this place is kind of set up like a fast food restaurant atmosphere. This was recommended to me by a coworker who's eaten here before. They said the chicken was really good. I walked in. They just remodeled the restaurant. It's very spacious with seating and booths along the wall. Plenty of tables in case anyone wants to dine in. The cashiers are located right in the front and the lady was nice enough to answer any of my questions. It was my first time here ordering something. I ordered the whole chicken combo based off of recommendations and it did not disappoint. The chicken was not dry. It was cooked perfectly and came with marinated juices that went well with the chicken. My coworker ordered the Chilaquiles and another one ordered the burrito. I would definitely recommend this place to come try the chicken. I would probably come back to try something else on the menu like the burrito. it's nice that this is close to my office so I can just pick up my lunch and head back in.

Pollo loco comes nowhere near this spot! Want authenticity and quality. This place right here will have you wishing you ordered more tortillas!!! I'm serious order extra tortillas. This place is packed with flavor, that's just authentic. The portions are good the price everything really. The service is superb they have an amazing staff I think it's family owned. But they do a wonderful job and getting you in and out. This place is located on the east side of town surrounded by commercial complexes. So if you have never been it's probably because it's a gem in the middle of warehouses. Nevertheless this place it's a must. Their chicken en salsa Roja Tortas are also good here but I mainly come for the chicken! Be sure you order extra tortillas!!!

My bean and cheese taco came chicken

So I ordered for a friend and decided to get myself a taco also. I do believe it was miscommunication because I ordered three chicken tacos for my friend. I then ordered myself a taco. I asked if they made bean and cheese tacos cause I know you can get a bean and cheese burrito all day and night but bean/cheese tacos are not normally advertised. She said yes, so of course. It was a great surprise to me when I opened my container, it contained bean, cheese and chunks of chicken, which was interesting because my friend's taco was shredded chicken so I thought well maybe this is quesadilla, let me examine this and It was full on chicken, which was a problem since I'm a vegetarian. so my friend got a total of four tacos, to his delight, and I do not have a clue how the food taste at this restaurant maybe next time.

If you're in the area, headed to El Pollo Loco, and pass this place up, I don't want to know you because there's something really wrong with you... but seriously. The chicken is so flavorful, marinated, and juicy. It tastes like something you'd for real make at home. Meals come with generous sides and toppings. I got two 4 ounce salsa cups (one roja and one verde) and I didn't even have to beg for it like at El Pollo Loco. I even got chopped onions, cilantro, and lime. My grilled chicken was a generous exact half of a chicken with grilled jalapeno, grilled onion, and did I mention flavor? So if you're still headed to El Pollo Loco ordering a mutant Plum Island experiment and being treated like a red headed step child you won't like this place cause it's got real food, flavor, and nice service. : D

I absolutely love their chicken, it's my favorite dish to order here. Rosa is so nice and gives excellent customer service. She checks on us and brings whatever we need with a smile. My Dad said his Camarones a lá Diablá was delicious but my roasted chicken was super delicious. Their homemade tortillas are fantastic. The salsa & sauces are the best homemade salsas I've had at a restaurant. I feel like I'm at my Abuela's house for dinner. I am a very picky Mexican eater and drive from the Marina to come here. The dining room has very comfortable booths and they are always clean when we come. Will be back very soon.

That's my spot to eat pollo Norteño. I'm not a big fan of their rice but their beans are good, but best of all is their chicken.

I ordered the quarter bird with mild spice, fries, and banana pudding. The chicken was juicy and flavorful, and the mild spice level was perfect for me. It had a little kick without being too spicy. The fries were really good and seasoned well. I also enjoyed the banana pudding, which was a nice sweet treat after the meal. One thing that stood out to me was how friendly the employees were. Even though it was busy, they were welcoming and provided great customer service, which made the experience even better. Overall, I had a great experience. Between the delicious food and the friendly staff, I can see why so many people recommend this place. I'd definitely come back again when I'm craving hot chicken.

Winner Winner Chicken errr... Lunch…read more So we are always skeptical if there is way too much hype surrounding a eatery. However in the case of Howlin Ray's the hype is justified. The staff were super friendly and on point The Food: (A word on heat. They have 6 levels from Country with none to Howlin. We can take a decent amount of heat. I went medium and my son went hot. The medium was just the right balance with a nice burn especially on the back end. The next level, hot, was also really good and hit close to our limit) The Sando: a nice sized chicken breast perfectly fried. The chicken was moist but well cooked and the batter was seasoned perfectly. The slaw added a nice crunch to things, the comeback sauce added richness and the pickles added a brinney crunch to offset the goodness. The bun put up a valiant effort but about of the way through it gave up and the Sando became a fork affair. The Slaw: It was just okay, on the sando it was perfect, on its own, just okay The Macaroni Salad: Glorious, simply glorious. Whatever spicing they were using with the fries seemed evident here giving it a reddish hue. The the bits of dill, onions, and pickles helped balance the whole thing perfectly. This would be right at home on a North Shore plate lunch. Shake Fries: Perfectly fired crinkle fries shaken in that spicing they use. Dipped in the comeback sauce or on their own they were awesome. Banana Pudding: OMG so good. With the traditional vanilla wafer on top. Rich and luscious it was a perfect end to the meal. The only downside? This location is small and if you want to eat there there are only a few tables. Parking also sucked. Those thinks aside excellent place

For $12.99 you can get 5 juicy wings with a flavor of your choice, a roll, coleslaw, your choice of regular or waffle fries, and a soda. At face value, it doesn't sound like a lot of food - but the wings are a good size and the serving size for fries is mad generous. The chicken had a crunchy exterior and was super juicy & tender on the inside. I got the waffle fries cause Jade mentioned they crisp'd up better, which ended up being a spot on recommendation. My first initial thought walking into Chicken Koop is that it has calm party vibe... the reason I say this is because through our whole time in the restaurant, they were playing a lot of my favorite songs. For a second, I thought my phone had connected to their speakers, lol! Pictured below is the Fried Chicken Sandwich and the 1/2 Roasted Chicken Plate. The Friend Chicken Sandwich was so juicy and flavorful; the breaded chicken patty had a perfect crunch to it. The 1/2 Roasted Chicken Plate was also another delicious and great choice. The garlic fries were really good, and the nachos were nice and saucy. The rice that came with the dinner plate, however, was overcooked and mushy. Each time we passed by, it seemed like they were closed and or never answered their phone when we called to see if they were open. We kept telling each other one day we're going to stop by and see if they actually are open. So on Friday after exiting the freeway I made my way to Jim Dandy and saw folks going in and coming out. This location is in the middle of the hood. They have bulletproof windows once inside and this location is order and pickup, no dining available. I didn't see the menu until I was done with ordering. Which made it hard for myself. I seen the menu after I ordered. I walked out with 12 pieces of chicken regular not spicy. Corn fritters, macaroni salad, peach cobbler and a banana pudding. Once home we set up our table and began to devour our food. We were blown away with the chicken it is better than most places we have been to not saying any names. The pieces of chicken were huge fresh and crispy. The macaroni salad was just right amount of mayo and seasoning. The peach cobbler was wrapped perfectly not damaging the crust. The banana pudding was a little watery not sure if that was due to the heat going on in the bag as everything was bagged together. I immediately put it in refrigerator so it could get cold and become solid than running. I have no idea what there hours are next time I go in I'll ask or look for signs. There is plenty parking not that folks stay long. Food seems to come out in a timely manner. So parking comes and goes. I cannot wait to try there dirty rice and corn fritters without the powder sugar. I didn't get a photo of them as they got devoured.
