Was looking to buy a new purse at LV. Not something I have done in the past, but saw a couple of styles that interested me. I stopped at the Neiman Marcus in Fashion Island and they were very helpful and courteous. I continued my search at South Coast Plaza LV store. When I walked in, no one greeted me or offed any help. I also didn't appreciate the "looks" that I was given from the staff. When I finally caught someone's attention for some help, they were very rude, and when I mentioned I was only looking, I was obviously wasting their time. There was another person next to me that was asking them to authenticate her purse she brought in....interesting enough, they wouldn't do it!!! Didn't surprise me with the attitude I got too! Came in to exchange UN-WORN shoes I had bought in Hawaii 10 days earlier that were a half-size too big. They told me they would not exchange them because they had been worn. The bottom of the shoes have fuzz color the same color as the dust bag the store provided. It is only my fault for not carefully inspecting the shoes before I left the Hawaii store because I can offer no other explanation than the dust bag but is responsible for the "damage". I am upset because the clerk told me the shoes had been worn when they in fact have not, they talked to me like they assume I have worn them and just wanted to return them. Bad services. read more

I haven't written a Yelp review in a long time, but I felt compelled to do so today because I received the absolute best customer service at this LV boutique, specifically the fragrance section. The sales associate Daniela and her manager, (unfortunately his name escapes me, but he was a tall handsome gentleman) were so helpful especially since my situation was unique. I unfortunately was sold the wrong LV travel fragrance set at the London Heathrow Airport location. The SA that was helping me was new and sold me the refills not knowing the atomizer was not included. I was really upset about this because I was so excited about my purchase and couldn't wait to use it. As soon as I landed back in LA, I contacted LV customer service right away and explained what happened. They suggested I needed to go to a boutique and remedy the issue there. I was really concerned as the main reason why I bought this item at Heathrow Airport was to save on the CA sales tax as well as receive a VAT refund. Also, the currency from pounds to dollars was another concern since they're different, making this issue even more complicated. Long story short, Daniela and her manager were able to remedy this issue smoothly and were very kind and helpful during the whole process. It was my first time coming to the South Coast LV location (Level 2 near Nordstrom) and it was a great experience! Each person I interacted with went ABOVE AND BEYOND to take care of me! My husband and I went on a Saturday and got in line 10 minutes before they opened. At that point there was already approx 30 people in line. It took about 20 minutes for me to reach the front of the line where I received a warm greeting and was asked how they'd be able to assist me today. I gave them the specific purse and wallet I was looking for and they took my name down and asked me to browse the store and someone would be with me shortly. Within a minute Nikki introduced herself to me and took me to a counter where she was able to help me further. I gave her the items i was looking for and she brought the items for me to examine and try out. Unfortunately the purse was unavailable in the interior color I wanted but Nikki quickly checked with the LV California Dreams location (Level 1 of the mall) and they put the items on hold for me. At the CA Dreams store I did not need to wait in line to enter the store because they were already expecting me. In fact, multiple staff knew to expect me and I was overwhelmed by how attentive they all were. Adrian quickly brought my items out and gave me the opportunity to examine them. We chit chatted about how the purse was for my mom then he rang me up, boxed everything up, recommended somewhere that my husband and I would be able to have lunch and then walked us out the store. Such amazing service all around and it took less than an hour! I went into this experience thinking I would spend hours at the store and have bad experiences like others on yelp. I'm happy to say that my visit far exceeded my expectations and the associates were a pleasure to work with! And this was my first time ever in an LV store :). read more

Walked into the store on a normal Tuesday afternoon, not too busy at all. Walked around for a minute trying to see an available SA. A couple SA walked right past me not even asking if I needed help or have been helped, typical. After standing around for a little bit, the one and only amazing Brandon asked if I've been helped and apologized for the delay. I asked him if he had 2 key pouches in stock (DE & Mono) I was told from a previous store that this location had 1 and I had let him know. He searched far and wide, back and forth, upstairs and on the floor, for that 1 key pouch I was in need of for gifting! But no luck. He apologized once again but totally not his fault! I really did appreciate his efforts in going crazy looking for this item for me. He gave me his card and told me he would let me know if he gets any shipment in and advised me the best time to come in. Fast forward to today at around 4pm, I get a text with a picture of both key pouches in DE & Mono! I couldn't believe it! He found them for me! Yay x100! So at this point - transaction in the making. Bought my very first LV fragrance today and I am so in love! One of the fragrance specialists Mika (Mica?) helped me out and she was so sweet and nice. She was easy going and laughed even when my boyfriend and I were having fun smelling all the sample sticks. She helped me decide between the cœur battant and/or attrape-reves. I went with the latter, but I'll definitely be coming back (hopefully she will be on shift) I purchase another fragrance from her. Unfortunately, I didn't get samples though so will remember to ask next time. This store is hit or miss with the SAs so sometimes I brush them off or go to another LV boutique for bag/SLGs purchases. If they have the item then great if not then oh well. As far as quality issues, none so far but I really critique the items before purchase or return. No shame this stuff is pricey. read more

