Yelp really is useful when it comes to road trips. On our way to Oregon we stopped in Eureka for Los Bagels and it was awesome. There is a super hippie vibe here, but you're in Eureka so it's to be expected. As a vegetarian I was pleased with the abundance of options. I had the Thai bagel and it was awesome. Would recommend to anyone passing through. The amount of homelessness was astounding though. Eureka definitely has some major issues, but Los Bagels isn't one of them. read more

Awesome and unique place! Stopped in during some holiday festivities and this place was packed. I'm guessing they have a lot of foot traffic because it is so tasty with plenty of varieties to choose from. There is a very simple build your own bagel formula, pick your bagel, pick your spread, pick your toppings- and even some tasty pre-recommended Egg Scramble Bagels. Yum! I will say I was a bit surprised how expensive the cream cheese spread was at first, but once you get the bagel you realize why- it's like 6oz of Cream Cheese on one bagel! Heaven! Haha it's a cool spot with indoor and outdoor seating, plenty of artwork and the people are just as unique and friendly who work there. This is a mandatory stop whenever Hubby and I visit Humboldt. Their assortment of bagels and schmear is excellent and we always enjoy what we try. Our go-to's include the everything (named "Multicultural") bagel that has their proprietary seasoning ("Slug Mix") that we unabashedly buy in bulk in shop when we visit or on Amazon when we are between trips. Onion, garlic, poppy seeds, sesame seeds, and a whole lot of spices makes it a fave for our homemade bagels and garlic bread. I'm also a fan of their lox on a poppyseed bagel on a crisp Humboldt morning. Unless you go super fancy with their toppings/sandwiches, the prices are reasonable. I also love that you can find their schmear in the local grocery stores (love the salmon!). read more

The place has a really good vibe and I would be a regular if I were a local. My only "complaint" was the mocha I ordered. It was made with way too much chocolate syrup and was simply undrinkable. I got the cucumbin because it seemed the most unique with the larrupin and ~slug sauce~ I love the decor, the artwork, and merchandise (looks like it's by local artists too!). This place is GREAT! Worth going for first timers who are in the city. It is places in the middle or so of Downtown and are great at enforcing the COVID guidelines. The workers are the sweetest and are very quick. My BF and I ordered a Bacon breakfast sandwich w/ a standard 12oz coffee and the Farm breakfast sandwich w/ Mexican Mocha. The Mexican mocha was not too sweet and was great with their breakfast sandwiches, this goes with their standard coffee. We usually get the everything bagel but they had something similar called Multi-cultured, which is pretty close to the everything bagel. FUN FACT, all their bagels are organic!! This place has great options and worth the time to get up early to eat and drink some coffee. Definitely GO!! read more

What a great breakfast joint! I ordered the cucumbin on a jalapeño cheddar bagel ($6). It comes with cream cheese, slug slime (in-house everything seasoning blend), larrupin (mustard dill sauce) and cucumbers. I subbed tomatoes instead of cucumbers. The open face bagel concept worked well because I was able to taste all the different flavours instead of being overwhelmed by just bread. The larrupin sauce was my favourite part of the bagel. I do wish the jalapeño cheddar bagel had more kick to it and that the cream cheese layer wasn't as thick. I recommend calling in your order to minimize wait times. Los bagels was a cozy little restaurant we found in town at the recommendation of people we met. My girlfriend and I simply dropped in to get a quick breakfast before we left for our long drive for the day but what we got was much better-I would go as far as to say I got the best bagel of my life. I got a scramble bagel, specifically mine was bacon and egg on a Parmesan bagel, in addition to a chocolate milk. There were tons of drink options that I got to look at while I waited a couple minutes for my bagel. However the wait was short and i immediately dig into my bagel. It was nice and warm plus all the ingredients tasted extremely fresh like they had just been made right before and put on my bagel. They did not skimp on the quantities of the bacon and egg on my bagel not the avocados on my girlfriends bagel, which was on the multicultural bagel. All aspects of this place were awesome-they had nice art, a friendly staff, quick service, and amazing food at a fairly solid price. Would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone! read more

I just had a sesame bagel with cream cheese. The bagel itself was good but didn't have very many sesame seeds on it. That was disappointing. The cream cheese made up for it. It was piled high and had a bit of a tang to it. I don't think I ever had that much cream cheese on a bagel before. None of the fancier topped bagels interested me. The light layer of cream cheese was just the right amount, as well as the mass amounts of slug slime they added at the end. It was an explosion of flavors in my mouth. Every bite had the perfect ratio of bagel to toppings. I found myself to be a little sad when it was all over and longing for more of that incredible concoction. Final review - 10/10 would recommend.
