Loreto was a let down for me given the price we paid for Mexican food! The ambiance was moody but it was HOT! No AC whatsoever! I was so envious of the people sitting outside. They need to put ceiling fans to get the air flowing. We had 2 appetizers the aguachile Rojo and the Ceviche Magdalena. Both outstanding in flavor and quantity. Now we had the tostadas CDMX and Highland. Both overpriced and not really good. It's like eating poke with a mayo overload. Plus for a small tostada you're paying $28! Hardly a main entree! We also ordered their corn side which again was severely overpriced for what it was. The drinks were good and strong though. Service was cold and matter of fact, no warmth. Would I come back? Probably Not, It's a one and done for me unfortunately.
The food was AMAZING, location was a little iffy, valet was full (on a Thursday at 8 pm), so we made do with street parking. The inside was gorgeous. You would NEVER suspect something like that was inside. The hostess was so cute! Our server wasn't friendly, but there was a second gal who was much friendlier. The tower was delicious! The croquettes were a fave as well. Branzino was pretty good, but the rice on the side was uncooked. Overall, 4/5. I'd give it another shot, though.
Tucked in a quiet suburban neighborhood in Frogtown is an upscale yet approachable, vast indoor-outdoor dining room serving delicious Baja Californian and Mexican seafood. The aesthetic is modern, impressive, and inviting - perfect for date night or large groups. There is a giant bar in the indoor dining room serving up a wide variety of cocktails featuring tequila and mezcal. Every ceviche and aguachile was unique and new compared to what I've had before with creative choices of ingredients to strike the balance of acidity, sweetness, or heat. The range of the food and drink menu easily makes me want to come back again to try more. Service for our large group was quick, attentive, and friendly. Street parking is notoriously difficult in this small neighborhood, although valet parking is available for $15. Reservations are recommended especially for large groups and if you have a preference for indoor, patio, or outdoor seating (all are great).
Loreto has been on my list to check out for a while and I finally had the chance to visit! I made a reservation online which I highly recommend since it was pretty busy when we went. When we arrived, we checked in at the host stand and were then shown to our table. The restaurant has an indoor/outdoor vibe with the bar located inside. We started off with the oysters and the hand roll and both were good! We also had the aguachile negro and it was delicious! For the tostadas, my favorite was the CDMX. It was creamy and I loved the unique touch from the capers. If you love seafood, definitely worth checking out!
Tucked away in a random location but the space itself is absolutely stunning. Great aesthetics, large capacity and plenty of tables--honestly, a perfect layout for a company team dinner or group gathering. The initial impression before the food arrived was 10/10. The Service It was okay. There were awkwardly long gaps and delays between courses, which disrupted the flow of the meal. Seafood: It looks like they dry-age their seafood. The Taste: The sauces themselves were solid. However, if you're not a fan of that distinct, sharp/pungent tang that sometimes comes with aged seafood, it might miss the mark for you. Personally, that specific note was a bit of a letdown. Visually beautiful with a lot of potential for group events, but the execution on service timing and the specific seafood profile left me a bit disappointed. 3.5/5.
What a vibe! I came here on a whim for July 4th because my friend and I were looking for somewhere to dine to use her Chase Sapphire Reserve Credits that had food we both liked. We settled on this because it had both seafood and pasta. A bit of a strange combination especially because most of the menu is elevated Mexican/seafood. They only have 3 pasta dishes and the seafood is definitely better, but I'm not mad at the option. I'm glad we chose the patio seating because although the inside is gorgeous, the back patio achieves a level of chill that many LA patios try to do and fail. The main thing was that the tables didn't feel too crowded and there was still so much empty space that you felt as if you were in someone's backyard. Perhaps it wasn't too busy because of July 4th. The seafood here is def the standout. The highland tostada was my fave- delicious, with fresh avocado, crunchy tostada, and succulent crab. The Atun picante, or spicy tuna crispy rice, was ruined by whatever sour sauce they put on it. Texture of the crispy rice was perfect but we both agreed the sauce was too much. Tortellini came out more al dente than we were used to, but piping hot filling, and was pretty tasty. The LA churros with yuzu sauce we could have done without- hot and fresh but dry and thin. The Carajillo dessert was the savior- nutty, rich, and decadent without being too sweet. Drinks were decently strong alcohol wise but we thought they could have used a bit more flavor. Overall I think this is a great place to come for the patio but was pleasantly surprised the food was also good. Will be back for drinks, more seafood, and dessert!
