Shortly after posting this review the Manager contacted me and advised that he was unfortunately not in the loop during my listed issue- he insured me that the ceviche was being removed from ordering until a fresh batch could be made and that he was crediting our bill. My favorite Mexican food of all time. I crave it like no other. Literally can't go wrong here. I usually get the chicken street tacos but the chile rellenos are also soooo good. The place sucks ! Rude and disorganized staff and overhyped - long wait times and messy. It's a zoo. Wait time to get a table : 50 minutes. Time for waiter to show up at the table : 15 minutes. Food wait time to table : 60 minutes. Dessert wait time : 25 minutes. The taste is mediocre and for the burrito order they don't even wrap it, this drop, sauces, beans, and rice on a plate, throw in a tortilla over it, do not wrap it - hide it under loads of cheese and bake it. If you're running a Mexican restaurant at least learn to wrap a burrito. You will be more satisfied and content going to a Chipotle and Qdoba next door. read more

I was the beneficiary of an Ala Cart Chili Relleno when my wife's book club met at Los Dos for dinner a couple days ago. Just had it for lunch and DANG it's the 2nd best Relleno I've had. Now, my favorite is at Rio Grande in Lone Tree because they take a large Serrano pepper, bread it and fry it. But although the Los Dos Relleno isn't as large as Rio's it was really tasty with a very generous amount of cheese. Perhaps the best part was the spicyness! It was perfect! read more

It was the day after my best friends wedding and some of her family wanted to grab lunch before they left. They wouldn't take an out of state ID, when asked why the waiter snapped back said it's policy but she could get the manager if we wanted. We said no it was fine but someone else in our party snapped back and said she needed to get a better attitude. She took everyone's drink orders and walked away. The "manager" then approached and said "I heard we being crabby over here" everyone almost lost it. Im a retail manager and if she considers that a deescalation then she needs a new job. She then left and talked to 2 servers and some kitchen staff while glaring at our table from the kitchen. Food was typical Tex mex, nothing special enough to come back for after that. read more

Revising my review - tried it again, and even though the food is so delicious, the service issues remained. Interestingly enough, we had the same exact waiter as last time. This time the table side guacamole appetizer came after entrees arrived, so we turned it away. Also, I ordered my plate with no onions, and it came with onions - no biggie, sent it back - it came a second time, still with onion. They basically scraped it off the side they could see and poured more sauce on that corner, - but didn't lift the steak to see all the onions that were underneath. Sending food back twice is risky, and no bueno, so I'm afraid this place has to be a no for me. read more

My husband and I have been anticipating this restaurant opening and unfortunately was a big let down today. We ordered two iced teas that took 20 minutes to get and about 45 minutes for our meals...after snacking on two baskets of chips. It would have been easier to look past the timing if the food was amazing but it wasn't worth the wait. The ambience is nice but it's hard to enjoy yourself with this type of service. First time is a charm! Food was great and the service awesome! The price was great too! It's refreshing that a restaurant isn't gouging, even though it could be warranted here. The Castle Rock location by far has the worse service of the Los Dos locations. There is always a wait regardless of if the restaurant is empty or not. They say they are getting the table ready, but when you get to the table, you still wait for chips while employees are often standing around talking. They almost always open late on the weekends for breakfast, once again while employee stand inside watching people line up outside. read more

The service was disappointing, and now I understand why other reviews are so critical. The restaurant seemed severely understaffed, with poor training and less-than-friendly attitudes from the hostess and server assistants. While our server did her best, she had little to no support. The hostess was especially rude when I declined to provide my phone number just to be seated. We waited 15 minutes at 4:15 PM for a table, even though there were at least 30 open tables. The bartender was friendly and provided a glimmer of hope during our hostess-enforced "time out" while we waited for a table. On the plus side, the restaurant itself is beautiful, and the view is stunning. The food was good but not memorable--definitely not a competitor to La Loma. I gave it 3 stars because of the restaurant's ambiance and the decent food, but it's hard to overlook the lack of proper staffing and the negative attitudes. If I owned this establishment, I couldn't fathom spending so much on a restaurant only to cut corners on service and training. I was really looking forward to liking this place, but I can't recommend it based on this experience. read more

