Outside with the OLD sign still up. A full moon and tranquil kind of day.

Mexican sushi. Say what!?! I had no idea such a thing existed before trying out Los Mariscos Sinaloenses. A major upgrade from the former Mexico Lindo. All sorts of cooked fish sushi varieties and tropical flavors. We had a cooked sushi of fried shrimp and smoked salmon and jalapeño. Delicious. I even dipped it in the sauce that accompanied my shrimp taco. That taco was bursting with flavors and heaped with deliciousness. My wife had an al pastor taco and loved it. My midori margarita was in the syrupy sweet side but that was on me by request. Friendly staff and willing to educate us on Sinaloa. Thanks!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]The outside of the building still says Mexico Lindo so when we walked in we were a little confused.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I ordered the flauta combo. One chicken and one beef. It was $19.95 extra $3 for a small dollop of sour cream and guacamole. Flauta was a little small IMO. The bean and rice were very flavorful and delicious.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Sign outside still says the name of the old restaurant... a bit confusing?[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]But it looks very nice and updated on the inside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I liked the disco lights vibe on a Friday night, and it has a bar as well.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]If you do not like very loud music I wouldn't recommend coming on a Friday night around 9pm because of loud banda, but since I love that kind of stuff it's mainly what I came for.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I ordered the ceviche de camarón and it comes with tostadas and crackers. It was very spicy but I'm a big fan of spicy foods so it was fine. I did think it really a bit too acidic for my taste though but I did finish it all. My brother ordered the hot Cheeto sushi and thought it was tasty. They have a nice variety of food on the menu so it truly does have something for all kinds of tastes. Churro sundae was phenomenal and one of the highlights of what we ate. The waitresses were extremely attentive and always checking up on us which I liked since some places kind of just seem to forget about you. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I will mention that the bathrooms definitely need a lot of TLC. With how nice the restaurant looked I kind of expected the bathrooms to be the same, but they stank and one of the stalls didn't even lock.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] But besides that I truly enjoyed my time and will come back on other occasions to listen to live music and have a fun night out!

The ceviche was delicious and what a big portion! The plates we got tasted good but didn't stand out to us. We arrived a bit before 5 pm on Friday and were seated immediately. Always nice getting chips and salsa on the house while we waited for food. Overall okay and on the pricey side for what we ordered.

So sad to see Mexico Lindo is gone 0:-( they still have the old sign up outside. but they have new signs displaying their restaurant name inside. And I really like the flowers and the bar is beautiful! The chips, salsa and the lil refried bean dip was sooo fresh and yummy. The enchiladas were amazing. I got the chile verde and beef enchiladas with green sauce. My mom got the chile relleno it was too good, I kind of regret not getting one! The refried beans were the star, so flavorful and authentic. I actually ate my mom's too haha. The rice was so fluffy and yummy 10/10. Most importantly the service was very attentive. We were greeted promptly and our server took care of us. I will be coming back soon 0:-)

I heard about Mexican sushi, my fiancé and I decided to test it out. We got there during the Sunday buffet and they asked us to wait 20 mins for our sushi. I enjoyed 3 different drinks and they were all good, if I had to rate them from favorite to least favorite, I loved the Paloma, it was refreshing. The cantarito was good but it was just a bigger version of Paloma with orange juice. The mangoenada was my least favorite but it was still good. It came frozen and I only got it because the server recommended it. We ordered two sushi rolls "Hot Cheeto roll" & "Derretido Roll". The sushi was good and the presentation was so nice. My favorite was the "Derretido roll" it had steak and it was so flavorful. We also ordered a Molcajete Mar y Tierra: it was okay, the steak was perfect and the shrimp was huge, the fish was nice and soft. I didn't care for the beans, I wish they put salsa only , with beans and rice on the side. The chicken was really dry and hard to eat. I really like this place and will come back with a group because they have drinks made for groups to share. I also would love to try the other Mexican dishes.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Great ambiance![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I love coming to this place because the food is great and the service is outstanding! Elsie, Mayra and Alejandra are some of the most attentive people I've met! Sushi is great or any other seafood here. Highly recommend this place!

First off, we thought this restaurant was still Mexico Lindo, guess we were out of the loop haha. But as soon as we walked in we realized it is not. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The interior has had some nice remodeling, but could use a bit more, especially the women's bathroom which was a little sketchy[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. The good - We were quickly greeted and seated by a server, and given chips and our drinks. Our meals came out promptly. My Camaron Tostada was pretty decent and a big portion. Although personally I could have used a bit more spice , and I'm white haha :P The so-so - The boyfriend ordered a beef chimichanga plate which was just alright nothing special about it, the sour cream and guacamole was two additional charges, which the server did tell us ahead of time. The not good - The server was very quick to get our drinks and order taken, but after those initial drinks, she never refilled. As in, the drink cups were totally empty before we received our food and empty the whole meal. It may have been semi - ok, but at one point something went down the wrong way, and I was choking and turning red from the coughs. Could have reallyyyy used some water right then. Also the women's bathroom, when I opened the door I was hit with a STRONG smell of cleaner, urine and moisture in the air. It was dingy and dark and for unknown reasons there was 2 big orange cones on the floor, maybe covering some damage? Ugh. In summary, doubt we'll be back and I think we prefer Mi Lindo Sinaloa in Newark.

