanada was so flakey and full of flavor. I thought the empanadas were stuffed with the perfect amount of filling. The chimichuri sauce was amazing to dip the empanadas in. 2 empanadas for lunch & 2 for dinner was the right amount for me. Since the place itself was quite small, I did take these to-go. But I do want to go back to dine-in and eat some of their other dishes very soon! read more
I've been meaning to try this place out since I've gotten recommendations from friends, seen that they've been nominated as one of the best eateries in SGV /ETC on Yelp, and it was one of the Yelp Elite Events/Experiences that I was a bit bummed out on not being able to RSVP too. We were getting ready to enjoy a meal later on, but wanted to pre-game and Lord Empanada is in the area, so we took this opportunity to finally try them out! The parking lot is a bit tight and if there are large trucks or cars there, it might get a bit tight, so if necessary you might have to park across the street at a larger shopping plaza. There's a decent amount of seating inside and the décor is cute, and also really reminds me of a "welcome home" feeling. They do have jars of their chimichurri sauce on sale, baked goods and desserts on display, and a fridge of beverages too. We got these empanadas: 1) Spicy Asada: -The filling is bistec (beef steak) with spices. -The asada has spices in it but isn't too spicy. To make it spicy, we dipped this in the side of salsa provided which gave it the kick to boost this empanada's wonderful flavor. 2) Birria Queso: -The filling is marinated beef and Monterey jack cheese with a side of consommé for dipping. -Generous portion of consommé for the size of the empanada for sure. This was my favorite. -The marinated beef was flavorful and moist and the gooey Monterey jack cheese really brought everything together. 3) Pizza: -The classic! We just had to get this. -Simply mozzarella, pepperoni, and red sauce (marinara sauce). Reminiscent of a pizza Hot Pocket. Good, solid order. Each empanada came out super piping hot with all the filling melty and steaming. Each one, wonderfully flaky on the outside with the perfect amount of bounce in the pastry. With our empanadas we had a side of consommé, salsa, and chimichurri to dip in and these only serve to enhance the empanadas since they were so good on their own! These are the best empanadas I ever had! I've never seen so much variety either. The ladies were so kind. I was able to order right away, pay, seat myself at one of the tables, and sip on an ice cold local brew while I waited for my friend. She ordered a variety of empanadas too, so we tried so many different kids. And the sauces! soooo good! Its parking is not really at the restaurant. We parked across the street and walked over. Lord empanada has been on my list of places to try and I'm so glad I did! Located near the 210 Freeway, parking is pretty tight in the lot but there are plenty of street parking nearby. The restaurant is small and quaint and a family friendly location. They have some craft can beers if that is something you're into. The menu includes options such as sandwiches but my friend and I just came for the empanadas. We split the dozen (~$45 with tax) and we each got: beef, chicken, and mushroom from their regular menu and then birria, al pastor and asada from their new menu. The empanadas are made to order so it does take some time. I would recommend calling in your order beforehand so you don't have to wait. Once we got our orders we devoured it! Our favorite filling among was the Al pastor! The meat was so flavorful and outer pasty was crispy. The chicken and beef empanadas are like the typical empanadas that are typically sold. The mushroom empanada was cooked perfectly. The mushroom were not soggy and had lots of flavor. The asada tasted as if I was eating an asada taco. The birria isn't like the typical birria tacos that you get, but is still tasty. Overall, we enjoyed the empanadas and I can't wait to go back and try other fillings they have! read more

