That's my spot to eat pollo Norteño. I'm not a big fan of their rice but their beans are good, but best of all is their chicken.

TRY THE CHILAQUILES! They are bomb! This is definitely my favorite lunch time spot ! Staff is friendly and food tastes great!

This place looked promising, as soon as we walked through the door there were a steady stream of customers and not just any kind, but of Mexican descent. That has to be a good sign! The menu has obviously chicken by the whole, half, or quarter served with beans and rice and some regular dishes often found at mexican restaurants like enchiladas, tacos, burritos, and a slew of breakfast offerings. Orders are taken at the counter and food brought out to the diners. It took a good half hour for our food to arrive. There was only one girl taking orders, packing the to go orders, and bringing the food out to the eat in diners. However, it wasn't just that she was the only worker out front but the kitchen was inefficient with preparing the food in a timely manner. I also noticed that their kitchen while seemingly ventilated because I could smell the grill from outside, was so dark and smoky inside. I felt really bad for the guy managing the grill. On to the food: the three of us ordered a wet chicken burrito, chicken nachos, carne asada tacos, and a carne asada sopa. My burrito didn't come out wet as ordered and when I got it back, the cheese was just sprinkled on top and the burrito itself was lukewarm. The hot red salsa was delicious though and had a great spice. The burrito was packed with meat and little rice and beans which was great. The chicken was nicely grilled but I kept finding little pieces of bones or gristle or just not yummy bites. The same can be said of the other dishes. The good part is the tacos came with what appeared to be home made white corn tortillas. It was very tasty and actually really fills you up. I think when they take the time to cut up their meat as to avoid the undesirable pieces and become more efficient, this place has a much better chance of making it. I didn't hate this place, but I probably won't return. read more

Los Tres Pollos (AKA Los Trash Pollos) had their Grand Opening last week and I decided to check them out. All I can say is that this place is GROSS. And the cashier's skills are probably the worst I've ever seen. I walked in and got their new menu. Prices look OK, their special is the 1/2 chicken with beans and rice for $4.95. I asked to sub the rice for macaroni and was charged $5.95 instead. The total was $6.53, so I paid $11.53 and the cashier pulls out a calculator and checks the math twice. I presume she never got a high school diploma. I asked why she is using a calculator to figure that my change is $5.00, and she says, "To be sure because the register isn't always correct." What a dope. Food review is below. First the chicken, the skin was burnt black! But if you look at the ends, you can still see blood! *Excuse me* anyone who knows anything about eating undercooked chicken, knows that samonella and campylobacter bacteria can cause diarhea, vomiting, fever, upset stomach, loss of appetite, chills and headache. *sheesh* Feeling like a risk-taking idiot, I decided to proceed and actually eat it. Taste... it was chewy, bloody and stringy. The inside had less flavor and was harder to chew than the burnt outside. The inside was also noticably colder than the outside. The juice was not clear, it was pink mixed with blood. The internal smell of uncooked chicken is also not good. The burnt end of the chicken smelled better than the raw inside. The beans were bland and tasted like they were microwaved. The macaroni salad left a brick in my stomach. They also threw a grilled chili and onions on top of the chicken, but they smelled like my dogs poop and I didnt eat it. There was a foil wrapper of tortillas that resembled cardboard more than anything else. If you eat here, there is a good chance you'll throw up before the undercooked meat food poisoning has chance to give you grief. Depends how strong your gut is on how long it takes before it rejects it, if it makes you sick at all. I didnt feel too hot afterwards, but my guts can take a punch. If you want to eat poisonous meat with crappy condiments, and where the cashiers are dopes, and probably where the cooking staff does not wash their hands and they don't make it a point to keep soap in the bathroom at all times then this is your place, otherwise... there are plenty of other places (actually anywhere) in the area that are cleaner and safer. Hell, I'll take AM PM over this dump. As I was driving by to get a picture of the store front, I see a guy gaging on the floor outside the restaurant. I think he was sick to his stomach and heaving (just look at the photo). After this review, I am contacting the California Department of Public Health. Dont be surprised if this location gets shut down by the health department! read more

A co-worker told me this place was good. So I decided to pick some up for dinner. The wait was not too long. When I got home, I opened everything up. The chicken was a bit dry. It also had a bunch of charred area, which is said to be carcinogenic. Don't think I'll be returning. read more

