Service that makes you feel at home, incredible food packed with authentic flavor, handcrafted drinks done right, and an atmosphere you'll never want to leave. Los Compadres Cantina is where great meals turn into unforgettable nights.

The food was so good that we basically licked the plate. Superior service and great atmosphere! Can't wait to come back! --Covered patio is another amenity.

Hello Rockwall! We were on this side of town for a soccer game so stopped by this gem for dinner. We were able to get seated in their covered patio right away. My husband appreciated being sat right in front of the tv playing the football game. Our server Destiny was amazing! She was friendly and even gave my daughter a star sticker to match hers. Destiny made sure we were well taken care of all night. She made sure we had refills and would come and check on us every so often. We ordered the Ceviche as our appetizer and it was Chefs kiss! I loved the nice kick the Jalapeño gave it and the shrimp and tomato were flavorful. For my meal I had the Carne asada which came with rice and charro beans. The steak was cooked to perfection, while still being flavorful and the charro beans and rice were on point. The ambiance can be for date night and family dinners. Good place for kids too. They have chicken nuggets on their kids menu, in case you have a picky eater. Overall we are so glad we came here for dinner!

Great patio to have drinks and appetizers! Ranch water with Lalo and Sampler appetizer, both great on the patio!

Los Compadres your alcoholic beverages are good, however, your food is not good enough to ever have poor service. Not ever.... The food was mediocre at best. I ordered several items to try and I was not impressed. My normal order here is the spinach enchiladas, but today I made the mistake of ordering something different. My normal enchiladas aren't the best I've ever had, but atleast I can eat them without feeling like I wasted money. I haven't been in a while and decided to go during happy hour time frame. For happy hour they have 2 drinks: pre-made original margarita (frozen or on the rocks) and they have s margarita mixed with sangria. The margarita is better than the food by leaps and bounds. They do not have a food happy hour menu. Happy hour is 3-6p Our waiters name was Rudy and although we left a tip over 20%, it was not deserved. I was so underwhelmed with his whole demeanor. Maybe he was having an off day but we don't get discounts when waiters have off days so that means Rudy should be on his best behavior at work and he definitely wasn't. It was my daughters first time in and I had to work overtime to make sure her experience wasn't ruined. I actually wanted the girl delivering chips to be our waitress, she had a much better attitude and gave great service!! Now to the meal... please review the pics I've attached and know that there was NOTHING that we ordered that deserved a rating over mediocre. It was all just average at BEST. I travel all over DFW and I love Mexican food! I can skip paying $150 for subpar flavor. I would've done better at a food truck or Fresko Taco spot... los compadres I won't be seeing you for food again, too many other spots where I can spend my hard earned money and get great service. I might see you for a margarita if one of my friends wants to come. I can't in good faith recommend los compadres for food. Rudy, do better.

Holy Taco!! Had the taco salad today and for a minute thought about just eating it like a normal taco! Wouldn't have worked as the taco shell was deliciously soft and likely wouldn't have held together. Different take on taco salad but great flavors, much better than the 'average.' Fajitas and pozole are the go to, Serrano Caesar used to have an awesome spice to it but lately it's been closer to mild. Enchiladas and tacos are okay, not enough food for me to justify the price. Margaritas have always been solid, M-Fri 2-6pm happy hour with $8 margaritas

I can't believe i haven't eatin here sooner, i mean, i have been doing business with them for a while but never ate here til now. And OMG how could i have not eatin here before? Well it's Taco Tuesday and National Taco Day so i figured why not and thank God i did. I sat at the bar and before i could even look at the menu, they dropped chips an salsa down. They give you these even if your just there for a drink. OK, being Taco Tuesday i was lookin to get me some and boy did i. I ordered the Birria Tacos and a shot of Aguasol Tequila. Both of these were great choices. The spices were high and the tastes were great on everything on the plate. The tequila was really good and smooth. I enjoyed every sip. I really enjoyed the employees dedication and friendliness that i delt with. Really impressed and i'll be back to try some of my other favorites soon.