I used to get mine from the Centennial or food truck locations and sadly, each and every time I've gone (3 times thus far) the service has been lacking as well as the quality that I expect from Los Dos. Go try lunch at 2pm. No waiting and the food was outstanding. We had a beer, chicken fajitas, and barbacoa tocos. Tortillas are made on site. Our table was at the window with views to the west. The fajitas came on the usual sizzling platter with yummy charred onions and bell peppers plus perfect size and flavored chicken bites, two fresh. and hot, flour tortillas accompanied by a large platter of Mexican rice, refried beans, guacamole, sour cream, shredded cheese, pico de guyo, and shredded lettuce. Enough to take a container home. Our waitress, Dulce, was vivacious and knowledgeable about the extensive menu. If you don't like waiting in line for a table go mid afternoon for a great experience. read more

We had a horrible experience last night. We waited for over an hour and 20 min after being told that our wait time was 30 minutes. That's fine. When we went up to enquire as to where we were at, the rude hostess told us that our reservation had been cancelled online. That's strange since they do not have an online reservation system and we did no such thing. We had two children under four and that was a long time to wait. Once seated we quickly ordered the kids meals and our drinks (all non-alcoholic). It took over 30 minutes to get. It was another fifteen minutes until the waiter took our order. My mom ordered the shrimp burrito and specifically said that rice had been left off when we're had dined at Los Dos the week prior and to make sure that it was on this time. There were a total of five adults. I ordered the cheese enchiladas. It took another 20 minutes for our food to arrive and when it did my moms burrito did not have rice on it, the tortilla was rock hard (like it had been under the lamp for too long) and my enchiladas were cold. Once we got the waiters attention, he said whoops and said he would get them fixed. Twenty minutes later, my mom's burrito came out looking like they smushed rice into it rather than remaking it and the shrimp was now rubbery and cold. My enchilada came out 10 minutes later and everyone had already finished eating. I ate a few bites and asked for a box. The entire fiasco from start to finish took 3 hours. That is ridiculous for a family dinner with two kids under four. We have been there when the food has been exceptional, but after this last event, the poor treatment from the hostess, bad food, and horrible experience, we will not be back. read more

I normally don't speak about these things but I figured this is something that should be addressed. I went with a couple friends today to have some lunch here. I normally have a great experience here, however today was a different story. To start, our waiter stopped by, dropped off menus and then walked off. We waited about 15 minutes before he came back asking us if we'd like something to drink. We ordered two appetizers, the table side guac, and the carnitas fries. When our appetizers came out the carnitas fries were nachos, we politely asked for them to be fixed and he said that we ordered nachos but would fix them. After this we ordered our main meals, I ordered cheese enchiladas, one of my friends ordered a breakfast burrito, and the other wanted a steak burrito. When she was ordering her burrito she was substituting the chicken for steak and our waiter kept asking us if she wanted chicken steak, when we were trying to explain he became very agitated with us. After this our meals arrived, my friend's burrito was chicken, the breakfast burrito had no eggs in it, only vegetables, and my cheese enchiladas were cold and the cheese wasn't even melted. When we asked our waiter to fix my friends burrito and have steak put in it his response was "that's what your ordered is it not?" in a very snarky tone. After another 5 minutes of explaining we wanted steak, he picked up the plate, started walking away while rolling his eyes and shaking his head. He then threw the plate on the bar is annoyance. When her order came back out, it was steak and a tortilla. When we spoke to the manager about the situation, he said he was going to give us a large discount for the inconvenience today, our discount was less than $4. I wish this experience could have been better but unfortunately we were treated very poorly. read more

Besides the menu increasing $2 again, the relleno I had was fried to a dark brown burnt crisp, 90% filled with cheese and a thin tiny 1" single strip chili relleno pepper that I had to dig to find. 1st time at this location and not impressed.
