    Pork carnitas with parrillada sauce

Food was great! Amazing seafood nachos. The shredded pork enchiladas with tomatillo sauce was good. My wife ordered the Reyna plate. We went back again and ordered our seafood nachos...again. My buddy got the basic enchilada plate. The Texas sheet cake is off the wall. Place always smells like carne asada every time you walk in.

I have to say this was the best fajitas I have had in a long time! Slightly pink inside and extremely tender with an excellent flavor. We were seated immediately and our order taken within a few minutes. We were running late for an appointment so were in a hurry. Our waitress was understanding and brought us our check with our entrees. Metal silverware and ceramic plates. We had a beef fajita nacho plate and a Guerra plate. The inside is colorful and looks beachy themed. If I lived here I would be her all the time. I definitely recommend them.

My sister use to live in Rockport & she always raved about this restaurant that had fried avocado. We ended up going & I see what the fuss was about. The atmosphere was nice & we were waited on quickly, food arrived fast. Everything was very good & the drinks were tasty. I would go again!

Fish tacos w/snapper upgrade and double rice

Went with a rather large party (9 people) on Sunday night. I ordered the fish tacos which I upgraded to Snapper and although there was a 2 dollar up charge I don't regret it at all. Generous portions, a patient and very kind waitstaff and to top it all off, delicious food. I really could not ask more from a restaurant. I would highly recommend this to anyone in Rockport.

The verde enchiladas are heaven! Usually I go for lunch, the servers are always nice and helpful, even if they do get a little busy.

The Marleigh here is absolute fire. You can feed 3-4 people with it. Shrimp taste like lobster. I will be back.

Wowza...what a find! CLEAN, nicely decorated, with great wall art, excellent menu, and our server,…read moreStephanie was super! A versatile menu, the majority of which is seafood, as we're in Rockport, but look out for the PERFECT Ribeye. Cooked exactly as ordered, beautifully seasoned, and one of the most tender and flavorful Ribeye steaks, ever. It includes 3 very tasty, grilled shrimp, and two sides. I had the hottest baked potato ever, yum, and delicious green beans. Dylan enjoyed his steak enourmously, with creamed corn and a loaded baked potato. Although we arrived starving, we could both only eat half. No problem, lunch the next day and Bizou was thrilled. Thank you Stephanie! Also, for Rockport, they're open late (9 pm). But they still kindly greeted people at 8:45. Be kind folks, and show as they're shutting everything down!

I visited Nemo's Seafood Grill while on a day trip in Rockport. The food pictures online looked…read moregood but I didn't expect to find such interesting and delicious seafood there! I had reasonable expectations and Nemo's still managed to exceed them. Both the interior and exterior of the restaurant are unremarkable. But don't let the boring decor fool you, the food was solid. I had grilled scallops, cabbage and green beans. Sounds like a weird assortment, doesn't it? But it knocked my socks off! First of all, the sea scallops were absolutely amazing. Though simply cooked in butter and spices, they tasted fresh, on par with large scallops I had bought at Whole Foods in the past and cooked at home, perhaps even better. (Okay there were better, I admit it... But I pride myself in being a good cook nonetheless!) The side of cabbage was delish. I mean, guys, I don't even care for cabbage, I don't normally like it. But it struck me when I looked at the menu, seeing a Vietnamese section, that the owners aren't your typical Texan cooks. They're eclectic. When when I see originality, I have to try it. The green beans were also fresh, simple but well put together, without bacon, the way they should be, because that's how my grandma used to cook them (grandma is always right, sorry not sorry.) That's right, eating at Nemo's reminded be of home cooking at its best, made with heart and care. I didn't expect to find that in Rockport of all places, nothing less than a meal that took me to new places, and simultaneously down memory lane. My husband had the catfish and his portion was generous. He also had a side of their special pineapple coleslaw, which is in all ways superior to traditional coleslaw. Regular coleslaw sucks, big time. Nemo's is a long overdue improvement upon the original recipe. I stole some of his coleslaw. When you serve me coleslaw anywhere else, I set it aside, and unless someone else eats it, it ends up in the trash. Just saying. So, all in all, while the place looks absolutely boring and undedicated in many ways, the food made up for lack of ambiance. I'd go back.

