I ate here while visiting Santa Rosa for a youth hockey tournament. I had two al pastor and two chile verde tacos. The al pastor had great flavor. I only wish the salsa was a little hotter. They serve beer, wine and margaritas. read more

We have recently discovered Los Arcos not too far from our house and what a great place. Hubby goes for burritos and I am about taquitos. The good has always been delicious and very fairly priced. Flat out excellent. Took a chance to try it out based on the reviews, and it definitely lived up to it! Clean restaurant (and bathroom) with lots of cool photos and paintings, the owner behind the counter was friendly and offered great customer service, and the food was delicious and delivered to our table promptly. We all agreed they were some of the best tacos, nachos, and salsa we've ever had, and we definitely will be coming back when we are in the area. read more

There are really only two reasons I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5: 1. Because I didn't get a chance to try their chips. We came around 7:30 on a Friday night and they were packed...a great sign that the place is muy delicioso. But unfortunately they were out of a lot of things...including chips. and... 2. The McDougall plate that I ordered had rice that was cooked partially in oil So, it wasn't really McDougall. They were great enough to cook up a side of extra veggies to account for the rice, so I felt well taken care of...but I was really looking forward to the McDougall menu items. The servers tried to get a table for us as soon as possible with all of the crazy busy people there to order take-out and everyone enjoying their meals at the restaurant. The owner, chefs and servers were all very friendly and smiley. My husband ordered the monster burrito with habaneros, it was HUGE and spicy! Also, they have some yummy salsas in their salsa bar. Overall, nice experience with yummy food, I'll be going there again. read more

Staff was attentive and food was great! I ordered a Chile relleno and enjoyed every bite. Prior to our food arriving, we were given chips with "medium" salsa and I couldn't get enough of their salsa. I have to agree with a few fellow yelpers; the flavor while tasting fresh and healthy is lacking in flavor. I knew this going in so I choose the Al Pastor thinking that this type of meat is usually all about the seasoning. The pork was shredded which was surprising as usually it's chopped up in chunks but none the less it was appealing. The flavor was more to me like a mole. ....it didn't have that spice, that ZAP of beauty that causes your mouth to water and beg for more. I love the salsa bar and would gladly pay more at any resturant to have one but here again the flavor was slightly off mark. Bravo for a level of freshness that could be tasted though. Serive was beautiful. Extremely sweet and kind. I would come back but it wouldn't be my first choice. I know this is hard considering the area but this could be one of the greats if more flavor was packed in. read more

We ate here based on the Google/Yelp search that said they have the best caldo de res in Sonoma County. They don't even serve caldo de res! The only caldo on the menu was de camarón. It was not delicious. The vegetables were crunchy raw & it tasted thrown together not like a delicious soup that has been simmering on the stove. I ate the 4-5 shrimp out of it & left it as much as I hate to waste food it was just terrible and I couldn't eat it. My partner had an entree & said the tomato sauce on his tasted like Herdez salsa out of the can. The place was packed when we went (all white people). Furthermore it was expensive! Our meals were almost $15 each. No gracias. I'll give them two stars for the salsa bar which had several options. We liked the fresh pico de Gallo but it was very Americanized without any kind of pepper in it at all, just the fresh tomatoes & onions. read more

The food here is always wonderful. I have never gotten anything bad from them. They have a fairly diverse menu and provide a lot of options. They have a salsa bar so people can pick out their own salsas. The ambiance is nice. I frequent quite a few Mexican restaurants in the area and this is definitely one of the best choices. read more

Everyone in here is so nice and the food is always delicious! Today I went in to order to-go and they mentioned they serve breakfast all day, so of course it got me craving a good breakfast burrito. We live their nachos, tacos, burritos etc etc. but this was my first time getting a breakfast burrito from their restaurant. And it was better then expected!!! Huge! And perfectly done. Wow, I really loved this place! I went here last Sunday for a belated Valentine's day lunch and it was delicious:):) Ordered: 1. Fish taco combination plate ($10.95), subbed 1 fish taco for a carne asada one 2. Carne asada fries ($10.95) Good - Fish Taco: generous amount of toppings and fish, only thing was that there were a few pieces of fish (when out of the taco) that didn't taste that great, either because it had that overly frozen fishy kind of taste or it wasn't seasoned enough. Very good -Service (refilled my boyfriend's horchata for free and my water, too:) The host very friendly and the waitress/staff that brought us our food was kind. I could tell that these were hard-working people! - The carne asada! Delicious delicious. Super friendly staff! Very tasty food that's well seasoned (which is very hard to find in Sonoma county). They pretty much know us by name even though we're pretty new customers here. I even goofed and made a mistake in tipping and they fixed the issue and were very helpful in doing so. Great food, good prices, quality ingredients. Down side - salsa bar could be a bit better. There salsa is a little bland but that is just my opinion. BTW: my wife and I always share a super burrito or super nachos, that's how big the portions are. Keep rockin' down there guys, love your food! read more