I bought LV sunglasses less than two months ago. The frame is already coming off. I took the glasses to the LV store today and showed them the issue. I didn't want this to be repaired anymore because I barely bought it less than two months ago and it made no sense that $733 sunglasses are already coming apart with handful times of use. Store manager sent me to their repair shop on the third floor who said that they needed to send this to QA! Manager repeated the same thing again. I wonder if QC was done before the item was placed in the store. So now i don't have product or the money I paid for it. The insane part is that the repair estimate shows to be $195 on the agreement. I'm out of words. I have never had issue like this with any brand item before. LV might have been good in the past but I guess their quality of products have changed since then. For the price you pay here, you would hope that they would pay attention to you, and that they did! Not sure about all the other reviews here, but we were treated with uptmost attention, even followed around the store and shown every single item available, with even customized questions brought to the manager's attention. Our sales person was Leo; he made our trip here a very enjoyable one, didn't rush us, was very attentive and accommodating. He made the buying experience here well worth the money, with even a custom engraving of initials. His french accent added to the experience and the authenticity. If you're really into LV, the Vegas boutique in Caesar's is your best bet if you want the whole shopping experience. I'll be honest - I fully understand that the odds of having a good visit at this location at any time is low. The security team will barely acknowledge you. SA: -begins short but just as vague explanation of just what that means- Me: "So how long of a wait am I looking at?" SA: "About 4-6 months." Me: "I can't wait 4-6 months!" I've been to a lot of LV stores, but this location is my least favorite. The store itself is huge, but the service, yuck! My youngest sister loves LV, so for her Bday,the Mr. and I decided to get her a purse she'd been eyeing for some time. Let me just start out by saying, I don't get dressed up when I'm shopping. I always wonder why people at South Coast dress like they're bar hopping. I usually dress in a simple shirt and jeans... I wouldn't call that bummy. But I obviously don't scream "I've got money" since no one approached us at all. We were standing at the Mono counter for a very long time. Granted it was crowded, but the least they could do was acknowledge our existence. But nope... no one bothered to ask if we needed help. What I don't understand is they have so many employees there, and some are just standing around doing nothing, so I'm not sure why they don't help. Honestly, if it wasn't because we were last minute shoppers, we would probably have left and purchased the bag elsewhere. But since we're an hour away from presenting the gift to my sister, we had no choice but to get it there. Hubby finally had to go up to one of the sales people. That was probably the easiest sales he ever made; we just asked for the bag to be wrapped and we're ready to go. So, while waiting for the purse to be wrapped, we walked around the store. We did a full circle and came back to the register only to find it wasn't ready. Not only was the gift NOT wrapped, the sales person decided to take a break and was no where to be found. He just abandoned the bag in the back room. Again, if it's not because of lack of time, we would have left. By now, I was boiling mad. I asked for the manager. To her credit, she was very nice and very apologetic. I sent the corporate a loooooong letter describing the incident, and I did get a response apologizing for the incident. My mom, sister and I have been long time LV collectors, so imagine all the $$ they have made off our family. The least they could do was provide us with a better service. It's not like the quality of their bags have increased. In fact, the quality of their bags have gone down hill over the years. Honestly, this incident has turned me off LV completely. To some, this incident may be small and think I'm probably over reacting. But if you're spending $1000+/bag, you deserve to be treated with respect. Ok, for a girl who loves me some LV, I have to say every time I come here, I get snubbed. Excuse me, I know Marc Jacobs designs the bags, I can name all the various sizes and names and I own quite a few pieces of LV ranging from shoes to bags to wallets to...um, honey pay no attention to this review...It's all fake LV in my closet I swear! . LOL I concur with Jane. One star says it all. Service is TERRIBLE. You'd think with all the money you're paying for their merchandise they'd actually invest a dime of it to properly train their employees. The employees here look as if they've had too much botox because of their inability to