Great guys. Had a Jeep with a horrible front end creak. After my normal mechanic gave up, they had four mechanics work four hours on it, trying to trace it down but weren't sure. Finally gave me their best advice to change out the ball joint. NO CHARGE for the four hours of labor because they weren't happy they couldn't give me a definitive answer! Bought a ball joint, they changed it--problem solved after other mechanics and friends just shook their heads. Highly recommend. read more

I never do these but this business went out of their way to continuously lie to me so I must. I paid $900 to have them straighten my frame. What was supposed to be a week was 5 weeks. Fast forward 10 months I go to have it painted and body guy says frame is still bent!! I tow it there and another 5 weeks later and lots of lying my body guy says not only not straight but the used a board and hammer and tried banging my fender outward while damaging the mounting hole to radiator support. I give up on them and tow it to another shop. 6 hours later it's fixed and now ready for aligning panels. Louis frame made no effort to help me but spent a lot of time lying to me and after a total of 10 weeks in their shop it was all I could take-never again. I wrote off the was money and got my car out of there fast as I could after that latest scam. I will never recommend them to anyone. read more

Surrounding area and shop look really shady but they do great work and are fairly priced.they work fairly quickly. just don't go during lunchtime because they don't take shifts so you'll be waiting for an hour the whole shop closes down. read more

I had a rear axle that was not sitting on the frame right, after being in an accident. I set up an appointment with Phil and he fallowed through with getting it straight in one day just like he said he would. Very reasonable on price and they do excellent work. Everyone was also very personable and easy to talk to you. I went here because they were referred to me by friend and Louis Frame did not disappoint! 4 stars for the actual work, 2 stars for the customer service. Overall average: 3 stars. Brought my classic Chevy truck in to have the brake lines split into two, and change the master cylinder from single to dual. $255 labor. Fair price IMHO. The guy that runs the place didn't seem very interested in future work though. I was planning to get a quote for a complete 4-wheel disc brake conversion later in the summer along with frame modifications so that I can lower my truck. But when I got there to pick up my truck, the main guy running the place looked like he was too busy talking to his friend. He didn't greet me or ask if there was anything else I needed. I just paid the secretary and left with my truck. Oh well maybe I am expecting too much? or maybe he is a Ford or Mopar guy? Anyhow I will just do the disc conversion myself. read more

From the perspective of a father 3000 miles away from a daughter with major brake problems. Our daughter is an outdoor educator and lives in her Sprinter. She had a brake failure and Phil drove out to her, drove her van back to the shop and immediately started the trouble shooting and repairs. in less then 24 hours he had the problem identified, parts ordered and performed other preventative maintenance in order to safely restore her home on wheels. He was willing to keep me informed throughout the process and provide me the confidence that he could complete the work. His prices are very competitive and reasonable. I had a "clank" noise issue in the front suspension of my great running 155,000 mi '99 GMC Yukon and wanted a suspension specialist to check it out and see what I needed to fix it. I was thinking it might need a rebuild. Nope, after an inspection, all that was needed was to tighten up the bolts on my front shocks. No more clanking noise which pleases me greatly. read more

My husband had a frame problem, and by problem I mean a big one. We were recommended to come here and the experiance was amazing. Amazing people, and good work ethics. They did take a little long because it was the holiday season, and they were waiting on parts too, so it wasn't their fault, but even though we had these inconveniences they kept calling and keeping us updated. But when they started working on the truck they did everything in 2 or 3 days which is amazing. Amazing job. Totally recommend read more

My boyfriend took my car to get serviced on 6/16 they explained that I needed a new bearing and CV axle. Unfortunately they wouldn't have the part until tomorrow, Saturday. That then required my boyfriend having to pay for a rental car and driving me 60 miles to work then 60 miles back for my car and did the trip once more. They had their technician come in on his day off to install the parts. Then just ten days later, after I had traveled 12 hours up north to Washington for my vacation, I heard a strange sound in the same area they worked on. I took it in to a shop off the I-5 in Lakewood and explained I had just had work done and now was hearing a strange sound. Luckily they were able to schedule me, do a test drive, and told me it was the same issue. I just paid over $800, to Louis Frame Wheel & Brake 10 days ago for nothing. The team at Lakewood told me that the catalog numbering for my vehicle was incorrect and the CV axle for an standard is actually the one for an automatic. Regardless the technician installing the parts should know the proper fit. This means Louis' team failed to see the parts did not fit correctly and forced them together, it also means their tech did not bother to compare the old part with the new part. Because when I looked at them, they were obviously two different lengths. While waiting at the shop in Washington, we called Louis in Fresno to explain what happened and they told us they would get back to us by the end of the day to see how they would handle this matter. They never did and my boyfriend had to call them again. They still had no answer for us. So we got an uber and spent the night on an air mattress at a friends house. The next day we ubered back to the place in Washington and they were finishing up my car so AGAIN we gave the Louis a call and again they said they would get back to us. That's three phone calls and a night that we get no update about any refund or anything. Finally the agreed to refund us a partial amount until we returned home with the parts. Then they would refund us the remaining balance. Finally days later my boyfriend and I both turn the parts back to Louis and I couldn't believe the horrible customer service we received. The front desk went to the side room to show the manager, or Louis, or whoever he was, (I don't know because no one besides the front desk came out to speak with us) the parts. The guy there said something about possibly being able to return something to their supplier. I couldn't believe they would still try to return the parts even after being used for 2,000+ miles. Eventually after inspecting the parts for nearly 5 minutes he says he "take care of them". The front desk guy comes back and asks for my card for the refund. He gives us a lousy sorry. There was no sincere apology from anyone in that shop. The tech that installed the parts gave us a look and just walked right by. Whoever was in charge never came out to speak to us or apologize for any of the inconvenience (extra time and money spent) that their team caused us. This was THE BIGGEST hassle of any auto issue that I've had. I'm just happy I was able to get my money back. Do not go to Louis Frame Wheel & Brake, they obviously do not care about their customer's safety or the safety of others on the road. read more

I went in on Thursday and discussed a problem I was having with the front end alignment on my 1953 Ford. This car is a show car with a lot of money invested in it. I explained it could not be left unattended or parked where it might be damaged. We agreed that I would bring the car in on Tuesday morning at 9am and they would check out the problem. When I arrived they acted like I hadn't talked to them. The gal flipped through her desk calendar and said she didn't have any appointment written down! What a liar!! So they had me park my car which I had to constantly move so they could get cars in and out of the shop. No room to park! I finally left!!! Don't waste your time and money with these people. They are other places you can go to in Fresno!!! read more

After going to another shop and not getting my issues resolved I began asking around at car shows who did good work on suspensions, alignment etc. Several car guys recommended Louis Frame. I contacted Candy who was very helpful and set up my appointment. My car needed a height adjustment, alignment, and to fix a bad play in the steering. Took my truck in for a crack in the frame near the steering box an alignment and also the truck was bent in the middle they had the truck for three days and everything turned out great the truck is nice and straight again and the frame is repaired they even added a little extra support by the steering box. When I picked up my truck i looked over everything extra careful as this truck is taken off road more than most I noticed that there was a spot missing some welds Byron took it back in an fixed it right away they even moved another car out to get it done right then.