This has become one of my favorite lunch spots. The staff and owner are incredibly friendly and accommodating. The food is above average taqueria faire. I really love the lengua. It's seasoned and cooked very well. My wife has the Chris Burrito every time. The little touches like a small bowl of warm received beams served with your chips really take it up a notch. I highly recommend you give it a try. read more

Fresh squeezed orange juice! The orange juice was a great compliment to my breakfast burrito which they made to my special order. The cashier was friendly and even came and checked on me a few times to see how I was doing. There are also a few tables and chairs outside for those that just don't want to be cooped up inside. read more

A friend took me to Los Arcos and I've been taking and telling others about it ever since. The best (by far) carne asada I've ever had. Super tasty and moist. The super burrito is my favorite. Pricing is very reasonable and portions are large. The woman who often works the phone and front end is so considerate and very helpful if you need a little help deciding what to order. I live 30 minutes away so it's a 1 hour roundtrip for me. There are other Mexican restaurants closer to me - but none come close to Los Arco's service and food quality. read more

Had the chili verde plate and the combo plate with shredded beef enchilada and carnitas taco. Chili verde and carnitas were the standouts for sure. This place is absolutely killer, I am a huge fan! I try to eat here as often as possible and ate there a few days ago. Here is what I tried. Chile Relleno - Crispy outside batter, delightful melted cheese in the center and a nice pepper with a little spicy bite. I would get this again every time. Taco Salad w/the works - I took this to go and deconstructed to eat later on and it was so satisfying. Every component was very well seasoned and this is perfect for a light dinner with lots of Mexican flavor, yum! They have a really great option a vegan/vegetarian section of the menu! I have never found this at a Mexican restaurant before so I was happily surprised. My kid only eats vegan so he had the McDougall menu and had the bean and rice taco plate with salsa and veggies, no cheese. He loved it and would eat it again in a heartbeat. If you are in the area I think you should stop in, especially if you have a vegetarian or vegan with you. read more

We are new to the area and have been trying out new Mexican places. We saw Los Arcos and were impressed with the amount of high reviews! Unfortunately, we were pretty disappointed. We order a chicken torta and fish tacos. Both were extremely bland and flavorless. We dug deeper into the reviews and saw that most negative reviews said the same. Meet the Business Owner: Cris O.

Cris learned about running his own business from his family in Michoacán, Mexico. Cris opened his first restaurant, El Patio in 1996 in Santa Rosa, CA, which is now being run by his brother, Sergio. Cris opened his second Restaurant, Su Casa, also in Santa Rosa, and that is being operated by his other brother, Jose. Cris took a few years off and then decided to open his third place, Los Arcos.

Our waitress noticed we were all dressed up and asked what we were celebrating and when we told her it was a bachelorette party she was struck up a conversation with the bride and even gave her a free cookie to take home. Things to note. Is located in a downtown area so only street parking but it's free on Sunday. The restroom is not located in the restaurant and requires a code which can be found in the restaurant displayed on a sign. Large parties automatically include gratuity.

We arrived a little early and sat at the bar to grab drinks. The bartender was friendly with taking our orders and handing us several menus. At the time of our reservation, I walked along the corridor towards the rear and spoke with the hostess. We were seated immediately (This restaurant is larger on the inside than it appears on the outside). Our server was pleasant and informed us of the specials they had on the menu. I went with the NY Strip, goat cheese Mac n cheese (surprisingly good) and crispy fried calamari. I'm not the biggest fan of calamari, but I will admit that I'm now more willing to try it again if it's prepared how Starks prepares theirs. For the steak, sides, drinks, the total was somewhere around $150 which was to be expected. No disappoints here. I'll add this, if this is your first time going to Starks, be aware that the surrounding area has quite a bit of the unhoused community. Just FYI!

Hubs decided not to order the beer but insisted I try a fancy drink so I decided on the unicorn after recommendation from our waitress. The drink was pleasantly good, not too sour or too sweet, however definitely not worth the price. Then we decided on a small bites, skillet prawns. The wait wasn't too long. We took a bite each and we were so confused at the odd flavor. It tasted like latex gloves and cleaner. Hubs tried a a second small bite of another one and spit it out. We probably shouldn't have stopped. Our waitress was really nice about it and offered to get us a new one or something else or a dessert, but we declined. She ended up taking it off the bill. Maybe skip the drinks and order a pizza.

This is the best lengua!!! My children always eat every last bite and the bean dip is also our favorite!!! I've been coming to this little spot for at least 10 years. It has always been my dads favorite after church lunch and he has always been fond of Cris. Although I don't frequent as often as I would like to, Cris always recognizes me and says hello. I have no issue with the fee itself. My problem is that the sales tax is calculated on the total after the fee is added. The credit card fee should have nothing to do with the tax amount. Additionally, the suggested tip amounts are also calculated based on the total that includes both the sales tax and the credit card fee. Most customers expect tip percentages to be based on the pre-tax cost of the food and drinks. As a result, you end up giving a lot higher tip than you intended to. Because the payment screen does not show an itemized bill, it's very difficult to verify the charges or calculate a custom tip unless you remember the exact prices of everything you ordered. I hate when a restaurant's billing practice isn't transparent to customers.