First date approved! The space was absolutely gorgeous and welcomes both a friendly and romantic visit. Food is great, but portions were small given the price point. Drinks were strong and well worth its price. Felt a bit stuffy inside, wish there were fans or that the doors were closed. Honestly, the other reviews regarding their okay service did not apply to us. Our waiter was so welcoming and insightful about the menu that I feel it would calm down the nerves one may have for a first date! Would come back for a second date!
This was a great Mexican seafood restaurant in frogtown. All the items we had were amazing. My favorite was the aguachile rojo, ceviche papaya and branzino zarandeado. All the aguachiles were very good and lots of flavor with the shrimp and condiments though I felt the aguachiles Verde was a little flat. The ceviches were also great especially the papaya. The cdmx blue fin tuna tostada was great. The empanadas de camaron and the croquetas were fried well and tender on the inside with good sauces and condiments. The mejillones Tom kha mussels were also great especially the soup. The tortelli was very soft and tender with the lobster and the branzino zarandeado was amazing with the fried soft tender white fish with copious amounts blue corn tortillas. The drinks were very good and unique as I got the todo santos milk punch that had passion fruit and butterfly pea tea which was awesome. The staff was very attentive and gave great service overall. The atmosphere is very lively and open space. it just feels like a fancy cocktail place but it also feels like a lively family dinner kind of vibe.
This is an upscale Mexican restaurant in Frogtown, Los Angeles. I made a same day reservation on Open Table. Parking was free on the street but hard to find during dinner. They had $15 valet parking. The ground has small rocks, so keep this in mind before you decide to wear heels. The restaurant is dimly lit inside. There is a host at the podium. The bar counter is first come first serve. The greenery inside almost covers the place from looking like an empty warehouse. The outdoor seating is fine during sunset but otherwise gets really dark when the sun goes down. There are no views except your eating party. The menu was not impressive to me. It seemed like a place to share appetizers with a group. The price tag was also too high in my opinion. I only got the empanada and seafood tower. Seafood tower $95 - It looks underwhelming because they use a small tower. On the top shelf, the twelve oysters they shucked were quarter sized. I actually prefer small oysters though. I asked for hot sauce, and the hot sauce was the best thing I had all night. It was so spicy and flavorful. I added it to everything. The bottom shelf had the ceviche and aguachile. They brought a plate of 4 toastadas and a packet of saltine crackers. Shrimp empanada $19 - Hah, this was not worth $19. The empanada was chewy like churro. The shrimp was tender. The flavor was lacking. I added hella hot sauce. Gratuity of 20% is auto added to parties of 6 or more Credit card fee of 3% Bathroom available in two gender-neutral stalls. I can't see myself coming back.
Our visit was decent. The place was located in a unique location in a local neighborhood near a school. Loreto has a modern, rustic decor that was comforting. Some dishes were great; some were average. The verde aguachile had depths of flavor; citrus, smoky, and spicy. We really enjoyed it! Their agua fresca was also delicious that it inspired me to get another cucumber mocktail drink, which was not as enjoyable. The drink had a cloudy green colored compared to the same mocktail in nearby tables (seemed more watery/ice). We also got their branzino zarandeados but were disappointed with its accompaniments. The branzino itself was cooked well, soft and flaky on the inside and had a nice crunchy skin, but the tortillas, rice and beans were not even warm and seemed like they were just sitting out. We were hoping to get blown away given that it was the second most expensive thing on the menu ($75) but we don't feel like it warranted the price. Perhaps they could have added elements to elevate the dish and added more unique sauces, premium sides, and made sure the accompaniments were fresh. Our server was attentive but after a bit, she did seem to want to rush us out of the restaurant (maybe due to the fact that they are busy). Note that this place does not really do birthday celebrations. We came here to celebrate my friend's birthday but nothing was really offered or added to experience (even staff greeting or a note on our ordered dishes)? It was the same as the table next to us; we overheard a girls talking about her friend's birthday (also both of our tables had birthday gift bags for our respective friend). That was a disappointing aspect along with the average food. Average food with a high price. I, however, would recommend their aguachiles.