We were greeted with a smile and were seated immediately, we got in before closing time, waitress gave us our menu but since I had already ate it was only for my husband, she was kind of upset that it was only one order and decided that since we were close to closing time did not provide us with chips & salsa, was beginning to think how did it end and I was not wrong, barely asked us after order was delivered if we needed anything, this is the first time I get charged for the guacamole in my plate, other restaurants the guacamole is included in the order but this place is not what it used to be, previous name was Mexico Lindo and everything changed. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Me and husband were wondering why place was so empty when we walked in[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]], if I only knew what our bill will be like I would of just went to Mexico Típico which is close by the amount of food Los 3 amigos plate it was sad $54.15 for a total I was surprised for only one person, now imagined if we would have an order for 2, I was disappointed. But had to go since the hubby wanted to try this place what a huge regret, please make sure you always ask for pricing a la carte because the guacamole was included in the plate like seriously the plate was a slap at the face not what I expect it, you judge with the pictures and the price for it.

The salsa is actually spicy and good! Everything looked delicious on your menu and it was really hard to decide what to order. Playa Azul -- Where Food Meets Genuine Human Connection As…read moresoon as we walked in, we were greeted with warmth and friendliness by Mauricio while we bobbed our heads to Hall and Oates' "Maneater" playing in the background -- followed by "Funky Little Beat" by Connie. We knew immediately this was our vibe. We sat down and read through the menu. A lot of dishes I wasn't familiar with, so naturally I defaulted to what I knew -- quesadilla de camarón. My wife did the smart thing and asked for recommendations. Mauricio suggested three dishes and she chose the last one- I think it was because something about tequila . When it was my turn, I proudly placed my order. Without missing a beat, Mauricio looked at me and said, "Bro, you can get that anywhere -- you should try this." He began describing the dish, then pointed to his dad sitting patiently at a corner table. "That's his invention." No more words needed. I said sold. Our dishes arrived and we immediately moved them to the center of the table so we could share both. I had the seafood fajitas -- shrimp, fish, fajita vegetables, and the most tender, flavorful pulpo I've ever had. All the seafood was cooked perfectly: tender but not falling apart. But the octopus and the sauce were something special. Chef Jose came to check on us and I told him about the pulpo. His eyes lit up as he began describing his preparation process -- then he said, "You want to see?" He walked me right into his kitchen and showed me the octopus being prepared. That moment alone was worth the visit. By the time we returned to our table, the restaurant had started to fill up. We continued enjoying our food, including the handmade soft tortillas that came with my dish -- don't sleep on those. Chef Jose stopped by again, sharing more stories, more passion, more of himself. Before we even finished eating, we were already planning our next visit for happy hour and dinner with the family. This is a perfect example of what Will Guidara calls Unreasonable Hospitality -- unexpected, personalized, and genuinely human. Mauricio and Chef Jose aren't just running a restaurant. They're sharing something they love, and you feel it in every bite and every interaction. Thank you, Mauricio and Jose. We'll be back.

The Fajitas de Mariscos came with tons of seafood in a savory sauce. It came with rice w/corn and beans. We also had the Camarones Costa Azul which was jumbo shrimp wrapped with bacon in a savory tomato sauce + cheese. Definitely a heavy dish but pretty tasty! I really liked the homemade tortillas here; they were so soft and went well with the shrimp and fajitas. Prices are in the higher end but portions are also huge! There seemed to be just a husband and wife when we dined. They were very welcoming and helpful with explaining the menu. Place was very spacious with lots of seating.

I have only ever left 5-star reviews because I love supporting small businesses, but after tonight,…read morewe will no longer be supporting this spot. We have been loyal regulars here for a long time, coming at least once a week. Honestly, the main reason I kept coming back and always tipped well, even when the staff was sometimes just whatever, is because the guy who owns it is always so nice, friendly, and works incredibly hard. Unfortunately, his wife handled things tonight, and the service was absolutely horrible. We ordered a steak burrito, and let me tell you, the meat was completely inedible. It was just pure gristle in every single bite, to the point where we couldn't even chew it and only ate about a fourth of it. They also forgot to give us salsa with our chips. When we called to let them know about the meat, his wife started chopping up meat on her end, arguing with me, and insisting the food was perfectly fine and fresh. My wife, who is visibly 8 months pregnant, actually walked the burrito back into the restaurant just to show her the gristle. Because the lady said to bring it back show her. Instead of making it right or offering a simple switch for a chicken burrito like my wife had asked, she completely lacked empathy and flat-out said, "I can't remake your burrito." I called back to ask what could be done to fix this, and she started telling me to stop yelling at her. I wasn't yelling at all, my other baby was screaming in the background because my wife left the house to try and get the food fixed. She then hung up the phone on me. Apparently, she told my wife she even consulted her husband before refusing to fix it. It is so unfortunate that a business we supported weekly would treat regulars this way, but they have officially lost customers for life. The owner also said she was going to reply to me on here. Waiting for an explanation of how you turned away an 8 month pregnant lady?
