I've driven by this place a million times and decided to stop by for a weekday lunch. Mexican sushi. Say what!?! I had no idea such a thing existed before trying out Los Mariscos Sinaloenses. A major upgrade from the former Mexico Lindo. All sorts of cooked fish sushi varieties and tropical flavors. We had a cooked sushi of fried shrimp and smoked salmon and jalapeño. Delicious. I even dipped it in the sauce that accompanied my shrimp taco. That taco was bursting with flavors and heaped with deliciousness. My wife had an al pastor taco and loved it. I got the chile verde and beef enchiladas with green sauce. My mom got the chile relleno it was too good, I kind of regret not getting one! Long delay in food having customers wait almost an hour for meals. Customers asked for some napkins and servers were giving attitude. Servers not bringing items when asking kindly. Other guests in restaurants did not proper service as well for their food and drinks. Overall lack of attention to customer snd the tone from the servers demonstrated that they did not want to be here. One server was trying her best as she was the main person trying to tend to all tables but definitely needed help. Management needs to see how their restaurant is running and should try to allocate more resources throughout the whole restaurant. read more

I heard about Mexican sushi, my fiancé and I decided to test it out. We got there during the Sunday buffet and they asked us to wait 20 mins for our sushi. I enjoyed 3 different drinks and they were all good, if I had to rate them from favorite to least favorite, I loved the Paloma, it was refreshing. The cantarito was good but it was just a bigger version of Paloma with orange juice. The mangoenada was my least favorite but it was still good. It came frozen and I only got it because the server recommended it. We ordered two sushi rolls "Hot Cheeto roll" & "Derretido Roll". The sushi was good and the presentation was so nice. My favorite was the "Derretido roll" it had steak and it was so flavorful. We also ordered a Molcajete Mar y Tierra: it was okay, the steak was perfect and the shrimp was huge, the fish was nice and soft. I didn't care for the beans, I wish they put salsa only , with beans and rice on the side. The chicken was really dry and hard to eat. We came here because a good friend recommended this spot, surprisingly my mom used to come here when it was "Mexico lindo". They gave us frijoles puercos, salsa and chips to start off. The interior is very spacious because of the double story ceiling and lots of windows. We went on a Sunday morning for brunch. They have a buffet bar but I wasn't too interested in the food. My friend recommended a few things on the menu. We ordered fish tacos, fajitas and 2 seafood dishes. Seafood and fish tastes "fresh" (not in sushi bar standard). Both the hot seafood molcajete and the camerones Al gusto are flavorful. The waiter that served us are so nice, he kept checking on how we did and introcued different things. At the end we saw the nice jar that they used to serve the coffee and he got us one with a few house made desserts to try. I'm going to give my full honest review. Environment: When sitting down, the first thing I noticed was that the tables felt pretty sticky. I would assume that this is bc of the finish being worn off? Nonetheless, the surface had a thick, sticky film. The scenery would have been nice, but felt a bit unnerving bc of how dark it was. The days are cold in this time, and the windows fogged up when my food came. Also, the restaurant was rather empty for it being the time that it was - lunch time. The waiter checked on me once the whole time I had my meal, and even gave a full party of four's worth of plates before I had even received mine. Food: Complementaries: The salsa that was served with chips consistency was pretty watery and eating it, had a musty taste to it - the way I could describe this was that it sat and had been made days before or had been accompanied by rotting food - assumption, of course. The chips tasted really stale. The meal: The guacamole also had the same musty taste, and the chicken's flavor was so off-putting, I likely wouldn't have noticed this had I not tried it separately from my burrito. The drink: Horchata had a chalky texture to it and felt scratchy when consumed. I would assume it's premixed powder instead of blended? I'm not sure. The experience wasn't pleasant.
