DO NOT COME TO THIS SALON! The staff are rude and a man named Rick that works there does not know how to treat someone's hands. Roy took off my acrylics and did everything wrong. He was clipping my nails and cut deep into my skin under my nails on both hands and caused me to bleed. He also ripped 2 of my nails in half. I kept telling him I was in pain and he ignored it. He never said sorry for ruining my nails and I left the salon with some of my acrylics still on because I couldn't let him finish. When I called back I told the manager Emily and she said she talked to the workers. She said that one guy apologized and that Roy said it didn't happen. I sent her photos of my nails like she asked me to and she never texted me back. 2 of my nails are not healing and they won't do anything about it. They are trying to bush it off but they do not know how to do nails there! read more

Bubbly and uneven manicure. I had a gel over acrylic fill. I asked for a french ombré and was told that can only be done with gel polish and it was done with a sponge. My cuticle was cut by the filing machine. The free edge of my nails weren't covered by nail polish. When I went home I had to file and shape my nails myself because they weren't done that well. 2 stars for the girl that did my awesome gel pedicure. My experience was not worth the $70 I paid for my services. read more

Small and clean shop with Perfect prices and the way Lisa files my nails are perfect! so glad that I found a spot down the street to get my nails done with great customer service, affordable prices and that actually does a good job! They should be ashamed of themselves. I have been a client (a GOOD client) here for nearly 2 years. I called this morning, spoke to Lisa, and made an appointment for today at 3:30pm for 2 pedicures (myself and a friend) as well as a fill for myself. I hit some traffic, so at 3pm I called, spoke to Lisa again, and asked to push the appointment back to 4:00, which she did. Fast forward to 4:02, when I entered the salon. Every pedicure chair was filled and Lisa immediately looked panicked. Lisa normally greets me with a "Hi Honey! Good to see you!" Today, she jumped up, came over and launched right into a story about how, since I hadn't showed for my "3:45" appointment, she took a few walk-ins. I corrected her that my appointment was at 4:00. She proceeded to show me the book, where she had crossed out my 3:30 appointment, circled 4:00 and written my name next to it. Meanwhile, she argued that it said 3:45. I pointed out more than once that 4:00 was circled and 3:45 wasn't written anywhere. My friend also looked at the book and confirmed that I was not crazy. At one point, Lisa even began to argue with me that the appointment was at "FOUR! FOUR" and I said "yes, four o clock" and she replied "Yes- 3:45!" ............(insert my blank, dumbfounded stare) No apology, no alternative offered, nothing. She couldn't have cared less. It was ridiculous, Lisa made a fool of herself in front of a salon full of customers and they lost a loyal client. Stella Making Beauty in Burbank has always been my backup, and just got bumped up to numero uno. Bummer. read more

Why is it that Lotus nails advertises that they open at 10am and will even make an apt. For you at 10am while u sit and wait outside until till 10:20 or 10:25am when they decide to roll in late and still have to get the shop open and get ready to work. It's so rude and inconsiderate. read more

I went for the first time on a Sunday mid-morning without an appointment, I waited in the pedicure chair for about 10 minutes soaking. The staff was very friendly, checked on me frequently, making sure I was fine and offered me bottled water. I didn't mind waiting in the chair, they were starting to get busy. I noticed they didn't tell new customers how long the wait was unless they asked. The shop is nice and I'll go back. I had the regular $17 pedicure. The work done was good, the massage was long, but light, it felt like they just wanted to get the lotion massaged in, but that's typical these days at most nail salons, I rarely find a "real massage" with a pedicure. I liked that their tools were packaged which means they steam clean them. Unless you go early in the day, you may want to call ahead to reserve a time, or you may wait in the chair 10-30 minutes. I have nothing bad to say. read more

I've had three gel manicures in my life. The first was a disaster because they painted the stuff over my cuticles, so they grew, the gel peeled off. The second was a disaster because the guy was as clumsy as me, and spent more time wiping spilled poilsh than applying it to the nail! Then I found Joey. I was the first customer in the door when I arrived (early) for my appointment, and I asked if I could pop around the corner to get a cup of coffee. They have coffee there! (OK - it's horrible coffee, but that's the only bad part -- they meant well!). The place is spotless and so are the tools. Joey couldn't have been nicer or more accommodating. She knew her stuff, did not try to up-sell, and did a fantastic job at a reasonable price. I am going back for a pedicure! Kudos! read more

