The go to Mexican comfort food place for my Torta Milanese! Great taste, service, and value... Enjoy their chips and salsa too.

I am not sure why it has taken me so long to write a review , for one of my favorite authentic Mexican restaurants. I have tried a variety of dishes and they all have been great. This time we had take out and I had the taco salad. Taco salads is one of my go to meal options, and I am always impressed how well they package it . The salad is large, and the taco shell is by far my favorite. My husband usually has their tacos and has tried the carne asada and shrimp. Both are always great. It is generally busy, but the staff always provide excellent service, and are always so nice. The restaurant is not huge, but it has a comfy vibe. This is one of our go to Mexican restaurants.

What a great find! Tried the Bistec a la Mexicana and it was great. Spicy steak with veggies rice and beans...even the chips and salsa were amazing. Highly recommend Los Compradres if you are in the area.

Family friendly authentic Mexican restaurant in a great location not too far from the city! We stopped here while on a trip to Chicago and were super impressed with the speed of service and freshness of the dishes. The space was clean and had plenty of seating, the staff members were attentive and friendly. What more can you ask for!

Always so good! Love the aguafrescas and smoothies, too! Very family friendly, all ages and cultures seen dining together- not very loud considering the environment. This spot is on the monthly meal plan rotation for dining out.

If…read moreI could bottle it, I'd put a little dabby on my neck every night before bed, and then dream I'm prancing through kebab fields in a tutu. This is a happening place. They decorated it with hanging plants, some art, a fish tank. A slight haze of smoke. Desserts on display. I'd say the finest work of art here are the prepped skewers, waiting to be thrown on their charcoal grill. My gaze was fixed on the meat display as if I was Cookie Monster at Crumbl. I composed myself and took a seat. They have great hot and cold appetizers. They have breakfast! Check out their menu, I've included a pic. Lahmacun is a crunchy brick oven flatbread with ground meat. It feels so light, airy, and crunchy, you could eat the whole thing and later say "..um, I ate the whole thing". We ordered a few King Chef's mixed grill platters. It is a medley of filet morsels, chicken, lamb chops, shawarma, shish kebab, and many other things, along with bulgar and fries. Why are their fries so good? Okay, so I know we're just talking about lemonade, but their house made lemonade is so good. We also loved their tea. We went way overboard on desserts. We just kept pointing at sharable items like John Travolta to the Bee Gees. All of the desserts were delicious. For some reason, the simplest of them, rice pudding, won the dessert battle that day. They have plenty of intriguing items that will lure me back, and I'm looking forward to it!

My group wasn't checked in on unless we stared down at the staff. The food did make up for the slow service though. I went with the staffs recommendation and tried the Adana kebab. I can completely understand why this dish is a customer favorite. It was juicy and very flavorful. Pricing is on the higher side when compared to the portion, however, the quality is there.

The portions are generous to the point where your plate feels like it's making a promise it fully intends to keep. Whether it's pancakes, omelets, or something a little more creative, the food comes out hot, fresh, and exactly what you hoped to enjoy. The menu walks that perfect line between classic and creative. Things like loaded skillets, sweet crepes, and standout omelets get a lot of love, and for good reason. And then there's the service, which honestly might be the secret ingredient. Even when it's busy, and it does get busy, the staff keeps things moving while still making you feel like you're taken care of. Friendly, attentive, and quick without being rushed, it's the kind of service that makes a place feel personal. At the end of the day, this is what a great breakfast spot is supposed to be: reliable, welcoming, and genuinely.

Upon my first visit on a Thursday for lunch, the waitress Nur provided excellent service to our table. She was patient, pleasant, and provided answers to our many questions. Just loved her service with a smile and uplifting energy. My friends and I ate hard and everyone enjoyed their food. I tried the lentil soup which was wonderful and I had the mushroom guvec with rice on the side that was delicious. We were served tea as an after dinner refresher which was nice. We noticed the bakery on the way out and they had so many treats ready to be ordered and taken home. The second visit was terrible. I came for lunch on a Tuesday and it wasn't busy. The lahmacon is offered as a lunch special and I asked if I could have the cheesemacon for the special. It's the same version with just cheese and no meat. My waiter Jamal straight told me no. I found that very odd so I inquired further because they are the same price on the menu and it's without meat. The answer still didn't change. I simply had a few more questions about other menu items and Jamal seemed agitated by then. He was not even trying to be nice. I ordered two entrees. I paid full price for the cheesemacon and had a pide with kashkaval cheese. Jamal brought my food and NEVER came back to my table. I watched him provide service to all the other tables during that time. I was fine and didn't need anything, but I didn't deserve to be treated that way for being pleasantly inquisitive. I really felt bothered by this because out of all my years of eating out, I never felt that a server treat me poorly personally for being myself. I've had bad service before just because the service is bad overall and that is different. I like the food so I reluctantly returned for a third time and had breakfast. Service was standard and the food was good. My mushroom omelette was fine. The traditional french toast was solid. This review should be one star but it is four without Jamal.
