We kept saying, "They know what they're doing!" Everything we had was delicious. I had the chicken with mole (can't remember what it's called). It was the best Mexican meal I've ever had. Other people in our group had carne asada burrito and carne asada tacos and taquitos. All were very very good. We got all three kinds of churros and LOVED every one. Not at all impressed. I ordered the Amigo Burrito, add guacamole and Beef nachos to go. I asked if the nachos came with guacamole and was told they did so didn't order extra for them. I waited about 18 minutes for our order. Not worth the wait! The nachos were dry and very bland and had no guacamole on them. The burrito was just as bland and dry and did not have the guacamole I asked for. Instead there was a small container half filled that I guess I was suppose to disassemble my burrito, put on the little dab of guacamole and reassemble. My husband and I stopped in after a day at the coast with a very hungry 15 month old. The restaurant was very welcoming and clean. The service was exceptional and the food was delicious. The server checked on us several times and was so helpful. They even made a cat out of the sour cream on our daughter's plate. I thought it was adorable. We will definitely be back. read more

Seriously the best Mexican food I've had in Oregon so far. I moved from Cali last year and I missed my food from down there, not anymore I tell ya. This place is amazing I've only been twice so far but it's so damn good. Authentic fresh and super flavorful and I'm glad the beans are whole pinto like ranch style that's great to see. Stopped here for lunch, and very pleased! Authentic and fresh Mexican food. Portions are very generous: nachos could easily feed two adults, and the "wet" burrito was even bigger than the size shown on the menu board. Soft tacos were excellent, and reasonably sized. By the time we got out from washing our hands in the bathroom, our food was already on our table. The chips were fresh and warm. The salsa was flavorful. As were the burritos and tacos. Something has happened to this restaurant. This used to be my favorite restaurant in Florence. We were there last Sunday with a baby two small children and three adults. We waited an hour and a half for a food because they were cooking all the takeout orders and ignoring the restaurant patrons. There were people who left because they couldn't wait any longer and there were people who were clapping when they finally got their food. I'm not sure what has happened but this is not the restaurant we loved. Very disappointed as I have to find a new favorite. The owner, Poncho, needs to figure out how to organize the takeout orders and not ignore the patrons in his restaurant. If you plan on going there for dinner and you see a line I would not go in because those are people waiting for their take-out. read more

Good little Mexican place. The service was super friendly, the portions large enough. Although the Chili Relleno didn't live up to my high standard, the carne asada was very good and the (free) chips were yummie too (except for they were served without salsa, but maybe there was a self serve station...I didn't bother to get up anymore). DYNAMITE tacos!! Asada or Carnitas are both GREAT! We eat at taquerias all over the country and this place is on par with any of them!