I have benn coming to Lotus on and off for a few months. The staff is generally pleasant, with the exception of Lisa's husband, who is rude and moody. Although when they first took over the business he was over the top accommodating, by offering tea, coffee, water, chips....not anymore! Their nail services are not up to par, the pedicures are often flawed, uneven nails, polish is not precise...gels are applied to close to the cuticle, therefore they tend to peel within a week. As for the acrylics, again uneven in shape and polish, cuticles are left rugged. This has been my experience....although I have returned many many times. I do believe in giving nail salons the opportunity to prove themselves. I cannot find a Salon that can deliver prestige, precise work.... ;( ....hopefully Lisa will read this so she can improve her service. read more

very unprofessional. this place actually "opens" at 10:30. I made appointments for two at 1030. we arrived at 1020 and everything looked closed. the sign on the door said that they open at 11:30. shortly after we arrived another young lady did too. she also had an appointment at 10:30. 5 minutes later two more girls. a neighboring shop owner came out and told us that someone would be there in 15 min. I peeked inside and they were a very small establishment. with the amount of people waiting it was going to be a very tight fit. we waited for 15 and nothing. people make appointments for a reason. Worst customer service! I began going here when they first opened for some reason I stopped going. Recently I went back and was happy with my gel manicure, but after two weeks I tried going again and was denied service because they were "busy". They asked me to come back later, really? With some many nail shops in Burbank why would I come back? Terrible service, they really need to get it together and learn how to run a business! The workers in this place were so RUDE, nobody greeted me when I came in, and every time I asked for a small change (could you file that nail a little more or, I have an ingrown nail can you remove) they seemed to have an attitude and huffed and puffed about it. This nail salon is under new management and they are doing a wonderful job. As soon as I walked in I felt welcomed. Lisa waxed my eyebrows fantastically. She takes her time and tries to make it as painless as possible. I also got a pedicure by Hazel. She did a great job. The salon is clean and relaxing. Came here after work for a gel mani. Amy gives an amazing gel set and pedi! They provide many selections for polish color. After 3 weeks my gel nails are still holding up pretty well. I liked that when I left Amy gave me a card; after 9 nail services with a signature the 10th service would be $10 off! Never seen that offer before at any other nail salon. The nail salon is small; four tables for manicures and four spa chairs but the salon is clean. The parking can be difficult because the lot is small. If the parking lot is full the next option is free street parking or timed residential. read more

I will say that as I was reading my kindle while getting this manicure, my neck started hurting because of me looking down constantly. They are a little more expensive than your average nail shop, however, you will not find this service anywhere. You are offered tea or cucumber water and never feel as if you are being rushed. I had the most pleasant experience here! I really hope the polish stays for a decent amount of time (actually my only hesitation in giving a 5). I was late for my appointment by 30mins :-( but Lisa got me started nearly right away (I had asked for her from reading other Yelp reviews). She was kind, accommodating, an excellent massage person, and most importantly she did a perfect mani/pedi. When I complemented her on her great arm,leg,hand massage and told her I could see why she had such great reviews, she told me that every tech in there gives the same type of great service. Side story:met a lovely lady there who turned me on to my color of the moment and she let me in on their frequent card program where you keep getting stamps until you receive a free pedicure! She also told me that she has been coming there since Jan of this year and is consistently happy with them. I am very OCD about my nails and some say I have unrealistic expectations of how I like my nail art. I heard about Lotus through a coworker and was a little nervous about trying a new place. When I got there, the staff was warm and inviting, and Lisa is amazing! Her kindness and creativity went above and beyond my expectations. I showed her a picture of what I wanted, and she duplicated it perfectly! Lastly, for the wonderful quality of service I received, I was shocked at how reasonable their prices are-and they quote you a price before the service begins, so no surprises! 5 stars for Lotus! I moved to Santa Clarita 2 yrs. ago and couldn't find anyone that did what I wanted within a reasonable price. I chose to go back to my nail place in Pasadena DJ Nails. It's a commute but I thought worth it. I was working in Burbank and my friend told me to try her nail place, Lotus Nails. Her nails looked nice so I did. I love this place. I definitely recommend making an appt. because they are popular. Lisa does exactly what I ask and I change my style up often. They are so reasonably priced. I will continue coming here. I went here the day after I got engaged with a nice new ring on my finger. They gave me two employees who obviously had little experience. Actually the gentleman who did my nails seemed experienced, but he didn't seem to pay much attention. He messed up five of my 10 fingernails. The person who appeared to be the owner who was very capable had to come over and redo them. The girl who did my toenails was definitely new and that's ok, except she did a really messy job. Also, I was there for 2 1/4 hours for just gel manicure and regular pedicure. I could've flown to Portland in the time it took for everything. The owner seemed good at her job and the place was clean, but I will never go back due to the sub-par nail job of the other employees and the long amount of time it took. read more

But as a man who likes to get his nails done I thought they handle the job pretty well. I mean I had a lot of work for them to do and they took it stride without a word. First timer here and let me tell you I found me new nail salon place! I was looking for something very close to work and this place in literally down the street from me, so it's super convenient. When I went in, I can't lie that it was a little small. I went to their nail color selection and i don't know if it was just my eyes or if they had the colors all organized. Maybe some were misplace around but I found the perfect light pink that I was looking for. I got a pedi and a full set for $46 ($28 full set $18 pedi). The lady that did my pedi.... She's an angel! She actually gave me a well worth foot massage and made me feel so relaxed. My toes looked absolutely perfectly clean and fresh when she was done. I definitely recommend her and would love to go back to her again. Then Amy was taking care of my full set. She made sure they looked absolutely stunning too! I asked for the coffin shape nails and she met my exact expectations. I wanted to make sure I had fresh beautiful nails before my trip to Vegas and they reached every expectation as possible.