This location is so big and very modern and vibey. We sat at the bar top, but walked to look at the outdoor seating which would be perfect for a nice day or evening where the temp is warm. The food was good, I'd say there were lots of options for the dietary restrictions we had. I would say maybe missing a little flavor here and there. My favorite dish was for sure the ceviche and the cdmx tostada. Lots of flavor on those two dishes. The service was great. The real standout was the servers. They were so helpful and friendly and really were super attentive. The servers were 10/10. Last thing I'll mention is that there was a 3% charge for paying with a card which was weird, so just want to flag! Overall I'd give this place a 3.5 if I could. The location is fun and vibes are good, servers are so great.
My wife and I came to Loretto for our anniversary and were completely blown away. We eat at a lot of great restaurants around LA, and this one immediately jumped onto our list of favorites. The tostadas alone are worth coming for. We had the rock shrimp and the bluefin tuna, and both were pretty much perfect. Fresh, balanced, and just ridiculously good. The elote-style shrimp and corn was another standout, and then they brought out this massive grilled octopus that was absolutely incredible. Everything we ordered was a hit. The drinks were just as good. My wife had a nonalcoholic jalapeno and cucumber cocktail that was honestly as good as any traditional cocktail we've had. Really refreshing, complex, and clearly given the same attention as the rest of the drink menu. The space is also just cool. Industrial without feeling cold, with a great indoor-outdoor layout and a really relaxed Frogtown vibe. Service was impeccable all night and made our anniversary feel even more special. Loretto is one of those places where the food, drinks, atmosphere, and service all come together. We left already talking about what we want to order when we come back. Five stars isn't enough.
Tucked away in a residential neighborhood in Frogtown is a hidden seafood gem that teleports you to Mexico. Combining the tastes of Baja California and Mexico City in fusion with Japanese flavors, you'll find Loreto. The aesthetic of the interior is industrial meets the desert. My party of four came for a birthday dinner and shared the following: * todo la Bahia (tower): seafood tower with a dozen oysters, a variety of ceviche and aguachilies served with tostada. Great to share to sample items. Rating - 9.5/10 * Japanese Wagyu aguachiles: if there's one appetizer you should order off the menu it's this. Flavorful, melts in your mouth. Rating - 9.75/10 * Bang Bang! Tostada - crowd favorite amongst the guys on our table. Was enjoyable , but a bit too saucy for my liking. Rating - 7.8/10 * atun picante - their version of a spicy tuna crispy rice. It was good. Would I order it again? Maybe. Would probably want to explore more of the menu prior. Rating - 8.25/10 * Branzino: the start of the show. Perfectly deboned and marinated. Served with rice and beans, quesadillas, fresh tortillas, a variety of salsas, avocado, and lime. Definitely a great item to share. Rating - 10/10 * Carrots: we wanted to order a vegetable to share. The carrots had a Smokey flavor and complimented the labneh it was layered on. Rating: 8.5/10 Parking: there's $15 flat valet and minimal street parking. Service: 10/10. Waiter was attentive and provided excellent recommendations. Also changed our plates frequently and made sure the table was clean. PS. The Micheladas are a must for drinkers.
This restaurant is truly beautiful and tucked away discreetly in the streets of Frogtown. Reservations are highly recommended for a smooth dining experience. We were seated in the main room and had a nice view of all the action! They offer valet for a hefty price of $13, but we opted for rideshare to enjoy some adult beverages and avoid street parking. Our server was friendly and cool. He provided helpful recommendations that made our meal enjoyable. I have to tick one star because it was rather pricey to dine here when comparing the dollar to actual meal ratio. But with that said, the seafood was some of the most tasty and well-seasoned I have had in a while. I really enjoy their bright, citrusy take on delivering quality raw fish. They also have a nice selection of wine and the space altogether was an enjoyable one to be a part of. read more