Came here for a family dinner. Great location and awesome water views! One of those places that…read morethe ambiance views is enough to make patrons return. People were actually fishing right outside by the parking lot too which looked relaxing... Now for the food. We started off with appetizers and it was oysters and poke tuna tower. Not an oyster person myself. Brother in law and wife had them and they enjoyed them saying they were fresh. The poke tuna tower was good but it lacked salt and needed more sauce. It seemed like the sauce was only on the plate and not mixed with the ingredients. But the ingredients were fresh and the chips were served hot with some seasoning on them. For mains we had "Fish n Chips" and a bowl of clam chowder. Well it was more of a cup as they forgot we had ordered a bowl. Flavor was there but the temp was like warm and I'm a type that wants it a little more hot. The "Fish n Chips" for me wasn't the traditional plate when you read the name of the dish. Fish n Chips for me is flaky strips of fish or beer battered. This fish was more of a solid piece and breaded. But the seasoning was amazing!! The flavor was there so that made it up for me. But I'm a guru to fish n chips so I had a different vision of it. We did upgrade to the mahi mahi on it and that was really tendered. The fries were a little bland and the sweet potatoes fries were really chewing and dry. The menu had some great options that we want to try therefore we will be back to return again. Our server was on point! Great service and all with him dealing with 2 big group parties including ours. Think his name was Victor. Again, I highly recommend this and we cannot wait to go again!!

TLDR: Waterfront seafood restaurant (often busy, with a long wait for dinner) with delicious food…read more(still thinking about the pecan snapper and key lime pie). Good kids menu with the option to add protein (chicken or carnitas). This place exceeded my expectations. I did set them fairly low considering this is a touristy waterfront type of restaurant. FOOD: Delicious food here! Large menu too. Good clam chowder -- I only got a small cup but it was generously clammy. My grilled shrimp was good but usually most places can get that right. The asparagus side was cooked just right -- still had that crisp to it. However, the show stealer was hubby's pecan snapper. It was a big portion. The fish was also thick with a nice thin breading. Really dang good. I don't often grab dessert but I'm a fan of key lime pie -- their version did not disappoint. Delicious. KIDS FOOD: One of the best kids menus I've seen in a while. They've got a few deep fried options (chicken, fish, shrimp, corn dogs) as well as not fried (grilled cheese or mac and cheese). The part that really stood out was the option to add chicken, carnitas, or bacon to the mac and cheese. I got my son the mac and cheese with chicken on the side and they brought a large plate of chicken! It was delicious diced chicken too -- my son loved it! It was great to have a kid-friendly protein option since it's always fried junk or carbs galore. I should also add that the mac and cheese was real macaroni with melted cheese on top (not that fake goopy boxed type mac and cheese). They offer crayons and coloring paper to keep kids occupied while they wait. WAIT: I see a lot of negative reviews for the long wait. I mean -- it's a popular place, should you really hold that against them? I would probably avoid this spot for dinner on a weekend for this reason. We came for lunch on a Saturday (midday). There was no wait and we got a window table (we requested one). VIBE: Exactly what I wanted. Nice view of the water -- saw lots of fishing boats go by, a cool bird, and even a dolphin! The place is large and full of people but it's also pretty spacious with enough room between tables. SERVICE: Friendly and pretty attentive. BATHROOM: Cool chalkboard walls where you can leave your thoughts. There were some charmingly positive sentiments written in my stall. PARKING: Limited spots right outside of the restaurant but there is a large lot where people park their boats next door. No issue finding a spot there (early Saturday afternoon).
