7th Street Burger East Village Cheese Burger without the cheese is a solid burger, are there better, maybe but this a nice quick burger grab if you don't have to wait in the long lines. French Fries are a good compliment to the burger. We went late at night just to try it, I ordered one burger and they gave us 2 more, one for each person.

Quick service, juicy burgers, delicious crispy fries! What else can you ask for?! [[HIGHLIGHT]]This is a quick stop type of place they do have two sets of tables and chairs outside on the street shed.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The menu is simple and they will accommodate if you don't like onions etc. quick lunch or dinner if your walking around the city

Now that im in the area more often, I've returned to this location in hopes of the return to its delicious orgins. Thankfully, this crew is getting back to basics. Burgers are juicy, fries crispy (get the sauce for dipping, thank me later) and the Mexican Cokes/Sprites/waters are cold. Still the best burgers in the area!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]This is pretty much a take out place with couple of seats.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The price is cheap and food is tasty. Always have a line of customers waiting for the food. Very minimal customization but I guess that's how they keep costs down. Definitely a good late night pickup.

This is the OG location of 7th St Burger in the East Village. They've come a long way with multiple locations and now have their own app. Be sure to download for the rewards! Today they offered a free smashburger on the app in honor of the 7th of May. I thought to try out a different location, so stopped by here for the first time. Staff was very friendly and prompt. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's a tiny space, but they do have outside seating in a red shed.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] You can't beat the flavor - unctuous beef, umami house sauce with cheese, onion, and pickles. It hits the spot every time!

Pulled up to the original 7th Street Burger like a real New Yorker--hungry, slightly aggressive, and ready to judge Ordered the double smashed cheeseburger: crispy edges, onions, pickles, American cheese, secret sauce all hugging that Marty's butter bun like it owes them money. First bite? Immediate silence. That's how you know it's serious. Then I made a power move and added the loaded fries--melted American cheese, onions, secret sauce, AND burger meat. That's not a side, that's a lifestyle choice. Next level. Dangerous. Borderline irresponsible. Service was fast, locked in, and on point. No nonsense. Just burgers done right. 7th Street Burger didn't ask for hype. It earned it.

7th Street Burger -- The Burger That Erased Shake Shack I don't remember exactly when it happened, but at some point, a coworker casually told me, "You should try this burger--it's really good." That burger became my favorite. For context: I used to be a serious Shake Shack loyalist. Back when it wasn't everywhere, I stood in line for it. Even after the hype cooled, I still ordered a double from time to time. I'd go out West, eat In-N-Out, and confidently say, "Yeah... Shake Shack's still better." That was me. Then 7th Street Burger happened--and Shake Shack quietly exited the conversation. This burger hits my exact preferred texture. They use Martin's potato buns (a major plus), but it's more than that. Something about the way the bun, patty, cheese, and onions come together feels different. Some people say it's too melty. That's precisely why I love it. There are no distinct layers. No structure to analyze. It's one unified bite. Buttery. Deeply cheesy. Soft beef. The bun practically dissolves. Everything melts into itself. I could easily eat two--maybe three--double burgers without hesitation. I love richness, so I can do extra cheese... but I wouldn't recommend it. My wife struggled a bit (for good reason). I also appreciate that they only serve Mexican Coke. Small detail, great instinct. I've tried multiple locations, and the consistency is impressive. And yes--eating it in person is at least three times better than delivery. No contest. During our recent burger tour, we finally stopped by the original 7th Street location. Flavor-wise, no dramatic difference from the others. Which is exactly the point. It's consistently excellent. No theatrics. No gimmicks. Just a phenomenal burger. This one's special.

I am a BIG burger girl and this was a top place on our list to try in the city. That said, the burger was GOOD! Would I say best burger we had in New York? No; however, it was juicy and full of flavor with melty cheese and delicious grilled onions, which is all you can really hope for in a smash burger. The line moved pretty quick and the staff was friendly and efficient. They do a nice job of wiping off the tables for new guests. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Small inside but plenty of seating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Check it out if you're looking for a tasty burger!

Best smash burger I've ever had. Perfect ratio of cheese bun meat and toppings. For it just the way it comes and wouldn't have it any other way. Delish!

Me and babe got in super late from our delayed flight and we're starving. The reviews said this place was so good so we had to give it a try. When in NY, I don't think you can have a bad taste bud so we went for it. Burger was 25/10!! Everything was perfect. I mean the perfect texture and flavor. We got one another night as well along with the burger fries. You don't see a pic of them because they were GONE. Vanished from our sight into our bellies. Can't wait to get another one.

I stopped in here for lunch. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I didn't realize this was more of a take out spot. They did have a small bench outside to sit and eat.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I ordered a cheeseburger to go. I didn't like any of the sides and they didn't have any sweet potatoe fries. I waited until I got home to eat my burger and the side salad I purchased. Honey that burger was delicious. I was disappointed i didn't get the larger burger. The burger was nicely seasoned and the bun was fresh and fit the burger. I would definitely return for a bigger burger.