I recently visited Loreto, a unique Latin/Japanese fusion restaurant, and it was a delightful experience! They have both street and valet parking for $15...the convenience was worth it. The food and drinks were bursting with flavor and creativity. We chose to dine inside, where the beautifully decorated interior provided a simple yet charming atmosphere--though it was a bit darker than we'd prefer. We ordered and shared the Verde aguachile, Magdalena ceviche, Bang Bang tostada, Camote Horneado, Cavatelli pasta, and Tortilla Tom Yum soup. For dessert we ordered Carajillo and of course the LA Churros. Everything was delicious and flavorful! The service was great. Our waiter was attentive and gave us good suggestions to order. Overall, a fantastic spot for anyone looking to try something different! read more

Food was pretty good, esp a grill branzino (enough for two or three people at $70). The smaller plates are a bit more difficult to share, although they push the sharing aspect of this restaurant and many of them are innovative and very good. But I'm removing some stars because of this new added feature: if you use a credit card, they will tack on a 3% surcharge for you to pay the fee that they get charged. It used to be 3 or 4% went to the kitchen staff but this is ridiculous and it's a very petty nickel-and-dime thing to do at an expensive restaurant. Having just traveled throughout Europe where credit cards are used almost everywhere, no added fees are charged. This is a terrible thing for a restaurant to do. Enough for us not to go back. read more

