this place is amazing!!! i have been here SEVERAL times and the food and service is always a 5/5. ingredients are fresh and portions are huge! they dont skimp on meat or veggies here. there is a pretty wide variety of dishes to choose from. plenty of pescatarian and vegetarian options. also, the food comes out fast and quality and plating is beautiful! celebrated a birthday here before and got ice cream! will be back again! today I ordered the papaya salad medium spice level and the medium does have a good kick so just keep that in mind when choosing your level between mild medium and hot. Since we moved to the area, this has been our go-to Thai food spot. Ordering online is easy and it's always been ready for pickup sooner than the estimated time. I've ordered the Pad Thai with chicken, cream cheese rangoons, and the Pad Se Eew with beef. The portions for the noodle dishes are a good size. The Pad Thai could have used more bean sprouts, crushed peanuts and lime. The Pad Se Eew has very wide noodles which I love! The vegetables that came in the Pad See Ew were cooked well where they still looked bright in color and had a nice texture. Other places we've gone to cook the vegetables to death. The cream cheese rangoons were good but not anything special, so I don't think I'd order them again. Overall, we've enjoyed having a Thai food spot nearby and look forward to trying more items on the menu. read more

I have a love/like relationship with Love Thai. Sometimes, it is so on hit I wonder how it ever misses. Other times, it misses so badly I forget what it feels like when it hits. When I order, I go for the Vegetable Pad Se Ew with Fried Tofu. It's usually pretty good, but sometimes I feel like there's a different chef in the kitchen. Even still, when it is good, it's miraculous. It's no Neecha Thai (in Oakland), but it's one of the best I've encountered on this side of the tunnel. The staff here is always super pleasant, even though in all honesty I only interact with them for a brief exchange, since I always order takeout. Even still, in the time that I am around them, they're sweet and friendly. Speaking of dining in versus taking your food to go, this place is virtually always empty. I'm actually surprised they survive and have so many reviews, as it always seems so empty that I'm almost inclined to ask if they just opened or are just about to close. I love when Thai restaurants are run by actual Thai people. We came in for lunch really close to their afternoon closing time, and we were warmly greeted by the owner. She informed us they would be closing soon, but we could stay as long as we liked. We each ordered off the lunch menu, which included spring rolls and a small salad. The spring roll was light, crispy, and not overly greasy. The salad was nothing special, except for the dressing. It was a delicious peanuty dressing. The dressing was a light coating and not too thick. If it was made in house, the dressing is a winner. Our mains were the Pad See Ew and Pad Thai. The Pad See Ew was perfect. It had a nice, smokey, sweet, soy saucy flavour. The beef was tender, and broccoli nice and crunchy. The Pad Thai was a bit of a disappointment. The noodles were just bland. My biggest issue was the air freshener. It was like an industrial strength restroom air freshener opened completely. As a person with scent sensitivity, it made dining very difficult. I find that the quality of the food at Love Thai is inconsistent. Sometimes it's salty and watery, but other times it's perfect. I choose to remember the perfect times. The most recent order I made includes the Red Curry, Pad Thai, Pad See Ew, Golden Tofu, Satay Chicken, Papaya Salad and Stir fried eggplant. All of them were delicious. The Red Curry specifically was tangy in a way the yellow or green curries aren't. The eggplant stir fry wasn't salty this time either - kudos! I didn't eat at the restaurant, but I did go in to pick up the order. The ambiance of the restaurant was classy and quiet. When I asked to pick up my order the staff politely informed me that it wasn't ready yet and that I could sit on the bench while I waited. I appreciate their communication. read more

I'm a HUGE fan of Thai Food over 30 years of experience of eating their food. I ordered Tom Yum Chicken soup... It lacked flavor. it did not have any herbs in the soup.. no cilantro, lemongrass or Kaffir leaves... just broth with BIG white onions. I also had their fried egg rolls... the worst I ever tasted... MUSHY inside... only carrots and maybe taro root? The dipping sauce was vinegary. Lastly, I had their panang beef lunch special. It barely had beef.. maybe less than 10 pieces. It wasn't rich or creamy. It did not taste like panang, but more like red curry mix. Sorry... no LOVE in their cooking... it seemed they cook like a robot. Nothing special. We were craving Thai food, so we decided to give this place another try. This time around, we ordered: - Pad Thai with beef - Red curry with chicken - Spicy string beans with chicken - Nam tok beef salad - Spicy catfish Pad Thai with beef: Similar to my review of their pad Thai before, I really liked their noodles because they were chewy and not overcooked. I thought it could use a little bit more sauce, but all the flavor was there. Overall I liked it. Red curry with chicken: my first impression looking at this dish was that the flavor was gonna be lacking/mild, given how pale the color of the curry sauce was. I was expecting it to be much redder. However, I was pleasantly surprised to find out how the curry flavor really came through. In fact, this dish was super creamy. This turned out to be one of everyone's favorites from all that we ordered. Spicy string beans with chicken: this one was probably my least favorite from all that we ordered. I thought the flavor was spot on, it kinda reminded me a lot of thai-style basil stir fri, flavor-wise. But the green beans could've been more cooked. They were a little bit too crunchy for me. Nam tok beef salad: OK, their beef salad was a bomb. I thought the entire dish was super well balanced; it was savory, slightly tangy, hearty (because of the beef), and very refreshing. You could eat this one with steam rice, or just eat it on its own. It would be perfect either way. I would get this again absolutely. Spicy catfish: if you do not like sweet-and-sour sauce, be warned that the sauce really reminded me of that. With that said, I thought this dish was pretty good. I thought the catfish was deep-fried just a tad too long, so it had a super dark and almost borderline burnt color on the fried coating. But other than that, I thought this dish was pretty solid. The catfish was tasty and still retained some crunchiness even after being stir fried in the sweet and sour sauce/glaze. And I love how the sauce came loaded with a lot of veggies, mostly bell peppers. I would order this again. read more

Four of us went to this restaurant and ordered an early dinner that totaled over $200.00. Two of the four entrees that we ordered were totally unacceptable. Instead of a coconut milk sauce, we were served coconut milk out of the can for the sauce. Two of us ordered sweet rice with fresh mango for dessert. It came smothered in coconut milk out of the can, the rice was dried and had some balls stuck together and tasted old, it was awful. We had been there before, around 3 months ago and the food was cooked completely different and was okay. We let the server know that we were unhappy with our meals and her attitude was, "she cannot do anything about it." We don't recommend this restaurant at all, save your money and go somewhere else serving Thai food that has good reviews and recommendations, which is very important when choosing a restaurant. read more
