I've been here several times and I always add something new to the rotation. Everything here is that good. 5 stars - Jackfruit salad. Jackfruit, fresh herbs, spy protein, fried onions, and peanuts tossed in a sweet lemon sauce. Served with black sesame seed rice crackers. I order this every time. It's a cold dish that is refreshing, light, and has a good balance of sour, sweet, and savory. This is a good dish to start with and share with others. 5 stars - Grilled noodle. Yellow noodles, soy sea nuggets, soy protein, tofu, mushroom, lettuce, bean sprouts, and fried onion, served with seasoned soy sauce, and small bowl of broth. Try the dish before adding the side of seasoned soy sauce and broth. For my taste, I like adding them as I'm eating. It doesn't get salty, but makes it more flavorful. It's a huge portion and I've portioned this out as three meals before. It's a lot of food! 5 stars - Wonton soup. Wontons, mixed vegetables, in a savory broth. A friend first recommended this to me and I thought it might be too standard for my taste. But it turned out to be very good. The broth is tasty. A dish to warm you up for those rainy days. 4 stars - Spring rolls. Rice noodle, soy sea nuggets, tofu, lettuce, and mint, rice paper, served with peanut sauce. The peanut sauce is a little two sweet for my liking. Otherwise, it's a solid dish. Nice change from the standard tofu spring rolls found in other places for vegetarians. And those soy sea nuggets, the texture is so similar to shrimp. How do they do that? When I go here, I can't help but look around at the food that people order. There's much more I want to try here. I tend to love Loving Hut restaurants, and this restaurant is no exception. The menu has a wide variety of Vietnamese, Thai, and other Asian dishes, alongside an assortment of sandwiches. Everything I have ordered here has been absolutely delicious. I recommend the jackfruit salad, BBQ noodle bowl, any of the soups, and definitely the vegan "Oreo" / cookies and cream cheesecake (it's sooo good, and I don't even like Oreos !). Service is pretty relaxed, so you might want to let them know if you are in a hurry. I don't mind watching Supreme Master TV while I wait or eat (sounds cultish but it's really like a happy news channel, yes, I drank the Kool-Aid). It's a casual eatery, so maybe not the spot for a romantic date, but great for a lunch with coworkers. First time here and the food is excellent with huge portions and great variety. The service is wonderful and the food comes out quickly which was a plus because I was hangry when I got here! The spring rolls taste better than the ones at Lee's (and Lee's spring rolls have pork & shrimp). So good. They were out of the protein for the Mongolian plate I ordered, so I switched my order to chow mein and it was delicious. Great assortment of vegetables. My absolute favorite vegan food!!! It tastes so much like the real deal but doesn't kill my tummy like other places. I absolutely love their Jackfruit salad that comes with dragon fruit chips. -This is not what you'd expect but it is so delicious and fresh. The bbq Noodle bowl is to die for! The noodles are perfect, the soy meat is perfect try seasoned. The egg roll it comes with is perfectly crispy! The cold salad is so fresh with a little mint & cucumbers that balance the dish. Don't forget the sauce it comes with perfect to the dish. The Spicy Chacha plate is supposed to be shrimp & rice but I tend to go for the crispy noodle instead. Both he rice & noodles are great but I love my noodles. The spices it has keep me going for more. Mmmm.... I used to love this place! I wanted a break from my usual pho so I came here to revisit. I used to work in the area and I was here at least once a week. WHAT A CHANGE. It has been almost 3 years since I've eaten here. Food has the same great taste (that's why they get an extra star) but the SERVICE was terrible. I stopped in on a Friday night to order some pho to go. I was standing at the counter for about 10 minutes before I was even acknowledged. They were busy so I let it slide. I placed my order, pho and a vegan Oreo cheesecake. The man at the front insisted it would be 20 minutes because "there are so many tickets ahead of you so go wait" and motioned abruptly with his arm towards the general room. I waited in my car for exactly 20 mins. During that time, I saw 2 couples sit down, order and receive their food. I walked inside to ask if my order was ready. I was rudely told "NO we will call you when it's ready, just wait." I sat down at the table directly in front of the counter. I sat for about 10 more minutes and during that time, ANOTHER couple who I had seen sit down after I ordered, got their food before mine. Finally, my food was ready. I was excited! I took it home. I live 2.4 miles from this location. I opened my bowl of soup to find it was COLD. Not hot. Not lukewarm. Cold. I'll stick to my usual spot Pho Lu. I first tried this place in San Diego a few years ago and it was bomb. My opinion still stands with this location. I don't usually