We enjoyed the Joaquin Tostada since it had a lot of tuna + avocado and the yuzu vinaigrette was great. The Branzino was a lot of food and good to share w/ 2 people. The tortillas were great. We thought the Branzino and Callo (Scallops) could have a bit more flavor. read more

Came here 2 years ago and rated 3 stars cause of the long wait and chewy af octopus. Came here again because we were hungry and nearby and now giving it a 1. Waited over an hour and half and still no appetizer in sight. Even our churros came out first. When I asked the worker he said we have to to go it because they're closing service, wtf. The tapa style food here is amazing. Love the Aguachile verde and the Ceviche Magdalena. Try the Mar-Esquites which is shrimp, corn, lobster mayo, chile, lemon and queso fresco - my favorite. And don't forget the Empanadas de Camaros - to die for. Excellent service and you can seat inside or in the beautiful patio with nice big trees to provide shade. Great read more

Superb! The service was amazing. The food and menu perfection. It's difficult to get to. Not much street parking but who cares. The presentation of the food and the flavor profile will knock your socks off. Elegant. The vide was cool. Drinks were overpriced but decent. However the food is the real star in the room. I went for my birthday and it was one of the best food experiences I've had in LA this is my new favorite. This place could survive in Santa Monica. Or on a rooftop in DTLA. read more
Loreto is legit. Everything we had was delicious. Started with Tommy's sour and the Oaxaca something? Lol I forgot but it's a variation on a French 75 and so tasty. Got the Tostada Mixta, which the shrimp and scallops were SO fresh and the salsa had a nice kick of heat. Also tried the empanadas which were fire. I could've eaten another batch of those. Finished with the Branzino, which we probably could've just ordered on its own and been satisfied! Comes with quesadillas, tons of tortillas, delicious salsas and rice and beans. Fish and sauce are to die for. Service was so nice and knowledgeable. Walked us through everything. Ambiance is perfect for a date night and shouts out to the architecture. Top notch restaurant and will forsure be back! read more
Oh my where do I begin. I learned about Loreto through TikTok and it didn't not disappoint! Made my way over and was pleasantly surprised with how spacious and beautiful the restaurant was, there's plenty of indoor, bar seating and even an outdoor space that is decorated with a desert theme--I really felt like I walked out to Joshua Tree! The food was amazing and offered a variety of dishes even with seafood only menu. All of the sashimi was DIVINE, I especially loved the Toro and Scallop. Mar-Esquite was delicious and overall everything tasted very fresh. We were a party of 3 and the Branzino Zarandeados was a perfect amount of serving, complete with side dishes to enjoy with the main course. The desert was amazing as well, was really excited to try corn soft serve and it was delicious. Can't wait to go back and try more dishes! Heads up that parking is a bit limited, though they do offer valet for $20. read more
FRESH FLAVORFUL DELICIOUSNESS! Everything about Loreto is deserving of a perfect 5-star review. The ambiance and decor is super romantic but also chill for a GNO. Sade music playing softly, tasty cocktails and special tequila selections and the food was unique and a culinary experience! Get the SEAFOOD TOWER it has basically all the cold appetizers. We loved the different preparations of oysters and aguachile, and their sauce that went with their shrimp cocktail was bombdotcom. My favorite dish of the night was the SWEET POTATO entree, such depth in flavor and texture! I could almost turn vegan for it LOL! We ordered all 4 desserts and it was all gone. You just kept going back for more! I'm going back for sure. We went on a Monday and it wasn't too full. Valet was $15 read more
There were a few really good dishes, but overall I was not very impressed with the food quality and the service. We had an 8:15pm reservation, arrived at 8:10pm and were told that we'd have to wait just a few, "grab a drink, you've got time." We head to the bar and order a round of cocktails, which were quite good! It's now 8:35pm and haven't been seated yet. I walk over to the host station to make sure she knows where we were at the bar, to which she replied "Oh yeah, I was just going to come get you." She had clearly forgotten that we were there and that we had already waited about 25 minutes. We get seated in the main area which was very hip, but so dark that reading a menu was impossible without a flashlight. Let's get to the food: TORO SASHIMI - 5 Stars. Best dish of the night, by far! A few slices of delicious tuna sashimi with a tasty dressing, almost like the ponzu sauce at Sugarfish. This dish comes out about 60 seconds after ordering it. AGUACHILES NEGRO - 4 1/2 Stars. This tasty shrimp and avocado Aguachiles was quite good and reminded me of a dish I had in Mexico City. TOSTADA A LA JOAQUIN - 3 Stars. I love fish tostadas, but the flavors didn't really work, and this had a very Mayo forward flavor that I didn't enjoy. ATÚN PICANTE - 3 Stars. This was their take on "Spicy Tuna Crispy Rice," and almost worked but just didn't quite get there. I wanted to love this dish, but it was a bit "meh" to me. MAR-ESQUITES - 3 1/2 Stars. This reminded me of Mexican Street Corn with shrimp, lemon, and a lobster mayo. One of the better dishes of the night. EMPANADAS DE CAMARÓN - 4 stars. I thought this was a pretty solid and tasty dish, and quite unique. The slaw on top of the empanadas definitely added a nice tartness and crunch texture to it. MIL HOJAS - 3 Stars. This felt like a Spanish version of a French pastry that I love, the Mille-Feuille. The texture of the puff pastry was nice, but I didn't enjoy the passion fruit flavor. I understand this is a hot spot right now, but I didn't love it and found it to be quite overrated with mediocre service that started at the front. read more

Another place that's been super popular later and now I get it. Loreto is serving some of the freshest seafood I've had in LA so far! Each dish is creative & loaded with flavor! This place is a simple yet perfect spot for dinner. Ordered the below: They had two sashimis that night - a yellowtail and a toro. Both of the cuts were perfect! I believe the yellowtail was $12 and the toro was $8. Ceviche Magdalena - came recommended by our waiter and is a must if you come! Tostada Kondo ($23) - (also recommend by our waiter) this had a wasabi aioli that was spicy as hell but the best touch. A must if you like spicy! Mar-Esquites - very simple - the elote asado comes on the cob - this one came in a bowl with the shrimp and lobster mayo. It just needed a bit more lemon. Atun Picante - the restaurants take on a crispy rice. one of my favs that we tried! Pesca del Dia ($64) - the branzino comes with black beans, rice, avocado, escabeche, tortillas, quesadillas, and salsas. You'll probably have leftovers for a few days. It's easily one of my new fav spots in la. Texted my friends saying how badly they need to try this place asap. Beautiful interior, the indoor/outdoor set up is perfection. Our waiter was so helpful and gave us all his fav dishes which we ordered and loved. So excited to come back here and try more of the menu! read more

