NamTok Beef Salad - the grilled beef was quite dry and chewy but the lime dressing was nice and tangy making it quite appetizing. Thai Beef Noodle Soup - it had a variety of ingredients like beef, beef balls, pork cracklings, bean sprouts etc. The beef was again quite tough. The broth also seemed a bit watered down compared to other Thai Beef Noodle Soups I've tried elsewhere. Seafood Silver Noodle Claypot - it didn't come in a sizzling hot claypot but in a sliver wok like container. It had a great variety of seafood like fish, prawn, calamari and mussel. The vermicelli soaked up all the wonderful seafood favors and was really tasty. This was our favorite dish. read more

Four of us went here for dinner before a concert at the Pavilion and glad we did. The food is amazing and the dining room is clean and modern. The owners are very nice and checked on us while we were praising the details and quality of the food. They are very picky about the ingredients like where they get the noodles and it shows. Each dish is a photograph. The portions are good for sharing too. Drunken noodles, ginger salmon, mango prawn salad, and golden tofu fed 4 people perfectly. After two days my wife and I wanted to go back and we ordered different items. The curries are amazing and homemade. Go for the curries!! The location is great if you live in Walnut Creek. Just 12 minutes on YVR and you are there with easy parking and a grocery outlet and CVS for any errands you need to run. I wish they had other beer and wine selections but around the corner is a liquor store and I'm sure they will let you bring it in or charge a small corkage. read more

It was another night of the 'what's for dinner game' and I was in the mood for noodles and my bf is always good with rice so I thought Thai food could satisfy us both. We placed an order for delivery of Pad Thai, Fried Chicken Fried Rice and Tod Mun. First, the rice was well seasoned and the fried chicken was good as well. The batter of the chicken was a little soggy but that's because it was on top of the rice in the to go container. (If you're going to order take out or delivery for this dish, I suggest asking to pack the chicken separately to avoid the sogginess.) Second, the Tod Mun was tasty! The patty was a bit smaller than I've had before but it was cooked well. It wasn't oily like I've experienced at other restaurants so I was definitely pleased with that. Last, the Pad Thai was disappointing. The noodles lacked flavor and were DRY (like really DRY, when I would go for a bite the noodles would break), barely had any bean sprouts, two small cubes of tofu, no green onion, and I didn't see any egg. Unfortunately I didn't get the tangy/sweet flavor of tamarind. Overall I wouldn't mind trying other dishes or maybe dining in will make the difference next time. read more

Thai cuisine is my absolute favorite food. I have dined at many Thai restaurants when I used to live in the peninsula and frequented the ones in SF. Unfortunately, I didn't love Love Thai. I love the name though! And the prices are reasonable with generous portions. Presentation is great. But when you are used to dishes prepared a certain way, you can't help but compare. And I know there isn't only one way to prepare a dish. Love Thai just didn't wow me like I wanted it to. When I called to place my order, I asked what type of fish they use to cook their Sweet and Sour Fish as it doesn't state on their menu. The gentleman didn't know and had to ask the kitchen. That was a first. But at least he checked for me which I appreciated. They use basa. The breading on the fish was weird. I did however, enjoy the fresh vegetables that accompanied the fish. The Honey Garlic Wings tasted flat. Not sure if the chicken wings were old. The sauce was fine but there was something odd about the chicken itself. It had an odd smell. The Thai Style Fried Rice was bland. Needed seasoning to wake it up. Probably the best dish out of my order was the Stir Fried Eggplant. The green beans, however, were undercooked. And sadly, I've had better Pad Thai. Kind of disappointing when you see the five star reviews. Although the food wasn't my favorite, the service was great when I picked up my order. Since Love Thai just opened up recently replacing Bronze Buddha, I will wait a while before my next visit and possibly try other dishes. I'm hoping the cook was just having an off day. read more

I wish I could give more stars than five! This Thai place is very yummy. The dishes are consistently tasty and well balanced. I particularly love the pumpkin curry (chicken or shrimp - can't go wrong!), pad Thai is really good, and most recently have been thoroughly enjoying the honey lemongrass pork. The food review alone is worthy of five stars! What makes me wish I could give more than five stars is how responsive they've always been (whether ordering from them or through "special instructions" on door dash), regularly made requested adaptations, but they also go above and beyond. Last time I didn't get any pumpkin in my favorite pumpkin curry. I made a note in the "special instructions" area on my door dash order and received this note on my order.