go for vegan food or tofu substitutes but they make it work. The asian noodle dishes here are super flavorful and the portions are a decent size to share. My friend and I shared the Guru Curry and the pad Thai. I loved the pad Thai! So good! No complaints. The guru curry... only thing I would hope is for them to cut the potatoes and carrots into smaller pieces. The carrots were really big! And I wish they gave us move of the curry sauce. It was more like a dried up curry. The staff were very friendly and always came by to make sure our water cups were never empty! Thank you!! I think that is one of the few small things a restaurant should always keep in mind. So many people get upset when they always have to ask for water. Very attentive! Great job! This is the best vegan place I ever had. We tried royal noodle soup and portobello burger and they are both really really delicious, and you can taste the freshness of the vegetables in the food. This is another place that I've eaten just about everything on the menu. The lady that works there remembers everybody's names and their orders. I've been coming here for years and I don't even know her name. She even recognizes your phone number. Just amazing!!! My favorite dish here is grilled noodles. I ate their grilled noodles almost on a weekly basis for about a year until I just got so sick of it and took a 6-month break from it. Now I order it sparingly. Mongolian beef - this is an awesome dish!! The sauce is amazing and it has that chargrilled taste. BBQ noodle is another popular dish here. I always see people get it. I've tried it twice. It's just ok to me. The meat and egg rolls are just average. The key to this dish is the fish sauce and it's just ok here. Heavenly salad - refreshingly. I get this dish often. Love the dressing. I got it to-go once and was shocked to see the amount of sugar in the dressing. No wonder it's so freaking good. Pan fried rice noodles - I like this dish here but it's not something I order frequently. Jackfruit salad - another good dish Royal noodles - my eating partner loves this dish so we get this often but I don't think it's good. The soup is salty and has no vegetable taste in the broth. Udon noodles - the broth tastes very similar to the royal noodles. Pad Thai - not bad, but nothing special Eggplant with tofu- I actually really liked the dish but they gave me soft tofu instead of fried tofu as pictured. Philly cheesesteak/burrito - similar in taste since they use the same kind of meat and seasoning. The vegan mayo just tastes weird. Their dessert selection is awesome. I love the cheesecake and pandan cake. Dishes I would not get again: Pho Wonton soup Cha cha shrimp Golden salad I'm sure I'm missing a few dishes. If i could give zero stars, i would. I was sooo excited to try this place. My daughter and i are vegan and my husband is vegetarian and we were starving for some Asian cuisine. My son met us at the restaurant but doesn't like Asian food so he went through Carl's Jr. and got the Beyond Beef Famous Star and said he'd try my dish to see if he liked it. My son stayed outside and we went in to order...then the employee came out and said we had to leave because my son had meat. We were perplexed because he didn't have meat, he had a plant based burger and i was going to order food for him to try with me, but the employee didn't let me have a chance to explain. He just said we had to leave. We were outside and no one else was outside near us and my son didn't step foot inside once. We would've been more than happy to take the food to go but again the employee wouldn't even give us a second to tell him anything. Very bizarre way of running a business and honestly not great for vegans. This guy assumed my son had meat, even though he didn't, but I'm thinking how strange to preach tolerance but that guy wasn't tolerate at all. I wish i would've had a chance to tell him it wasn't meat. But say it had been~ why not let him try a plant based dish? What if he's trying to go vegan? Now that vegan restaurant just discouraged and upset a person on the verge of going vegan. How weird. I will never go back to this place because clearly they are not welcoming. Horrible service. My son said Carla jr down the road was nice tho- so you are better off going there and getting their plant based burger. Update: in response to the manager saying we had Buffalo Wild Wings- again, not true. I don't even know where a Buffalo Wild Wings is and sure as hell wouldn't eat there and again just as i stated before WE DID NOT BRING OUTSIDE FOOD IN. We were wanting to try the restaurant and would've been happy to take it to go. So instead of playing the he said/she said game why not apologize and train your employees on good customer service. I was having a crummy day and I needed comfort after a scary flat tire incident on the freeway. I stumbled onto this cozy spot I'd never been to. The nice lady behind the counter was kind and Can I just say, Wow! How Pleasantly surprised I ordered the best fried eggplant tofu ever! It was packed with