Tofu & Vegetables with Param (Peanut Sauce)
Rob D.

I'd been wanting to try this strip mall stop for a while. The ambience was casual, but fairly cozy and clean. There were decorations and lights that gave it a nice vibe. The service wasn't super-attentive (usually had to flag the waitress down) or overly friendly. But, the server did respond to all of our requests and was accommodating. The food was good. It didn't blow me away, but it wasn't bad at all. I asked for a side of Thai hot chilis, which magically transformed my fried rice into something more than it was to begin with. If you like Thai food and are in the area, it's worth a try.

Pad See Ew

A well above average Thai place. Loved their pad see ew! I had better but this is pretty good. The pad see ew comes with chicken (choice of meat), broccolis, carrots. Plenty of carrots and broccolis. I love the sauce, it's more saucy than I prefer. But overall very good. Chicken is a bit dry, but the portion is very big. Overall I enjoyed. Will order again.

Yellow Curry with tofu and chicken

Lady that attended us was super friendly! Attentive to our needs. The food was really good. Yellow curry hit the spot, my prawn salad was a hit. Sweet and savory. The place had a great feel to it, clean and well lit.

Check out Love Thai Restaurant in the Clayton Valley Shopping Center for a modern vibe and classic Thai dishes. We had the yellow curry with chicken - creamy curry, tender chicken and soft veggies. We also had the garlic noodles with pork - delicious garlic flavor and tender pork. Service was great and the ambiance is modern and fresh.

This is a nice place and the service is good. I have never been disappointed by my meal selections. It gets a 4 instead of a 5 from me because they often have one server who is also the greeter. If there are a few tables to attend to, it might take a while to take your order. That person is also getting things ready for the DoorDash orders. However, once they get around to taking your order, the food comes quickly, and it is tasty. Soft pop music in the background. Adele, Bruno Mars... I heard a customer request that the music sound be lowered a bit, and they kindly did it. Nice place. Just make sure you are not famished when you get there.

Eggplant Stir Fried... Bell peppers, green bean, and basil in spicy garlic sauce.

I was very happy with the food and the service. The portions are a decent size. The food came out quickly. My friend and I got there 30 minutes before they were closing. Yet, they still seated us. Which a lot of restaurants won't do. I had the Eggplant Stir Fried and it was definitely the best dish! Full of flavor and just super yummy! The Panang Curry was good but a bit on the sweet side. Which I just wasn't used to. It was still very good. We also had the Tom Kha Soup and it was good. The only thing I would have ordered without... was the tomato they put in it. I'm not a fan of tomatoes in my Tom Kha Soup. Otherwise, the meal was really good! The prices weren't too bad. Comparable to a lot of other Thai restaurants. I would definitely go back again.

Love Thai is nicely decorated with a heart theme, it's a cozy comfortable place to eat. I appreciate that the environment is calm and you can actually talk comfortably to your dinner companion. On the menu there are a couple mentions of God, which is not what you'd usually find on a menu, it didn't bother me but might bother some. The food was good, and the service was okay. The prices are very reasonable and they seem to do a big to-go business. I thought the Yellow Curry was too heavy on the coconut. The Pad Thai was average. I've had other dishes in the past here that I've enjoyed more. Overall a good experience.

Pad See Ew (Beef) LUNCH MENU

This is also one of my go to lunch spots while I'm working. They have a really good lunch special menu during lunch hours, and I always get the pad see ew. I seriously love how they make it, the flavor is always on point and the portion size is perfect for lunch. The lunch deal also comes with a small salad and a veggie egg roll, which makes it even better for the price. Which pricing is normal amongst Thai restaurants!! Lunch deal is even a steal. I actually haven't been here during the dinner rush to dine in, but I've done plenty of dinner takeout orders after work. There have even been days where I liked my lunch so much that I ordered dinner ahead of time while I was already there and just picked it up later. They've always been super accommodating about that. When dining in, they check in during and after the meal to see how I liked it or what they could do to improve. It's just the way how the lady say it, not in a bad way but more as looking to always improve and cater to the audience. Not a lot of restaurants/waiters/waitresses even bother, they always simply ask how's the food and go on with their shift. Their Thai tea and ice coffee are both really good too. I'm picky with drinks because a lot of places make them too sweet, too creamy, or watered down, but they balance everything really well here. I honestly wish they offered a "dirty" Thai tea, which is a Thai tea mixed with Vietnamese coffee. It sounds like a caffeine overload, but it's sooo good. I actually made my own version once by ordering a Thai tea and an iced coffee to go, drinking a little from both, then mixing them together myself. Since both drinks were already made so well, the combo ended up tasting amazing. Who knows maybe they can do it if you'd ask, they're so accommodating!

