Please note they are a food truck located at Far Out Lounge. This food was not good, it was GREAT! When you add friendly staff you can guarantee a customer for life and that is exactly what you get from Los Danzantes. My food was full of flavor, everything looked and tasted fresh. We were also so lucky to get a side of beans that just melt in your mouth. Anyone who knows me knows I love beans, but I promise you have never had beans this yummy. I would go back just for them too! My daughter and I were craving birria tacos after a long flight back home, and luckily this place was not out of our way from my dog sitter's house. We could not be any happier we stopped by. I live in north Austin and will be happy to make the trek back here anytime. Even more points for the great selection of beers that Far Out Longe has to choose from.

An inconspicuous family-owned food truck that will surprise you with the amount of flavor they have packed in their birria tacos! Juicy, flavorful, and tender bites of beef and melty cheese with a side of gorgeous dipping broth. This was my first time trying birria style tacos, and it was one for the books! If you stop by the Far Out Lounge, you gotta give this spot a chance.

located in a food truck in a lot that sometimes has live music playing, the area is cute, surrounded by trees and lights as you're seated at picnic tables. i believe this is a family owned business (?) and they are very kind and welcoming. food took about 20ish mins, but also there was a long line of people there to get food. i got 3 birria tacos and they were actually very filling, so i was able to save one to eat later. they were extremely generous with the birria tacos, stuffing them with lots of meat and even filling the platter with extra toppings like onion and jalapeños. the consome on the side was also flavorful and have chickpeas in them! the salsa was also delicious, with a perfect amount of spiciness to them! they're yummy, but i didn't find it to be anything too spectacular. overall, this is a cute little place for some solid tacos that are nice and filling! you can also maybe listen to some live music while you're at it! *i went here during yelp's free taco week

We came to the Far Out Lounge to see the Battle Of The Bands. When it came time to eat during one of the intermissions we decided to get tacos. Since I am a picky eater I had to really look at the menu and made the decision to get the Tlayuda Oaxaqueña. I originally thought I was going to ask them to 86 some items but I changed my mind. It was an extra large crispy corn tortilla , pork lard, beans, cheese, chorizo and cabbage. I asked if the chorizo was spicy and I was told it was not. It didn't taste spicy either. My daughter on the other hand picked the same menu item as mine but 86'd everything except the cheese. She didn't care for it but instead decided that since I still had everything on my she ate half. I feel like it must be good if she ate it. I can say that I will probably follow them wherever they go and who knows I might try more items.

I came for the Motown Monday revue to see friend is the show and noticed lots of food trucks. We decided to try the birria tacos from los Dazantes and was not disappointed! These things are awesomely tasty!

Absolutely fantastic birria tacos. I've had a bunch of birria in Austin and these are my favorite so far. Amazing consume, meat is so tender and flavorful...and the cheese...just perfect. Come try these guys out. Super friendly owner and family. I would be here every week if lived closer.

Really good but total came to $20.78 (!) for three teeny tacos with an extra consomme. OUTRAGEOUS. Probably won't get it again.

On the flip side, the Shrimp Po' Boy I got at Strut & Dorothy was sensational. Usually when the Armadillo Den is packed out like it was last Saturday for the Spurs and Knicks Game 5 plus a World Cup Saturday, these food trucks parked inside are buzzing trying to get as many orders out as possible. Though it took a while to place an order with the huge line, once my order was placed, it was ready very shortly after. The guy running the truck apologized for the wait, which felt unnecessary because they seemed to be on top of it, but I appreciate the kindness and customer service nonetheless. Pricing is about what I expected for a food truck: $14 po' boy and $7-8 for fries served with ranch or bleu cheese. The po' boy with all the fixings was exactly what I needed to calm my hunger and nerves while watching the Spurs collapse. It wasn't the glorious night I wanted, but the po' boy was the bandage on the wound. RIYL: The most impressive seafood served in a food truck in Austin

The menu said it would also have onions, but either it didn't or the amount was so small I could neither see nor taste it. I tried to eat the sandwich but it tasted like bread with wilted lettuce, so I ended up throwing it away after a few bites. The worst part was that it took 20+ minutes to get the food.... Tons of picnic tables, a big bar for drinks, and even a little fountain you can sit by. Great place to hang out. I ordered the smash burger. It was... fine. Not bad at all, just not in my top tier of Austin smash burgers. The patty came out in pieces, which happens when it gets smashed a little too thin. Totally edible, still tasted good, it just didn't have that cohesive patty feel or the crispy lacy edges I like. I ordered through the QR code on the table, which told me it would take about 30 minutes, but it was ready in 10. Not complaining, but it's always funny when the system just picks a random long estimate and then surprises you. Fries were adequate, nothing memorable. Service was okay. I asked for a side of their special sauce, and the guy looked totally baffled, like no one in the history of burgers had ever asked for sauce on the side. Someone else behind him finally said, "I think he means the Biggie sauce." Now I know what to call it if I ever return. Overall: decent burger, not amazing, but Armadillo Den itself is a great hang.