flavor and tasty wonderfulness. The sauce was velvety, basil was fresh and the eggplant was cooked with a bit of firmness adding texture with white rice on the side. They got a pretty interesting menu. Seems like Vietnamese, Thai, and even lasagna was on there? I ordered the Jackfruit salad and the bbq on vermicelli. Both were delicious ! We aren't vegans but we try to eat kess meat for multiple reasons. These vegan meat dishes threw us off because you couldn't tell it was vegan meat. The place was small but it was filled up. This is the first Loving Hut I've ever been to, and I loved it! The owner is super sweet and welcoming, and the food is delicious. I was in the area and ordered the Hainan rice with some sort of meat substitute + teriyaki(?) sauce to enjoy in the car, and it was very satisfying. I also ordered pho with soy chicken to-go and it was incredible! Since going vegan, pho has been something I've missed greatly. One of my all time favorite vegan restaurants. Their Vietnamese dishes are the absolute best! My favorites: 1. Bun (bbq noodles) is the absolute best! Amazing smoky bbq beef, non-fishy fish sauce, and crunchy delicious egg rolls! Fresh veggies. I get this every single time so I haven't tried much else on the menu. 2. The pho is probably the best vegan pho I've ever had. The soup is salty and looks greasy (but it's not), and they even have some vegetable that looks like tripe. My toddler loved it and even ate the faux meat. 3. Pandan cake (the green cake). I never had this before but it's so good! Tastes like that Filipino banana leaf wrapped sticky rice. Subtle sweet flavor. Delicious! Again, I haven't tried that much else so this is a limited review... but you can't go wrong with these three items! read more

I have ordered these two items multiple times, and have yet to be disappointed. I also recommend the Spring Rolls & Spicy Cha Cha ("shrimp"). It's mostly an Asian-themed menu, but they also offer burgers & wraps. Meat-lovers, please give it a try! I am shifting to a vegetarian diet, so I'm not well versed in the good local vegan restaurants near me. I needed to go out for lunch so I googled "vegan food near me" and Loving Hut was the first that came up. And Google did not disappoint me. The location is kind of tucked into a little "chain mall" so it can be hard to miss. It was very clean and quiet inside, and I was greeted by two employees. I ordered the BBQ Noodle to go, and they prepared it very quickly. I took it back to my office and it was one of my favorite office lunches so far (been working in Santa Ana for over a year). The salad was crisp and fresh. The rice noodles were cooked perfectly, not mushy or anything. And this may sound silly, but for a recent vegetarian convert, the soy protein slices were cooked and flavored so nicely you wouldn't know it wasn't real beef. Not to mention, their crispy rolls were delicious! I will definitely becoming back! The place itself was nice, my family and I got 2 classic burgers and a portabello mushroom burger and 1 mango smoothie. My burger still had the wrapper with the vegan cheese on it inside so I had to constantly take it out of my mouth and peel cheese off and then take the wrapper out. Burgers were still good but that's a big health code violation that I had to solve myself, if the food was handled better I'd return! Just watch what's in your food before serving it! read more

We have this place another try and actually I think it was better this time. We did pick up instead of delivery and I feel like that made a difference because much of the food remained crispier and in better shape. Crispy rolls still amazing and they do have so many vegetarian and vegan options. Golden rolls still my favorite especially with their house sauce. We actually tried the bbq rolls this time and thought they were pretty good with a vegan fish sauce that my husband thinks is pretty close to a regular fish sauce. We haven't tried many sandwiches but I did have a bite of my husbands banh mi and I think that hits the spot if you are in the mood for Vietnamese food but looking for veggie option! I've tried a lot of those from regular Vietnamese restaurants and I think this one is way better than other places. I do prefer a lot of the food without fake meat in it but my husband needs the extra "meat" to fill him up. The service is also fast and it's just such a quick and easy choice for vegetarians! Ordered to go...they don't cook the pho noodles all the way and tell you to make them later, plus make your own soup so you get broth with nothing in it so nothing is marinating. It's quite sweet broth too...not really pho tasting. Got grilled noodle...that broth wasn't right either..very watery little flavor. The to go boxes get soggy, and the silverware is a spork good for nothing really. Plus they put the hoisen and hot sauce together in one little cup so you get barely much hoisen and can't avoid the hot. It's more expensive than Huntington Beach... really wondering why. I much much more prefer the Huntington Beach location. read more