smile. If you MUST purchase LV you're better off going to their boutique located at the entrance of Bloomingdales. You'll be able to make your purchase without all of the pretentiousness. I brought my bags in noticing that the handles started to discolor and all they did was tell me to buy another one. Their BS explanation was that women in CA use hand lotion whereas in Europe they don't so the handles will discolor as well as the bags because of exposure to sunlight. First of all where is your store located? Yes that's right CA! 2nd of all no I don't bake my bags in the sunlight they have very little exposure as a matter of fact. 3rd of all I use lotion not hand dye. All of my girlfriends experienced the same problem with their bags. You're paying for the label not the quality. Also keep your bags out of the rain. The water spots will stain your bag no matter how much you spent on them. BTW your home address will be displayed on all gift receipts. I had to make some purchases as thank you gifts for clients and had to ask for a reprint WITHOUT my personal info. A lazy a$$ manager told me to just cut it off. Are you kidding me? Get off your lazy a$$ and hit the reprint key. He was about to get an imprint of a manhattan bag permanently imprinted on his face if he kept trying to talk me out of getting a proper receipt. I came in to buy my first ever LV bag so i was very indecisive of what I wanted to get. I didnt get a chance to know the girl who helped me but she was exceptional and patient! This is normally a 4 star establishment, but my visit yesterday was far from what I would consider acceptable. I've purchased bags, wallets, and sunglasses here in the past. My litmus test for couture shops is primarily based upon the treatment when visiting them scruffy and disheveled...which happens 9 out of 10 times and assistance is always offered. Yesterday however was THEE WORST experience ever. Passed by roughly 5 SAs and they either glanced at me and turned aside or disregard my presence all together. I mean, it was blatant. I made eye contact with several of them and not even a peep! C'mon, you don't own the store! Get over yourselves. Maybe I have to look like one of those Japanese tourists with my DSLR around my neck to have someone assist. I will let this one incident slip...please don't tarnish the once enjoyable experience I've been accustomed to at this location. Hopefully next time, I'll give you a bump in rating. read more

I've been a loyal LV customer for over 15 years, I hate to say it but the customer service at the SCP location stinks!!! Even in France where people are known to be rude I get much better service! I try to avoid this location as much as I can but sometimes it is nice to see/feel a bag in person. Trust me, I would much rather make all my purchases online! I've noticed that even the sales associates that are free on the floor don't make an effort to help, even when there is eye contact and you clearly are waiting for assistance. Do they think they are better than the customers just because they work at Louis Vuitton?! If they were all that I believe they would be buying and not selling. Anyhow... We stood around a while before someone finally offered service, this sales guy didn't know the colors, couldn't locate anything in the store, it was just frustrating. I spotted 3 of the bags that he claimed not to have sitting on the display cases. Sigh... Then he left us to wrap up another transaction and completely forgot about us. (He confessed when he saw us walking out). We stood around waiting, waiting, waiting...when I had enough of this BS, I told my husband we should just leave, but then magically someone decided to help. Is it really that hard to sell bags? I don't get it! This are not $30 bags you know? Geee. Even waitresses/waiters work harder than these people. We stopped by around 8pm, one hour before closing time. The store was not busy, I was set on a bag already so 15 min would've been plenty of time...this quick stop turned out to be over 1 hrs affair. Seriously?!! read more

I wish I could give half a star. This place is a joke... seriously, the worst customer service around. My friend and I arrived at SCP and hit up LV first. Not sure what the issue was, but the sales associates were following us around like we were about to steal something. If we looked in a glass case, or pointed to something inside of it, they literally walked up in front of us and wiped our fingerprints away. Others were staring us down and whispering in the corner. That said, my friend and I high-tailed it out of there after leaving as many fingerprints as we could... those rude jerks deserve to wipe them off. We decided to carry out a little experiment. We went to every other store we could, bought a few things, and asked for separate bags. Once we had a good 12 bags each, we walked back into LV on the way to the car to look around again. OH MY GOSH! They were so attentive! "Can I take that out of the case for you?" "Would you like to see that closer? Try it on, maybe?" etc. etc. Let's just say we left without making a purchase. They definitely judge their customers when they walk in the door and base their service on whether they think they're going to make a large purchase or not. Once they saw us with all our bags, suddenly they wanted to be of help. HA! I would not recommend this store to anyone. If they're working for commission - go to a store where they actually deserve it. It's almost funny how terrible the service was. All the rest of the 1 & 2 star ratings are absolutely correct. Feb/March of 2011...my wife bought me a Louis Vuitton Damier Graphite Florin Wallet. within 6 months, the