A true hidden gem that's already all the buzz! And totally well deserved. Put our name down and sat at the bar while we waited but then just decided to hang out there and order our food. Great indoor and outdoor space which is very open and inviting. Again tried a little bit of what we could fit in our stomachs. - Ceviche Magdalena: fresh and sweet - empanadas de camarones: perfectly fried and that avocado crema was finger licking good - mar - equites: corn with lobster mayo is a dream - tostada pacifico: good spicy kick! -tostada a La Joaquin: A must. Flavor bomb - toffee ice cream dessert: Do it! How neatly the quality of the seafood is top notch. It just a melts in your mouth. Everything we had was amazing and I can't wait to come back for more! The bartender was very nice and gave awesome recommendations and the servers brought out the plates fast. When you're ordering raw food, don't expect to wait too long! They have a valet too so makes it easy if you can't find street parking. ENJOY! read more

Debated giving this a 3 or 4 stars, but I'll stick with 4 because it's good. Mostly everything was good, and nothing was bad. The only things great were service and the oysters. If you're desiring a place where you spend an exorbitant amount of money for a small amount of food with the typical LA high casual vibe, then this is the place. Otherwise, you'll find the same quality seafood for 1/4 to half of the price elsewhere (yes, also on the top 100 restaurants by LA Times list). Oyster quality here is amazing. Freshest I've tasted in LA. Tostada Kondo is a bit too heavy on the wasabi aioli and it takes away from the other flavors. Ceviche Magdalena has an interesting flavor combination with the honeydew melon (I liked it). The cucumber and avocado balanced the whole dish well. Pesca del Dia is way too pricey for what it is (market price the day I went was $80). Comes with 4 small quesadillas and a decent amount of rice and beans but really, you're paying that price for the grilled fish. Nothing incredible or special. read more

My wife and I recently dined at Loreta in Frogtown and would give it 4.5 stars out of 5. We're from Glendale, so getting there was a quick drive for us. Parking was convenient with street options and a $13 valet service, which operates smoothly and lets you request your car as you pay for dinning. The food was outstanding; we enjoyed every dish we tried. The Papaya ceviche was incredibly fresh and flavorful, and the tostada mixta offered a generous portion of deliciousness. However, the standout for me was the Pulp (Octopus on skewers) dish; it was absolutely divine. I would return just for that alone! read more