I've been wanting to come here and finally got to try it this weekend. We got the tri tip sandwich with fries and 4 empenada (birria, al pastor, spicy asada, and spinach cheese). The empenadas is a bit heavy on the stomach after a bit since it is deep fried. TRI TIP SANDWICH (4/5) - The sandwich was good, but I really like the soft bread they use. BIRRIA EMPENADA (4.5/5)- nice soft juicy birria beef with some cheese inside. It has great flavor and dunk it in the birria broth. AL PASTOR EMPENADA (1/5)- I didn't like this at all. The pork taste in the empenadas doesn't work at all, in my opinion. SPICY ASADA (4.5/5)- nice beef chunk flavor of spices. Any beef usually works well in empenadas SPINACH CHEESE (5/5!)- Our favorite flavor here. I recommend this flavor when you visit here. There are several tables inside to dine in. What a local gem for Argentinian empanadas! So happy they have opened up during the pandemic to bring this delicious food to the heart of Monrovia. I enjoy bringing their empanadas to share with others at work and parties. They open early at 7am and make each order fresh! Because it is made (fried) to order, it does take longer than just a "point and go" type of place. However, you can always phone in an order to make the pick up more seamless. Probably some of the best empanadas I've had so far. I really enjoyed their beef stroganoff plate as well. The empanadas we tried out were the beef, birria, pizza, and mushroom. My favorite was the beef, which is one of their popular ones. Their bread pudding flan was great, but I'd like to try their plain flan next time too. Our friends got the breakfast burrito as well and it was massive. The service was very friendly and attentive, a very welcoming establishment. It can get a tad crowded when they've got a lot of people ordering togos, but area is still open enough where it doesn't feel stuffy. I COULDN'T run to Yelp quick enough! A friend of mine came into town this weekend from out of town, and had been scoping out foodie spots to check out on Instagram that are "in the area" (be clear, Monrovia is NOT in the area of where I live, but you know how out of towners are!). Lord Empanada was on her list and chosen as our spot for Saturday lunch, as it was centrally located between us and a couple other friends who live nearby. Oh.My.Gosh. How glad I am that she found this place! The location isn't huge, and has a very small parking lot. HOWEVER, there is ample parking diagonally across the nearest intersection. There are about 5-6 tables in their dining room that can probably seat 4-5 people comfortably, and half were open for my friends and I. You order and pre-pay at the counter, which also makes this a great spot to eat with a group of friends. Across my group, we tried nearly all of the empanadas except a couple, and they were ALL phenomenal! My top three favorites were the Mushroom, Spinach, and Chicken Fajita. I also ordered the Birria, which was also good, but not as good as the others (to me). They have sauces as well including a consomme for the birria, a spicy salsa, and a chimmichurri...YOU WANT TO ASK FOR AN EXTRA CHIMMICHURRI, TRUST ME. I ordered 3 to go, and popped those big boys in the air fryer two days later - STILL FIRE Staff was very friendly They have other items on the menu that we didn't try, including sandwiches and a few desserts. First timer! Ryan was the employee who made my day. He introduced me to the menu and specialty items of the day. I absolutely needed the Nutella and Apple Pie Empanadas. Freshly made to order under ten minutes! And it's a cute spot for a lunch date. Minimal parking on the property, but there's plenty across the street, which is a short walk distance from the establishment. After we finished with breakfast and shopping around I told my wife I wanna go to Lord Empanadas not that far away where we are and then we headed to get some delicious empanadas. My wife and I enjoy empanadas very much we try different style of empanadas from Mexico,Argentina,etc. The empanadas has expanded in many ways that have become very popular especially Argentina empanadas if you like bake or fried everybody has their favorite empanadas. When arrive at the restaurant the parking lot is very small then we step in we notice the restaurant is very small and there's a long line for ordering empanadas and there's a waited to get a table. When we were front in line the cashier was telling there's a 30 to 45 minutes waited because there's were so order then we decided to waited. We order chicken,beef,al pastor and others flavors. The empanadas cost $3.75 each if you like a dozen it's $41 a dozen. Our was ready we the empanadas were very warm fresh from the oven. They were very light and fully of flavors in the empanadas. We wer were eating the empanadas in the car if we take them they've ill be cold. Be sure make phone order it's going to take awhile if you want eat at the restaurant come early. This place is amazing! The empanadas are the best I've had on the entire west coast! The chimi churi might actually be even better than the empanadas! It's kinda hard to decide what's better!