Chicken pad thai

ARE YOU KIDDING ME?? Ridiculously delicious!!! Please open up in Brentwood!!! I've been driving all over looking for a good chicken pad thai and holy smokes was this worth the drive! We also had some veggie rolls that were so good. Just go give them a try, and tell them to please open a love thai in Brentwood for me. Great service, clean place, amazing food! 10/10

Food and services is amazing, highly recommend, fresh + Clean + love God and that papaya salad is so good for a hot day like this.

Jasmine rice
Ces C.

Positive: 1. Place looked clean and cozy cozy 2. Server was very nice and checked why I didn't finish my food. Rare you get that in other restaurants. She asked what could be wrong with the food why I only ate half of it 3. Curry tasted good 4. Thai tea tasted good For improvement: 1. A little pricey 2. Rice for Curry was mushy. We ordered for Jasmine rice but that one didn't taste like one. We are familiar because we use Jasmine rice at home. 3. Roti with yellow curry sauce was very, very oily. I had to press them down against my table napkin to remove the oil. I would have tasted way better if they didn't come very oily 4. Hawaiian fried rice tasted weird. I cannot identify what was causing the funny taste but it was something like burnt or maybe a flavor they used but it didn't taste good. That's why I hardly ate half of it. See photos.

Pad Thai

Walked into Love Thai expecting decent Thai food, left convinced they named it after how much I'd fall in love... with every single bite. The decor is romantic--heart garlands dripping like they're flirting with the ceiling, carved wood panels screaming "live love laugh." Now the food? Straight-up 10/10 treason against my usual takeout spots. Portions are generous enough to make you question your life choices (in a good way), flavors are bold but balanced, and the service is friendly. If you're near Sac and haven't been yet, what are you waiting for--your taste buds to file for divorce? Go. Eat. Fall stupidly in love. I already did. Will be back before my arteries can protest

You can see in the receipt we got a lot of food for $198.03 The complementary bread & butter to start was high quality. Nicely salted room temperature butter. Variety of breads with distinct flavors, including sourdough. My bone-in veal parmigiana was crispy, nicely seasoned with melty cheese. The sauce was sweet, smokey, bright red, with a tang. The ravioli side with meat had a meat sauce that was more subdued, but also delicious. Reminds me of the NYC Italian-American restaurants I grew up with. The LOJ burgers were on point. Juicy meat & fresh, high quality vegetables. The gnocchi melted in your month, with a nice braised short rib sauce. Distinct from the aforementioned sauces. My wife's Joe's chopped Italian salad with chicken was good. She said it wasn't extra special, but would order it again. The drinks were very good: Arnold Palmer, Shirley Temple, & a Cherry Coke they forgot to charge me for. You have to get the Bombolini desserts with chocolate & fruit sauces...enough for the 3 of use who ate dessert. Think delicate donuts on steroids of quality. The service was excellent. I wish it were less noisy, but that's how it is in many popular restaurants. We definitely will be back.

Most were out mostly but a few items remained. We looked again at the menu and saw bbq links. Husband inquired. Initially was told no, then one of the cooks grabbed some sausages from the fridge started chopping them to put in a pan. Not quite what we thought bbq smoked sausage would be and my Husband informed them that we're still looking. Now we're looking at a seafood platter. Another typo. So, I confirmed the $10 2 piece fish special with 1 side and ordered that. My husband ordered the seafood platter with wings, prawns, and red snapper. Fried seemed like the best option to get a fresh dish. The wait wasn't long. The interaction between the staff and us seemed to be more at ease and welcoming once we ordered. We thought the fried items were seasoned well and plentiful but the sides were less desirable: red beans, cabbage, and greens(which were the best ). I was happy to hear that sides didn't have meat. Restaurant seemed fair in presentation and we watched a portion of an episode of Nemesis while we waited.