glazing around the wallet started to peel apart. to the point where i had plastic strands coming from all sides of the wallet. Because there is no LV store near us, we didn't get a chance to bring it in to re-glaze it until Feb of 2012. Received it a few weeks later. Again, within 5-6 months, the glaze started to come off again. I do not stuff my wallet nor keep it in my back pocket. I've never had any issues with previous LV men wallets either. In November of 2012, we were at the LV store in Las Vegas where we explained to the manager about the wallet. He said they would re-glaze it the 2nd time for free and if it happens again, they might consider it a "lemon" wallet. I said that we'd take it to the LV store in Costa Mesa since it was closer. Due to certain circumstances, we weren't able to bring it in until today. We were told that this was a normal thing to happen to these wallets. Which is strange b/c my friend who has the same wallet doesn't have this issue. I was told that if i wanted it to be re-glazed, it'd cost me $140. serious? you sold an inferior product to us that can't even last a year and still want us to pay for the repair? It's not like we were asking for a new wallet. We just wanted it reglazed so when i pull out my LV wallet, it doesn't look like a freakin' octopus with strands hanging out from it. We were REALLY disappointed with the lack of understanding and customer service from that store manager (whoever worked that day). She/He didn't even bother to come out to talk to us and explain to us more about the situation. What happened to some customer service or understanding or belief in the quality of LV products? LV is okay with a lack of customer service to a loyal customer over only $140? LV is okay with losing a loyal customer over $140? This is the last LV product I'll probably ever own. This experience has made me lose confidence in the quality of LV products and their customer service. read more

One of the funniest shopping experiences I've ever had. Definitely the funniest LV experience I've ever had. I don't think we had to ask for help, I can't remember. So I wouldn't say the staff are hard to work with. The lady who helped us actually tried too hard! Went in, picked out two bags, and was ready to go. Sales lady asks if she can show me something, I tell her "sure, we'll wait". She comes back with a pair of heels, they're ok, but I'm not there for shoes and they're not really something I looked at and had to have. So then it's a wallet, to which I say "no thanks". Then she opens it up and shows us the inside and tells us how useful a wallet is. Thanks Miss Sales Lady, I never knew what a wallet was for. Still "no thanks". Then it's a scarf. Once again, "no thanks" so then she unfolds it and I'm getting ready for her to explain how a scarf works because obviously I'm the kind of girl, who still uses coloring books. Surprisingly she doesn't, she does however show me how it would look tied to one of my bags. Still "no thanks". Then she shows me the picture of the model in the catalog wearing it. Still "no thanks". Then she tries it on, as is modeling it for me is going to sell it, haha! Finally I tell her "I'm all set and would just like to check out". She offers sunglasses, some other accessories and finally gets that I'm not interested and let's us out of her grasp. Can't say she isn't a good employee. She would have sold the light fixtures if it meant a sale. I was exhausted by the time we left! Wow. She was positively draining! 3 Stars 1 For the bags. I really, really like them :) 1 For the size and selection at this particular LV. 1 For the now laughable experience I had here. -1 For the then exhausting experience we had with the sales woman. -1 For the over crowding of people in there. If I could give this store zero stars I absolutely would. I went in a couple days ago and bought a checkered bag. It was my first time buying anything LV. When I got home I decided I wanted the LV bag instead of the checkered one. And never took it out of the box to avoid damaging it at all. Went back today to exchange it for the one I wanted. And the lady looked at it for a little and took it to the back. She was gone for maybe five minutes and came back and showed that the bag had pen marks and stuff inside the bag and small scuffs on the outside. Keeping in mind. I hadn't taken it out of the box since I bought it.... They told me they would NEVER sell a bag that looked like this. And that someone had used it prior to me taking it back because there was pen marks in it and a few scuffs. They tried to tell me I had used it when I hadn't. And telling me they would never sell a bag in that condition when that's exactly what they did. I don't know if they did this because I'm young so they took advantage of that but to tell me I used something that I didn't and to say they wouldn't ever sell something in that condition when that's exactly what they did is ridiculous. Or maybe she went back and did that to take advantage of me being young. I don't know. But I'm absolutely appalled. And I wouldn't have spent that kind of money on a bag that looked like that nor would I take something back if I had used it. I've seen many other reviews saying the same thing which makes me think it's a reoccurring issue. I will NEVER buy from this store again (the one on the second floor) and I will NEVER recommend anyone to buy from this store. I wish I could give them zero stars. Their customer service is also not great. A lot of the people in there act like they hate their jobs and if they see people who don't dress top notch they treat them differently than those who do and those who aren't young like me.
