Best hush puppies ive ever had, prob the first time I've ever enjoyed catfish, and the chicken is tender and seasoned just right. As for the reason I dropped one star, I cannot put into words how absolutely foul the restroom is. Never in my entire life have I experienced a bathroom so grotesque. An unplanned stop brought me to this restaurant for dinner recently. I walked in without checking Yelp first, but glad I went there. The food was hot and fresh, served pretty quickly, and was flavorful. As for ambience there really isn't any in this very plain restaurant. Anything related to food, drinks, utensils, napkins, etc., are all behind the counter and security glass of sorts. Food is served in to go containers, but I ate it at the restaurant with a couple other patrons at the same time. The mashed potatoes were delicious along the lines of the stuff you get at KFC, and that is meant completely as a compliment. The chicken wings were hot and crispy as I ordered them, and the sauce had a nice kick to it. I ordered six wings a side of mashed potatoes and a drink, which was less than $12. In today's world that's a pretty good price. There's absolutely nothing fancy about this place, but the food was great. read more

Some good some bad. Good Came in early afternoon. Was past typical lunch rush but chicken was hot fresh and above all juicy. Service was quick and friendly Spice level I liked a lot. A bit of a peppery bite but not enough to scare anyone away. Coating held firm and was crispy. Interior is aged but we'll kept and clean. I would probably add a star if they dusted the light fixtures. Not so good The chicken suffered from the oil being used for chicken as well as seafood. Could not place it but there was an aftertaste. Dirty rice was bland. Could have used a bit more 'dirty. Unlike the chicken I could not really detect much spice. Rice with some black d meat. Had the 10 gizzards combo quite good. SLOW took 21 minutes to get them for some reason. At the drive thru got the standard southeastern asian voice that you just don't understand. First asked what kind of fish it and couldn't understand the answer did order that. So changed to the gizzards. Good mashed potatoes and gravy (beef gravy). Don't have ice tea just fountain crap that doesn't taste like tea. Probably wont go back because of the language barrier and no ice tea. Good luck though if you go. read more