Average food. Complimentary chips & salsa (a little spicy) served. Good queso. I got the original margarita that was being sold outside the restaurant during a festival and it tasted like pure lime juice and was very weak if it had any tequila in it. I was expecting more since they advertise having the best margarita. When we dined in, I got the Aztec Mule (tequila, lime juice, & ginger beer) which was very good. The tortilla soup and beef nachos were good. Others enjoyed taco salad and the kids split a kids quesadilla. We wish they would have had milk for the kids to drink. Good table service. They kept chips and waters filled and checked on us frequently. Food came out pretty quickly despite them being busy. The hostess could have been a little more friendly and assertive managing the people waiting as it was starting to get busy and was very loud and she'd just speak softly hoping that the "party of 8" could hear her [the crowd eventually helped find the people that were the party of 8].

I had a light beer and the fajitas parrillada (half order), which comes with shrimp, chicken, and beef, plus guac, sour cream, pico de gallo, rice, and beans. I skipped the rice but had the rest, and everything was good. When the fajitas arrived, I was like, "OMG, that's WAY too much food, even for a half order!" But then I realized about 70% of it was a bed of veggies (onions, carrots, zucchini, mushrooms... a little confusing for fajitas hahaha) and the rest was the protein. The beef and chicken were not dry and had good flavor. I only got TWO shrimp though... wth?! But they were well seasoned and good. I couldn't have the totopos (chips) because I'm watching my blood sugar, but they let me have my own protein chips. I also tried the house salsa. It was blended (not chunky) and kind of spicy for my non-spicy-tolerant taste buds , but I liked it! Music was a mix or reggaeton and Latino Urbano from the 90's-2000s and made me smile hehe. In summary, it was good food and good service. Sebastian was great!

Great Tex-Mex restaurant, but not if you're vegetarian…read more Our server, Cristian, was great! He let me know about the menu and came back to check on us throughout the meal. The queso, all of the enchilada sauces except ranchero, black beans, and rice contained meat, which was disappointing. For those of you who are vegetarian, this place is not a great option. The chips are good, and the salsa is on the runnier side but still packed with flavor. Prices are reasonable. I hope one day they create a vegetarian menu and become more accommodating.

Unfortunately, I never made it far enough into the experience to actually order any. When I arrived, I was told there weren't any high-top tables available in the bar. I could see an empty one, so I politely asked about it. I was told the server "wouldn't be able to get to it." Okay then. I didn't push the issue and agreed to sit in the dining room. At that point, I didn't even dare ask about a booth. The hostess was giving less "welcome to Chuy's" and more "you're not on the list" nightclub-bouncer energy. I was seated at a table and waited three or four minutes without being greeted. No "hello," no "I'll be right with you," no acknowledgment at all. A manager even walked past me. Nothing. The server I assumed was assigned to my table was taking an order nearby, which is completely understandable. I wasn't expecting him to abandon another guest mid-order. But a quick "Hey, I'll be with you in just a minute" would have taken about five seconds and made all the difference. Instead, I sat there apparently participating in Chuy's new invisible-customer program. Eventually, I decided my time was worth more than waiting to find out whether anyone planned to acknowledge my existence, so I left. On the way out, I told the hostess that no one had greeted me and that I was leaving. I also asked for a business card for the manager or general manager. She seemed flustered by the request and didn't know where the cards were -- or whether they even had any. I was told I would need to call later and ask for him. What surprised me most was that there was absolutely no attempt to recover the situation. No "I'm sorry." No "Let me grab the manager." No "Can we get you seated with someone right now?" No effort whatsoever to keep a customer who was literally standing there explaining why he was leaving. Instead, I got a smile and a "have a great day," which came across less as sincere hospitality and more like the customer-service equivalent of "thoughts and prayers." Restaurants get busy. Servers get overwhelmed. I completely understand that. What I don't understand is an entire front-of-house experience where nobody seems particularly interested in whether a guest stays or leaves. I came in ready to spend money on Mexican food and an irresponsible amount of queso. Somehow Chuy's managed to lose the sale before I could even order a drink. That's honestly impressive.
