Popped into Los Robles Cafe for breakfast after a concert in town, and found it to be exactly what I expected - a small, local spot with homemade food, something I'm always looking forward to. The star attraction was the huevos rancheros. I'm picky when it comes to this dish and each bite was worth it. Delicious. On the flip side, my hubby ordered a burrito and it was a bit of a letdown. It was plain and lacked the 'oomph' you'd expect from a breakfast burrito bursting with fillings. We were looking forward to a delightful flavor punch, but it sadly fell flat. Another slight hiccup we encountered was the service. Even though there were only a few tables occupied, the service was slower than we'd anticipated. We didn't mind too much, but if you're in a hurry, it might be something to consider. All in all, I'd be willing to swing by Los Robles Cafe again for those huevos rancheros, but I wouldn't go too far out of my way for it. If they can amp up the taste game on their other dishes, they could truly become a local gem. read more

i sit outside and order two tacos al pastor (only $1.50 each!) and with the double tortillas and generous amount of flavorful pork they load them with i always split them and make four tacos! i also get a small burrito with beans rice and cheese (you can add meat too and it only costs $2.95 for the whole burrito!). i also order a negro modelo and a water (cuz the salsa is a little spicy but oh so good plus you get green and red) and my whole meal costs under $10. you can not beat the price of this place nor can you beat the authentic mexican food or great flavors. the best real mexican food in town and probably slo county! read more

They even provided house salsa upon request. The burritos looked appetizing, although I haven't tasted one yet - stay tuned! I work late in downtown Paso and eat here for lunch sometimes. Friendly staff. I usually get the same waiter every time when I dine in, hes very friendly, when I order to go, they offer me a glass of water while i wait at the bar. 2 Tacos al-Pastor from the spit for $1.50 is a deal. read more

I gave the person who dropped the order off a very generous tip of 70%. I appreciated the amazing act of kindness! FOOD: We ordered an ASADA QUESADILLA, NACHOS WITH CHICKEN, TACOS AL PASTOR, and QUESABIRRIA TACOS with CONSOME. I have to be honest, because that's what a review is about.