This place has been on my list and I decided to take my husband for a date night! The atmosphere was great - love the outdoor/indoor feel. Loved the rain forest-esque meets desert ambiance. It's the perfect spot for a date night or to hang out with friends. If you aren't a seafood fan, this is not the place for you. If you are a seafood/crudo fan, welcome home! We decided to try a bit of everything so we could get a feel for what we liked. Everything is totally shareable. We started with the 2 different kinds of oysters (blanking on the exact kind) and the scallop sashimi. The oysters were great and came with their own special sauces - they totally skipped passed the traditional mignonette and went with unique flavors. The scallop sashimi was super light and bright. We moved on to the negro aguachile - perfect amount of spice, smokiness, and acidity! I wish it was spider! We also had the leche de tigre, which was fresh and nicely balanced. I wish there was more corn because it gave the dish a nice sweetness to compliment the creaminess. I could have done with more spice as well. We tried a few cooked dishes also. If you're a fan of bang bang bang shrimp, you will love the tostada bang bang! It packed a nice punch, but I wish the shrimp was a bit crunchier. The empanadas de camaron were fluffy, and came with an amazing crema to compliment the shrimp filling. We decided to also try the mar-esquites. While there was plenty of shrimp and lobster, I wish the pieces were a bit bigger just to help balance the texture. Overall, this is a solid spot and I highly recommend the scallop sashimi, negro aguachile and band bang tostada! We asked for a dessert menu, but the waitress said she had to explain it verbally. We couldn't get a feel for what the desserts exactly were based on the descriptions provided. I wish it was on the menu, or that it was described with more detail. Next time we want to try the pulpo - which is a part of their larger dishes. read more
Loreto was amazing! We came here for date night and I was immediately impressed by the decor upon entering. The location is a surprise, as it is located in a residential neighborhood within Elysian Valley. Unless, you knew someone in the neighborhood, you could easily miss it. I found out about this restaurant through a "La Cha Cha Cha" distribution list. I'm glad as it's located right in my neighborhood. How could I resist making an immediate reservation? I selected "ceviche bar" seating as I love watching the kitchen staff and chef do their magic. The service was incredible with the chef explaining to us all of our dishes and even my spontaneous questions. It was nice to discover that he's "home grown" from Watts originally, but now residing in Alhambra. I love how the menu lists its items in Spanish and is unapologetic about it. You learn through your culinary experience if you're non-native Spanish speakers like us which I can totally appreciate. The culinary journey is just as impressive as the description of the menu items, which you can clearly see through my photos. But photos, don't do it justice alone. You'll have to dine there for yourself. Recommendations: I LOVED the Ceviche Magdalena and my husband and I both LOVED the Tostada a la Joaquin. He also loved the oysters that we opened with. We equally enjoyed our margaritas too and swapped the tequila for mezcal which made it more enjoyable in our opinion. The service was also excellent and tended to us immediately. As far as parking is concerned, it was valet and also street parking if you're lucky. Can't wait to return on a girls night to enjoy more of their menu items. My fiancé surprised me with a reservation at Loreto for an early bday celebration and it did not disappoint! Our server Joaquin was helpful and knowledgeable. All of the staff were kind and attentive as well. I also enjoyed the mid-century modern decor and laidback vibes/music. We had: Fresh oysters & clams Yellowtail crudo Tostada a la Joaquin (Otoro) Tostada Bang Bang (Rock Shrimp) Elote Asado (Elote w/Uni) Atun Picante (Tuna Crispy Rice) Empanada de Camarón (Shrimp Empanadas) Our favorites were the shrimp tostada and shrimp empanadas. Although the tostadas come one per plate, they are large enough to share and we left fully satisfied. I loved the Japanese twist on classic Mexican dishes. I don't love mezcal but the Hora Mágica was delicious! Our dinner ended with a surprise congratulatory glass of champagne from some friendly folks sitting nearby and delicious soft serve in the cutest cups rimmed with tajin. I finally had the chance to visit Loreto, and it absolutely lived up to my expectations. I started with a Spicy Margarita, which was genuinely spicy! For appetizers, I tried the Augachile Verde; it was a little on the sour side but still delicious. The Branzino, which I'd been eager to try, was incredible--it's the kind of dish that makes you feel like you're back in Mexico. I also ordered the Mar-Esquites as a side, which paired perfectly with everything. The outdoor, desert-inspired setting really makes you forget your surroundings, and the restaurant's tucked-away location in a residential area adds to its charm. The staff was exceptionally friendly, and our waiter offered great recommendations for first-timers. The portions are just right for two people. Thought we'd have leftovers but we left no crumbs. My favorite thing here was the Zarandeados & the atmosphere! I visited at night for dinner with my dad who has previously dined on their outdoor patio which he raved about. I want to go back during the summer time to enjoy a meal out there We tried a lot of things on the menu, most of which were good, but the branzino zarandeados was the best! I loved all the sides it came with. Each bite was fun to mix with all the different salsa, bean, rice, quesadilla, or tortilla options. The pickled onions it came with were amazing! Need that recipe All the food came quickly and the servers were very attentive and always walking around so they were easy to flag down if we needed anything. They were also quite friendly! Ordered soft shell crab taco, empanadas & agua chile negro. The chef at the ceviche area I believe named Adam offered amazing service it's nice being able to watch the food being made. Great experience. Didn't take a picture of everything but honestly loved the food and ambience. read more

I think so cause I seen guest with there dogs by them

i couldn't find one before i went and just tried my luck walking in to get a table. I think you have to email them for any questions.

There isn't one but I'd say "business casual" or fashionable for the vibe & ambiance.

Do they accept walk ins?
We walked in on a Saturday night around 7pm, no tables available but sat at the bar and enjoyed a wonderful night.

They have a window in the back with chairs outside that's open for lunch
