The cooks at this one are the best, they stuff those burritos, the pico is amazing, the carne asada fry portions are huge and the horchata always tastes good. I go to this location pretty often since I moved over this way just a few months ago and it's always pretty good, I mean it's the typical "fast mexican food" But the reason I am giving them five stars is because I just went in there and placed an order and was given great customer service, Now I know that may not sound like much being as that it's supposed to be standard but mind you it was 10 minutes until they closed and I had no idea until I had already been in conversation with the cashier, I didn't see one sour face or get any type of attitude in anyway, I made sure to tip them good and it was super appreciated! read more

We were at Safeway Pharmacy and asked for recommendations in Apache Junction and Owen the Pharmacist suggested here. Cute place that felt more community centered than just a place to eat. Cute, kitschy decor and a huge menu. I had the appetizer sampler to discover what I would like for future visits. Husband got a shredded beef chimi and loved it. Is there such a thing as burritos anonymous, because I think I need help! After having a vendor cater this place at work, their breakfast burritos have been an obsession that is constantly in the back of my mind. I was once asked "if you could choose anything as your last meal in prison, what would it be?"...before they could finish their sentence and before I realized they weren't even talking to me, I blurted our "LOS FAVS BREAKFAST BURRITOS!!!!!". Awkward, but accurate. These puppies are loaded with good crunchy bacon, and dare I say, more meat than eggs. Potatoes are also standard on these with no extra charge. Here's a hint: add guacamole for a whole new experience. They have red and green sauce available, both super flavorful with perfect spice. Very disappointed! We usually love the food and rave about it. Had family in from CA and got dinner last night. We've been coming here lately instead of our usual haunts for this style of food. The Filibertos on Signal Butte really seems to have gone downhill. Erickbertos on Meridian is pretty good but we've been looking for something local that is a little better and we've found it here with this Los Favs. This is a little hole in the wall with no drivethru. There are always people coming and going, ordering food all times of day, and thats a good sign. The food is very solid and reasonably priced. Its your standard Filibertos-style menu. Everything we've had is good: burritos, fish tacos, nachos, etc. You cant go wrong. The flavor, price, and consistency are all better than the other local spots. If you're in the area and looking for quick, affordable Mexican food, then this is a great choice. read more

It's good, authentic Mexican food in a casual atmosphere. Everything is reasonably priced and service is fast. I used to drive to Tempe for rellenos but Los Favs are delicious and I can avoid the commute. You're not going to replace a fine dining experience here but it's tasty and consistent. read more

We moved here from Scottsdale. LOS FAVS was our FAVORITE! We found this 1 down the road. We tried 4 times and still not good. 1 time paid for guacamole didnt get it. Favorite place to get Mexican food nearby my wherabouts. Easily take this over bigger chains like any of the berto chains including Filibertos. The food is truely what you want in Mexican style food, it is very authentic and tastes delicious. Pricing is pretty good and competitive. Been going here for years and the staff is great. Probably the best tasting horchata around and the carne asada burritos are very savory. Definitely drop by for good food. read more

It is ok. I prefer fresh, flavorful dishes. This is just like most mexican fast food. I would NOT go out of my way to eat here. Food is served on Styrofoam plates and no real flavor. $20 for two dishes, chips and guacamole seems overpriced. Oh my goodness! I have been going to this Los Favoritos regularly for years! It is late tonight and they aren't open, and I'm going there tomorrow! I'm having a craving! It is a little hole in the wall restaurant that has a steady stream of customers at all hours of the day. It back in the far northwest corner inside the plaza on the NW corner, past the 202 fwy on-ramps going East on Main, then a left turn into the plaza. Their jumbo burrito is big enough for a meal for both my big eating man and myself. I always have half of it, and only eat half of my portion, and save that 1/4 for my morning breakfast. DH always gets an extra full dinner to take to his work for lunch on Mondays. I have done the same. I have bought the Jumbo Burrito just for myself too. When I go buy our Jumbo Burrito, they call it my baby. The people who work there are very nice, always have a smile and a thank you for you. Yes, that Jumbo is that big and I do have to use both hands and a forearm to hold it in it's fat log shape. I always ask for triple cheese, costs extra but that's okay too. That huge burrito comes in at just about $11.00, which feeds two people. Can't go wrong there. They do cook all their foods fresh. They cook their own dried pinto beans from scratch too. I can tell, because I know how to cook beans, and I also can tell if beans are canned, they are not canned! IDK if they do use any canned ingredients, but if they do, they do it appropriately, maybe tomato sauces for salsa mixes, but they taste homemade. LOVE their Red Sauce. Green is good too! I am terribly picky about my beloved Mexican food! I stole a cook from a popular Mexican Restaurant, El Tarasco's in El Segundo Calif, and opened and then owned that Mexican Restaurant for 12 years. Los Favoritos has the same flavors which I crave. ALSO, I do know the quality of the ingredients they use at this restaurant. It is all good. I was very disappointed in my California chicken burrito. I went the day after Christmas. The chicken was very dry almost as if it had been cooked and sat out for a while. I kind of wonder if it was their leftover turkey from Christmas. read more

We were in Mesa and stopped here for lunch. They serve the best Chili Verde we have ever eaten, there was so much flavor to the pork. We have eaten in no less than 100 Mexican restaurants and by far this was the best. We would drive the 93 miles again just to eat here. read more