I ate here a few times when they first opened and loved the Food. Tried not only the chicken but the tacos with different types of meat (chicken, chorizo and asada). Really enjoyed it. They seem to have limited Parking so when I try to stop by for lunch, can't drive around looking for a spot for too long, so I haven't gone in a bit. Had some co-workers bring me something to go and I was extremely disappointed! The chicken Leg/ bone was bloody and the other larger piece was slightly pink. I cannot eat that! They really need to check the food before they send it out, this is disgusting! I will not be going back. read more

I was in the mood for chilaquiles so I went back to Los 3 Pollos for lunch. This time I got the chilaquiles and a carne asada quesadilla so I could pick at both and have a dinner ready for me when I get home. The chilaquiles were almost completely different, it was as if a whole different kitchen was behind it. Very strange. I'm not sure if one trip was homemade and the other was more canned, different chefs, different supplier, or if it was just the supply pains of a small restaurant, but it's not a bad thing. Today the chilaquiles had a much different salsa. This one was very red and a lot thicker and less watery than the other. The heat was also at a normal level, so now I say to everyone: go get chilaquiles! The chips were the same, which was good because they cooked them pretty much perfectly. It was topped with jack cheese instead of queso fresco, meh. Finally, today was served with one scoop of pinto beans and one scoop of rice. I really like the beans, they're definitely homemade and cooked just the way I remember as a kid. The quesadilla was a very good choice. It was simple, just jack cheese and carne asada, just the way it should be. They didn't skimp on the cheese or meat, either, and it was made in a large tortilla folded in half. It was served with two huuuuge grilled jalapenos. The staff were again awesome and nice and kind and polite. The speed was a tad slow just for takeout. I really need to try the rest of their menu.... Quick tip: their little paper menu doesn't have everything in it, make sure to pay attention to the window pictures! Like the asada nachos, which may be the next thing I'll get. read more

You're better off going to pollo loco or the los 3 pollos in Compton but I don't recommend it. Went here for dinner it's pretty pricey and very bland. Omg...the chicken was delicious. The rice was great. Love the chunky salsa which was not spicy. The green was good too and just slightly spicy. The red I haven't tried yet. The lady refilling the salsas said it's really spicy. The only thing wrong with the meal was the chili beans didn't have any flavor everything else was delicious. No more crazy chicken for me. Husband went yesterday got chicken . The chicken was good little burnt . We ordered 2 chickens with 2 rice & 2 beans . In each box only got 1 breast . The rice was greasy you could see the grease on the bottom of the container, the beans were so dry no liquid at all . As I get older I try to eat healthier meals. I haven't always been a fan of chicken, unless it's fried!! But I have tried several grilled chicken places and this is by far one of the best!!! I ordered the half chicken plate and the chicken was flavorful and moist, the rice was also delicious to my surprise because most Mexican rice sides are not very flavorful!! The beans were just ok. What can you expect from boiled beans anyway!! The corn tortillas were also a nice surprise they were thick and good. Reminded me of the kind my grandma would make!! They also serve the chicken in other ways, red chile, green chile, etc. I want to try the carne asada plate next as that looked good on the table next to me. My business associates and I found ourselves here after a nearby Italian eatery was too busy and we didn't want to wait. There were nine of us. We had various dishes from the 1/2 chicken with rice and beans, to the chicken tacos, to the Chile Rojo Chicken. Everyone was very happy with their food, and the chicken was very good. I had a side of guacamole, and it was very fresh and made with real avocados.The salsa was good, they gave us limes and roasted jalapenos and onions. Also, the people were friendly and entire bill for nine people was $84 (including a $12 tip). This is WITH drinks! I can definitely recommend. read more

Absolutely fantastic rotisserie chicken! I'm so not a chicken person but theirs is so moist and tasty with a crunchy, well seasoned, outer skin. I'm drooling already lol. They offer cheap combo's, perfect for a quick lunch. I had the chilaquiles last week, very good but too spicy for my taste. I choose the green salsa. Their servings are very generous. Ordered a chicken plate for delivery on a week day for my lunch.. packaging was great but food was not so good and the sauces they gave me were expired. My hot sauces for the chicken were sour and jelly. The side salad I ordered were old and you can see a lot of the brown. My chicken was really dry. I ended throwing it away after a couple bites. I didn't have much cash on me (about $4.00) so I decided I would start slow and order one Asada taco and one Chicken taco. They $1.75 each so I assumed they'd be a decent size. I was very happy with my first go around with this place the asada meat was nicely seasoned for my taste buds and the chicken was freshly grilled as well, but the kicker was the homemade tortillas, this put the tacos over the top for me.
