There were a good variety of tile options to choose from and I finally decided on a tile that was in a difficult spot to move to find the right matching streaks of color to match the paint. Anticipating my dilemma, Lowe's Sales Specialist Joseph and Gabriel came to my rescue. With their friendly and helpful demeanor, they offered and moved boxes of tile so I could find the right colors. Being curious, I asked them many questions about the tile and about my financing options. They responded very courteously and provided the answers I needed to know. I was very happy with Lowe's tile and purchased them. This was not the first time I was impressed with the customer service at Lowe's and based on the other Yelp reviews, good customer service is the norm here. I was sent a tech who wasn't specialized in kitchen aid- after calling their 3rd party call center I finally got a specialized tech on 9/16. The tech advised me he was going to order parts for repairs. I called the 3rd party contractors several times for eta on parts and they somehow don't have any idea of what ETAs are. The repair contractor also had no idea what escalating to a supervisor meant because they denied me the process of addressing my concerns. After multiple phone calls I was told 10/9 (today) I would finally have a tech making repairs- I was told to unplug my fridge 48 hours before (which I did) Come to find out the 1st tech didn't order my parts and the man sent today couldn't make any repairs- "we'll call you when we get the parts." Well, let me introduce you to Ms. Management @ Covina Lowes (pun intended). In fact for the latest gaffe, I was promised an 100 dollar rebate plus a 100 dollar gift card to return shop at Lowes. Both of these things have not been delivered. Now, before you call that a bounty, do understand that it took over 8 scheudled deliveries to install a washer and dryer at our house. From ordering us the wrong equipment, arriving outside a delivery/installation window, not showing up at all, down to telling us we needed new connectors/valves when we did not, it was quite an ordeal. The only reason why this place gets the two stars is that within the store there are all stars who go above and beyond to get the job done, and know what they are doing. Because, without them, our washer and dryer would have never been installed. So... the moral of the story here is know who you are dating. Avoid long stories and, follow up on your follow ups. Had a very nice experience at Lowe's in Covina on north Azusa. Andrew helped us purchase an electric fireplace. They only had the floor model and one they were going to replace it with. Andrew spoke to his manager and he was able to sell the one they had already set aside and unboxed. He helped us load it into our van. On the way home we realized there was a piece missing. Sigh. I wasn't a fan. During COVID times, a lot customers will use the option of ordering something online, then choose to pick it up in store. This would shorten the duration we'll have to spend in public spaces. It's a very effective way to prevent infection or spread by staying home as much as possible. (Of course, we should wear a mask if we are out in the stores.) With that said, I ordered some replacement light bulbs online from Azusa/Covina's Lowes because IT'S CLOSEBY. (This is significant.) The price was nice, but the emphasis was that it's located within a close distance. I would've been fine with purchasing them anywhere else (as in Home Depot or any similar businesses) for slightly more expensive price even, as long as I can get them promptly due to a small amount of driving. The main focus was: We wanted a no-hassle night. Get out, make a quick trip, and go home. And that wasn't how things ultimately unfolded. Lo and behold, the bulbs were not in stock at the original location, but the staff didn't inform us so. Instead, they simply transferred the order to another branch in Industry, BUT DID NOT bother at all to ask us, if this is what we would like to do, or if the larger distance would factor into my decision making (it did). They simply just transferred it elsewhere without my permission. (Is this a common practice? I honestly want to know.) The above all happened behind the scene without us the customers knowing. We were kept out of the loop. In the end, we got an email telling us to go pick up, and we didn't pay attention to the pick-up location address had already been switched to Industry. (And we shouldn't be expected to catch this detail, because that was NOT what I specified during the ordering process.) It was only when we're already physically at the counter in Azusa/Covina's building that we were informed in person what had occurred. Oy! It wasn't a very pleasant surprise. We wanted the light bulbs on the same day, so we sucked it up and drove to a few cities over. My card's already been charged, the order was waiting, and we didn't wanna bother looking for another store since it was already close to closing time for most stores. We weren't left with a lot of viable options at that point, so we just went with it. It wasn't ideal, and as customers, we weren't happy. Overall, it's just a bad practice stemming from miscommunication, or in this case, total lack thereof. It isn't a big deal if they can inform us what they're going to, keep us on the same page, in a timely manner. It really could've been handled better, and that's the main point of this review. It isn't Lowes is a bad store; I would probably use it again. But on that particular day, improvements could've been made in both procedures and customer service areas. read more

I purchased an electric Craftsman pressure washer but it was defective so when I attempted to return it with the receipt within the 90 day return policy they tried to say that because it's an outdoor power tool the policy is 30 days and I was a few days beyond the 30 days. The return policy both online on their website as well as the policy in the store clearly states..."Excluding Craftsman brands which is 90 days". They insisted I was wrong despite the policy how many saying 90 days. The manager was rude and absolutely refused to read the policy written on the wall and the website I was trying to show her on my phone. So I left the store and drove to the San Dimas location where they understand the policy and promptly refunded my money. The clowns at the Covina store needs to seriously put their horrible bad attitude in check and learn what the return policy actually says. I will never shop at the Covina store again and will drive the extra miles to San Dimas where they are friendly and know how to treat customers. I have visited Lowe's on occasion to get my home repairs done. I must say that the customer service is the worst. The employees stand in groups and disappear when they see a customer coming. I even had an order pulled for a project, received an email stating it was done, arrived the NEXT day. Order wasn't pulled or ready. 1.5 hours later they finally got to it and pulled the worst material I've ever seen. He had to go back and re pull all the lumber. Furthermore, on 4 occasions, they sold me used merchandise. Now I happen to know that is illegal in all states unless otherwise marked. Where is my -100000 stars? Had such a crappy experience that I am still dealing with to this day. Was supposed to get a washer delivered to my house and have them remove the old one. They weren't on time, in fact they didn't even show up to my house. The reason for them not showing up? the truck they had was too heavy and overloaded so they were going to reschedule. How nice of them to NOT let me know this and I wasted 3 hours of my time. It's a finger pointing game with this store as they blamed the delivery company they work with, and the delivery company said lowes cancelled the order for that day. whatever the case may be i paid for delivery on a certain day, and pick up. I didn't get the item delivered or picked up. Eventually they delivered the item, but didn't pick up the old item. I had to dispose of the old washer myself. We are retired seniors who have been loyal Lowe's consumers for more than 20 years & never had a problem until we had floors installed this February. Their contractors, Keller Interiors, sent a man & his wife to install laminate floors. We were told to expect "a team" but a couple came to demo & install the floors. In the process, they removed layers of previous tile & linoleum. That was fine, except they also removed the bathroom sub flooring so the floor was not level in a few areas. They could have suggested we add more support under the floor before installing the new floor, but they did not. Over 4 months, the floor sustained a cracked plank in the bathroom & soft spots in the hallway. Their 2 inspectors blamed it on a toilet leak, possible shower leak, & probable shoddy previous work by our own contractor & left. They claimed we needed 4 more boxes of planks to repair the "water damaged" ones. This was after being very verbally disrespectful to our daughter on the phone & in person (when she tried to explain about good customer service & how to fix the problem because she has worked for several years with office installers). They bounced on the floor & said, "I feel water under the floors! You have a leak! This isn't our fault!" We called our own licensed contractor to inspect the areas for leaks, remove the toilet, & find the problem. He found NO WATER around the toilet or under the floors! NO DAMPNESS anywhere in the bathroom nor hallway! Not a surprise to us, but sad to think Keller Interiors would not even try to find the problem. Shame on them!
