Figured I would give something totally new a shot today and can't say I regret it or should have done it. This place is just ok. Nothing special about it at all. I agree with everyone else that the parking is easy but other than that its a pretty forgettable meal. The food was ok, not great, not bad, and there was enough of it to be content. Best Chile Verde I've ever tasted Having grown up in LA, I know mexican food. My family has eaten here for years and it's still up at the top of my list for an amazing taco plate. I've had better quality food at Albertos in El Monte off Rosemead Blvd (this is far away). I really liked the quality of the carne asada, it actually was pretty good! Well, it's pretty hard to mess up carne asada... Anyway, the rice was yummy, guacamole was delicious. However, I hate it when people put too much to much tomato in my guacamole.. They actually had quite a bit but since I was so hungry, it didn't matter too much to me, and it probably wouldn't bother any of you guys. The flan was actually terrible. I don't know if it was just me or if it's all their flan, but it make me feel like throwing up. It was extremely sweet, and it didn't have the right consistency of flan. After I finished my horchata, I watered the flan down with all the ice and had it a few hours later. Still was pretty nasty. The horchata wasn't the best. I think the mix was really off. The horchata tasted like there was too much water and not enough cinnamon or rice. The horchata was pretty bad in my opinion, but if you prefer less sweet horchata, then you might actually like it. It was okay, but I was really hoping that it was sweeter and more cinnamonny. They probably mixed up the flan recipe with the horchata recipe? Haha. Came to this establishment because I had a Groupon. I really should have listened to the previous reviewers... The food is greasy! You can literally squeeze oil out of the asada taco. I went here when I was craving tacos and couldn't find a truck. I ordered tacos to go (al pastor and beef) for around $1.60 each. I liked the al pastor better than the carne asada. I'm never a fan to go out for mexican but I was rather pleased with my meal especially since they gave me the options of a sampler plate with a enchilada, taco and something else (I totally forgot.) I live three blocks from here and go at least twice a month. I have no room for gigantic burritos, but I take home flan. Very decent mole and verde. After 17 years of soft shell tacos, my new kick is their hard shell tacos. They would get four stars if they offered a selection of salads or even some beer. Five if there were decent parking as well, but I know when to avoid the parking lot. IMHO some foods should be eaten within 20 minutes or forget it. Fried chicken, pizza, and Mexican food among them. Although flan and rice do well with refrigeration. BTW if they have to ask you "flour or corn tortillas," it's usually not an authentic spot. This place is at least authentic. Flour tortillas are for quesadillas only. If you like tacos with flour tortillas, knock yourself out, but please don't tell people you are a huge Mexican food fan, because you aren't. read more

At one time this was my go to place for tasty Mexican takeout. The people behind the counter were friendly, quick, and pleasant. The place was clean and inviting. But that has all changed. The last time we were there the woman behind the counter rolled her eyes when I asked the difference between 2 types of Burritos. The food was dry, bland, cold, and tasteless. The only thing bigger than this crap was my turd I laid after eating this. soft serve status. This was no joke... this is a "Super Burrito" weighing about 1 1/2 pounds easily. It wasn't bad tasting either... maybe too much lettuce, but the chicken was shredded to perfection and tender as well. I ordered the 4 taco plate with green chile, birria, pollo, and machaca. The green chile and pollo were pretty good, the machaca was really good, but the birria.... oh the BIRRIA! I can't say for sure that it's the BEST taco I've ever had, but if not the best then it surely deserves second place. My buddy took me here for lunch and it was pretty good. Had the Chile Verde Burrito and it was HUGE. Salsa bar is a great chance to try several difference sauces ranging from Mild to Hot. Food is prepped very quickly, so you could easily get it To-Go and easily get back to the office. Only hang up is Parking at Lunch time is terrible.