The burger was so flavorful and cheesy. I went two times while visiting New York.

The burger and fries were seasoned to perfection. The jalapeño peppers and pickles gave it an additional yummy taste. It was affordable as well. This is a must visit when in New York or if you live in the city.

This burger was absolutely delicious. There was a long line to get food, but when I finally got the food it was worth it. The inside was small, but what you'd expect of your typical burger joint. Overall you come to a place like this for the burger, and the burger was amazing. Would definitely recommend

We were thrilled to find two seats at the end of the bar when we arrived. As luck would have it, the two gentlemen next to us eventually left, allowing us to slide over and enjoy an even better view of the TV for the rest of the game. I started with a Tito's and club soda, but unfortunately, something seemed off--perhaps the club soda was flat. The drink just wasn't good. To their credit, the bartender took it back without hesitation and was very accommodating. I then ordered a Negroni after the woman sitting next to us highly recommended it. I don't usually drink gin, but this cocktail was absolutely delicious and changed my mind. Since we were there for several hours, we shared an order of zucchini and eggplant chips and happily snacked on them throughout the game. The atmosphere was comfortable and welcoming, with a nice mix of ages and people enjoying the evening. We made sure to leave our bartender a generous tip since we occupied our seats for the entire game. Even though the Knicks didn't pull out a win that night, we certainly didn't leave defeated. I'd happily return for another game, cocktail, and fun evening out. And maybe even get dinner there. Little did I know there was another big room in the ack once you past the restrooms. They were having a thriving business there!

He was constantly busy zippin around but maintained a nice demeanor and made everyone feel welcome! Must orders of mine: the burger! Although small, it comes out piping hot and the fresh white onion between the bottom bun and burger is awesome because it doesn't make the bottom bun soggy and catches all the juices from the actual meat. Love subbing the fries for a Caesar salad! Standout appetizer is the fried zucchini and eggplant with tzatziki-- crispy, hot, juicy and I get it every time!

The…read morepull apart truffle monkey bread was our initial reason for coming, and although the price point was quite steep, I would say it's worth the try. The bread was fluffy and not dry, which I had seen previous reviews say before. Paired with the creamy truffle butter, it had a luxurious mouthfeel. My favorite was the pork chop (cognac, sweet prunes, bacon, rosemary) -- the sweet and soft texture of the prune was melted in my mouth like fat, and the pork was tender, with the rosemary also coming through. The vodka rigatoni was a skip, somewhat bland and one-note, we ended up putting some of the truffle butter and garlic aioli from the fries to make it more flavorful. This was especially in contrast with the spicy shrimp pasta which was much tastier. Also got the strawberry vacherin (strawberry ice cream, meringue, vanilla whipped cream), it was my first time having this dessert. The tartness of the strawberry was great with the fluffy meringue and the sweet ice cream. Service was extremely attentive, and the restaurant is beautifully decorated with moody lighting. Although the space was packed, it didn't feel too loud or crowded. We spent about two hours and didn't feel rushed.

I went on a Thursday night, and the place was absolutely packed. The front feels more like a bar/casual area, while the dining room is tucked toward the back. My reservation was at 10:15 PM, so I actually had a light dinner beforehand and ordered a little lighter than I normally would. I got: - Truffle Monkey Bread ($34.99) - Prime Rib French Dip ($39.99) - Pommes Frites ($13.99) - Banana Split Sundae ($24.99) I thought the prices were definitely on the higher end when I first sat down, but the Truffle Monkey Bread is divine! Honestly, it's probably in my top 3 bread experiences of my life. If you love truffle, butter, cheese, and basically everything good in life, please get this. It comes out slightly warm and is just incredible. I will probably dream about this bread. The French Dip was good, although it was a little too salty for me. If I get the chance to come back, I'd probably try one of their actual steaks instead. The pommes frites were super crispy, basically McDonald's fries but elevated. The Banana Split Sundae was so pretty. I loved how they placed all the little treats around the crevices/imprints of the dish (not sure how else to describe it ). It's huge, though, so definitely don't expect to finish it yourself. I'd recommend sharing it with 3+ people. I was also celebrating an anniversary, and they brought out a strawberry scoop for us. It tasted homemade and really fresh. I could actually see pieces of strawberry in it, which I loved. The restaurant is definitely on the pricier side, and getting a dinner reservation can be a struggle, but I'd absolutely go again if I got the chance. The decor is cozy and upscale, the food was excellent, and the whole place has a really nice atmosphere. My only real complaint was that our waitress kept pushing us to order more, which got a little annoying, especially since we had already ordered quite a bit. Overall: expensive + difficult reservation, but absolutely worth trying. And please get the truffle monkey bread.
