My husband and I recently changed to Vegan and gluten free diet or at least trying to. We saw this place and gave it a try and OMG it was so delicious didn't even taste any different then the regular dishes we get at the Vietnamese restaurant. This place used to be my favorite place to eat vegan food. Ordered: hainan chicken with rice. The hainan chicken didn't taste anything like a real hainan chicken. It tasted more like chicken with oyster sauce. I was pretty disappointed with this dish. I think I'll have to order my original favorite dish to see if it changed. Was craving vegan Vietnamese food for lunch, but my usual place (Thuyen Vien) was closed :( and my second favorite place (Hoa Sen) was just a little too far. Did a quick search for something similar and Loving Hut popped up, so off we were! Loving Hut is a super tiny, hole in the wall kinda place in a strip mall. When I saw it, I knew it was gonna be delicious. There are 2-3 tables outside and 2-3 tables inside. It was very busy at lunchtime on a Monday; constant pick-ups and phone calls for to-go food. The woman was very nice, great service, and I noticed that the majority of their customers were regulars -- she knew all of them by name. Onto the food: - wonton soup: 4.5/5 - soup was extremely flavorful & umami, lots of veggies. Wontons were honestly just ok, but the broth was so delicious that it really made up for them. - golden noodle soup: 4/5 - soup was tasty, lots of veggies, lots of "chicken." I thought I was done with all the chicken and kept finding more and more pieces which was a fun surprise. - Mongolian beef: 4/5 - comes with rice & a side salad. I was surprised at how meaty the "beef" tasted. Portions were quite big & my partner and I walked away feeling completely stuffed. We loved that they gave a ton of veggies. Absolutely make sure to ask for the chili oil to mix into your soup. It isn't spicy at all, but adds so much amazing flavor and really takes the broth to the next level. Next time we'll try the golden salad and the royal noodle soup as we noticed other people ordering them. They also have a bunch of vegan cakes that looked delicious! Honestly, the peanut sauce that comes with the spring rolls was the only part that I really liked. Don't fret! If you're a carnivore its okay! This is a happy spot for carnivores and their vegan friends because the food is savory you'll come hungry and leave feeling satiated and light. Bbq noodles are decent with the nuoc mam/ fish sauce substitute but if you're American and that freaks you out, ask for peanut sauce to eat with your noodles. You will get a bang for your buck & the portions are very generously sized. Customer service is just as amazing food. Our first time going, the owner, Chi, asked us if we were gluten free which made a HUGE difference in my dining experience, especially when I get really excited about trying a new spot and forget to mention gluten free. I finally tried them and I wish I could say this location was better but it just wasn't. I feel bad saying that because the staff was nice but it's the truth. My husband had the Pho and he wasn't impressed at all. For being a vegan restaurant I think we expected more veggies and the broth was bland (even for vegan broth). Lots of noodles, though. The Pad Thai was really oily and heavy. I dislike the imitation meat and seafood bits they add to food in the vegan chain restaurants so I just had tofu. This shop is small & family owned, super cute little hole in the wall. The guy who served us was really patient and let us take our time really looking through the menu. We ordered the Summer Rolls, BBQ Noodle, and the Pad Thai....they were sooo good. You definitely feel one with health eating these dishes (haha), but nothing short of delicious flavors. This is another vegan restaurant that serves some amazing food. I would much rather have dishes with meat, but will never complain if I have to eat here. Everything tastes so good. I would even go out of my way to eat at Loving Hut Service is sometimes slow, but the food is worth the wait. They are closed on Sunday which is a bummer. The dining area is small and often full. We often get our food to go. Most of the food is Asian cuisine but there is a burger, burrito, fries. Check out their yummy desserts. They change daily. This place is the best for vegetarians! Love it so much I have tried a couple dishes from this location and have been pretty impressed with them! I recently tried the jackfruit salad which was a 5/5 super flavorful and a good portion for sharing The pad Thai that I ordered however was very bland I asked for spicy but they did not adjust the order and instead gave me a spicy sauce on the side that I think was Sriracha.
