My Tuesday Food group came here today... (20 total).. They set up a bunch of table for us in back, was a little tight and some of the table were broken and kept tipping but we made it work. Food was really good: Ceviche was delicious and I really liked the Al Pastor, I would come back.. Other comments I heard was the fish tacos were good as well as the salsa. Food coming out was a little confusing and some food was forgot but again we did have 20 people so I don't totally blame them. Temperature in back was a little warm but not to bad and they had fans on. The young man at front counter was very nice and friendly. With all the great reviews I was not too impress with my meal. Let's start off with the fact that I went I there with high expectations of their fish tacos based on reviews. This place was tucked a coroner of a small plaza where it was kinda hard to see. There food rating was a "B" but hey still thought I give it a shot. When I walked in there was no AC on a hot day which I ended up sitting outside. It was too clammy to sit inside. 2 fish tacos was average. Felt the fish was too fishy for me as I want too impressed Cabo taco has fish and shrimp which was alittle better but not the best. Drinks come in two size small or large and you can have refills for .25 If you ask for grilled jalapeños they charge you 3 for $1 Overall this is your typical Mexican fast food/restaurant. When I was ordering, an older gentleman customer insisted on buying me a fish taco and that these tacos were better than the ones he'd had in Mexico. Very poor experience!!! 0 stars !! Order a campechana and 2 fish tacos. First of all i get there and the cashier is busy chatting away while face-timing her friend while im ordering. Then she tell me she cant find the to go containers for 5 mins . Meanwhile im listening to her have a conversation on the phone asking everyone how to make it . I get home the fish tacos where burnt and cold and the campechana which is suppose to have a variety of seafood comes only with 6 shrimps and 5 pieces of octopus ,and they still have the nerve of telling me we didn't fill it up all the way because we couldn't find the togo containers . The Cabo burrito (shrimp and fish) was bomb! Great flavor was delicious! The chips were nice and warm freshly made amazing! The green and red salsa were both great. Such a disappointment this place use to be great went there to support small businesses been a customer for a few years and I don't know what happens. We ordered 2 burritos and 2 tacos worse fish burrito and fish taco we ever had! When we called to let them know that there food was bad batch maybe they said it could not be possible. In a sea of Mexican restaurants, this little winner rises to the top. My son has been raving about this place. OMG! He actually found a good place before his mother! It is so humbling. So he dragged an unprotesting Mr. B and me here. The Good: Ceviche. Multiple versions including fish, imitation crab, shrimp, Mixto. Very delicious. Served on a crispy tortilla, and a very generous serving. Shrimp Cocktail. Lots of fresh, fat shrimp in a light tomato base of fresh chopped tomato, onion, cilantro, and avocado. A real treat! The Sopa. The same topping offerings as the ceviche. Did not try this one, maybe because the son quickly wolfed it down without offering a bite. Thus, no picture either. Chips. You need to order these separately, but if tonight was an indicator, they are well worth it. And at only a measly $1. They were oh so thin, and cooked to order. Seafood street tacos. Mr. B had one fish taco (battered Baja style) and one grilled shrimp one. They went down easily, and were topped with the traditional cabbage, tomato, cilantro, red onion, and a light mayonnaise sauce. Deliciously fresh. I could go crazy and eat too many of these alone. And they offer Coke products, always a plus in my book. The Not Good? Nada. Well, honestly, Mr. B thought the beans and rice could use some work, but they were not bad. And who comes for the beans and rice when the seafood is so wonderful anyway? Friendly, clean, neat, but small, they have only 8 tables inside. The price to fill your tummy is outrageously reasonable. Sadly, hidden from view from the street, if there is a downside, it would be they need a lot of "word of mouth" because I would never have seen them there. It is rare to find a place with real, authentic fish tacos. That was our craving this afternoon and I remember seeing some favorable comments on this restaurant so close to my house. We weren't disappointed and on this day, Fish Tacos we're $1.75. What a deal. It's a small place that's hard to find. Southeast corner of Magnolia and Pierce. These tacos took me back to the early days of La Bufadora when they were sold on the street near the ocean cliffs. Not just fish tacos but shrimp and fish & shrimp as well. Also Quesadillas de Cameron (shrimp) and shrimp cocktail and, we'll, I'm starting to sound like Bubba on Forrest Gump. Just try it. Best time is Mondays and Thursdays for fish tacos specials or Tuesdays for meat taco (carne asada, carnitas, chicken or pastor) specials. What the hell happened to this place!? What once was my favorite fish taco spot have gone down the drain. To say I'm disappointed is an understatement. I used to be a regular customer but haven't returned in a while up until now, and I won't be back. The fish is nonexistent. You're eating straight tortilla. Each taco has one tiny little sliver piece of over-fried fish. You can't even taste the fish because of how thin it is and how thick the batter is. Los Cabos used to pack each taco with three fat juicy pieces of perfectly fried fish. I brought my friend here bragging about how good the fish tacos were for us to leave disappointed and still hungry and drive to another place miles down the road. Ouch. New go to taco/burrito place!! Highly recommended if you're in or within a 35 mile radius of Riverside. Hole in the wall type place, always the best imo. Service was nice, quick and brought us our food/sauces. Side note: don't get a fountain drink, just noticed another review about it and yes confirmed. Stick to horchata or canned soda. We had 3 fish and 3 shrimp tacos, fries and a bean and cheese burrito. Tacos were on point especially with the thicker green sauce and red sauce provided to us. The bean and cheese burrito was surprisingly really really good, beans were authentic and the cheese was delicious not bs shredded cheddar... could've done without the fries haha was just a craving but a healthy portion was provided. Pretty mellow around noon on a Sunday, started picking up by the time we were leaving. Again, highly recommend this place, they also have plenty of specials available on certain days. Monday/Thursday $1.35 fish tacos and Saturday is an out of the sea burrito for $7 something. Those were the only ones that looked appealing to me. Will be back! Also, reg. Los Cabos is a nice hole in the wall place for some good street tacos. We happened to find the place while on the 91 freeway. I ordered two carne asada tacos at first sine I was skeptical at first. I devoured those two tacos quickly. The carne asada is flavorful and moist. I ordered 4 more for the ride home. The wife ordered the shrimp tacos and those are just as flavorful.
